Taste - good Waiting time - too long

Ordered off Uber eats today and had to wait 1hr and 30 mins for food that was cold. We rang an hour into our order and was told that the delivery driver was on the way and then rang 20 minutes later, to be told that the lady has no idea about that and she’s still packaging our food! So that original person lied which is very unprofessional. Chilli paneer was more like a curry than the typical chilli paneer you get. It resembled nothing of a true chilli paneer. Beware that you may be waiting for ages if you order of Uber eats as they use their own driver. Due to fact the food was cold, took absolutely ages to come (ordered 3 items), and more so that person lied, I will not be ordering from here again.

Ordered Malai Kofta which was not what it says They were potato balls lathered with tomato gravy which is the same gravy for chicken curry! Where is the “malai” or nuts ? Very disappointed

Really poor quality, food was bland and cold the naan burnt and the mogo stale. Very disappointing

Gave this establishment a second chance after last order arrived late and cold. And this time it was worse, food arrived 45 minutes late and items missing. rang to complain and got told next order will be perfect and on time. This is not what you want to hear when an order you just received cost £44. Then delivery driver turned up with missing items 30 minutes later moaning that he's used two lot's of fuel to deliver my order. We'll sorry mate that ain't my problem speak to site that sent order.

Do you know what,, food great guys in the bar great.. I do a curry club and this is my 2nd time here and it has not dissaponted the chilli panner was an absolute winner and the mains were unreal..

Arrived 15 minutes late and all food was cold. needed to go in microwave all items before it was eatable. But the quality of food was very good.

Had takeaway the food was over spiced, salty and did not look good at all, very dark. All items tasted the same, biryani was lumpy, very disappointed.

Great evening with friends, the young girl that served us was amazing, every time we asked for minor changes to dishes, she happily passed the message to the kitchen, unlike some places we’ve been where every request is met with a brick wall or worse ! We will definitely be going back 👍

The food was tasty as usual but the chilli paneer was mixed with a thin sauce with onions rather than a drier dish ordered previously. Still overall good food! 🙂

2nd time coming here, and will be many more to come. Food at the Melton is absolutely fantastic, a starter and a main less than £20. Starters are huge! Mains are even bigger! I had a starter, and main with mushroom rice and a naan for less than £20 pound. There was enough food for 2 people. The flavours were amazing. The staff are really friendly and and go out of their way to give you a great dining experience. I very highly recommend this place!

Excellent food like last time! Although earliest slot chosen was 5.40pm the estimated time for delivery was actually 6.10pm but arrived 5.55pm. Extremely happy to be able to pre order before opening time. Delicious food 😋 Will be looking forward to our next meal from there!

Was very spicy for a tikka masala

Food arrived 35 minutes later than time slot selected. However the food was absolutely delicious! Hats off to the chefs 😋 Would definitely order again 😊

Delicious food, took note of instructions to make it hot and spicy and delivered early.

Food was delicious with instructions followed to make it hot and spicy. Garlic and chilli nan with no butter was rubbery hence I have scored you 4 out of 5 for yhe food quality. If it was nice and soft I would have given you 5 out of 5 for the food quality.

Good food. Nice variety. Upstairs dining restaurant. Fair price for food, bit pricey on the drinks. Waitress was a little new to the job. Empty when we arrived at 8pm but soon began to fill up. Downstairs toilet facilities required cleaning, did inform waitress but nothing was done during the 2 or so hours we were there.

First I ordered for 7.30 I was given an estimated time for 8. Not received it around eight I called the restaurant. And was told that the driver is on his way. Didn't get the food till after 8.30. Food arrived cold and seemed that it was same gravy for 3 different things, and the nan was rubbery and not eatable. Will not recommend this and will definitely not order again

The food was absolutely fantastic I will go further and say the best ever I had as a takeaway. Not swimming in oil makes a change from other takeaways. Absolutely delicious.

Butter chicken was really tasty and at a nice spice level, not the normal creamy curry you would expect. Only thing I’d complain about is that the raitha was kept at the bottom with all the warm food so wasn’t that great tasting on the day but next day was completely fine

Ordered the tropical Balti. There weren't any lamb or king prawns in it! It was also missing other items. Also, the kids' chicken wings were actually spicier than the Balti good job. My child likes spicey food.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food, it came on time with friendly driver. It was fresh and ticked the boxes. Big bold flavours, not greasy so I felt good after I ate it. Thank you melton restaurant. I will order again and recommend.

Good quality food and decent portions. Friendly and helpful waitress. Room was a tad cold, sat next to a radiator to warm up but it was at the lowest setting possible. Can't blame them I suppose, price of heating and all that.

So I placed a order for a garlic chilli king prawn curry, when I opened the container it was not even king prawns it was the small prawns and was hardly even warm.. I paid £11.00 plus for small prawns 😶.

Waste of £75 on Christmas day ordering from this restaurant food turned up an hour later than expected cold nan's cold shops and cold rice called the restaurant four times no one picked up disgraceful and keep taking me off this app but I will keep putting it back on

I love this restaurant. I'm back in Leicester twice per year and this is where I always want to go! The food is great, the staff are warm and welcoming and even though I only get there twice per year they remember me and chat like no time has passed. Highly recommended to everyone who wants a wonderful meal and service.

Been here long time ago but it's been done out, not flashy but OK, food was great taste and average portions, service was great also, drinks OK. Recommended for food but don't expect 5star restaurant.

Annoyingly the time stated prior to order was thirty minutes, so we used this restaurant. Once we had placed the order they changed the time to 1 hour 15 minutes.... it arrived 1 hour 10 minutes after order. It not on for them to quote 30 minutes before the order is taken then change it once they have the order..... we only ordered from them because they said 30 minutes

Food was cold, so didnt taste good however delivery and eating in is two diff things so will try again but in the restaurant

The nann were stone cold I requested all dishes apart from 2 to be made extra hot with chopped green chillies the were mild and bland will definitely not be ordering from here again what a waste of nearly £50

Ordered the boneless mixed grill which I have been ordering over the last few years. It has normally been consistently good however the seekh kebabs were foul and tasted off.

Absolutely awful food. It’s the same flavours in every dish. Overly spiced but without any flavour. The chilli chicken was bland, everything on the mixed grill tasted the same as everything else. The chilli paneer and mattar paneer were exactly the same. Same flavour, laced with spice. The chips were dry and crispy (I’ve never seen a chip that is only half full with potato) and the lassi was painful to drink. The staff were fantastic and they deserve to serve customers better food. Terrible culinary experience.

Food was an hour and half late. We rang many of times and they were very apologetic, but none the less we didn't want to sit and eat our food at 10pm at night.

This should really be 0 stars, but I have to give 1 just to write a comment. Very disappointed with the booking management. Our group of 14 was double booked ruing our family reunion. Not very apologetic or accommodating to find a solution. If this ever happens to you, try the @indianqueen instead!

Ordered a chicken Vindaloo it was waste of time .I've never had a curry so mild. The lamb my mate had was hotter.
