Amazing people, amazing food and amazing atmosphere! Went to celebrate some good news as a family. Greeted by lovely warm people, the food was delicious and had that feel of the warm cozy hug of home cooked food. We have been before and will absolutely be back. Already planning our birthday breakfasts here for next year. Thank you for a lovely morning, fabulous food and we hope so see you again soon.

Great cakes and drinks. Tries the dandelion and burdock cake and loved it.

Super dog-friendly cafe with excellent choice of freshly prepared food and home-made cakes. Lots of drinks, other than the usual bottles and cans. Super friendly service and even a play area and games for children. Definitely worth a visit.

Went there for a Mother's Day afternoon tea for nine people. They managed to accommodate a big group, and the service was welcoming, friendly and efficient. The sandwiches and cakes were great, and tea and coffee were refillable. All in all, we had a very pleasant afternoon.

Take your dog for a coffee and cake, outdoor seating available - disability friendly - a great space for coffee and food. Dog friendly and child friendly venue. Gluten free desserts which are amazing. Great service every time. Fresh water for the dogs - even our noisy Dachshund welcome

Coffee was really nice and there's some lovely things to buy inside. It's clean and has a nice atmosphere. My friend waited a long time for food. They apologised as they forgot. Table wasn't cleared when we were done, we ordered another drink and it still wasn't cleared.

Went for afternoon tea and at £15.00 per person, it was good value. There were nice sandwiches, cake and cream scones. The staff were very friendly, bringing more tea and offering more sandwiches. It is a bright and airy cafe though think it could do with some background music to give it a little more atmosphere. Plenty of parking and easy access for all

Superb cafe with plenty of space. We all enjoyed the toasted panninis, v tasty. Enjoyable cake and coffee and special offer of £4 available on coffee and cake on a Wed. Will definitely be going here again. Excellent access for wheelchairs too! Service was friendly and efficient. What a superb cafe selling delicious food tucked away on this housing estate, absolutely one to visit and become a regular.

The best freshly baked cookies I've ever tasted! Delicious coffee. Such a welcoming environment, the ladies who run the place are amazing, they made me and my dog feel like family. Definitely worth a visit - you won't be disappointed.

I'd call this a place of compromise. You get good food but many things where missing cream for scones, no lemonade and a reduced menu. I believe this is due to what seems like a brilliant cake service running along side a cafe business. One taking priority over the other. Table service was acceptable and polite

Lovely staff and great homemade cakes and treats. Offering a takeaway service until they can safely return to an eat in service. Currently going through a refurb so looks empty, but they are positive to the future. We eat here regularly (and takeaway for the time being) definitely worth a try to support a local business.

atmosphere is perfect for someone who need a break on their busy lives.... nice place to chillax and feel like at home... service is fantastic and most of all I enjoyed the cake even though I am not a cake lover :-) cake is not sweet, not bland but simply perfect to your taste buds :-)

Had been looking forward to lunch here during my break from work, however having been told I would be waiting 5 minutes - 45 minutes later I still didn't have my lunch ! Was patient and asked how long it might be, another 5 min. Still no lunch. We eventually decided on take out which they kindly wrapped in foil. Unwrapped my take out to find that my tuna melt was a pathetic bit of cheese with even less onion. This and a coffee cost around £7 ! Disappointing.

I can't comment on the food here because what we liked they had ran out of early on a Saturday morning. We plumped for two coffees which came promptly but we were disappointed in the quality of it. I do believe this place needs a re vamp more into the coffee lounge type of place which is more suited to a modern building in a modern housing estate. What I found here was a miss mash of a place trying desperately hard to achieve a shabby sheek look but only creating a bland mix of badly thought out and placed tables and chairs. The place felt too big and this was over emphasised by the huge mirrors adorning the walls, it also felt a lovely title cold. A lot of people may like it here but it's not for us.

cute hidden little treasure this coffee shop. all the cakes and scones are home made! the scones just melt in your mouth I highly recommend you take a visit and try the scones. Also has a kiddy corner perfect to keep the little ones busy while you eat.

Went here today for a baby shower. What a wonderful place the staff are so friendly and attentive nothing is too much trouble. The homemade scones an cakes are great not expensive either.

Came here for my friends surprise baby shower, the staff were fab they let us come in early and decorate the table, set an extra table up for presents and props etc and even let us bring in our own prosecco and set up non alcoholic cocktails for the mum to be. Food and drinks arrived quickly and they were really friendly and the cake was absolutely divine.

