Really cute little coffee shop with gorgeous views of beach and sea. Very friendly staff and the perfect place to have lunch and a coffee after some long walks in the area. They do a great fish finger sandwich and I also love the burgers. I've been a few times and will keep coming back!

Was overcharged for the drinks, when I pointed this out, I was told the price had gone up! Price was clearly marked on the board. I should have walked out. Not impressed with the hygine as teh drinks were served on a a dirty tray, no serviette so the spoon was 'dirty'.

We were directed to this coffee shop by a fellow business owner from another cafe. On arrival we were told everything on the menu was available. They were trying to say the sausage rolls were lovely, so my husband had 2. I couldn't see a price for them, and it wasn't until we were told how much our bill was I realised how expensive they were. 2 sausage rolls, a cheese toastie and 2 coffees came to £26.95. I kept trying to work how much things were individually. And it was difficult to question the bill once the items were put in front of us. We were well and truly robbed.

Went here today 10th August, for lunch. Ordered food for 8 of us, the burgers and fish finger baps were good, but the problem was the two cream teas we ordered.... You know where you are with Roddas clotted cream, I had one bite and it wasn't right, I checked the smell and the pot and noticed it was expired. Asked my friend if his was the same, both expired Jul 22nd. I went to the counter, where they told me they froze the clotted cream to make it last longer. The process clearly doesn't work with clotted cream, coz it tasted very odd. The lady did refund us which was appreciated

Travelled 35 miles to visit this coffee shop arrived at 3.35pm and sat in the annex. Then was told after 5 mins to move as they were shutting at 4 'o' clock and needed to bring the tables in. So moved further inside. Whilst doing this i could hear my wife ordering a latte with the milk in the cup and the coffee separate so we could add it later. I like weak coffee. She explained this twice. They came to the table with a latte with what they described was about ½ shot in it and then separate shots in a expresso cup. We both said that was not right and we had to explain it again, after a few mins ½ cup of steamed milk turned up! So again we had to ask for it to be filled up! Really don't know why they couldn't get this right and after this went very sarcastic with us banging biscuits down on the table in front of us and asking us if everything was alright now. Also heard them moaning as two German holiday makers ordered toasted sandwiches and they did not really want to do this as they were closing but they did in the end. My issue here is two fold. If you are going to run a cafe in a tourist area then you should not be shutting up at 4 'o' clock on a Saturday afternoon! It is all over the West Country news that this year (2024) visitor numbers are down. You need to look after each and every customer that graces their presence in your establishment. Then secondly you need to listen to your customers requirements when making a simple latte and not take it out on them because you got it wrong! Indecently all other shops in Porlock Weir should not be shutting at this time either as there were plenty of people about. Lost revenue and sadly we won't be coming back! also review 100% accurate.

A little tricky to find but worth the effort. A overflow seating area on the harbour edge, especially pleasant when the tide is in. A good selection of hot and cold food and drinks. Not inexpensive but very little is at Porlock Weir. We had toasted sandwiches which were very tasty, and the staff were efficient if not overly friendly.

This little gem of a cafe sits right on the harbour wall in Porlock Weir. Lot's of indoor and outdoor seating, with a nice welcoming reception from the staff. The lady who served me was very cheerful and polite. I can only assume she is the manager as she showed a high level of confidence in her attitude to customers and other younger staff members.. I visited mid morning on the weekend and enjoyed a lovely English breakfast, lovely fresh cooked, well presented and ample portions. I had two Latte coffees and they were perfectly made and hot. I would certainly recommend this cafe, whether for just a tea, coffee or cold drink or a light meal. I'll certainly go again when I'm on the area.

The lady owner is an absolute piece of work. She has zero respect for her staff and even less for her customers. She will raise her voice and speaks to her young staff abhorrently with no regard to who else is there. The cafe is routinely empty whilst the rest of the weir is rammed. The food and drinks are nice but take a lifetime to come and one burger had plastic still on it in the bun with salad and sauce on top!!! The lady serving drinks is pleasant but be aware that when ordering your drink you should not talk to her else she has to stop what she is doing to gossip with you or more likely another member of staff then she forgets your order and has to start again. She cannot multi task and is regularly observed sat on a sofa on her phone or gossiping instead of being front of house. Whilst there one of us was given a product that they were allergic to despite notifying the member of staff taking the order and the chef! This resulted in illness and is horrifically dangerous to future patrons of the cafe. In short, the management is rude, the older staff and chef incompetent and the younger staff brow beaten. The food may or may not poison or choke you if you even receive it at all. 0/10 do NOT recommend.

However most of the staff have left and the customer facing owner will be the absolute death of it! She is rude and abrupt, with absolutely no idea on how to treat the young staff. Escaping the rain I decided to grab an early lunch and headed for this venue. It looks very attractive from the outside, and inside the maritime theme was continued in a very interesting way. I grabbed a seat just in time, because this is obviously a very popular venue, and seeing the food and drink on offer, one can see why. It's a most delightful setting, full of charm, and the service is friendly and welcoming. The menu is pretty varied and I opted for a cream tea which really was ample; and the scones and jams were delicious. There were plenty of other offerings of a more savoury kind and it's just a delightful place to eat. When it's not raining there is good outdoor seating as well I recommend a visit, but arrive in time be sure of a seat

The food was really good unfortunately the experience was let down by service. We sat in the restaurant and we could hear everything going on in the kitchen, not normally a problem but in this instance the waiting staff were being told to go and take orders, we'd been waiting 15 minutes in an empty pub! Then to add insult to injury we could hear a male belching loudly from the kitchen. This put us off the food that was delivered.... in short we have been here before and came back because we had a good meal, whether or not new staff or just a one off we would need to seriously consider if we return. Sorry as a big fan of supporting local pubs & businesses it goes against the grain but these days money is too hard earned not to say something!

The website is very misleading as it makes the rooms look nice and modern, but ours was a bit grim and dated; nothing ‘deluxe’ about it. The shower was nice as it had been recently renovated. No soundproofing so you can hear literally everything in the other rooms. The TV was ancient and tiny. In-room coffee is instant only and we asked for oat milk when we booked and didn’t get it. Bed was ok but the pillows were uncomfortable. The carpet looked like it had been there for 50 years and needs replacing. Spa also needs to be upgraded - big hole in the floor of the steam room and the jacuzzi was closed (we weren’t told that at the time of booking). One pro is that it’s a good location - easy walk to shops and restaurants and the park.
