Friendly, helpful staff and delicious food delivered very quickly. After eating I ordered a coffee which didn't arrive and after about 20 minutes we decided to get the bill and go. I mentioned the coffee that never was and the staff could not have been more apologetic!! The manager offered me a free take away as compensation and the waitress who'd taken my original order came out especially to apologise and explain the mix up. I've been I other places in Cornwall where you just get a begrudging apology and a shrug. This was impressive. The coffee was excellent and worth having! We'll definitely go back. Highly recommend this little cafe in a lovely nursery that just sells stuff for the garden!!

Very expensive and unsure why as the food was average at best. Nursery very well stocked but again, very expensive. The worst part was the very rude and condescending little woman in the shop.

Orderd fruit scone and cheese scone when they arrived they were the thinnest scones we have ever seen at £3.75 and £3.95 each trying to cut them in half my fruit scone broke into 3 pieces my wife’s cheese scone was so thin each half had to be folded in half to eat it , they were HOT not warm butter disappeared in a second obviously had been microwaved to death , a hot scone normally means a stale scone , if you must serve hot scones they should always be heated in a oven and warmed not nuked to death , as we paid at the till my wife complained and was told we should have asked for them cold ( we weren’t given the choice when we ordered them ) you will be aware of recent other complaints regarding microwaved scones that has obviously not been addressed we will also not be returning

Ordered a cheese scone and coffee which was quite expensive, the scone had been microwaved and was awful, scone texture had disappeared and was claggy, do I left it. I was shocked to see a staff member with long red hair, come out from behind the counter, stand on the slope between the two seating areas, take their hair down, comb their hair with their fingers, then put it back up again and then proceeded to go back to the counter and there task of re-arranging things without washing their hands, not very hygienic! Garden centre is good so will just visit there in future.

My friends meet every several times a year at the Mill Cafe over the pass 5 years. When we went last week we have to agree that it was a disappointing as no longer value for money. You now do not give a salad garnish with sandwiches and specials. The salad that came with the pasty was more like a salad garnish which cost £3.50. The open sandwich that would of come before with a good size slice of baker tom's bread was a thin pre-sliced and the equivalate of about a half a normal sandwich at the cost of £9.95. We understand the rising food prices but feel the standard has slipped to that you could get from a local supermarket/bakery where expectations are not as high. We based this on our previous visits where we have left fully satisfied. My friends and I have always looked upon these visits as a treat so this was a disappointing experience.

Same sort of scenario as the last visit, arrived at cafe at 15:38 to be told only tea and hot choc available as they were cleaning the coffee machine, and some cakes ! Had a cup of tea and watched numerous people turn up and walk off, due to the closed sign being up, before the advertised closing time ! If you advertise as being open until 4pm then stay open until then and clear up afterwards !

Called for a late lunch before stocking up on compost from the Plant Nursery and various plants. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who showed us to a free, freshly cleaned table. It was very busy. We both had paninis with salad and coleslaw which were excellent and very fresh. Service was brisk and the whole team appeared to work well together, friendly and professional. The area felt covid safe and very clean. Pot of tea, excellent. Well done, will definitely call in again.

Visited just after going to Bodmin jail as it wasn’t too far away, easily accessible without having to find parking in Bodmin - on the site of a garden centre. Staff were lovely. Had scones that were very nice. The child’s lunchbox on a plate was ok. My eldest had a cheese and ham toasted but found the ham too thick and a bit chewy with not enough cheese. Hot chocolate was good. Reasonable value and quick service, though it wasn’t too busy as it was pouring!

We were on our way to St Mawes for our last mini staycation of this summer. Having anticipated our arrival in the Truro area at about lunchtime, we planned this stop at the Bodmin Plant and Herb Nursery, to have a snack lunch at their highly regarded café. We sat on a table in the café’s outdoor dining area, under a canvas roofed and mostly open-sided structure. We sat on in a sunny spot and the sun was extremely hot, I had to make a couple of seating adjustments to maintain my comfort. My partner ordered a Cornish Brie and Cranberry Sandwich, and I had a Home-roasted Ham and Cheddar Cheese Panini. Both came with a good side salad, some very good coleslaw and few crisps. The sandwiches were much enjoyed with a couple of cups of reasonably good and strong tea each from the large pot provided. Service was excellent and very efficient with the staff clearing and wiping down tables promptly; so important to give a good impression for arriving customers, and also to help keep flies, and other more threatening bugs, away. It was a pleasant stop, and we took the opportunity to have a half-hour walk around the very large and impressive garden centre, which was being extended with the construction of another building.