What a delightful way to spend our anniversary; tucking in to cake and a hot beverage as part of the 'hump day' deal. Bargain at half a price! Great tasting cakes in a uniquely created environment. Lovely staff that work their socks off. Pleased to be supporting a small business.

What should have been a lovely way to finish off the birthday celebrations by having a afternoon tea, turned into an absolute nightmare no thanks to the disgusting behaviour/service received from the Marmalade Hut earlier today and the sheer arrogance of thinking they can charge over inflated prices, manipulating the public into believing they are paying for one thing to then receive another! Demanding a 50% deposit under a ruse of family and friends via PayPal instead of goods and services. If throwing a plate down and acting abhorrently is the sort of service you the OWNER think is acceptable and refusing to apologise to a visibly shaken and upset customer then my advice to you is hang up your apron now! If our experience is anything to go by, the owner/staff clearly have ZERO customer service skills or people skills for that matter and without doubt what was our FIRST visit is definitely our LAST!!! I would avoid it like the plague!! I wish to god I had read the reviews left by people before we booked!!! An afternoon tea for 4 people at a cost of £10.95 each where the following was advertised, which I thought at the time was reasonable and then getting what you can see in the first photograph...remember this is for 4 PEOPLE!“Midi Afternoon Tea-Savoury only-cheese & pickle, ham & tomato, tuna & cucumber triangle sandwiches, mini quiches, pork pie, crisps, scone with cream and jam, unlimited tea and or Americano-10.95pp”. If only we had received what we had paid for! When our food started to arrive, it was anything but delightful and when placing one small cake stand onto our table the owner began to explain that the fillings of the sandwiches weren’t the same that had been stated as people had been complaining about them. She also apologised for it taking a while to come to the table, which we said there was no issue. The stand looked like it was for 2 people, so we were waiting for her to bring the other, she clearly became offended when asked if she was bringing out another one as our booking was for 4. She explained that for £43.90 you got 16 triangle sandwiches, pork pie, mini quiches, crisps and coleslaw and a scone with jam and cream. What we got were were 14 triangle sandwiches that weren’t even the size of a normal slice of bread. We got 2 bite size pork pies cut into half. 1 mini quiche cut into 4. 1 small ramekin of coleslaw. 1 small ramekin of crisps, again this is for 4 PEOPLE!! I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect what you have paid for and not to be misled by a business! £43.90. I could have provided a buffet for that!! What then escalated is nothing short of a Jeremy Beadle Prank!! Never in my life have I/we ever experienced anything like it nor do I/we intend to again!! You think you are helping a struggling business and then you are treated like utter dirt and it makes you realise their business is struggling not because of having no passing trade but because of their actions!!

Great service, warm welcome with family atmosphere. Cater for my special dietary requirements of gluten free milk free and decaf too. Easy parking disabled easy access. Recommended to all. Xx

Lovely cakes and hot food nice milkshakes and coffees. Big variety in cakes they also let dogs in which is a big bonus for me. They do lovely scones and high teas

We visited this cafe for coffee and cake one afternoon recently. Gorgeous food and nice coffee, excellent customer service. I was so impressed I ordered a cake for my wife's birthday. It was made to my requirements and was a wonderful addition to her birthday celebration. This place comes highly recommended.

Been for the first time today staff are lovely and food was beautiful.

We booked a baby shower afternoon tea for 20+ people paying £16 each. We were served sandwiches, quiche, a bowl of crisps (literally a handful for 4 people!) and some salad. Expected a little more for the price paid. One of the party had to leave early so asked for her cake and scone to takeaway. She was a given a plain dry scone - no jam or cream. Surely this wouldn’t be served normally for takeaway?Another lady was made to pay for an alternative drink because she didn’t like tea or coffee - for £16 you’d expect one complimentary alternative!When leaving we were asked to pay an extra £16 for a late add on but no refund given for the 3 that didn’t turn up that had paid in full???I have been looking forward to going to Marmalade Hut for months and was so disappointed. I definitely won’t be going back!

