The food was just brilliant. The cider was very good for a bristol boy. Lol, the manager was amazing and very welcoming. If you want good food and a nice welcoming place to visit, do try this place. If you are man enough try the taunton cider

Visited just before 2.30pm on Sunday, and they managed to fit us in before service stopped for Sunday lunch. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Had the spiced butternut squash soup and brie wedges to start, followed by two beef roasts. Portion sizes were generous and the food was good quality and tasty. The pub is quite traditional inside, with a large fireplace and dog friendly. Would visit again if in the area.

Great Sunday lunch and was dog friendly. My wife had beef and I had turkey and there was plenty of it. It came with yorkshire pud, cauliflower cheese and all the trimmings. Meals came with lots of delicious gravy already poured on which suited us but you may want to say before if you want to pour your own. Friendly and efficient service and reasonably well priced.

Super pub that offers accommodation. Lovely staff. We had a turkey roast dinner, one of the options offered on the Sunday menu. It was a good plate full with seasonal veg and all the trimmings. Hot and well presented and good value for money. We will definitely visit again.

Found this nice quaint pub on the off chance. Friendly staff. lovely cat. But the food was only ok. (Steak pie good, but carrots hard & soggy bottom on fish).

been here twice now. the first time we had sunday lunch which was very generous and pretty good but they charged me £3.95 for a small jug of extra gravy which i felt was a bit steep. second time we just had drinks got very unfriendly welcome from person behind bar who was clearly not having a good day. so wont be going back.

We booked the Masons Arms because before Covid it was our regular good value pub/restaurant for food in the area. We arrived last night Saturday to find the place almost empty. Not good we thought, it always before Covid was full. Myself and a friend had Salmon, and the other two had fish and chips. The Salmon was priced at £18.95. Should be good for that we thought. Well!!, The new potatoes were not cooked, the salmon was overcooked(dry), the whole meal was covered in hollandaise sauce, as of the sauce had been warmed up, and then thrown over the meal, so as to make it almost inedible. The chips with fish and chip meal, though abundant were soft and soggy, and to cap it all when we asked for salt pepper and vinegar, a few sachets were placed in front us. This is the worst transport cafe food we have ever tasted in our lives. £18.95 you are joking. This restaurant, in my opinion is now the worst in the area. In my opinion people should be advised to not eat here,

Popped in on the off chance we could get a table as had been told other pub in the area was fully booked. So glad it was as we wouldn’t have found this place otherwise. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Good selection of drinks. We ordered steak and gammon with homemade chunky chips. Food was very hot and portions were great. Everything tasted fab and the chips were amazing and proper chunky Wish we had found this place earlier in the week as it would have been our local for the week Definitely recommend

If you book for a meal here - DON'T eat for 2 days before ! The portions are HUGE. The service is brilliant, and you MUST try the Chinese Pork Belly Slices with noodles, sweet corn and spring onions. I'm finding it hard to gather the words to describe how lovely a meal it is - out of this world seems so inadequate ! You may have gathered we enjoyed our meals there - yes, we went twice last week. Everything was PERFECT and beyond - thank you - all of you. If I could give you ten stars I would !

Not being a local we were unfamiliar with the pub, the decor was a bit tired and it looked like it wasn’t going to be that great-don’t look at the decor-eat the food! We all had a roast dinner (pork and turkey) and it was fab. Good sized dinner, gluten free version- on all the others Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, good selection of veg including cauliflower cheese. Puds sticky toffee pudding, ice cream and cheesecake. Quite a basic menu choice on a Sunday but what they do, they do well!

What a wonderful evening. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pub is set out well to take account of the current climate. The food was absolutely delicious! The portions were generous and even tjough I was full, I just wanted to finish my dinner as it was s tasty. It was very popular and would definitely recommend to book to avoid disappointment - you definitely wouldn’t want to miss out!

Day one after lockdown and great to be able to drink and eat out! Aimee & Simon have clearly been very hard at work inside and out in customers' absence - it's really paid off. Spruced up bar & restaurant areas are bright and welcoming whilst still taking heed of all Govt expectations. Whilst we have taken advantage of their delivery/takeaway service throughout, it's not the same and although I am not a beer drinker my husband assures me Simon 'knows how to keep a good pint'. We were able to grab a table for lunch and enjoyed scampi with hand cut chips and a voluminous ploughman's. The arrangements are new for all of us yet Simon & Aimee continue to be cheerful and engaging under what must be difficult times. Be confident of visiting here as the food & drink are as good as ever and they have worked hard to ensure a welcoming environment. Well done Aimee & Simon, we shall return, soon. PS - if it's on the menu, Mint Aero Tiffin is fab!