Visited and had coffee before looking round nursery and buying plants. Went back to café, very quiet at that time - almost more people behind the counter than customers. No-one in queue behind us. Asked for breakfast menu - sorry, we have just finished serving breakfast, finishes at 11.30. It was now 11.32, I looked at the clock on the wall, and said it is only just gone 11.30 - no, breakfast is finished. But lunch does not start until 12.00 so what happens in between those times? - well, we'll serve you lunch a bit early (in the tone of someone doing me a huge and confidential favour). So, you serve lunch 28 minutes early but can't serve breakfast 2 minutes late? - NO. What a farce, only wanted a bacon roll, what is the big deal? Had a cheese scone in the end, which was dry and full of seeds of some kind - weird. But at least they served it, and it wasn't even tea time …. Now, had they been busy, or short of staff, I would get that, but when I am the only one at the counter, being looked at by about 5 people standing behind it doing nothing very much, it does not scream good customer service. Will definitely not bother again, but go somewhere where they know that the first rule of retail is - the customer is king.

I cannot believe that I haven’t taken a turn into the Bodmin Garden Centre, and The Mill Cafe to boot! Quiet, secluded outside bistro style tables and chairs, inside rustic farmhouse tea room, with fire burner, into a vaulted, open, more uniform restaurant room, but clean lines and cool colours, attractive art, all blended together with wheelchair friendly slopes, access all areas! It’s clear from the start, the cakes, scones, savouries and salads, are freshly baked and prepared, traditional meets Cosmopolitan styles, wide range of teas, coffees and soft drinks, and then there’s the menu itself. They advertise ‘light lunch’ but portions are generous.

A great place for a coffee and chocolate brownie, or a light lunch, whilst visiting Bodmin Nursery (Five acres of 'proper' nursery). A wood burning stove in the corner, comfy seating, suitable for families, and a delicious range of cake and buns, light snacks, home-made soups etc. The aroma as you enter just hits you, and it's irresistible!

A group of 5 of us wanted tea and cake in a garden centre and this was great for us. The service was friendly and the prices were good. There were a variety of cakes and we tried 4 different ones and we all enjoyed them from victoria sponge to carrot cake and others too.

This is a small cafe at the Bodmin Plant and Herb centre. It is delightful, we had Quiche and salad, it was lovely, the pastry was delicious. Really good coffee, and a good selection of cakes. A log fire, because the day had got a bit chilly with the rain, and very comfortable seating.

Tucked away in Bodmin Nursery, this is a lovely little café. Only open Fri-Mon, but well worth seeking out. We sat outside in the sun, lots of lovely plants in view, and well worth a look round later! Had a great cream tea, friendly efficient service.

Inside the grounds of Bodmin Plant & Herb Nursery (which does not claim to be a "garden centre" and indeed is not) you can find this small cafe, at present open only Friday through Monday until 4 pm only. Have visited only for afternoon tea, although light lunches (from Steak pie to tapas) are also served here.

The Mill Café at Bodmin Nursery is a real gem! They are only open Fri-Mon but serve the most delicious home-made lunches & cakes. We had a slice of fabulous gooey chocolate cake & a lovely cup of tea there. Its a very "country style" café with heavy wooden tables & chairs & a warming wood burner. A must place to eat if you are visiting this garden centre.

Absolutely wonderful visit. The cream tea was the best I think I’ve ever had. Warm scones, huge pot of cream and delicious jam, must be homemade. The tea was piping hot and came with an additional tea bag should you like it strong.

Great place to stop off on our walk. Cakes, drinks and ice cream all good, and with the bonus of sparrows waiting to hop onto your hand.

Absolutely amazing day spent at The Sharksfin for our daughter's wedding last Saturday. Wow! What a venue! From start to finish everything was wonderful. Great service with happy staff who were enjoying looking after us and wanted to make the day special. The canapes were gorgeous and main meal truly excellent. The Chefs worked their socks off. Would highly recommend. Thank you to Lisa and her whole team. You were fantastic! We will be back for a roast very soon 🙂!

Poor service and virtually no vegan/vegetarian options. Asked for a veggie burger which was on the menu, they didn't have any. Asked what else was vegan, they didn't know. Service was very slow and all front of house seemed uninterested and more keen to huddle round the bar chatting. One waitress was particularly rude, I wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend. Lots of much friendlier places in Falmouth.
