Boulevard Brasserie in City of London, Westminster

I had afternoon tea with a friend and was disappointed . Not worth the money. I asked for strong tea twice and was given one tea bag separately for a large pot of tea. The sandwiches and cakes were pedestrian. Certainly not worth the money. Overall experience - awful.

Good value, traditional French bistro experience in the Covent Garden area. It is several years since we went to Boulevard and we were delighted to find it was as good as ever. Although we had booked some time ahead we were initially a bit disappointed to be seated downstairs, although it got better as downstairs filled up, but we would still have referred being on the ground floor. The servers were nice, but obviously very pushed to be able to serve all the tables downstairs. The food choice was excellent and we both very much enjoyed our choices. I had the specials escargot starter and rabbit in a mustard sauces, my wife had a wild mushroom vol au vent followed by baked cod. We will continue to recommend Boulevard to friends and will try not to leave it so long before we visit again.

Will definitely be coming back; great food, service and atmosphere and reasonable price. Had the french onion soup (yum), Boulebaisse (yum) and friend had the chicken salad which was fabulous. Selection of wines really good.

We walked past this restaurant when we read some bad reviews but decided to come back and give it a go. I’m so glad we did. It is a little gem. Fantastic Brie fillo parcels, grilled garlic and chilli prawns, French bread and some of the best fries I’ve ever had. Staff were really lovely and it is reasonably priced for central London.

We were warmly greeted by Amos, served by a friendly, polite & professional Ronaldo, the jovial waiter. Turning to the food, our biggest issue was the removal of the Lamb Rack due to the winter menu being introduced which wax one of our favourite dishes. However, the Beef Bourguignon was an excellent substitute. This must be the most underrated restaurant in London. TOP QUALITY FOOD & AMAZING SERVICE, “who can ask for anything more”!! 😋😋

Visited for the first time. Normally I’m nervous of dining in or near Covent Garden so checked out the reviews first! They were glowing so I felt more confident. I shouldn’t have worried the whole experience with my wife and two teenage boys was fantastic! We will definitely be coming back!!

We had a great time this afternoon, the waitress was absolutely amazing throughout and the waiter who gave us our bill was also a lovely man. I have been 5 times now for afternoon tea and would thoroughly recommend every time. Thank you Boulevard Brasserie for a most enjoyable afternoon before my cousin left to return home to Glasgow.

Fantastic meal at Boulevard Brasserie on Saturday night! Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and an amazing table for our party of 8 for a special family occasion, which the restaurant kindly accommodated for us! Not only was the food delicious but the pre-Theatre menu was amazing value for money especially for the location and everyone raved about the restaurant as much as the play we saw afterwards! Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Very nice traditional French restaurant in Camden Town. For a minute you could think you were in Paris. Great food at a reasonable price. Waiting staff very friendly but seemed under-pressure. Did not detract from an excellent experience.

I went to have Afternoon Tea. It was cheap at 30 pounds per person, but everything was delicious. The scones were especially delicious! We made a reservation, but it was a bit disappointing that we couldn't sit in a good seat (window seat) because we had the last reservation. (When making a reservation, ask if a window seat is available.) The tea is not tea leaves but tea bags, but it didn't really matter because I couldn't tell the taste well anyway. It seemed like a good place to go for food other than afternoon tea.

Good food! Steak was perfectly cooked! Waiter was very nice; he had a lot of tables so service was a little slow but got out in time for our show. I really liked their half bottles of wine offerings.

We dropped by this French restaurant for a Saturday lunch after some shopping, and it was great. We got a table right away, which was a nice surprise. The service was super friendly and quick, and the food was delicious—really hit the spot. We’ll definitely be back!

Good value set menu with interesting choices, French relaxed atmosphere , good service not rushed

This is a favourite as never disappoints. Tonight we were able to linger as did theatre first! Fabulous service, delicious food & terrific VFM with OpenTable offer. It was a birthday treat for my friend - she was presented with a card, many good wishes and finally a most decadent chocolate mousse cake with candle and rendition of Happy Birthday. Thoroughly recommend

There were 5 of us for lunch - the restaurant was soon full. The food was excellent, I had baked brie followed by a delicious salmon fillet with roast potatoes. Although I was fairly full when the cheesecake arrived I did enjoy it. The service was friendly, efficient but slow at times. We had a 50% of the cost of food deal (min of 2 courses from the main menu) which was very welcome. A most enjoyable lunch.

I am a very regular customer of Boulevard Brasserie. I think its deals offer outstanding value and the quality is great. I wasn't too happy with the location of our table, and to their huge credit, they found me a more private one as speedily as possible. They are always anxious to please. I will be back soon.

Always a pleasure to dine here and service was top notch, as usual. Sadly, the Malbec wasn't up to the mark but the staff willingly changed it for Merlot which was far better. (Although I suspect this may have been due to my annoying "Geographic Tongue" condition which causes me to taste things differently on different days! Mia Culpa".

