What a fantastic find! Absolutely lovely pub! We were served by Joey who was absolutely fabulous and super helpful and was such a nice surprise to have so many vegan options! We had the banana blossom fish and chips with a side of gravy!

We Popped in for our teas we had gammon and egg it was delicious 😋

We have been going here for the past 7 years and honesty we have NEVER had a bad meal or drink, service is excellent, all staff are so friendly and chatty, tbh this public establishment needs to win awards as if they were all like this many more people would visit Warkworth 😉

My wife and I did the lovely walk from Alnmouth to Warkworth today. When we finished the walk, we called in this great pub. The food was delicious and good value. My wife had the roast beef sandwich, and I had the fish butty. They were on the light bites menu. However, these were Northumberland light bites, and we were stuffed by the time we'd eaten them. Best of all was the service from the excellent staff. It was so refreshing to get service with a smile. The guys who served the food were first class. Will definitely be back.

We called here twice whilst staying near Warkworth. We were so pleased with just how good the food was here. Over the two visits we had starters and mains both days, everything was super hot, generous portions and the service was brilliant! Especially the young male waiter who was super friendly and incredibly polite - it makes a good evening great when the staff are so good! The atmosphere here as well is lovely, very relaxed and friendly, a really nice mixture of people. After 6pm it started getting very busy both days with people waiting for tables. It’s a must for good home cooked puddings food if you’re near the area!!!

What a great old fashioned good pub with great food. We were holidaying in the area and dined one evening. We were lucky to get a table, which is a good sign. My wife needs gluten free, and they did a range of suitable mains, starters & desserts. Her GF fish and chips was more whale and chips. I had the days special, cumberland sausage ring, on blackpudding mash, roasted carrots and red onion gravey. It was excellent. Both dishes were excellent value. The staff were efficient and friendly, especially our server. It didn't apply to us, but they go big style in catering for dogs, with a separate dog menu!

Worthy of more than 5 stars! We were taken by our friends for lunch whilst visiting the area, and despite no reservations we managed to get seated quickly on a Saturday lunchtime when the weather had turned. The local gin was good and there is a good selection of drinks. The menu was mouth watering! Both my husband and I had the crab Mac n cheese and honestly I’m still dreaming of it now. Service great and lovely to see it so dog friendly. The history of the pub is fascinating. What a gem!

Great classic pub serving a solid Sunday lunch. If you're looking for unnecessary frills, like everything being served in its own little dish you're out of luck. If you want a good quality Sunday lunch, cooked well, served pretty quickly and by friendly staff - 100% recommend it. Only thing I would ask is more roast potatoes - you get one cut in haflf

Arrived 13.30 for Sunday lunch. Although very busy, they found me a table for two. Friendly service despite the potential for rushing us. Both had the beef Sunday roast and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty.

5 of us visited for Sunday lunch. As others have mentioned, the Sunday roast is excellent, with several options, plenty of roast meat, lovely light Yorkshires and loads of vegetables and gravy. Followed this up with superb home made ginger sponge - outstanding! The service was friendly and efficient, prices very reasonable and beer well kept. Thoroughly recommended.

Had a look on Google to find somewhere good to eat on the way home from Alnwick gardens and saw the good reviews for the Masons Arms. Lovely traditional cosy pub atmosphere and very friendly staff. It was really busy and we got the last available table. My 5 year old son had the macaroni cheese which was lovely and a perfect sized portion. I had the ‘Masons cock and bull’ which was chicken and rump steak in a creamy peppercorn sauce with rice. It was lovely. All of us enjoyed our meal and we would definitely return.

We usually drop in for a drink in the beer garden on a nice day, occasionally buy food as well. Good selection of typical pub food 👌

We got 2 children's meals, cheese burger and chips. My grandsons loved them. Me and my husband got mason burgers. They were huge. We will definitely go back.

We ordered a pizza and bowl of muscles, both tasted amazing, it also has a beautiful beer garden to the rear with lots of seating and a snack hut, would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Lovely dog friendly pub. Both inside and out back in the walled garden. Also a covered area to sit too. Had a Trio Sunday dinner, pork, lamb and beef. Loads of veg, a good size Yorkshire pud and plenty of meat. The beef was beautiful. Lovely chocolate brownie with ice cream to finish. Very clean and there is a disabled wc.

Tried to order a pint at the bar, was there first but was served last. Not very organised. Then, Fish and chip were both soggy. This place is overrated.

