Its a local run down Spoons but the staff are really nice and the locals are happy. Food is quick and classic Wetherspoons. Pints are cold and plentiful, there's a little beer yard in the back and parking at the front. Coffee machine is usually working which can be unusual for a spoons. One of the more affordable places to drink in the area.

One of the better Wetherspoons we've visited in recent times. While food and drinks are very reasonably priced and decent quality, the service can be a problem. Every time we've been it's been busy, and every time only one person serving at the bar means very slow service. We've taken to using the app to order food and drinks, but service is still slow. We'll be back because it cheap.

Good place for a drink. Staff great. Had new carpets fitted and tables smartened up as at March 2022. New tables n chairs July 2023.

Proper click was watching TV no reason given as to why channel was changed manager was rude and unprofessional

Clean table, hot breakfast, coffee on tap, perfect.

One thing i can say is that it needs more staff, each time we have been in you always have to queue as there is only 1 possibly 2 members of staff on the bar. The time is tea time Fridays or Saturdays. But apart from that we've enjoyed our drink. X

Nipped in for a quick drink while waiting for friends

Best coffee around and one can drink as many as one wants but I find that 7 cups is enough so usually have a couple of hot chocolates to finish off

Always busy pleasent stiff value for money food and drinks

Food not as expected,staff not sure on tables, came in a few weeks ago explained to then manager whom apologize about food,stated he'll give us discount on next visit..... And woe behold a different manager on shift.....

What can I say its spoons u know what your getting

Went in for a coffee and some toast, looking for somewhere quiet. Found somewhere quiet. Lovely staff served very quickly and got what I wanted. Love going in around 09-30. Would recommend it.

One of the worst 'Spoons I've ever been too. Super slow service, dirty tables and uninterested staff.

Staff where very pleasant.and the assistant manager Sarah was amazing with the way she made us feel so welcome Sarah is a credit to your company.

I have visited this premises several times in the past 3 or 4 weeks and they haven't had any abbot on this is more obvious on Mondays when it is on the Monday club. I have now given up on going there. The staff are not very helpful and don't seem to care . Not happy

Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Only nothing but positive comments from the staff. I pulled up my pants and gathered the courage to order a fried egg (my guilty pleasure). Normally I get some stick from this, but the bar staff were supportive and even helped me cut it up. Thank you Wetherspoons for your service.

We ordered food and drinks -6 of us. Half hour later comes over to say ' no pizza dough' so ordered a burger, another 10 mins later came over to cancel the order as he was cooking the food and didn't want to poison us as he isn't a chef and a bar man. 🙈🙈🙈 After an hour got a refund and left. I'd have rather be told no food and we would have left. In the defence of the bar, there was 3 of them 2 days before Christmas in a busy pub.

Vegetarian Breakfast wasn't the best, they had no toast. Hash browns were only just warm. Disappointing. Staff were friendly.

I don’t want to give any stars my Mum and Aunty had food poisoning on 25/09/22 in Weatherspoons Moreton. If anyone else was poisoned please get in touch as they have done nothing at all about it. My Aunty projectile vomited on the table all over the the seats also and my mum was sick in a glass then the manager gave them a bag after they had cleared it up . My mum was vomiting in the toilet both very ill all the way home no one has contacted them only my Aunty has rang the manager. Doing nothing it seems could a senior manager please contact us about it as telling them to go on websites is not good enough.

Cold food 1st time I went so thought I'd give it another try for convenience reason but most meals where out off stock and the one I got was poor don't go hear for food on the other hand it's OK for a pint sorry but only 1 star from me

Just walked into the pub to the manager shouting across to locals. In my opinion very unprofessional and unnerving, so turned around and walked out.

Service was Good,some tables needed a good clean with spray,but it was good price for food and drink.

A great place for a pint, breakfast, snack or other meal, easy to get around, and welcoming staff, outside always looks good plenty of colourful hanging baskets, we like it a lot.

Waited over an hour on steak Tuesday to be told they did not have any, went with our 8 year old grandchild as a treat no food after asking twice, really poor service from a place we go to nearly every week but not any more 😤

A friendly place. Good value, nice food as you would usually find at Wetherspoons. The decor was uninspiring. Not the nicest one I've been in.

Tables needed wiping and condiments needed topping up. Other than that, great. Steak nice.

I came in on a Saturday lunchtime to find it somewhat busy. I suppose quiet for a Saturday. For now... By about 6 the staff were rushed off their feet. The poor people were short-staffed because of covid. But the two bar staff (Rachel and Ben) still did their jobs extremely professionally and still delivered great service. We ordered food which came in about 9 minutes. Good considering the rush. Nice, Tasty and Warm. Overall, an exceptional visit :)

Go early for breakfast or there's a queue for tea and coffee. They need another machine! Service is usually quick and the food is nice. Could do with a refurbishment though.

Went in for dinner at the weekend ordered a mixed grill and ham, salad, chips and halooumi cheese. When the food eventually arrived the manager Ozzie said i have'nt got any salad left but here's you ham and haloumi then walked off. Very poor customer service would not eat here again

2 burnt paninis and a burnt pizza, slow too, wouldn't recommend in the current state of it.

been waiting over 40mins for my food and a drink that i ordered through the app, and am still waiting. Edit And now an hour has passed if its much longer, im going to have to leave and go to work.

Alas,Wetherspoons let us down,2 hairs in wife's meal,I asked for mixed grill all meat well done,and it wasn't,usually go to,wallasey or hoylake,disappointed with Moreton.

Shocking place tables aren’t clean and toilets are filthy to top it off Went here to eat with kids brought adults meal out first no kids meal when questioned why there was no kids meal there reply was they had put the kids meals on hold don’t ask me why , kids were crying they were hungry I asked the waiter to take meals back till all was ready to bring out attitude on the waiter was shocking she didn’t so adults meal was ate before the kids meals were brought out then when they was the kids food had clearly been rushed and the pizza was like a pile of slosh kids couldn’t eat it in the end won’t be returning !! Whole point in going for a meal is so that your all eating together on this occasion that wasn’t the case !

I was out with a friend and he was disabled in wheelchair, so had to go right at the back of the pub .People where very good saying sorry and moving chairs but you as a company have forgotten about people, who would like to go out and feel comfortable and have a pint, without the night starting with sorry, excuse me ,. can you move that chair.!!

We had the large breakfast again not that hot as in heat wise asked for extra toast all the toast only cooked on one side toaster not working properly very disappointing last time going there

I go in with my girlfriend frequently and we both enjoy going. The staff are always lovely and accommodating. I like that it feels more like a local pub than just another Wetherspoons franchise.

A nice comfortable place with tables and alcoves, that serves meals, coffee, spirits and beer. There is a large range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at very attractive prices.

You get what you pay for is not true in Wetherspoons, beer £2 a pint (Ruddles was 99p) and decent food for £6 or £7. Service was ok, a little slow, but Covid is still affecting this. Altogether a very satisfying lunch with friends, Mockbeggar Hall is recommended.
