Had a really good time celebrating my Dad’s birthday at the white horse. Thank you to Danielle and Kim for making it extra special! Both were fantastic, especially when ordering for my Mum who is Gluten free!

Tailor was attentive and very welcoming, really enjoyable experience thank you!!

What a beautiful recently refurbished pub. The service was amazing and incredibly attentive - as soon as I wanted something the waitress was there to ask! The food was superb from Sarah and the team. I was dining as part of a large group and everyone was satisfied with the quality of their meals. My new go to place - I'll definitely be back soon.

Dawnie and Gemma were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and the lunch deal was perfect. It was so filling we couldn't manage pud! We will just have to go back, the hardship is real !

What a lovely place. The food was exceptional and Tailor, our waitress was so lovely. It was my Mom's 76th birthday and Tailor turned my Mom's desert into a birthday treat, spelling out "Happy Birthday." What a lovely thing to do. We will definitely be returning to this excellent restaurant.

We didn't have food, just drinks. £6.05 for a Peroni and £5.85 for Madri is crazy. Service: Team appeared happy and were friendly.

Wed 26th Feb at 6pm I ordered beef borguiunon..wasn't pleased with it at all took most of it home for the dog..it was a blade of beef with a little sauce..fatty and not appealing at all...also we left our waitress a tip of £5 and she never even said thank you...not the quality and service I am looking for!

Lunch Wed 26th Feb. Refurb astonishing, and new menu even more so. Not your average pub lunch anymore, and the way the food is served and displayed all adds to the experience. They need more staff, Dawn and Gemma were so efficient, and friendly, couldn’t fault them. But Vintage Inns get them more help. Will definitely return.

Lovely Inn which has recently had a refurbishment. You are made to feel welcome from the start until you leave. Dawn & Gemma looked after us and made sure everything was alright and we had everything we wanted.

Lovely evening just spent at the white horse, food is and always has been beautiful never had a bad meal here. Harry served us this evening and he was beyond helpful worth his weight in gold even if he did upset me by saying you had no pavlova 🤣🤣. Would highly recommend.

Great service, food was freshly cooked. Portion size for the roast was very good and then had fresh green veg to accompany. Very hot and well cooked not solid abd not over cooked

We enjoyed a drink at the bar before being seated. While the service was efficient, our waitress didn’t introduce herself, which made the experience feel a little impersonal. We had hoped to start with the mixed olives, but unfortunately, they had run out. For mains, I ordered the skewered garlic king prawns with pineapple and mango slaw, accompanied by triple-cooked chips. My partner chose the Moroccan-spiced chicken breast with feta salad and a toasted tortilla. Unfortunately, the prawns were quite dry, and I couldn’t detect any garlic flavor. The chicken, though well-seasoned, was overcooked and tough. However, the sides—the slaw, feta salad, and chips—were all fresh and flavorful. When we finished eating, our waitress simply asked if we were done, without checking whether we had enjoyed our meal. As a result, we didn’t mention the issues with the prawns and chicken. Despite some disappointment with the main dishes, the overall experience was pleasant.

Visited the newly refurbished White Horse this evening, loved the new look! Had the ribeye steak, which was cooked to perfection! And Thank you to Danielle who looked after us.. We will be back!

Visited on Valentines Friday, a limited menu due to issues beyond their control, however still plenty to choose from , food was lovely came out fairly quickly, nice and hot . Danielle was our server , who was faultless with her service, happy and bubbly always coming to check if we were ok for drinks. Cannot fault this lovely pub , the refurbishment looks amazing !

Took an age for our food to come there was around 5 other tables and each table was having the same issue, I ordered the brisket sandwich and although it was tasty it cost £12.50 and honestly looked like a kids meal the sandwich was so small, partner had a pizza and it was okay we are 50/50 if we will be returning. Although as stated food took an age to come out the service was friendly and did look after us.

Really enjoyed our evening and Danielle our waitress was excellent. Only didn’t get 5 stars because service was slightly slow but otherwise had a great evening.

Went for Sunday lunch, food was excellent, hot and plentiful. Simone our waitress was very pleasant as were the rest of the staff. Got the impression that they all actually care which is very refreshing. Will be returning.

Went there for the first time Saturday night since the refurb and was delighted to find it features a comprehensive classic and contemporary on menu of food to try , where we could sit back and relax in surroundings with aspirational touches that feels like home, a place where you can feel welcome . Enjoyed it very much well done to Josh and the team who made us feel so welcome

Went for the first time since it refurbished and was pleasantly surprised. It had the feel of an unpretentious local pub but the food was excellent, as was the service - wide menu choice, good portions, well presented and perfectly cooked - no hint of a microwave!! The staff were fantastic.. nothing was too much trouble for them thank you Katie and the rest of the staff

Food was spot on, staff really friendly, new decor looks really nice. Josh, Taylor & Dean all checked that everything was ok and made us feel welcome.

Visited again after reopening and what a difference! The place looks gorgeous inside and out! Food was delicious, service from Danielle was great! She was very pleasant and attentive. There was also a tall dark haired male attending tables who was very pleasant too, picked up my coat which was very thoughtful. Overall fantastic experience we will be back very soon! :P

Unfortunately we went on a bad day whereby there was a problem in the kitchen which meant that about 80% of the menu was unavailable. We ended up having pizza which was nice enough but not what we would have ordered had the full menu been available. Having said that, the staff were very apologetic regarding the situation and once we had found a table in the bar, Danielle was very attentive and regularly checked on us and if we needed more drinks.

First time back since the refurbishment, and it has really brightened the place up, but has also kept all the original cozy charm from before. The Ribeye steak was a perfect 10/10, and our server (The legend that is Gemma Burman) was and has always been wonderful and an absolute delight.

One of our favourites, great beer selection, lovely pub and a great place to unwind. Josh is a fab server and always gets us with a smile

What a brilliant find. My friend and I live quite a distance from each other and this little gem is nearly halfway in between. It’s just had a refurb and is beautiful. A gorgeous log fire and comfy seats welcomed us. The staff were all lovely and friendly. A special mention to Josh (Mr Archer). He welcomed me in like an old friend and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had everything we needed. A credit to the restaurant for sure. The good was gorgeous and it all looked home made. The choice of wine was fabulous too. We’ll definitely be back and I would travel the 30 minutes it took me to get there to try their Sunday lunch. You certainly won’t regret going if you’re thinking about it. Oh and they’re massively dog friendly. Absolute bonus!
