Costa Coffee in North Warwickshire

My daughter walked especially to get a hazelnut frappe only to be told they didn't have it. She asked for a strawberry one with oat milk as she is dairy intolerant. She started walking home and drinking it only to discover it was normal milk. She was not going to walk back to tell them. Very disappointed. You should be aware of intolerances as she is now suffering as a result.

We come every week as we like the coffee , but the service has become so slow and the whole place needs some tlc . The chairs are filthy need a good clean or better still replacing . The facilities are always left in a state , not the staffs fault if the clientele can’t clean up after themselves I despair about humanity if they leave public toilets in such a state

Customer service at costa today was terrible young girl working with Rosie clearly had issues paying no attention to my requests had to do my coffee three times to get what I asked for very poor service from a valued customer. Not happy.

I should have wrote this a while ago but been busy. When I visited with my partner the other day, a young man and young lady were greeted by a challenging customer who was making staff aware of her allergy but in doing so, completely disregarding the Costa process that is mandatory as the staff explained. The lady some-how took this to some offence and declined help and said to leave it. I was the next customer and told the young girl on the till that she did a great job at remaining calm. Well done to both the young adults on shift, they responded very well to the abuse and challenging customer they were faced with. Coffee was good, customer service was good. Will be returning for any more late night trips when the others are shut.

Why you advertise as 24 hours, but have no one manning the shop? and when me and a queue of 6 people asked Moto staff why no one is at the counter, staff replied “because we….they closed the tills”. When I questioned « sorry to ask, but the website says you are 24 hours open? » she looked shocked, the says « oh because once they close the tills, it takes an hour to re-open them ». A gentleman near me said « well I questioned your head office before, they said should not take more than 10-12 minutes to re-open them ». She again looked shocked and not knowing what to say, and after a while “oh it’s because it takes at least 15-30 minutes to restart them”, and the gentleman next to me said « we’ve been here longer than 30 minutes ». She just walked off then and stopped answering all together, so we all left! Not 24 H then. Also, maybe check your staff are not actually taking the actual mic of you and fooling around, then making excuses when questioned…

I always stop here in the early hours of the morning for a coffee on my drive back from Birmingham after a night out. The place has plenty of seating & is well lit. The workers usually work alone some are pleasant, some are not But tonight 12th Jan 2024 I had the pleasure to be served by “Jon” who was not only the “most polite “ person I have ever encountered but really cared about giving the customer what they require. Excellent service, super polite & very professional ( even at 00.25 am ! ) I hope to be served by him again the next time I pass for a coffee

Friendly service and conversation, very happy to help, seasonal drinks were a delight. Very much recommend. I'm also surprised they were open at 2am. Thank you for the drinks!

You pay 35 pounds for parking and they cut your tarp in a couple of places

£4.05 for a coffee in a paper cup. “Can I have it in a proper cup please”. “ no”

This is my second time getting coffee from Cost Coffee, and unfortunately, I'm disappointed with the service. The staff seems indifferent towards customers and their wait times. It feels like they completely ignore the customers, which is disheartening. I hope the management takes note of this and works on improving their customer service.

Two baristas were mucking about with each other and got the orders out of sync but sorted it out eventually.

My partner ordered a hot chocolate with soya milk and a latte. On opening the hot chocolate drink but it was cold and it was only half cup so he went back to complain one of the staff has bad attitude and needs retraining for customer service. I've had the pleasure of having a hot drink from the same place a few weeks ago and the lovely young man who served me was awesome.

I visited in the late afternoon and, as is my wont, had a medium Americans, one shot with pouring cream, an absolutely delicious smoked ham and coleslaw sandwich, a packet of Burt's plain crisps and a packet of two ginger biscuits. The service was cheerful, friendly and polite and someone carried my order to the table for me. Discerning coffee drinkers take Costa coffee.

I mean how long does it take to make a hot chocolate!??? On a tight journey, we stopped for a quick refresh and wanted to be on our way ASAP-Costa Tamworth had other ideas! With only one rude, slobby woman behind the machine, taking seemingly as long as she could to make every single order that came her way, it was 15 minutes from order til we got our exceedingly mediocre hot chocolate. Over charged and watered down - save yourself the money and annoyance and avoid this Costa like the plague.

Always prefer Costa to the other chains. Great coffee.

Small Costa Coffee shop at motorway services. It was totally deserted! Services in general need a makeover! Refurbishment now taken place. Premises given bigger area with new tables and seats. Lots of space to spread out. However very busy on last visit, better organisation and more staff required in order to cope!

