Un hombre desvestido de bar mostrando sus partes privadas y no se detuvo. Nunca más Lo mismo para el bar se ve bien, el personal no es agradable pero no buen servicio.

Owner called the bar man and oversized see you next Tuesday (cu*t) when he smashed a glass. It seemed like a joke but then saw the bar man telling another member of staff how upset he was. The bar man himself was a real nice guy too. Very friendly and clearly good at his job. It was all good before then. I don't really want to support a business that treats their staff that way. Never seen someone treated like that openly. Shocking behaviour honestly.

The Metropole is a lively pub in High street that offer a decent well priced beer range and was one of several pubs we went to on a day trip around Gateshead. Housed in a traditional pub building with a traditional pub interior and extremely busy when we visited as it was Mad Monday and bingo and karaoke nights were lined up so this pub was heaving. When we visited we some how managed to get a seat and ordered a fruit cider from the Strongebow brewery which where very refreshing and well priced. This is a proper local boozer that won't be to everyones taste but I really enjoyed my time in here as the atmosphere was really good and I would visit here again the next time we stay in Newcastle.Very easy to find from Jackson street bus stop its across the road. (This is my first review of the Metropole). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-10.00-23.00. Friday-Saturday-10.00-00.00. Sunday-10.00-23.00. Nearest Bus Stop. Jackson Street bus stop. Nearest Metro Stop. Gateshead metro stop.

My twin brother Stephen and I walked over the wonderful and impressive Tyne Bridge over to Gateshead to hit some of the great pubs over this side of the River Tyne and one of the first pubs we visited was The Metropole. A proper locals pub ,the interior is superb, the main room is dominated by a solid wood serving bar ,a split level pub, great decor and furnishings ,tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub. We were on a Monday morning, pub was already busy with a great atmosphere, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the bar team who poured us a Strongbow dark fruit cider each, these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back and planned out the day ahead while sipping our cider's. My cider was really good, a crisp, effervescent cider that certainly cut through the thirst on a hot morning, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying an iced cold and refreshing cider. We really enjoyed our ciders in here before we moved on and for a first time visit to The Metropole Pub we were totally impressed. The Metropole Pub is easy to locate along High Street in Gateshead. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 10am till 11pm. Friday & Saturday, 10am till Midnight. Sunday, 10am till 11pm. Most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Great little no nonsense cafe with a huge menu and friendly owner, perfect for a quick bite before catching a train. It’s a little bit of a blast from the past but in a good way.

Terrible food, chose 2 tapas, pil pil and breaded mushrooms. Mushrooms were bland and nothing like pil pil Prawns. Didnt even eat the triple cooked chips, crispy grease, shocking. No Atmosphere there were loud drunk men in and the staff did nothing. Really expensive, £70 for 2 tapas, a burger and a pizza, 2 beers and a coke. Limited menu, not many vegan or veggie options, very poor. Will not be back
