I have gone past it for years and always thought the outside looked dull and not welcoming at all. So if the effort is not put in for the outside, then there cannot be much effort on the inside. The saying 1st impression comes to mind. Needs flowers and plant boxes and some change in a bit of colour. Boarders around grass edges done properly and more outside design in general. Could have huge potential with the right look and garden area done properly.

Pub features in the historic pub guide due to its original interior decor. Food available with Two K's Kitchen weekends and certain weekdays (see Two K's Kitchen on Facebook for details first). A choice of two rooms to enjoy a range of beers including those from a local brewery. Parking outside. The beer garden in this rural setting is good in Summer to enjoy the sounds of local nature. Real fire inside during colder spells.

Not impressed - The pub is now ran by some unsual character's! When we arrived, the doors were locked with people inside (landlord's friends) What they were upto, I am not sure. Environment just felt strange, and not too good, it was like you were abstract to their own private party.... Music was mainly tacky, and way too loud for a quiet Sunday night drink. You couldn't hold a conversation in there...

firstly where do i start we came for a pint once arriving in the car park the owner approached us with a baseball bat and accused us of dealing drugs which is very strange as we have just arrived for a pint nevertheless we explained and resolved the situation once in the pub we got asked for id wich is no problem at all unfortunatly one of our friends did not have id when asked to leave we calmly walked back and shook the owners hand no problems there once back in the car the owner approached the car and opned the door saying he is going to hurt us all once we explained we are leaving he wpuld not move out the way and kept saying hes having a bad day bro do you want to go once explaining we are trying to leave he is in the way a knife was pulled out on his behalf once that happned we drive away rapidly very dodgy pub really terrible service would no t reckoned at all

We popped in on a quiet Monday afternoon for one drink. The staff were friendly enough and were quite apologetic because of the dirty glasses. I had a Bass, which was below average, but the Carling was better. Didn't get to try the food do we settled for crisps. We did notice the pub promote events like karaoke and bands. Hopefully, the pub can succeed, but it will need skillful marketing and a financial input

Interested parties are looking at getting rid of the pub. We need to stop this and need the help of the people to do this, the pub has history and heritage, people have travelled from as far as Australia to come here due to the history and heritage of the pub.

We called here whilst passing through the village after during a walk with our dogs. It was very quiet and on the edge of a small village. I didnt go in as had my dogs with me and no dogs were allowed inside (unusually for a small village pub) so sat in the beer garden. My husband tells me it was very old and traditional inside. From the outside it looked a little tired and rundown however it served its purpose and gave us some nice cold drinks on a sunny day. My husband had Guinness which was served how it should be and i had a can of coke (nice to have the option instead of flat syrupy pop)

Cracking night out!, the power of google search is amazing, I can't speak for what others think, but I wanted to meet my daughter and family for a meal & a catch up on a very cold winters day 28 Feb 16. Now the thing is I was in Somerset at the time and my daughter in Yorkshire, so a quick search for a good pub off the M42 lead to me ringing the landlord to see if I could book a table, Yes no problem came the reply, so I jumped in the van, drove the 150 plus miles and was welcomed by a very friendly LL & LL together great staff and a lovely open fire, (just like home), we selected food from the bar menu, Chilli, Burger, Fish & Chips, Jacket Spud with Tuna etc etc, Great Food, Great Hosts, Great location and to top it off they had the Irish band Finnigans Wake performing this was the icing on the cake A CRACKING NIGHT OUT , the only down sides were having to leave & the 3hr drive back home

I wanted a plate of food and a pint after a long day - staying nearby where could I go? To be fair the information available on the web is minimal ( different names, locations etc) but as within walking distance of where I was staying thought I would give it a go. Not disappointed, great selection of good honest pub food at decent prices with a nice selection of draft pints available - again at decent prices! Scampi & chips + a pint of Thatchers exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t have asked for better,,,,, It’s now called The Bulls Head!!

Well what an over priced poor experience, the beef looked and tasted like a cheap microwave dinner, the roast potatoes had sat for way to long under the heater to a point they were dry and hard, the veg was under cooked and the mash which we had to pay extra for way like eating stodgy sand, will not be going back when you can get better carvery at Middlemarch.
