The Minories in City of London, Westminster

Although it's a big pub, with a long bar, there are plenty of discreet seating areas, indoors and out. I've visited during a busy night and a quiet afternoon and enjoyed both visits. Friendly bar staff too

If I could give them zero I would absolutely trash total tourist trap being by the Tower of London went here on a recommendation and now would not associate with said person anymore save yourself!!

Popped into this venue today and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere – really rare to find somewhere with such a good Friday vibe these days. The place was buzzing with city people, but it still felt relaxed and welcoming. I was greeted by a lovely blonde girl at the front – she had great charisma and was super friendly. Made me feel right at home. She took the time to chat and introduced me to the food menu, so I decided to try the burger. Honestly, it was pretty decent – way better than the usual places where they just throw it together like it’s fast food. You could tell there was some care put into it. This girl was an absolute star. Very warm, chatty in the best way, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what she was doing. I think she said her name was Chloeeee unfortunately – I’m only down in London for the weekend from Doncaster – but I’d 100% come back next time I’m in town. Great service, good food, and a top-notch vibe. Highly recommend!

We ate there as a family one evening. The fish and chips were good with the sauce. The waiter didn't have a smile and was only there to serve us our food. That's why I gave it 3 stars. It's still a nice place despite everything.

Large, busy pub stylishly located under a railway line. Very tasty food, including vegetarian food, service behind the counter and from the kitchen was quick and professional, the cleaning staff couldn't quite keep up with the influx of visitors... the tables were still sticking, weren't cleared away in a timely manner, etc. But overall it was fine.

We went here on the recommendation of a local, perfect stop for lunch. Had a couple pints, lunch special meals and some sides for our two kids in an enclosed area, worked out perfect.

This place has a wonderful vibe. But the best part was the loaded fries I ordered. The Chef Catalyn did an amazing job and the Duty Manager mark was wonderful. If your looking for a place that is easy going but also has people who love what they do. Make sure you have a visit!

Very cozy pub. Such a real local 😃 He has the mood; a bit dark, a bit noisy, just as it should be 🙂 The food was very very delicious! Order at the counter!

Good ol' pub with good beers and good food

The Minories, a large cellar style pub located under the arches of the DLR, next to Tower Gateway station. A great selection of beers and ciders is on offer. Many kegs but also three cask ales on offer. Loads of books and crannies to get lost in. There is also the world's most open confessional, every pub needs one. A fun place for a pint.

We just had a couple of drinks. The staff are efficient and with a variety of selection of creative ales or spirits only too happy to help. Sports on every tv which there was plenty full of. Beer garden at the rear spacious also with outside televisions. The atmosphere was very friendly with all we met. Happy enjoyable experience and fairly priced. Lively music a must recommend.

Popped in at the end of the evening for a night cap. Friendly atmosphere, Interesting railway arch architecture. Didn't eat and didn't bother finding a table. Very busy on arrival with the last 5 mins of an Arsnal game on the screens.

I haven't been to many English bars, but I think this is one to live the experience and have a good time with food, drinks and atmosphere

Every time we visit London we come here for a pint.

My son and I were looking for a place to watch the Arsenal v Real Champions league game. The Minories pub was close to our hotel. We headed there without booking, and watched the whole match standing because it was packed, but the vibe was great. Amazing experience. Servers were friendly. Then the next day we came back with my daughter and wife. We had Fish and Chips. It was delicious. Thanks for the experience.

Brilliant outdoor area lots of screens for the sport. The only disappointment was pre booked tables and people not turning up yet your asked to move. First come first served is the only way forward these days. Look after who you've got not who may turn up. Other than that if you are in the area and want a drink be sure to visit.

We did our staff party at the Minories. Everything was perfect. They had our table ready and waiting for us and were ready to help with any requests we had. Our food arrived quickly and was fantastic. The bar staff looked after is brilliantly. Well done !! We will be back again.

A Surprising Hidden Gem Under the Arches This pub was an unplanned stop for us—a quick drink, bathroom break, and a chance to warm up after a very disappointing hop-on hop-off bus tour. When we visit London, we love exploring the city’s historic pubs—there’s really nothing like them back home in Canada. I usually plan a well-researched pub crawl to hit my favourites, especially those with the most historical charm. This time, though, we walked in expecting a run-of-the-mill, nothing-special spot… but we were pleasantly surprised by what we found inside. It’s an “underneath the arches” pub, with trains rumbling right above your head. Inside, it’s dark and atmospheric—exposed brick, quirky details, and oddly enough, a confessional box tucked away in the corner! We weren’t sure what that was all about, but it definitely added to the fun. The drinks were average, and we didn’t try the food, but I’d happily return just for the décor and ambiance. It’s the kind of place that sticks in your memory—unexpected, a little odd, but full of character.

Came for bottomless brunch on a Saturday afternoon. The service was a bit slow to begin with but then soon picked up. The drinks were good quality despite them being out of some ingredients. We ordered the nachos and burger. The nachos were good quality but the burger was really poor and tasted overcooked. Despite this, we would return and would recommend this to others.