Got the 50% off food offer which made the meal very good value. Food was delicious, service a bit slow but one waiter was looking after all the tables upstairs where we were so understandable. Would definitely come again.

We all had the fixed price menu - starter and main course for £18.45….what a bargain! The food was amazing. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection and served on a huge bed of green beans, pesto, olives and tomatoes. Amazing service from the waiter. He was very chatty and attentive. A perfect spot for Covent Garden (2 minute walk) or the Lyceum Theatre (also 2 mins walk). Will definitely return!

A lovely meal again at Boulevard Brasserie. It is definitely a place that we return to when we visit London. The food was really tasty and we had a fabulous window seat! Waiter was extremely experienced and attentive yet not intrusive. Food was delicious and very tasty. Limited options for gluten free and cumbersome presentation with having to search through a folder however, food looked and tasted good.

This is my favourite Central London restaurant. Food, location but, most of all, the staff. So efficient, accommodating and friendly. A joy.

We love BB. On this occasion, the Brie and the coffee could have been a bit hotter but everything was as delicious as always. And the staff are superb.

Came here for a meal before the theatre and had the best time. The wine was great and reasonably priced, all of the food was amazing and good value for money. We also had the friendliest waiter who was lovely the entire time. We are absolutely coming back soon.

Good food, would say the service was impeccable however once paying the waiter / manager couldn't be more abrupt and rude. Charged us the wrong table and wouldn't resolve. Would love to go back but left a sour taste in the mouth.

We were visitors trusting open table reviews. This was a good choice. Great location Food was good and good service. One course we had was the liver parfait which was very tasty but not presented in a way I expected. Very enjoyable dining experience.

In terms of food variety and quality, Boulevard Brasserie is a great place to eat. We were a little disappointed that they would not fully honour a discount that had been offered, in writing, by the Assistant Manager (now left). In fairness, it was about three years ago. In our view such a promise should always be kept. The current Assistant Manager did give us a free dessert each.

We had a very nice experience for lunch. Great food and equally great service. Lovely intimate ambiance.

Really lovely little restaurant in the heart of theatreland. Great fixed price menu, as well as a la carte choices. Very reasonably priced. Quick service and good wine selection. Attentive and friendly staff, who offered us to come back later (after we had seen a show) to claim our birthday dessert! Would absolutely recommend and would love to go back again soon. Couldn't fault it at all.

Fantastic food (we had salmon, duck and cod). Wonderful ambience and service, I always feel like I am on holiday in Paris when I come here. The waiters also gave me a hand written birthday card, and a bottle of prosecco to celebrate my birthday. Absolutely delightful, a real gem

It's always a treat to dine at this delightful French restaurant in Covent Garden. As soon as you arrive, you're made to feel welcome by the cheerful staff. The ambience exudes a Parisian vibe. I enjoyed the seafood linguine which was flavoursome and well presented. For dessert, I tried the Clafoutis which was delicious. I will definitely be ordering it again. The staff were great. They were knowledgeable and took the time to answer questions relating to the menu. Nothing was too much for them. I highly recommend this restaurant which is why I have frequented it for several years.

The peas and asparagus risotto is soooooooo good! Lovely service too!

Very much an old favourites night, with chicken liver parfait, boeuf bourgignon, coq au vin and crême brulée all variously consumed, and all excellent. The service is unobtrusively fine and the whole ambience charming. One of central London's best-kept secrets, judging by the general absence of tourists, but clearly well-known to the locals and deservedly so.

Delighted with our pre-theatre dinner here and would recommend it. We were so relaxed we nearly forgot our theatre booking!

We had afternoon tea and the food was v delicious. The Earl Grey tea was of good quality. Our server was v nice and friendly. I would recommend BB for afternoon tea as it is not highly expensive and, it's located in West End area which I like.

My 2 grandaughters (16 & 17) invited me to go to Covent Garden with them! Wow! I booked Boulevarde Braziare to have some lunch. Had to be BB, I been there before & enjoyed the experience! We all loved it, French cuisine at its best. We will be back….

We had a wonderful, pre-theatre meal here on our last visit to London in 2022. With that meal in mind, decided to visit again for dinner when not pressed for time on this trip. We both had a meal made up of the daily specials: our cocktails were Kir Normande, followed by the Plate de Jour, veal escalope Normande, and for dessert, we shared the Tarte Normande. All were very tasty! Once again, a lovely evening - this time spent leisurely to enjoy every bite!

An OK meal but whole place feels a bit tired. The maitre d came across as very sad, and glanced as us when we arrived, said nothing and we were led in silence to our room upstairs, the only people in there, and then he walked away. We had a nice gin and tonic to start, but there was no really snacking starters we could share apart from olives, so didn't bother. We had a cod and a lamb dish. The jus for the lamb was OK, but a bit mean and not the amazing French jus we wanted. The side veg were OK, but the dauphinoise was oddly cheesy. Nice wine. We had the cheeseboard, but the lovely waitress didn't know what the cheeses were, and they were pretty average. Its in a perfect location opposite the Royal Opera House but had the slight air of a tourist trap, its fine but could be so much better, but perhaps they don't need people to re-visit.

