A hidden gem for Thai food. The atmosphere is your average local pub with a couple of regulars, however even for non pub goers if you can eat here I recommend you do it. The Thai food is unbelievable, better than the chains, at an insanely low price, it is a steal. Could not recommend enough.

If you're after a down to earth boozer packed with locals enjoying themselves then this is the place. Dog friendly, lovely Thai food, Bar staff very jovial. Decent.

Me and a few friends whent to this hotel was passing buy and wanted to go for a drink im a part of the Irish traveler community and I was refused straight away they said if I halve a drink that more of my Friends and family were going to come in and start an argument. The people of this hotel paint us all with the same brush everyone is equivalent in this world I never stayed at the hotel I just wanted to go in for a drink would not recommend what’s so ever don’t no about the rooms but the manager was absolutely down on the traveler community I wish I could give no stars on this review but there is no option.

If you enjoy Thai food go and try the currys. Friendly staff.

I have been coming here for years. I have never felt so uncomfortable with staff drinking complaining of hanging. Taking jackets off and dancing around the bar. I will not and nor will our group come back never felt so un welcome and felt intruding on a private party. The prices are high but we have always loved coming there. The staff are not professional and wish u luck won't be coming back. Will soon be closed

Yes, I took the plunge and went to the Midland Hotel karaoke night! The Midland is a pub and hotel. It's a locals hostelry and tonight was at its best with a packed bar and all and sundry taking part in the singing! A fun night and good company. Worth a visit on a Sunday night!

Rooms were excellent, location is excellent, but wasn't able to be served in the pub due to being an Irish Traveller, this is open discrimination and shouldn't be happening, awful service.

Thai food is amazing, so cheap compared to other Thai places in the area and in my opinion the best too.

This pub is very nice with a fantastic beer garden. However, it seemed very pricey to me. I asked how much a pint of Coke is and was told £2.20 which I thought was a good price. The glass that was given to me was a half pint. When I challenged this I was told that they only do half pints, so for a pint I would need to buy 2 half's (£4.40) and the problem I have is not only does that seem expensive but also, I had actually asked "how much is a pint" and was not told they don't serve it as a pint.

Excellent Thai meal and good beer.

We went here for lunch. The Thai food was just gorgeous! I would really recommend it, the price was very reasonable too. The staff were very nice and we were served within a reasonable timeframe. The place is quite spacious and tables were sufficiently distanced from each other.

Food was awesome!! Green tie curry was absolutely amazing!! Not sure I spelt it right but was well impressed!! Starter and main £10 think it's excellent value for what I eat!!!

Ok food, we ordered chicken panang, tofu pad thai, beef in garlic and pepper, crispy tofu (starter), Thai sweet and sour pork and prawn toast. Food tasted OK. I would have wanted more vegetables in each main dish.

Food was overpriced & unappetising and the place lacks any ambience unless you enjoy a Wild West atmosphere!

Food is very reasonably priced a cooked very well. Menu a bit short now due to virus, but hopefully will get back to normal soon.

Friendly and prompt service & quaint surroundings in a building that has a lot of historical value and history in hemel hempstead . I.e being the former train station for the nickey line which is still visible to the front left of the pub as it is now.

Okay prices but the landlord is a miserable sod

I will be spending all my time here from now on the watch football, good atmosphere, good food, landlord and lady polite, friendly, barstaff actually talk to you like they are happy to see you, all in all a lovely place to relax.One thing I will say is the seats are very uncomfortable after sitting down watching two games of football, to the point my bum went dead, maybe a small refurbishment is in order to bring things up to date. Also I noticed a few children running around indoors without their parents looking after them. Otherwise this review would be a 5.

I go to this pub nearly weekly with work friends and the food is always good, recently the length of time has been longer when waiting for food but very happy with service.

So sad the kitchen has closed 😣

Food only severed in the evening. There was no notice of this. Found staff very rude.

Was actually at the Full House Wetherspoons but they had run out of steak and mixed grill. We had been here before and viewed the menu so decided to give it a go. We both had steak medium rare and medium, one with chips and salad the other with chips and peas. Both steaks were cooked as ordered and very tasty, sides and chips were a good portion. Only downside was I think the chef had just turned up when I ordered so we had a slightly longer wait than expected, that said the food was good, service fine and price under £20. Overall pleasant and we both look forward to returning to try the Thai menu.

Had a couple of drinks here and looking at the menu (English pub food and Thai) will be back to sample some of the food, the menus both look good.

I love The Midland central to Town would recomend it to anyone.

I like this pub friendly community pub really friendly staff can't do enough for you they serve English food here and Thai food at excellent prices and you get good portions the beer is good they play poker here one night the week I think it's a Tuesday it's plenty of room they have a beer garden in the summer they have accommodation upstairs great little pub really the food is very good especially the Thai food and you get more than enough and has an extensive menu there's probably about 20 things on the starters alone so well worth going the food is as good as a Thai restaurant but a fraction of the price

Waste of time if you're looking to stay or eat there. I parked in the car park (Before I parked I have checked if I was eligible to park there & it had no signs of being a disabled bay). As I walked to the place (with my suitcase...first clue to the idiotic manager) this woman is laying into me saying I can't first of all park in the car park and secondly gave me incredible attitude when I asked if it was first of all a pub and secondly a hotel (this was happening in front of my 5 year old son). So I asked to see the landlord whom also was not convinced that I was a genuine customer. Aparently they have a lot of local people parking in their car park overnight (Omg it's against the law to park in a public house aparently), so hence the attitude. They lost a new customer and endless to say I left in tears. Vile manager, terrible presumption therefore very poor customer service. WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

Was very surprised to find a hotel/pub serving such good Thai food. Popped in on the whim and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. Enjoyed the Karaoke night as well. Good fun

Go there on a regular basis food is so cheap and so very tasty You get a huge plate for a fiver, there's always a choice of around five or six dishes

The tables may be sticky and the décor may be tired and dated but the Thai food that is served between 12 and 3pm more than makes up for it. The choice is good, the food is fresh and the price is reasonable.

First visit to this pub and yes it's very dated inside but was clean, the Thai food was tasty but quite spicy ( no mention of spicy on the menu) it was value for money and will visit again but in the evening as the menu is different and more variety. Staff are friendly.

Popped in for a couple of drinks with my husband before going home for dinner - we live a few minutes walk away. The food smells delicious and, I think it has an excellent hygiene rating. To be honest, I was wishing I hadn't prepared dinner in advance as I really fancied eating there. We will go back very soon. A nice, relaxed, atmosphere despite it being on a road that is quite busy in the rush hour.

If you're looking for a trendy pub, this is not the place for you. The décor is tired and needs updating. If you're looking for good food, this is the place to go. This pub sells the usual range of pub food, but its speciality is Thai food, which is very tasty and reasonably priced. You may have to wait for the food to be cooked, but they offer an excellent service whereby you tell them the time you are arriving and the food will be ready for you at that time. Great, for those with a short lunch break.
