Enjoyed an Excellent meal with fantastic service and friendly staff, I couldn't fault anything we will definitely be visiting again

visited today for a family meal, we all enjoyed our various meals, the food was lovely and tasty, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, we were served very efficiently and the whole place was clean and tidy, highly recommend that people visit and try for themselves.

When we arrived , we was welcome by the bar man , we found a table and looked at the menu. What we ordered for the starter came out with in 10 minutes and what we had was very nice And after the waitress took our plates the mains came out with in 15 minutes. The food was probably reheated three times before being served to me. Small portions and tasteless. The chicken tasted like rubber and the salad was dry grass from the garden (it really looked like that and I was afraid to eat it). The whole restaurant looks nice, the atmosphere is also ok, but the food is terrible. I will add that we came for a birthday meal to made our day, but it turned out to be completely the opposite.

Went here tonight to catch the quiz and have a few drinks. We arrived a couple of minutes late and despite not being bothered at missing the first TWO questions we were not allowed to join in. We’re not competitive- it was only for a bit of fun- other teams were far bigger, and as a two we never expect to win, but no. So we decided to stay for a drink and listen and play along- just us. I ordered a Morretti and a 175ml white wine. £14.05!!! OMG! We went here last summer for food and drinks and it certainly wasn’t anything like that. The menu has also gone silly- we compared the sides to ember inns later where we went instead - and usually go- most were almost double the cost of ember! The bathrooms/drains need a plumber if not a controlled explosion/biohazard decontamination - they look spotless, but the smell suggests something decidedly iffy if brewing underground.

This place is second to none! Unbelievably friendly staff that make you feel at ease the minute you step through the door! The food was a 10/10! I highly recommend anyone to come here and experience a wonderful atmosphere with wonderful food.

Lovely welcome from Carol, she was so genuinely friendly and attentive. She made sure we were happy with everything. When we ordered at the bar, Jack was also very welcoming and helpful. The food, service and value was amazing. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be going again. The atmosphere was also amazing. A big thank you to the Bell and Bottle for a lovely time.

Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious Fresh veg and lovely gravy Was one of the best roasts I’ve had out in a while 😄 My 7 yr old had fish fingers and he enjoyed them too 👍 Service was great too 👍

Great afternoon/night, atmosphere, food and service all good.

I would highly recommend this restaurant, the staff are very friendly and the food is amazing!! We had my nieces birthday meal here and all the food arrived quickly and altogether. With a few more people joining us than stated on the booking, the staff were quick to put together and prepare another table for us all. Again, i would highly recommend this restaurant and i will definitely be returning in the future!

Visited here last minute with 13 people! Staff were very accommodating, the food was beautiful and the tables were spotless! Will definitely be visiting again!

The food is ok but I would say that I have been to other places which offer à better selection of lunch time dishes for similar money. The full meal option deal with a drink seems a better choice

Just currently sat here after having had the Sunday roast chicken. Wasn't asked at any point if everything was OK. The roast potatoes were very hard & chicken over cooked. Over all tge meal was 'well done' & dry. I wish l had taken a picture of it now. It is 6.30pm & finished. I feel the Sunday Roast should have a cut off time & not be left to go dry & hard & still served. We ate some of it cos both of us starving & hadn't eaten since 11am. The guy who served & collected os quick on his feet so Gome with the plates in a blink & l expected him to ask if everything was OK & l would have given him some feedback. Disappointing.😒

Lovely local pub, good food offers and great staff. Dale (the manger) and his family are doing a great job in making the Bell & Bottle the friendliest pub in the area. Encouraging a darts and pool team, improving entertainment nights and supporting the very popular Sunday quiz. Nothing is too much trouble if you ask, all the staff are wanting to make improvements and make it the best for the local community and wider visitors. Most afternoons are popular for tea time dinners and weekend meals. Well done Dale and team, you've made such a 'breath of fresh air' in only a few months and look forward to your summer plans! Enjoyed a lovely meal with a family of five, we all had something different from the menu and really enjoyed everything. The super friendly staff and the pleasent surroundings along with the delicious food made it a memorable experience. Have visited Bell & Bottle on many other occasions and will definitely be returning.