Great pub with good selection of drinks. The food is excellent especially the Mac & Cheese and the Fish & Chips were extremely tasty. The fish was really fresh with light fluffy crispy batter.

Went there to watch the 6 Nations rugby — at first, the staff weren’t sure if the game would be shown. Once we were seated, they confirmed it would be on. Ended up enjoying the match on one of the many screens while having some finger food and a few cold pints. Great atmosphere overall!

I think the atmosphere is pretty good. It's near the Tower of London. There are menus and wine lists on the tables. If you need to order a drink, just go to the bar and tell the bartender and swipe your card after you've ordered. The fish and chips are good!

Pretty generic but has a better selection of beer than its contemporaries, like Yates' or All Bar One. Decent location and interior. No rating for food as I didn't order any.

Excelente comida y el personal amable, Mark que nos atendió era una persona encantadora amable, baños limpios agradables, mesas limpias agradables y buena música, pero no a la comida fuerte era muy bueno Tenía las patatas fritas de pescado y guisantes mushy era un trozo de pescado muy agradable, mi marido tenía una hamburguesa que estaba bien cocinado y dijo que era muy bueno.

I booked a table on the system then travelled over to find that they had no table so had to sit outside. OK it was heated so not a major problem but why have a system that clearly does not reflect availability. I then went to order food there was a burger offer on form the 1st March to I think the 17th, got to the bar only to be told no that's only a six nations rugby offer again says nowhere that that was the case and even so it was a six nations weekend so fed up by now gave in ! Went back to my wife and we re ordered. The place was great but the issues stated resulted in my rating. Not good enough spoilt the overall experience.

I went to this restaurant/pub for a bite with a large group. Although the food was splendid the service was quite poor. I didn't experience it first-hand but my friends got the burnt of it. One of my friend is Muslim, who cannot eat beef or meat that's not halal. We had to get a limited order where we could only eat chicken wings and a cheese burger. Apparently she heard some of the staff laughing at her at the back when she said that she couldn't eat the beef. Another of my friend has a severe allergy to all types of nuts. She couldn't eat anything fried because of the possibility of cross contamination of nuts from the oil. Although, she was accomidated and given food it was just plain rice with chicken, with not much flavour which upset her a lot. Not only that, but the staff were quite unsure of the details of the menu like what type of oil they used, etc. Also, the salad was dry as hell. I hope my personal experience helps! ✺◟( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)◞✺

Had an amazing time at pub.. The atmosphere was great, but what stood out the most was the service. Their staff Neel was very attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Drinks arrived quickly, and he even gave us great recommendations. Will definitely be coming back!

Just stalling London and came in at random. Was served By Naz. He was fantastic and the Pub is friendly and spacious. Highly recommend if you are coming or going by the tower bridge

A pub near Tower Hill station. There are a lot of customers, probably locals. The clerk was kind. There was a wide variety of beers, including Japanese Super Dry. However, I gave it 4 stars because they didn't have the British standard PANK IPA.

A typical pub! Placed under the subway under old-fashioned brick arches, this pub takes us to the England of pubs. Match broadcast, order at the bar or at the table by scanning a QR code, we loved it. The service is fast and the fish, fish and chips, was huge. The prices are those of London even a little cheaper than other pubs in the surrounding area. The only downside was that the menu was quite "sticky" and the table which had just been cleaned too...

Theo was amazing. He deserves a raise asap, I will definitely be returning purely because of him. 5 stars and more

I really enjoyed the minority pub, something for everyone and great service. The chicken and chips was really enjoyable. We found a slightly quieter part of the pub which was appreciated and warm on a freezing day too. Thanks for the great service. The confession box and chair is very interesting too.

Everyone was amazing... The bartenders serve with a smile and the garden is a lovely spot to have a drink outside.

It’s a great pub and I imagine great to watch major sporting events. However on a Tuesday afternoon / evening in February it’s awful. Freezing cold! No heating. The staff said it was because of the doors, but there was nothing wrong with the doors 😂. They just didn’t want to put the heating on. I’ll be back in the summer…

Stopped in for a bite to eat on a wet evening. This is the first pub we’ve visited in London that wasn’t fully packed (should have been or first clue). Went to sit at one of the many empty tables … everyone of them needing to be wiped (empty of dishes but not clean). Our first thought was do they treat the kitchen this way, dirty? Stayed for a bite, food was good enough nothing to complain about. Reviews are here to help owners and management…don’t let first impressions ruin the dining experience.

We came here for the bottomless brunch and were not disappointed with the outcome. The drinks were quick to come and our server Theo made sure we got the most out of our experience here. He was very friendly and made delicious drinks, we were able to try almost all of the cocktails on the menu. We ordered the burgers, which were tasty and they were able to accommodate for certain food preferences. Overall a nice experience, can recommend.