Fab first visit. Having lived nearby I'd heard many good things about this place. Finally got to experience it. Wasn't disappointed at all. Really enjoyed our hot drinks and cakes. The friendly customer service was fab. Will definitely return soon

Been following for months on Instagram and so wanted to try this place. Me and my friend were havin a catch up and the marmalade hut was where we decided. I’m so glad we did lovely spacious place with friendly kind helpful staff. Beautiful cakes n could smell the scones cooking mmmm. Was well impressed with amount we got then our scones came so gorgeous and fresh and we continued chatting with more tea and coffee totally not thinking of cake when the young lady came and asked if was ready for our cake or would we like to take it home which is what we opted for. So chose our cake and was quickly presented with them. Lovely people fab place and will definitely returning. There are 3 types of afternoon tea and you have to book for them. Worth every penny.

This place is amazing it's so big inside and the owner is so thoughtful, she put together something that's not on the menu and would do that for anyone. Her cakes are out of this world and is just like to say thank you!!!!

Cannot recommend this place enough. Visited with mum for coffee and some cake and shared a Cake Array platter to sample a mix of their amazing cakes and it was fab! So tasty, all homemade and beautifully presented. Seriously impressed and the staff couldn’t have been nicer, will certainly be returning and recommending to friends!

We love this place the food is 5* as well as the service. Well worth the money. We will definatly be back.

Good value lovely food. Pot of tea gave me three and a half cups. The staff are friendly and were great with my grandson they brought him paper and crayons which he loved.

Could not decide whether this place was a shop a cafe or a nursery. It was very cold the only heater we could see was placed on top of a cupboard tables too close together coffee nice but expensive better to go in the pub oposite nice and warm and much cheaper coffee. Will not go again.

Wofe went in here with here mum and our baby at 2.45 and as soon as entered was informed quite rudely by the girl that were shuttung at 3.30 and not doing food, so they didn't bother. This was a shame as they do cakes to die for and on a number of occasions she has visited with friends with babies for drinks and cakes as the environment is relaxed and welcoming normally. Unfortunately one bad visit has made to have second thoughts on here in future trips out.

Lovely atmosphere for coffee and cake

Went to my nieces baby shower today. It's the first time I have been here. What a lovely surprise a hidden away jewel. The atmosphere was wonderful the food brilliant and the staff couldn't do enough for us. I will definitely visit again and tell all my friends. Cannot wait for 2018 as they are going to do craft sessions. Well worth a visit.

My daughter held her Baby Shower here and the afternoon was wonderful. April the owner (I guess), allowed us to decorate the venue with our banners and bunting before the event which was great. We arrived 30 minutes early and were met by April who along with another lady were setting everything up for the 36 guests we had coming.

Lovely place for a birthday celebration, the staff made us so welcome and cooked me up a vegan meal especially. Family friendly and great coffee/homemade food, highly recommended!

Very good service with great food

Came here for afternoon tea. The waitress was lovely and the setting was adorable. We had a selection of sandwiches and wraps. The scones however were the show stopper. I have never seen them so big. The only downside more clotted cream for them. Had to take the cake home as I couldn't manage any more a d it was worth the wait. Will be back.

A really nice selection of cakes and the drinks were good too. The staff were very friendly. It can get quite busy and so sometimes it can take some time for your order to be taken. This isn't a place for a quick drink though, much better to stay for a while. It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside and there are lots of tables, sofas and toys for young kids. Every time we've been it has been busy with groups of mums and babies.

Popped in on a very wet afternoon for a coffee and a bite to eat. Very friendly owner who makes you feel right at home. Lovely food, coffee and cakes so definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

3 generations from aged between 54 to 2years visited and really enjoyed it. The food was nice and when asked for extra tea jam ect it was no trouble. Great space and nice for the children as we didn't have to worry about the noise they made.

Visited with family. Lovely food but service is quite slow considering there were only a couple of tables occupied.

A large spacious friendly tea room. We did have to wait quite a while for just a pot of tea for two but when it came it was in a large china pot with extra hot water which made up for it. The cakes looked lovely but not on the menu for us today. It took us a little while to find as it seems to be in the middle of housing area so we found it by sat nav and not on a passing through route.

You really need MORE staff. Our order came in 2 parts some receiving drinks others waiting food. A helpful tip: if you are running a pizza making club you really need a staff member to just run that activity. I noticed stepping stones staff ended up running it at first. You really can not expect people to wait if they have booked onto do the activity because the other club has over ran which wasn't your fault. Plus think of the general public who just want to come and chill and have a drink with friends...
