We had afternoon tea here, I’m dairy free and had rung ahead and was very encouraged as they were helpful over the phone. But when the platter arrived I could see that the cakes were all shop bought, dry and mostly chocolate. Very disappointed for a venue such as this. They did explain that it was for cross contamination purposes, but thats not really an acceptable excuse because you just need to wash down. To make matters worse there was a lovely looking homemade gluten free and dairy free chocolate sponge cake on the counter. I would rather have had 1 slice of that than all the poor shop bought selection. No scone was offered to me. So I would say if you have allergies this is not the place to come for afternoon tea.

Amazing Afternoon Tea! Classic sandwich fillings which most people will enjoy. We each had a mini cheese scone & fruit scone, accompanied with clotted cream and jam and the selection of cakes was perfect. Definitely gets my vote for the best in the area and great value for money!

After shopping in Hadleigh we thought we'd drive out to Millers for lunch. We looked at the menu and was astounded by the prices. £11 20 for an egg sandwich! We drove back into Hadleigh and had a choice of beautiful places with much fairer prices.

For starters, this is not labeled properly on Tripadvisor. It's the Miller's Kitchen, at the Kersey Mill, which is a cafe restaurant, outside of Hadleigh. Not Stone street IN Hadleigh. This should be fixed but I don't know how. I checked the pics, and sure enough there's a mistake here. So I'm talking about the Mill outside of town. The food... not great. We stopped by for first time yesterday for lunch, had a sandwich which I thought was nasty. WAY too much salty mustard. My husbands sandwich was dry and uninteresting. Had to ask for cutlery to be brought. We asked for tap water, which was brought to us in individual tiny glasses which was not enough considering the salt in the sandwich. Why couldn't they go a second mile and bring a jug of water out like most restaurants? What about an ice-cube? We had to wait and pay at the counter first, and I noticed a box of ice-cubes on the counter. Was I supposed to go and get them? I'm not terribly fussy as a person, but I thought considering the £11.90 price tag for a sandwich and a bit of mixed lettuce from a salad bag and a (very few) crips, this was extortionate for what it was. £8 would have been plenty to pay for it. I did NOT enjoy the lunch, neither did my husband, and would never go again, nor would I recommend it to any of my friends. It's a pity because they have a fabulous out of town location with plenty of parking, which was what recommended the place to me to start with. A message to the proprietors....you will probably stay in business because droves of people come to the Mill for OTHER reasons, and because you are the only one selling a sit down space and something to eat. You have a captive audience. But if you want to charge those prices (£11.70 cheapest on menu) and attract people who come just for a day out to the area, then you do really need to up your quality and service.

Very disappointed with this place. We got here at 1.30 and they were already without any wraps. I ordered the chicken pie (£10.00) and it turned out to be a tiny round pie that costs about two pound in a shop, it was tasteless and not good value for money. The chicken salad had minimum chicken in it. It also had an empty environment and the staff are very young. Not value for money at all and would not go back here.

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch here after wandering around Kersey Mill. Plenty of options to choose from and different seating areas , both inside and out .

The café is part of an entertainment complex on the site of an old mill. It hasn't got many tables inside but there are several outside. The menu is large with lots of choice, we went for cheese scones and milkshakes. The drinks order was delivered quickly but we then waited a while for the food, before going inside to chasing it up. They hadn't put the order through to the kitchen so we then got a hurried microwaved scone which was nuked so hard it couldn't be eaten. They refunded the scone money but frankly we were disappointed as the café should be able to process orders and deliver a warmed-up cheese scone.

Apparently this is now a large portion of fries; worthy of a £14 meal?!

We waited for over 10 minutes to be served but nobody was there. We could hear people talking/calling from the back room. We had to leave without being served. Will not be returning.

My first time in wolferstan arms yesterday and I was actually pretty impressed 👌🏻 I thought it's just a pub grub it will be like the rest BUT it was actually so much better and also the price range was good for how tasty the food is. 2 things that let it down slightly but it's only minor things and it happens. 1. The food took a little long for how few people there was in there and 2. My pudding wasn't 100%. BUT as being said not every trip will be perfect wherever you go. So thank-you for some amazing food and definitely will be stopping by again.