Never been to this pub before. Didn't have to book, wasn't a long wait which is good with children. The service was great, food was great. Very tasty. Not bad prices either.

Went for lunch, the dirty fries were suitably dirty, set me up for a very relaxing afternoon. I decided to go back later in the week for dinner, steak and ale pie with a suet crust. I am a traditionalist and think a pie should be encased, however the filling offsets this , I would highly recommend the pie. My wife had cheese and 3 onion pie, (written the right way round), she said it was the best cheese and onion pie she had ever tasted. Well worth a visit.

Visited 3 times as we were staying in a cottage in walksworth and each time was excellent so can recommend, husband loved the steak and Ale Pie. Lovely clean pub with large beer garden, only 1 thing we didn't enjoy was the pizza from the pizza shack in the beer garden we asked for pizza with pepperoni and no herbs but they brought it with herbs, tbh it looked like a supermarket pizza he did attempt to eat it but it was awful, I should really have complained but didn't want to upset our grandson Have given good review but would have got excellent if the pizza had been edible

Called in for a spot of lunch yesterday with two wet dogs and had a thoroughly enjoyable visit. The food was delicious, service prompt and dogs made welcome what more could you ask. 😊🐕 The hot pork and stuffing sandwich with gorgeous handmade chips certainly hit the spot! A great choice of ales too!

Came here with my nephew for Sunday dinner & really enjoyed it. There was only soup as the choice of starter but it was beautiful. My nephew had the trio & I had the pork all cooked perfect as was the veg & gravy was amazing. We both had pudding brownie & ginger pudding which was 1 of the best sponge puddings I’ve ever tasted.

This Pub serves some of the best pub grub i have ever eaten, welcoming friendly and with nice beers. dog friendly with treats for them, after a long walk was always a welcome sight to see.

Stopped off for a drink and bite to eat after a wet and windy walk around Warkworth castle. Great dog friendly pub with a dog menu. Staff were warm and welcoming. Food was lovely. Would definitely visit again if we are in this lovely village.

Great village pub. Can get busy as you cannot pre book a table but worth the wait for food. Staff always friendly and work very hard...big thanks to Mary for always making us feel so welcome. Menu not massive but does offer Gluten free items which is a plus. I can recommend the fish and chips and the burger

Had the leg of lamb Sunday dinner. Absolutely gorgeous. Very succulent and the veg selection brilliant. There was a doggy menu as well which was fun.

This s great place to tbh its a bit busy but a great atmosphere, they don't take booking but don't worry, it a high turnover that you just need to have a pint and chill. The staff are really friendly, very helpful. Food was lovely and it's well worth a visit. Nice!

Had Sunday lunch 18/2/24 loin of pork with all the trimmings, very nice, sensible prices, good services, plenty of choice, would go back, only a tiny gripe I would of liked a bit of crackling

Never had halibut cooked as perfectly I did going here! Service was friendly, but professional and every dish we had was divine. It's a shame we didn't stay to try desserts, but maybe next time!

A little disappointed food wasn't as good as usual chips greasy and soggy , peas luke warm steak pie wasn't as good as usual .

Just had a very disappointing Sunday lunch here. Arrived at 4 which was 2 hours before food service stopped so wasn't expecting very dry meat, luke warm veg and overdone Yorkshire pudding. Never had a bad meal before but well below standard today. Usually don't bother saying anything when asked if everything was ok by the staff but did this time and all I got was 'oh that's a shame' and they walked off. Won't be bothering to eat here for a while, shame as it used to be good.

After reading reviews decided this was the place to grab a bite to eat on a Friday lunchtime. The characterful pub was lovely and the service warm and welcoming however our hot roast beef sandwiches were a little underwhelming, the beef was ok but the bread was a cheap tasting white roll, although the chips were good.

Went for lunch, food was delicious, fair price and nice portions. The pub was quiet had the log Burner on which made the place cosy.

We stayed midweek in January at a cottage very close by and most days went in for a drink and a packet of crisps. Best dog friendly pub I’ve been in. Warm and friendly atmosphere, warm and friendly staff. Great choice of beers and refreshments, lovely log burner going, 1C outside.

We visited The Masons Arms with friends, and were surprised to see it well filled on a miserable Thursday evening in January; it was a good indication of how popular this pub is; however we easily found a table with plenty room for our party...

Great Pub! Great Atmosphere! We stopped after a wet family walk over the Christmas New Year Break 2 Kids and a Dog. The staff were great and such a welcoming place we came back again. I've never been in a pub so dog friendly and welcoming.