I don't know whether we were unlucky but was a bit disappointed going for a pre matinee theatre meal 14/9. My friend had agreed to treat me for my birthday and I choose this restaurant after reading reviews 2 of the 3 of us ordered veal Normande for our main course and the veal was very tough to eat. We also ordered Kir Normande and had to make do with ordinary Kir. The waiter was pleasant but the service a bit slow. The French Onion soup was nice.

We went to Boulevard Brasserie to celebrate my brother’s birthday. The atmosphere was welcoming and buzzy. It is very cramped as they obviously want as many covers as possible and the neighbouring table had to protect their food and glasses from being knocked over as we tried to get to our seats. After a slow start to take any orders, everything else was very efficient and helpful. The house red wine was lovely and the food was tasty but not great, though we did eat it all! Excellent value with the 50% off the a la carte menu and, even though we had a lovely evening, while I’d return I wouldn’t make it a regular place to eat out.

Superb pre-theatre experience at Boulevard Brasserie. We arrived a little early but were seated straightaway. The waiter (Antonio I think) was incredibly funny, friendly and very knowledgeable. He knew in advance that we were celebrating our anniversary, and he presented us with a glass of Champagne each on the house! He also knew that we were entitled to the 50% discount offer through Open Table, and allowed us time to peruse the menu. This avoided any awkward conversation about whether we would get a discount, and was very mush appreciated. The French onion soup was superb, as was the Boeuf Bourguignon. Portion size was also prefect. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The food was really excellent. The produce was fresh and it was perfectly cooked. The staff were very friendly and did all that they could to please. And the prices were competitive given the area.

Lovely authentic French restaurant set in a great London location. Opted for the 50% off food menu which, as well as the food being delicious, worked out to be a great option and good value. Great waiter who was very attentive but didn't feel rushed so enjoyed a leisurely 3-hour lunch. Definitely plan to return and would certainly recommend.

My wife and I came here last night for a wedding anniversary meal. Food was delicious and the staff lovely. And with the opentable deal, the bill was very reasonable. I'd definitely go again and recommend it to other people.

The restaurant is one of my favourites, been here so many times for business and personal meals. The services level are outstanding, food selection are fantastic, last but not least the flavours and presentation are amazing. Everyone has been so helpful, the manager is also extremely accommodating and friendly, all members of staff are lovely and helpful, will always return.

Went in at 2 pm London time. The place was empty. Ordered a French onion soup (French) and fish and chips to go/takeaway. The soup did not have the caramelized onion flavor or aroma. At best it was from a box mix. Came home with the fish and chips. There was a sliver of fish covered in 10” of thick undercooked batter. Zero salt, zero pepper & seasoning of any kind. Therefore zero flavor. The batter was gooey inside and tasted of raw flour; which it was.

There was a hair in my food. Service on arrival very slow.

A really lovely restaurant we sat around the corner on the entrance floor. Only criticism was we waited around 15 mins to be offered a drink. We did get offered water as soon as we sat down though. Food was delicious and well presented. Would return again

A party of six for a family lunch. We all chose the prix fixe menu. The quality was well above expectations for the £19 price point. Delicious boeuf bourginon for me, chicken paillard and fish for others. We all agreed the courses was freshly cooked and that the dishes were not just churned out. Starters also good and very pleased with my crème brûlée desert. House wine was also very good for the price point. Overall, we were delighted to have an excellent lunch in a good Covent Garden location. Shout out to the staff as well.

A lovely meal with excellent and expert service. The atmosphere was pleasant and although busy in parts of the restaurant we were not at all hurried and felt we could stay far longer than we had time for.

Wonderful trip to the Boulevard, had the king prawns in garlic butter and chilli, absolutely delicious. My daughter had the cesar salad and added chicken, she loved it and ate it all up. Service was friendly and attentive Highly recommend a visit

A group of us eat here 3/4 time a yearand have done so for at least 5 years now. We return here because the food, the prices and the choices available and the service are all consistently excellent. My only concern is that its popularity makes it quite noisy and conversation can be inhibited at some tables on the ground floor.

Me and my mother in law visited on Sunday for afternoon tea and we were very impressed with the staff and the service. The staff was very polite and even with requesting if they could take our photo the gentleman got another colleague to take better photos for us. The food was amazing too. The music was a nice level so we could still talk normally. We plan to visit again sometime.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Boulevard Brasserie on Wellington Street, London, for my mum's birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting ambience set the perfect tone for the evening. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and the staff went above and beyond to make my mum's birthday special. The food was simply amazing, with every dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. What really touched us was the personal touch they added to the celebration. Not only did they surprise my mum with a token drink, but they also gifted her a hand-written card, which she was deeply moved by. It's rare to find a restaurant that combines great food, excellent service, and such thoughtful gestures, all at a very reasonable price. Boulevard Brasserie truly made the night memorable, and we can't wait to return!
