An amazing find in a lovely village. A warm welcome by the staff and a lovely laid back atmosphere. A relaxing pre meal drink with Olives and snacks whilst waiting for our table. The ambiance in the Dining area was really lovely with no excessive noise that you get in some restaurants. For starters we had the soup and pate which were both delicious. Mains were also well cooked and full of flavour especially the duck which was excellent. We shared a dessert of Creme Bulee and ice cream with a small crumble which again was delicious. Cannot wait to return
I visited the Masons Arms after a break of sometime so it was nice to visit again. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The small sitting room had a roaring fire to welcome us before moving into the dining room. The dining room is pleasant, unpretentious and light. We both ordered from the a la carte, I selected the black peppered seared tuna with oriental dressing - beautiful tuna and very pleasant safe oriental salad although I would have liked a bit more kick to it but very enjoyable. The breads served were freshly baked and tasty. We then both choose a scallop, monkfish dish which was delicious, light and with some nice contrasts including a nice piquant tomato sauce - everything beautifully booked. We elected not to have a pudding but enjoyed tea and coffee at the end of the meal. We lingered and enjoyed the relaxing pace - no pressure to leave.
