I’m so sad to see this lovely place closed. It had great staff and atmosphere and a fantastically good smoked haddock chowder. I wish its people all the best and I thank them for all the great visits we’ve had here. I really hope that there might be a replacement cafe of such quality. We’ll watch with interest.

We went along for some hearty food on a very rainy day, and we weren't disappointed. Toasties, soup and kippers - all homemade, decent portion size and at a reasonable price - served by a friendly team. The only disappointment was to hear that today is the last day of the Shoreline. It's now closed, permanently. Many thanks guys - glad we visited today! All the best.

Poor excuse for a crab sandwich.made with supermarket brown bread . It had crab in it. No garnish . It looked like a twelve year old had made it. Craster really deserves a better cafe .

Dropped in for a couple of hot drinks and cakes after a walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. Our hot drinks - a latte and a mocha - were both very good. We also had a scone each, one cheese and one fruit. Obviously freshly made and both delicious. Service was reasonably quick and very friendly. Dog friendly.

Lunch. Crab sandwiches. Good ones. Generously filled and packed with flavour due to a robust use of the brown meat, mixed with the white. A sausage roll tasted better than it looked. Which wasn’t saying much.

Terrible coffee unbelievably weak, it was like hot milky water. Asked for an extra shot and was charged an extortionate price for the weakest shot we have ever experienced. I don't like strong coffee but I do like to taste the coffee in my drink. There were other people sat outside saying the same thing. We won't be going back, shame as it's a nice little coffee shop.

Asked for a couple of scones to take away I was told they were too busy. I asked again just for a couple of slices of cake or scones to take away and again was told sorry they were too busy. I can not understand how a business that relies on customers spending money will refuse a very simple and swift request. I could have been served and away in less than a minute rather than take up a table and be waited on and cleared up afterwards.

We visited the Shoreline cafe on a recommendation and it proved to be an ideal Brunch stop off. Staff were attentive and we sat in the outside area as weather was perfect. Coffee was perfect and choice of sandwiches proved to be fresh with plenty of filling. Husband especially loved the Kipper in a soft white bun.

The warm welcome and friendly service we received from the staff made all the difference to an otherwise wet and cold day on the coast. The soup of the day was broccoli and stilton soup. It was delicious. My husband was very pleased with the hot Cornish Pasty which had a perfect pastry casing. It was a nice touch that our tea for two came with an additional small jug of hot water. This does not happen often these days. the tea was good, too. We rounded the meal off with a generously-sized slice of nicely moist ginger bread. All was very reasonably priced. There are also some greeting cards, craft items and some very evocative limited edition seascape prints. We had a lovely lunchtime experience. Thank you.

Ate here because, disappointingly, the place we wanted to visit was unexpectedly closed. Coffee good, sandwiches not so much. My partner had the cheese and pickle - even I make a better sandwich.Plenty of sanitizer, but staff didn’t question a lady who went up to the counter to order (table service) who hadn’t put her mask back on. We’ve been going to Craster for years, all year round and often go to Shoreline Cafe to get a take out cake/bun to take back to our caravan. Today we called in to do the same only to be told we can’t sell you cakes to take out as we won’t have enough cakes to sell to customers inside as part of the Government eat in to help out scheme. Incredible - would rather burden the tax payer than allow the fullprice paying customer to make a purchase. Rather shortsighted don’t you think especially as the Government scheme is only for August and I am an all year round visitor to the area and they’ve now lost a customer.

We visited here for lunch and booked in advance on the recommendation of the owner. We enjoyed the crab sandwiches and felt that they were ok value at £8.25 with crisps and salad as the crab filling was good. I paid for these using my Amex card and benefitted from the shop small promotion. We decided to have some cake and drinks for pudding and my wife went to acquire these items. When it came to paying she was told in no uncertain terms that they didn’t accept Amex. This was clearly a lie and incorrect and I’m reporting the matter to Amex as the owners are being disingenuous. There are better options in Craster, but this was perfectly ok for a light lunch. Service was helpful apart from the abrupt woman who refused to take Amex. Wish they hadn’t lied about the Amex and denied my wife the shop small promotion, which I had received 20 minutes earlier!

This our first time in any cafe/restaurant since lockdown so we were a little anxious.dhoreline was very well laid out and the gentleman greeting was very polite and helpful.Foid was excellent, especially the smoked haddock chowder.Definitely recommend.

Just what we needed after walking from Dunstan Steads - a reviving brew and a bite to eat whilst enjoying the sunny weather in their outdoor seating area. Very impressed with the speed of service, the friendliness of the staff, and the food and drinks. Definitely recommended, and hope that they continue to do well over the summer.

After visiting Craster for a walk and in need of a coffee, we were pleasantly surprised to see this little coffee shop open for business. The owners were very friendly and welcoming which was really nice to see given we are not locals were worried the residents of Craster would rather people stay away. The coffee was delicious and later we popped in for a sarnie which was also tasty. They had a one way system in place which worked really well. We will definitely return to Shoreline Cafe when we are next in Craster and will recommend to friends and family :)

We happened upon the cafe by chance on a drive to the coast. In desperate need of coffee, we stopped by to grab a couple of takeaway drinks. It was very quiet and the cafe has been set up with a one way system for buying take away drinks with necessary social distancing arrangements in place. The owners are lovely- we stayed for a brief chat in which they seemed genuinely interested in us, and also were telling us about how they are coping with owning a small business during lockdown. Lovely people and great coffee too. Very happy to support this local business. Thank you. I hope it goes well for you as lockdown arrangements change.

Me and my wife stayed here for two nights, the staff were very helpful the food was excellent, the bar was a little pricey and maybe a little restricted for choice. But overall an excellent stay.

We stopped by chance at The Percy Arms for a drink and ended up eating an amazing meal-Wednesday afternoon and very quiet but the food was delicious and the service excellent. The soup was very tasty and the steak cooked to perfection - we will return!

My partner & I came here on Sunday for a spot of lunch we both had Fish & Chips ( I had salad with mine instead of chips) I have to say the fish was amazing I would say 100 times better than you would get at a fish shop. The batter was so light & crispy and the fish tasted so good. The staff made us feel so welcome happy smiling faces and we did not have to wait long before our food came I would whole heartily recommend plants plus for lunch

As always the food was amazing and the portions very generous. A lovely warm welcome and Sarah went above and beyond when one of our party decided after our meals were brought out that she would like some bread and butter with her meal. Sarah sorted it out without any fuss.

I'm on record as having said on many occasions that if they awarded PhDs for scone-tasting, I should have a dozen. I've eaten scones in venues from the Orkney Islands to Australia and written about them in more publications than I could possibly remember. So, you can take my word for it that the freshly-baked, home-made scones (with butter and strawberry jam) at No.6 are quite possibly the best I've tasted in recent years. Cafe No 6 is a quaint place with a very atmospheric first-floor eating area, a delightful owner and staff who look like they are actually enjoying the job they do. My wife and I were just as impressed with the special 'doggy menu' on offer. We shall be back!
