The Mill Tavern in Harrogate

Don’t judge a book by its cover. We had a great dinner with very friendly service. Great atmosphere for a Wednesday night. We are staying @ The Lido, so it’s a stones throw for us, but worth travelling further for a meal that’s great value. Well done to all the team from the kitchen to the bar staff.

Fabulous manager, fantastic staff .... been on site 5 hrs and the mill tavern is now the very best it's ever been in that time! Brilliant atmosphere and some great nights to be had!!

weekend here was great, we ate in the Restaurant Thursday buy one pizza get one free! They was brilliant, Friday we had steak and really good, then we had a Sunday lunch omg you deffo get your money’s worth. The bar was equally as good Happy hour 5-7 on Wednesday and Thursday then quiz night Karaoke night and a live singer Saturday loads of entertainment even bingo Sunday afternoon but that’s not for me. The bar staff are pleasant and helpful with a great selection of drinks and snacks good weekend overall.

Recently changed hands , very busy and welcoming . First time there and looking forward to going again. Very spacious , disabled friendly and a easy car park.

Good luck to anyone trying to get food here,in the last two years it’s had three different people trying to make a go of it About a year ago the then incumbents almost succeeded but personal matters killed their venture,it was closed for a few months for a ‘refurbishment’ it now looks like a Happy Eater from the seventies,it reopened with new tenants and an eye watering hike in drinks prices and unfortunately the food menu also took a new route with lobster and oysters on offer,doesn’t really go down well on a caravan park! These tenants have now moved on and allegedly is now being run by the park’s owner,things can only improve- watch this space

Arrived to be told No food available even as advertised also told no sky sports even as advertised no card payments cash only or bank transfer no cash machine available in the close proximity basically no site facilities except small shop & laundrette would not return

This venue does not currently serve food. We attended for the last few evening and found it very welcoming but quiet. Tonight (Thursday) was the pub quiz. I would 100% recommend this. The lady that did the quiz was lovely and the quiz itself was very varied and had something for everyone. Family and Dog Friendly.

This place STINKS! The food was mouldy and tasted awful. The chef (I believe to be named Nelson) was very rude and I overheard him speaking badly about my family and food choices. I would NOT recommend dining here or ever going at all. 0/10 from the Clam family!

So we go to York show every year, this little place is located on Lido Leisure Park. The place doesn't serve food. Not sure I'd they plan on doing it in future. Quiz nights Thurs, fantastic night. Go to that. Pint of Carling £4 pint of Coors £4.20, Madri is a fiver. no food available at all any day. This might change in future. But as of July 2023 no food. Its nice clean place the bar women is very accommodating and polite, she sounded foreign but she was nice. The Carling tasted nice aswell has a few TVs and a pool table, no fruit machines. Will be back next year. Apparently on Fridays they're live music, bingo Sundays. Not sure. My stay only Tue to Fri. Fantastic place though.

Enjoyed a lovely family meal from the Friday night menu. Ordered the spicy salmon and the sea bass, which were both delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive Looking forward to returning. Highly recommended.

Booked in for Tapas night , didn’t know what to expect, but got to say the food was outstanding !!! . Be back again soon. Great feel about the place

Fantastic new managers really welcoming and not just for the Lido Park, for anyone to enjoy a real treat! Great selection of bears and an amazing food menu with some great Portuguese cuisine x

We both chose the roast beef. We were not disappointed, the beef was so tender, Yorkshire pudding perfect. Would definitely recommend.

Not very welcoming and when we visited had stopped serving food by 4pm on a Saturday.

Arrived at lido knaresborough where Mill travel is on Friday hrs was ment to b 12 pm at 1.30 it was closed .tryed Saturday evening food ment 2b served until 8pm we Arrived at 7.15pm they had stop food at 7pm so it was a ready meal from the co op ! ,not impressed by the mill at all

Disappointed! Read good reviews but the hrs of opening and food service different to the information we had been given at the reception of the Leisure complex and we struggled where 2 go 4 food

Stayed for the week and spent quite a few nights in there. Food lovely and the staff go above and beyond really welcoming. Would definitely recommend A***

Friendly place, with really good food (lovely chips with skins on) pool tables a good selection of beers, lagers and Guinness (my fav)was bingo last night, daughter won and even got the round in....so all in all a good evening was had....Will certainly pop over there soon....🤓👍

Arrived at 7.50pm, stood at bar for 10 minutes, tried to order food that is served until 8pm. Advised that they can’t do food as they’re running a quiz and can’t do both. First time we’ve tried to eat here in 3 years and won’t be trying again!