Visited here for boxing day, even though it was a busy day for the staff, it was well ran and staff were lovely. Food arrived quick and hot with plenty of choices on the menu especially with a vegetarian being in the family. The place was clean and tidy with a family atmosphere. We are regulars here and will continue to visit especially with new management.

We went for Christmas day dinner, arrived just in time for our time slot at 13:45 and was quickly seated. We where told someone will be over shortly to take our drink orders, our starters arrived quiet soon I had the tomato soup which was really nice but didn't give out enough butter for the rolls, still no one came to take our drink orders until after we finished them. 30mins we finally got our drinks. The main course arrived which was tge turkey with all the trimmings not a big veg eater but ate what I could. Would have loved more gravy. Finally the dessert came which was Christmas pudding could have had more it was that nice. Only Downside it would have been easier going to the bar and buying drinks rather than waiting for staff to take our order. Staff where very friendly and fair play to them on Christmas day

Went in for some food, Had a lovely time. The staff are all very friendly and professional. Enjoyed our meal and would recommend for anyone who want a warm friendly place for a bite to eat or just for a few drinks!

Food 10/10! Staff so lovely and accommodating!

The service at the Bell and Bottle is brilliant the team are always friendly and happy to help, food is your average pub grub but very nice and tasty. Well done to the team at the Bell and Bottle for starting to introduce live music, it's creating a lovely environment.

The place was nearly empty in the eating area it was really cold moved tables to be near a radiator but it must of been set on low we had to put our coats back on waited ten minutes no staff in sight went to the bar to order food it arrived 15 mins later Mine was surf and turf 4 scampi was suppose to be a 8oz sirloin medium rare steak but it wasn’t sirloin and it must of weighed about 5oz and I’m being generous saying that a hand full of chips and a spoon full of of peas nothing else no tarts sauce no horseradish nothing the other was a beef burger on a bun with chips nothing else on the plate I couldn’t eat my steak it was full of gristle the manager finally arrived saying he can’t do anything about it but tell the supplier about the steak he said I can offer you 1 desert as compensation …..the presentation of the food was below basic skill verges on disgusting no wonder the place was empty on a Saturday night at 7.45pm……..about 3 months ago we had another meal there and when we were leaving we reported slug slime under the seats at various tables this place really needs to be shut down deep cleaned and get a decent staff and cook

Had a Christmas meal tonight the food was cold and the presentation was poor, The staff were rude and unpleasant unable to eat the main meal as cold. The worst Christmas meal I have ever had.

We, as a party of 5 come here, as ex colleagues to meet every 3 months. Tried out the QR code for the first time, we had great fun. Disappointed that the mac and cheese wasn't on. All the other dishes were thoroughly enjoyed. Lots of extras to add on, when ordering but disappointed that I couldn't ask for extra custard. All told, we had an excellent night.

We had a pre booking for Christmas Dinner, We gave our details and said that we was here for the Christmas lunch, we was seated at a table but then we had to be moved as they had sat us at the wrong table. The pub was rather empty and quiet and only two members staff that we could see. Our meal came and it looked nice but upon eating it some of the veg was rather firm, the roast potatoes tasted like they had been fried in the chip fryer and the overall meal wasn't that hot and was rather bland. We asked if we could have hot drinks to have with our lunch and for them to be added to our bill but we was told to go to the bar and order them , the hot drinks machine wasn’t working and it took forever to sort out. Our desserts came and 1 dessert was missing the Icecream , there was no staff around to speak to so we just ate it , When a member of staff did come to our table they didn’t seem that concerned and said ( we get mixed up with the menu sometimes !! ) and she proceeded to stack our cups and saucers up to take away without even having asked us if we had finished !! We feel rather disappointed with the whole experience especially with it being a Christmas meal, Customer service and a little attention to detail goes a long way in ensuring you get a good review and that customers returns, On this occasion I would not recommend the Christmas Lunch

Week what can I say, Dale and the team at the bell and bottle are simply amazing. Service is exceptional food is very good. We visit the pub a lot as it is our local and my family are always made to feel welcome especially my 2 yr old who is great like a little king thank you so so much

We pre booked Christmas lunch , and was looking forward to it . firstly we was seated at the wrong table and had to be moved, The pub was rather quiet and empty and we only saw two staff on duty. She said i can bring it now for you - errr NO , we have already finished eating and she then started stacking our coffee cups up to take away without even asking if we had finished !! Its not the best meal I have had and was rather disappointed with the whole experience !! Good customer service and a little attention to detail to make your customers feel welcome ensures a positive review and have customers returning .

