Adam & Eve in Northumberland

Not a nice place, gloomy, depressing atmosphere, couldn't drink the coffee it was so foul, other person's drink cold, we had to take back, they still charged us of course! The response from the owner tells you all you need to know, no apology or acknowledgement of areas of improvement.

Lovely bar just next to the train station and bus station so if you miss a bus or train you could always drop in to the Adam & Eve and have some beverages while you wait or even a bite to eat if you want to stay longer 😀

Great little pub for a quiet libation. Bar staff are top notch.

Great little pub close to station with good food served quickly. Really friendly staff with great attitude. pool table , dart board and spacious enough to hots 10 of us for a good night out. Staff went out of there way and nothing was to much trouble

Had our Christmas day meal here I carnt recommend this pub enough everything was fantastic the food was spot on and the staff were brilliant nothing was a problem to them thank you to everyone for making our Christmas day special Andrea

Went on short notice, food was excellent. Hot, plentiful & tasty. Service was brilliant the guy serving was attentive, knowledgeable and efficient 2 course Sunday lunch for £15.95. 3 course for £19.95 Well worth it.

Took the family here on Sunday for my birthday and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was amazing and staff were brilliant. My daughter is vegetarian and wanted a Sunday lunch but unfortunately they had no vegetarian sausages left, the chef went above and beyond and made her some so she wasn’t missing part of her dinner even though she said it was ok she would just have the veg… you won’t find many places that go to that effort these days. Staff were extremely busy the whole time but kept a very professional and friendly manner for the full service.

Fabulous food at a very reasonable price! The pie of the day was epic and the chicken in batter delicious! Really friendly staff and good choice of ale too.

We have just come back from a lovely Sunday dinner at Adam and Eve. Upon arrival, we were met with Ben who showed us to our table and took our drinks order. All the staff gave a fantastic service and made sure that we were fully catered for during our visit. We ordered 2x potato skins, 2x beef dinners, sticky toffee pudding, and a hot chocolate pudding - all of which didn’t disappoint. Although all of the staff were brilliant, I’d like to note that Ben (despite it being his first shift) went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His upbeat personality did not go unnoticed. I’d 100% recommend the Adam and Eve Pub to anyone, and I will definitely be returning soon.

Wasn't very busy at the time of my visit wanted to sit in the nice seats but cos I wasn't eating had to move to the bar area

Staff are hard working, kind well mannered and attentive. Second time visiting, food tastes great. Prices are reasonable. Dogs welcome!

Food was not up to scratch, very disappointed ,idont eat chips and asked for salad and they only had lettuce which wasn't the freshest and raw onion and coleslaw,no tomatoes or other salad ingredients ,which I find very strange in a restaurant . The young man that served us was very attentive and apologised in the end they did not charge me for my meal.

Friendly atmosphere, child friendly, nice outdoor space. Good food, cold beer and good drinks selection.

No cask ales on despite sign outside and blackboard inside. Only popped in briefly on Sunday early evening - garden nice enough but place pretty empty.

Just called in for lunch had the katsu chicken curry it was amazing hugh portion dillion the bar staff was very helpful and very very pleasant we will certainly be back

Stopped off at train station on an ale trail. However no real ales. Family pub with kids' area. Good place for family and friends and looks like good place to eat.

We were a table of 17 who pre-booked for a holiday, we arrived on a rainy Tuesday evening and were served by two polite young lads who were very efficient! The food was lovely, great portion sizes and very tasty. Overall a lovely experience!

Only to pick up a triumph motorcycle that had a puncture looks like a nice pub though.

We came here as a big group with non pre-book. There was only one lad on the bar who was brilliant considering being the only FOH on. Food was really good quality and reasonably priced. Would recommend

Came for tea here 2 weeks ago with my daughter on a Monday at 5pm. Hardly anyone in. Don't know if it was chefs day off, but the food that they served was disgusting. Worst meal I've ever had! The chicken breast I had was obviously frozen, as well as hamburger, my daughter had, as both not very hot and not very appetising. The chips were white and must have also been heated up in microwave as had no colour at all. Just as well served on dark blue plate or would not have seen them on a white plate! Would definitely not recommend and will never go back again.

We turned up without a booking and a kids party was just getting started,the noise was ear piercing and credit to the staff they quickly identified this and reseated us in a quieter area even before we asked which we were happy about. I opted for the Adam burger with double cooked chips,it didn't take long and i have to say it was one of the nicest burgers ive ever had,my partner and daughter also commented on how nice their food was as well,we'll definitly be going back.