Called here on our way to Nottingham area Had 2 flat whites , a brownie and a chocolate tiffin .Everything tasted ok but have had better

Been standing waiting to be served for 35 minutes. One person behind counter for some time then 2 now 3 but not working very fast. Would never recommend this place. What a let down, zero points.

If you want cold coffee or capuchino that tastes like fresh drain water, this is your place.

Staff were lovely and coffee wasn't too expensive considering it was a service station. Loved the booth seats.

Fast service, usual quality from Costa, character roast is preferable although on this visit staff forgot to add Vanilla Syrup which i paid for. Didn't find out until we were back on the road and i took my first sip. 🤣

A totally decent venue, open very long hours great selection of products and really decent staff. Prices are as expected for a coffee and goodies. Plenty of seating available totally covid alert and always inviting guests to wear face covers but not forcing the issue. Just remember that you only get about2 hours free parking then it is a hefty charge so be careful and time aware.

3 lattes bought, all cool. Returned to counter and replaced but still only lukewarm.

The staff are very very rude! The tables are never clean. They say they are 24 hours I went in about 9pm and they are closed? This isn’t the first time this has happened to me. Very disappointed on the drinks as they are never made right when I do get a drink that is! WORST Costa in Tamworth!!!!

Standard Costa really. Staff seemed friendly and it wasn't overly busy. Still resent the price hike at the services, but seems to be across the board.

Great welcome with a smile even though it was 12.30am from Jack!! He made me a mocha which tasted great and he sent me on the rest of my journey with a caffeine filled smile.

I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich at this recently opened sandwich takeaway. Lovely cooked and a really hot "Hot chocolate" good luck on your new venture.

I dont know what costa have changed but the coffee was awful. Having a quality batista machine myself I compare to Costa which is never going to be the same but I feel they either the quality of their coffee beans have changed to an inferior type or they are simply not adding the right amount of coffee for a large cup. Was extremely bitter and weak. Very little or no crema on the surface of the coffee. Either way I won't buy anymore as this is the 3rd time in 2 weeks.

I work local to this costa two days a week and every time I go wether it be 9am or 10 pm there is never any sausage baps🤷‍♀️🙄what is the point in putting something in the menu and menu board to entice you in and when you get there to only be disappointed every time😩it’s only been in use a few months and already they are getting bad reviews .... roll over costa make way for Starbucks

We were served by a man named Jon! He was extremely friendly, helpful and efficient and made our drinks promptly.

Typical costa, over priced. The service station as a whole was covid safe. The WH smiths costa machine wasn’t working. So had to wait in a long line for a overpriced coffee.

Driving back down the M42, stopped off at Tamworth Services for the facilities and to grab a coffee at Costa Coffee on-site. Typical flavoured latte - as you'd expect from a Costa Coffee. Good to see that social distancing and protective screens are in place. Good friendly service in the West Midlands - thank you. One to remember if you are driving down the M42.

Very triggered by my experience at this costa coffee. Staff were very unfriendly and difficult to deal with. Ordered a coffee with an extra espresso shot, didn't get it despite having paid extra! When questioned, the staff were affronted and claimed we hadn't paid and didn't even offer to rectify the order. Won't be coming back here!

They served great coffee, sometimes I've to wait a little longer than I would but it still worth to pop in and taste your favourite coffee. Staff could be often check toilets and close staff room. Anyway nice place, I recommend it.

If you like hot chocolate go here and get hot chocolate with coconut milk and Black Forest syrup. Along with a vegan chock chip cookie is a treat that is worth the time. And it relaxes you very easily.

Every empty table was full of dirty crockery and rubbish. Shouldemploy someone to clean up the staff were so busy serving cleanliness was the loser.

Costa coffee does what it says on the tin. Clean decent coffee. As always a little pricey really but we all expect it...

I love Costa - and Moto Services M1 Costa coffee was as tasty as ever. The staff were friendly too. BUT the tables were dirty and littered and their machine would not accept a valid Costa card ("Our machine is old, that could be why", I was told). £6.90 for two coffees in a services that were also unkempt - never again.

Very poor service. Staff were not interested. Place was filthy. Very far from the standards expected from a Costa.

We stopped here on our way to our holiday. Clean services and superfast service at the Costa. Staff polite and helpful, coffee as good as others in the chain. Quieter than most services, and for this reason easy to find a seat and get served quickly.

