Came for the Friday grill night. No rib eye so we all had fillet steaks. The meat itself was great really tender but all of our steaks came overcooked. I asked for medium rare & there was only abit of pink in the middle. Everyone’s medium-well were all well done. We didn’t mention it on the check back as you can’t reverse an overcooked steak and didn’t want them to waste more meat on cooking all 4 again. But the steak itself was of good quality. The chips were 12/10 amazing. Cheesy Garlic bread 👏🏻 onion rings were delicioussss. The blue cheese sauce was good but we all agreed the pepper sauce wasn’t peppery enough it was quite bland and watery. Needs more cream & flavour. My sticky toffee pudding & custard was really good plenty of toffee sauce 😍 great honeycomb cheesecake but the Eton mess Sundae wasn’t good. Frozen fruit, hardly any meringue, thick cream or ice cream it was just swimming in sauce from the frozen fruit. Definitely needs fresh fruit & a proper strawberry sauce. We’ll 1000% be back, just hope the steaks aren’t overcooked next time! Lovely place xxx

We have just returned from having delicious food at The Millers Arms. I consider myself an expert at criticising Steak and Ale Pie having consumed a goodly amount in my life and this was in the top two. Mushroom Stroganoff very tasty and the seafood platter was very generous. Lovely service by people with a sense of humour which always goes down well with me. Price was just over 50 quid for three of us including drinks. Not bad at all and we will retuen.

Wasn’t sure at first as we have had so many disappointments. Car park very quiet and only several people dining. Ordered two club sandwiches and chips and can only say absolutely superb. Plenty of filling, nice bread, great service. Highly recommend.

Hubby and I truly enjoyed our unexpected call in at The Miller Arms in Singleton on Friday 9th September just for a drink. Service good, friendly staff although drink a little expensive. We enjoyed the sunshine in the lovely garden where plans were afoot for the Oktober Fest as at 01/10. After browsing through the menu which sounded good we decided to book for a 12.30/1.00 Sunday lunch - I mean who can resist a thoroughly enjoyable Sunday roast? On arrival, no table booked, we could sit wherever we wanted. The place was devoid of customers albeit 1 or 2 drinking at the bar. So, no problem. We found a great table overlooking the garden and ordered our roasts at the bar. hubby lamb, me beef… Well, that is where our so-called-thoroughly-enjoyable roast went very sadly wrong! By the way, we are small eaters so we had the children’s servings. Beef, arrived smothered in ‘gloopy’ gravy (so thick and almost lumpy), which was so strong tasting that I couldn’t taste anything else. Beef tough, mash could have done being smoother and more buttery, carrot ok, shredded cabbage and leek undercooked, roast potato too hard on the outside, cauli okay. In our opinion the so called Yorkshire pudding had been cooked, frozen, defrosted, and reheated. Once again it was disgusting and hubby left it all. I took it home for my dog along with the lamb and the beef. I’d eaten the mash, part of the carrot, a little beef after scraping off the so called gravy and scooped out the inside of the roast potato. Hubby says, the lamb was tender but not being a lover of gravy, especially when it’s too thick, gloopy and way to strong in taste put him off completely. By the way, you need white crockery, not black and proper gravy needs serving in a sauce boat so diners can decide whether or not it is wanted. Hopefully the refurb will sort this great property out and I was told new menus were happening in October where the pub was being split into 2. A chef that is prepared to change and deliver decent food at a good price for the pub side, and a new chef for The Greedy Badger which will be an al a carte restaurant as I understand. I wish the owners the best but they do have to make changes. Hopefully we can return, fingers crossed. Constructive criticism is always accepted by me, I hope the owners of The Millers Arms can accept it too. GOOD LUCK.

Overall food was really tasty. My parents had the small fish and chips which was a reasonable size. The chips looked terrible when they arrived but were actually really tasty, and my dad is fussy. Husband had the beef and marrow pie, pie was really nice and tasty, though the side of mash was very small. I had the chicken spits. The chicken was cooked really well and tasted lovely. Only thing missing was a bit of salad on the plate to add a bit of freshness. Really glad that they have a full menu back on, will be back again. Staff were really helpful and friendly too.

So we went in hoping to find somewhere to stop off on a regular basis. Sat down and looked at the sticky menus sat at a sticky table. I ordered chili con Carne and my wife ordered the ploughmans. The chili was awful and had no heat. There were no kidney beans and it tasted really strange. The chips were disgusting and the rice was luke warm and clearly reheated badly. I left more than I ate. My wife chose the ploughmans. No fresh bread not a pork pie in view. Only onion pickle. So £39 plus for two meals a pint and a g&t it was over priced rubbish

Had a fabulous lunch here on a quiet Monday. Took my dog who was spoiled rotten by the staff. Had a beautifully cooked seabass and my friend opted for a steak sandwich which she said was perfect. Pub