Landlord eyed us up all night and then kicked us out for splitting on the table (we didnt). Plus racist.

Boring place never visit, a couple of the bar staff have absolutely awful attitudes owner kicked a group of 12 out for one person spitting on floor and was very aggressive not worth the visit at all.

Frankly one of the worst experiences in a pub ever. Staff were incredibly rude towards my friend, who has IBS, and the incident ended in all of my family being forcibly removed for the allegation of "causing mass disruption and fear". We were sipping drinks chatting. Never returning there again !!

Called in today without reservations,(3 adults & 3 children) & were greeted by the very friendly staff & shown to a table. Pub was very busy (Sunday lunch) but nothing was too much trouble. Had an amazing roast beef lunch, stuffed to the rafters, absolutely 5*!

Lovely sunday roast, great food, great service.

The food was very poor. The classic burger was inedible, and when I told the owner all he said was sorry. Not good enough when our lad had struggled to eat nearly a quarter. I could add that the children's play area was a broken mess and the toilets were a disgrace.

We have had a lovely afternoon in the Adam & Eve today the food was so tasty which was delivered with great service from John and his friend behind the bar We both chose burgers which were superb and huge we had to wait awhile before we could tackle the luxury chocolate fudge cake and the jam sponge pudding

Pleasant & friendly place ideal for family gatherings & meals. A recently revamped outdoor area that will be very popular over the coming months. Well worth a visit

Called two minutes before we arrived and were accommodated cheerily my wife and 4 children and myself. The staff pointed out they were a little short staffed due to covid and there’d likely be a 30-45 minute wait which we were absolutely fine with. We had starters, mains and dessert whilst the children had mains and dessert. The food was hot, well presented and appetising and the service excellent and very attentive. There’s a small soft play area for the children and a good selection of beers. We will be back soon.

Stopped off for refreshments on a bike ride with friends. Staff are really friendly, it's a lovely pub with beer garden and play area. Plenty of parking.

Visited the Adam and Eve today with my 2 year old son and a friend for Sunday lunch. We arrived and were greeted by a few lovely staff and barry who I believe to be the owner, they were very pleased and sorted us a table even tho we didn’t book they managed to squeeze us in, I was so glad we managed to get one as the food as absolute beautiful, well presented and so tasty!! You really do get what you pay for, there was plenty of meat, veg and gravy not to mention the wide selection of veg. We actually had the 3 course and all courses were lovely and again a very large portion. My 2 year old can be a handful at times and the staff were brilliant with him and us very chatty and so professional and welcoming. It has a large park which is great for children and you can sit at the window and watch them play which is also a bonus. Will 100% be back at the Adam and Eve for food and even maybe a few drinks one night next time as I hear it can be a great place to socialise too. Thanks again barry and his team 5* from me 😊

Exhilarating place in the middle of nowhere

Booked a table for 1.30pm and walked out at 2.40pm without as much of a sniff of mint sauce… to be told we are very busy and we cook everything fresh as their defence is nothing short of shameful. If only the manager had been as quick to get the food out as he was to chase me for my minimal drink bill! Even the apology was delivered unapologetically!

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch lots of choice! Pudding was amazing!! Staff were all very friendly and pleasant!! Jack is a lovely young man so helpful friendly!!!

After visiting two pubs in Hexham with very poor menus, we decided to call in to the Adam and Eve to try the food. So pleased we did. Making the most of the weather we sat outside and our daughter enjoyed the play area. Served by a very polite and friendly young lady. Food was probably the best bar meal I had had in many years. Opted for the Gammon and Chips. Fantastic home made chips, and a massive slice of excellent gammon meat. Also decided to have the additional prawns which were flavoursome and not at all oily. My wife throughly enjoyed her peppercorn chicken and my little girl, who can he a bit fussy, really enjoyed her pizza, beans and chips. From a last minute drop in, we are now planning a return visit. Perfect for families. Great place.

Absolutely beautiful food great service

Sooo poor, food took way over an hour to arrive after ordering, and the place was absolutely dead, I could understand if it was even remotely busy. When the food eventually arrived there was a lovely little surprise in the form of an insect included in the meal (fishcakes) I will add that the waitresses were lovely and very apologetic, the problem clearly lies with management. Avoid avoid avoid

Was such a shame after enjoying the food with a great staff member, both my friend and I ended up with sore tummys and the runs!