We booked here for the first time in years as we liked the look of the festive menu and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food, value and service were all spot on and added up to a really memorable experience on what was a dreadful day outside. We hope to be back sooner next time.

A great turnaround for the Bell & Bottle, every Credit to the new manager and his team. A very good chef, enjoyed every meal we have had at the Bell on the last 3 or 4 occasions. Very polite waitress ( Managers Mum) who was certainly on top of things, ) 👍

We love the Bell and Bottle and the service recently has been excellent with fab food and a great atmosphere. Can't wait to have my son's christening there in the function room, they were incredibly helpful with the planning!

Friendly staff that are very helpful. Accommodated our request due to my daughters birthday. Toilets were clean and entire pub was clean. Loved the idea of having games you can use at the table to pass time and keep conversations going.

Great food that was served very quickly, all the staff were fantastic but you had to go to the bar to order your food and drinks. You could order at the table off your phone but I couldn't be bothered.

On hearing of new owners we thought that we would give the Bell & Bottle a try and we were pleasantly surprised with the decor of the place and the very friendly greeting from the staff Carol & Jack ( A big change from our last visit ). The food was delicious, presented well, very tasty, plentiful and of a high quality. We will be definitely returning to try the rest of the menu and look forward to their Christmas meals. Brilliant place to meet with friends. Function room is free to hire which is brilliant for us to play our weekly dungeons and dragons game.

Spur of the moment visit with family. A Halloween event was on and we were informed that there may be a bit of a delay on food due to this. Decided to stay anyway and I’m glad we did. Lots of variety on the menu. The meals we ordered were lovely and piping hot. Didn’t feel much of a delay either. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and we will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend.

Great place great food excellent service

Really enjoyed steak n ale pie, lots of meat in the pie. Chips could be better as a typical frozen chip. Lasagne delicious, tasted very homemade. 30% off main meals so excellent value.

Great food at reasonable prices

Do not bother going here. Slow service and best of all not all food on menu in stock. they have offered us 30% off and they couldn`t get us back. Advice, check out Joseph Holt pubs, fantastic. try waters edge at Lytham st Annes maybe the staff from the Bell and Bottle should go and see how far behind the curve they really are..shame for a marsden inn.

We’ve been going to this Pub for a few years now and noticed a decline in service and quality but after todays visit, I learned this pub is under new management and wow! They’ve turned the place around. Great food, piping hot and brought out very quickly. The manager introduced himself and took time to sit with us and inform us of his plans for the place. We’ll definitely be back and look forward to the changes the manager is bringing in.

Really nice place, cozy and welcoming. All the staff were really helpful and attentive. Food was great, cost was reasonable, can't fault it.

Amazing friendly and spot on food

Quick bite to eat, pleasant staff, clean premises, service efficient...The best mac & cheese I've eaten in any pub/restaurant my hubby had mixed grill which was excellent, overall value for money. Would recommend 👌

This pub has been through several managers since I moved to the area some 5 years ago. However, none have had a greater impact than Dale and his family. His positive attitude towards customer service has clearly invigored all the staff to deliver a first-rate service from meals at the table and drinks from the bar. His efforts to bring in more customers by hosting events such as quizzes, free pool and even live music hasn't gone unnoticed. I thoroughly recommend a visit to the Bell and Bottle to experience for yourself what Dale and his team are delivering to customers whether it be a family meal out or a watering stop for Sunday dog walkers, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

So nice to see our local busy once more. Good food,friendly and attentive staff, really hope it continues. Great to have a pub and restaurant offering this with various entertainment nights too. Dale you're doing a great job.

Lovely polite staff, nothing was too much to ask for. Excellent food, excellent service, great waiting times, great prices. Very clean, very welcoming. Great selection of activities for children have been introduced. Noticed adverts for a good range of events, good parking facilities.