Food served until 8pm… stood at bar from 7.50pm for 20 minutes, tried to order food only to be told they stop serving at 8pm and because they’ve got a quiz going on can’t do both!!! It’s now 8.17 pm and the quiz is yet to start! Couldn’t care less attitude from bar staff. Haven’t been to the Mill Tavern for 3 years and won’t be going back neither!

Amazing and friendly staff. Beautifully cooked food and reasonably priced. Bin there a thew times now. I would definitely suggest making a stop on your travels.

Was there,9/4/22,checked the meal times for Sunday lunch,it clearly said 12 until 4 on the chalk board,outside the kitchen. Next day we arrived, at 4 minutes past 3,after a 2 hour walk,as we walked in they were putting meals on the tables, we were then told, meals finished at 3pm,even though the board still showed 12 until 4 . Thanks for nothing,obviously a mix up somewhere, but 4 mins,come on.Not impressed and not going back.Un professional and un impresse.1 star,we were allowed to purchase a drink.

We pop into the Mill Tavern often for food, and we have never been disappointed. Diane makes good wholesome food, that tastes delicious. All the staff are always polite and accommodating and can’t do enough for you.

Pop in for a few drinks. But do not order food here. We made this error tonight and wondered why we were the only ones ordering food..it soon became obvious why when it arrived, really really bad, a family of four and all of us basically left most of it, it was that bad. Please do not eat here.

Food was really good, I had a sirloin steak and was cooked really well. Would definitely recommend 👍

We visit the Mill Tavern most weeks (in the summer a couple of times a week) - we live in Knaresborough & class this as our local. Lovely outdoor seating area when the weather is kind, comfy little adults only lounge when you've not got the kids with you and a large restaurant area with dance floor, pool tables etc. It's just a nice place to sit & have a drink or one of Diane's fabulous curries on a Friday evening. We've had some great food there and are going in the morning to sample the Saturday Breakfast Buffet as a birthday treat for my mum - looking forward to it! Everyone is so friendly on the park and we often sit & chat with the park residents. A great team at the Mill Tavern & a pleasure to visit :)

Good beer....however, really felt ostracised due to my pup being a little vocal. Was asked to move into a seperate segregated area which other dogs and owners would be going. Due to a fellow customer complaining about my 17 week old pups excitement. After I paid for my meal it was evident that no other dog owners were being ushered into this room. I thought this was a dog friendly place. However this incident has made me feel disappointed. Will not be going again. Was looking to purchase a static home here. This has changed my mind!!

Love this place, it has everything. Friendly staff, good food, calm atmosphere & clean. Inside is spacious and easy to maintain distance & the beer garden has had work to make it pleasant & comfortable. This place used to be the opposite of this years ago but the current manager has turned it around. I now use it regularly. Best bar in Knaresborough at the moment.

Steak was good for the price , cant fault the service however I ordered a pulled pork burger which looked like an albino on steroids eg it was a white bap with a dry burger with a small amount of pulled pork topping , lacked flavor , chips were anemic , other parties food was adequate nothing special , if your paying ten pounds a head then you expect a decent meal , shame as service out did the food..h

This was one of the best carveries I have had recently. 3 meats, plenty of choices of veg, scrummy roast potatoes and all hot . Very reasonable priced and a real bargain for children only £1.50 Puddings looked good too but too full. Will def return and also spread the word.

I love this place the staff are all lovely and I have had Sunday lunch three times now which is served from 12 till 3. and every time I can’t believe how amazing it is. All freshly prepared and only £6-95. It’s very child friendly too with a play corner. I would recommend it highly.

Popped into this hidden little gem with my partner and my two children, we were on a day out down by the river and the Mrs fancied an alcoholic beverage so we popped into the club house (mill tavern).