Stopped off driving back from East Midlands Airport, Stopped for food, got told couldn't have cheese toastie as they had turned off oven, So wasted my time stopping here, everything else was closed, wish had gone straight to next services which has a 24 hour Starbucks.

Called in here late on got served straight away two lovely lattes served hot and quickly it was busy in here and clean.

A branch of the coffee chain. Range of coffees, teas, chocolate and cold drinks. Coffees and teas can be served hot or cold and you can choose a variety of milks whole fat, skimmed, almond, soya etc. Very nice range of cakes, sandwiches, Paninis, biscuits. Food can be heated if required.

It's a Costa Coffee.....but it's bloody Expensive Vanilla Latte is £4.15?!! It's still just a coffee....in a mug felt like I'd been assaulted!

Looks a bit of a state ... would do with a clean up and the doors mending so it was not like a wind tunnel.... I seemed much better last time we came here.... but we had been stranded on the motorway for a few hours!

It is a motorway service area so I accept the footfall is high but on the couple of occasions I have been here, the delay in being served while the idle staff behind the counter look blankly at you is beyond explanation. The other thing at Costa is the cake (not the muffins which are wrapped but the slices of cake you can buy) is always bone dry and just horrible because the cake is left exposed and drying out and you always get the next dried out slice. Just an idea, seal off the ends of sacrifice the ends to serve a moist slice from the middle.

Needed to stop on our way to Warwickshire. Got ourselves Costa’s signature coffee. I’m actually not a fan. To me Costa coffee is slightly bitter for my taste but can be welcomed when on the road. There’s ample seating.

Not a pleasurable experience. Long queue, staff don't look happy. Barista making a mess and plonking my flat white on a saucer covered in chocolate dust. And of course 50%.more expensive cos at services.

Too many staff and not enough customer service training rather let this Costa down. The place wasn't best clean and the kids running this place needed some training in manners and attitude. The coffee was average as was the luke warm mozzarella and pesto panini.

we pulled in for a coffee, love costa but this was apalling ... it wasn't clean and the prices were dearer than birmingham airport by far.over £3 for a regular coffee..a poor example of costa..

This is crazy expensive just for the only reason of been on the motorway but you get the same of other Costa if not worse. Over 5 queed for coffe and a pastry is really not reasonable. Medium americano (not very nice) 3.12£ Butter croissant (not really good) 1.99£ In London is cheaper

I just bought a halloumi sandwich as I do every day because I love it but unfortunetely i forgot my costa card home. I asked the barista nicely to transfer me the points on a receipt so than when I come next time they can add the points onto my card. Very rudely she answered that costa doesn’t transfer the points on receipts where I for sure know that they do because I did it before. I love costa but the service today let me think the staff is not trained enough in order to provide quality services. The best thing was that the paper from the receipt machine was finished and I think that was the reason she didn’t transfer me the points. I don’t know....

The staff are always so friendly in here. They all go above and beyond every time we visit. I had a broken wrist recently and they carried my tray over to a table without hesitation.

I needed coffee, I ordered coffee, I got coffee, decent coffee too. Apart from that it isn't really anything to shout about

The staff were clearly miserable and didn't want to be there. This reflected in the painfully slow service despite having many hands available . I asked for two toasted tea cakes and was eventually served two burnt tea cakes but was too hungry to complain. I asked for a tropical fruit cooler and got the mango instead. There was virtually no supervision going on or eye on standards. The coffee was ok, that's about the only positive part of the experience .

Popped in here on way North .. it was early one Sunday morning and neither ladies serving could smile .. after asking for bacon roll .. no roll told to go to greggs! Ordered coffee young lady put both coffee in carrier however one lid not on tight and spilt coffee over counter .. my shoes my white t-shirt .. no apology the lady serving was so miserable I cleaned up most of spill .. she did make me a fresh coffee but no offer of any recompense for my dirty stained trainers or t shirt .. will not visit there again intact worse service I have ever had in a costa coffee

Went in for a coffee on a Sunday morning. Ordered the toast. Asked if I wanted butter and jam without it being explained that they are "extras" that cost more. Said no jam. However whilst the slides of brown/wholemeal are nice you only get two small pre-wrapped butter pats. Not enough for two slices I discovered.

Standard Costa counter and service in a tatty location. The whole of this Moto M42 service area needs a make over, Costa being the only decent praiseworthy part.

This Costa Coffee shop at the motorway services station on the M42 has always been a joy for me to visit. There is a wide assortment of pastries or tasty snacks, all served with your choice of drink and a smile. A haven on my weekly commute to and from work!
