Amazing food and great atmosphere. Danielle our server was brilliant. Very friendly and efficient. We were only looking for a quick meal on our way home and we stumbled across an absolute gem. The venison and steak pie is to die for.

We had the Christmas menu. Prawn & salmon cocktail starter for me & my husband had mushroom cheese fondue. We both had the roast turkey. The food was absolutely delicious & huge portions & lovely selection of veg. We ordered a side of pigs in blankets & cauliflower cheese to share. Highly recommended. Will definitely return. We couldn’t manage the 3rd course as the portions were so big but would have loved to have sampled a dessert. Danielle our server was lovely and personable & friendly & provided excellent service .

Our book club have again held our Christmas get together at the White Horse. We all agree it is suburb. Food was great and staff were friendly and attentive from Sam on the bar to Tailor who served us.They always accommodate our needs and make us feel welcome. I feel sure we’ll be back.

The White Horse is a pub with character. The food is very good but expensive.

Perfect way to end the working day, having a drink by an open fire, when there has been snow and only 2 degrees temperature outside! Lovely friendly atmosphere and excellent service by Danielle & Kim. Highly recommend and will be back again soon.

Impromptu visit for dinner. Food was great and customer service from Josh and Jess was amazing. Felt comfortable asking Josh for alterations to the menu to accommodate my dietary requirements and Jess went out of her way to confirm my online Christmas booking. Definitely will visit more often as the staff and venue are equally warm and welcoming.

Harry absolutely made our meal. He was lovely and chatty and really made sure we had everything we needed for the evening. Drinks never ran empty and everything we needed he provided. Completely recommend Harry to serve you. Go Harry !!!!!!

Staff were really nice, polite, friendly and helped make the night perfect. The food was amazing.... prawn cocktail and the pate starters were so beautifully presented and tasted amazing. 10oz steak was cooked perfect, while the fish n chips was the best outside of a seaside resort.

The restaurant was extremely busy but Danielle kindly seated us and was very efficient and friendly. The salad was a decent healthier option and nice to see mini puddings were available.

Food was superb cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the lamb 👍 Service was great Danielle looked after us. Made sure the food was to our liking. Helped with the wife's allergy requirements. Kept us in drinks throughout our meal. Only issue is the toilet. I know it's nearly Halloween but there is no need for cobwebs everywhere. The radiator also has more rust then paint on it. It didn't detract from our night but should be sorted as will keep others away.

Visited for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago, the place seemed really short staffed and we were a party of 9 they didn’t seem able to cope. Extremely long wait between courses and pudding came 29 minutes after coffee and 1 pudding was missed and arrived too late 30 minutes late! Food was ok nothing to rave about and extremely poor for vegetarians! This was our second recent visit first one the veggie amongst us asked for a meatless meal and an extra Yorkshire pudding which failed to arrive this time opted for the wellington which was mediocre at best. Not a cheap meal to be honest so you would at least expect good food potatoes were rock hard ! Give you 2 chances you don’t get a third!

What a disappointment, good welcome and served promptly to drinks. Then it fell apart. 2 prawn cocktail starters were extremely disappointing, prawns on loads of lettuce covered with tomatoes?? and toasted bread. The mains were a let down - 2 had sea bass which was overcooked and the fish & chips was all batter with a small dried up piece of fish. Lasagne was ok a bit overcooked. No one asked if meals were ok. We have eaten here many times over the years but this was a complete let down. We always look for the positive when eating out but there wasn't a positive tonight. We won't be back.

Came here for an evening meal with my family. We had a lovely warm welcome and were served by Katie. She was happy, smiley and nothing was too much for her. She went above and beyond and made our evening so good. Highly recommend coming here and also the Camembert fritters were delicious.

Simone looked after the 5 of us (mom, dad and 3 grown up children) and she was wonderful. I wish all staff were like Simone everywhere else. She was so helpful and natural, nothing was too much trouble for her.

The waitress was really lovely, very efficient and helpful, and was slick at her job . However it was a Very busy day, so the food was slow to come to the table. Food was excellent! Nice place to get together with family

We visited on a Saturday at 7pm the pub was busy but not overcrowded We were promptly seated by our waitress Danielle, who I have to say was amazing, she was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble!! Me and my mum had steak and ale pie with Spring onion mash and roasted veg, it was amazing!!! The steak cooked perfectly and the filo pastry too was so good!!! My daughter had lasagne and she said it was very good, my son had the children’s chicken nuggets which he gobbled down super quick so I’m assuming he approved It was my sons 9th birthday and Danielle was kind enough to bring out his dessert with a candle in and sing happy birthday to him She spent time asking him about his birthday and what he was doing to celebrate, again such a lovely personal touch The rose wine (Zinfandel) was one of the best I’ve had And the sorbet for dessert is delicious especially the coconut milk flavour I would definitely come back here if we are in the area again If I could give 10 stars I would Do not hesitate to visit!!!

Visited The White Horse at lunch time today along with my mother and sister, to celebrate my mother's 88th Birthday. There is ample free parking without the hassle of entering number plate etc. The atmosphere is friendly country pub vibe. Despite it being a Tuesday lunch time it was pretty busy. We had not prebooked, but the man that greeted us was friendly and happily found us a table. We were served by a friendly and attentive waitress Dawnie P. Despite the fact she was extremely busy she did not rush us and was happy and cheerful throughout. The food was very good with generous servings. We had a very enjoyable visit and will definitely visit again.

Popped in and they were most accommodating as the kitchen was closing but we had the 6 bar snacks like a tapas and wow .... For £20 we were both full up and really enjoyed the food. Excellent value and really nice food
