My sister and I rate taste look and amazing customer service I've recently had a massive stroke and multiple head injuries and I use a power chair the staff have a ramp which they happily put at the door so I can eat in if not good weather also I recommend to other wheelchair users as is spacious inside definitely 10/10 for service and price 💯 rating for taste and friendly helpful owners I've also been for fish and chips with my partner which we both really enjoyed my friend Anthony and his family used to get takeaway and I always used to get cod roe which is the best in Gravesend and portion sizes are awesome

Didnt recive what i ordered and the large portion of chips was anything but large

I had a terrible sized portion of cod & chips, it’s the third time they’ve given me a ridiculous amount of food now. Maybe the first and second time was bad luck, but it seems to be their way. The last time I got chips from there I ordered large, it’s was like a child’s size, I was meant to share them with my work colleague, but that didn’t happen, I was going to return them and get chips with my salt & vinegar. They need to sort it out otherwise people will avoid it and go elsewhere, it’s literally a joke in there.

Large cod was more like a medium. Chips were child size portions. Can’t say we’ll be ordering from here again that’s for sure.

Portion sizes were not what they said we got medium was more of a small .. fish was bland and the "batter" was more like a microwave fish .. thought we would try it as never ordered from here before 😕

I ordered medium and large chips plus a spring roll and hot dog to take away. I got home and the spring roll wasn’t in the bag and I wasn’t going to drive back there. Despite ordering medium and large chips both portions were the same size and very tiny, more like childs size. The large was meant to be for two children but as it was such a small amount I used both potions for two children. So I never had any plus I never had my spring roll either. Considering the large was tiny I dread to think what the small size would be like? 5 chips? Won’t be going again as the portion sizes are far to small and I paid 2.95 for something I didn’t receive. I felt ripped off. Sort it out Marlin Plaice & stop giving child portions.

Food was absolutley delcicious, the southern fried potatoes were amazing . Overall fanastic food and great timing and food was hot !!

Tried a few fish and chip shop deliveries and this is the best for taste and batter crispness

Food was out with driver for 40 mins. Was not even in a heat bag when brought to the door, just a thin paper bag. Stone cold. Unacceptable as this is a good chippy in the town so very disappointed.

This restaurant is so cheap in comparison to any restaurant i’ve been to. This restaurant definitely prioritises quality and quantity which is rare. The food is made with love and you can tell - best reason to support and visit family run small businesses 💕

The portion of chips was miniscule, with approx 20 chips. I thought it was a joke at first and expected to find the rest of underneath the paper somewhere. Two very small pieces of chicken, a leg with barely any meal on it. The third piece was a fish cake. All this for nearly 10 quid. Very disappointed as this is the only chippy in Gravesend I use as I consider it the best, but won't order for delivery again as wholly disatisfied with the contents of the meal.

Food was ok, nothing special, fish was a bit too greasy which made it become soggy.

Fast and hot delivery. Great to be offered small chips, few fish shops do. Everything very tasty and good value. Certainly use again.

Special offer meal during the week, two sizes both of which are very good value. Freshly cooked and followed by a nice cuppa tea. Worth a visit.

Best fish and chips in Gravesend . We have fish and chips delivered on a fairly regular basis. Usually around 40 portions. They are always got and very tasty. Decided to try the curry. Had 30 portions delivered. Excellent, everyone enjoyed it. Nothing is too much trouble for Wayne and his wife. A lovely couple. Here's to many more enjoyable meals 😀

Have this place 5* originally, but my experience today does not warrant such a grade. The fish was freshly cooked and lovely, but the chips were almost cold, and very evidently left over from lunch time. Delightful staff, but this cannot compensate for mediocre sausage (also only luke warm) and recycled chips. Disappointing. Back to the Reliance Fish Bar next time.

Undoubtably the best fish n chip restaurant and takeaway in gravesend... been many times before never disappointed . Recommend to anyone.

Lovely visit, service is very friendly and warm and my daughter demolished her sausage! Will be visiting again soon, the marlin is definitely one of our favourites.

Service was fine, but the meal was awful. We had an all day breakfast with coffee. The food had black bits all over it and obviously has been cooked in dirty oil. And it cost £15! Save your money, bad value, bad meal.

I have been coming to this fine fish and chips restaurant for a good couple of years . I have not been disappointed even once , Lovely husband and wife team , always go out of their to make sure you enjoy your dining experience.......

First time I've been here went on a recommendation of a neighbour, she was right very very good fish and chips, we had the lunchtime special (cod chips and a cup of tea or coffee for £5,I expected a smaller portion for that price but no it was a plateful a good sized portion of nicely battered fish and a fair sized portion of freshly fried tasty chips ,all cooked to perfection, we will definitely go there again.

A return visit to this wonderful restaurant. The service was quick and efficient..... and the cod and chips was very tasty..... freshly cooked too.

was there again Friday evening brilliant meal lots of everything the fish was loverly the chips very moreish and a nice hot cuppa we had the curry roll as a side dish very tasty and to finish we had the pineapple fritter sweet with ice cream a must with the meal this is one of th best fish shops we have ever been to

As usual perfectly cooked fish to order . One of our friends had a grilled haddock . Was very impressed with this healthy option. Service was great aswell .... Well recommended to anyone.

what a great place we have found its a treasure to go out and find a reasonable fish and chip restaurant where the staff are pleasant the food is the best we had and the shop is so clean lots of seating the food is so fresh and this is a must try place we cant find any fault with this fish and chip shop thanks marlin

A friendly place that I'd thoroughly recommend. The eat-in deal of fish & chips with coffee or tea for a fiver is well worth the money. The cod was particularly enjoyable.

Go there on a friday eve - cod and chips cup of tea eat in £ 5.00 you cant go wrong.Very good service fish is cooked fresh excellent value for money - you can go large if you wish - where can you eat and a cup of tea for four for £ 20.00 and sit in

Friendly staff, good well cooked food, nothing to much trouble. Okay it's not the ritz or a Michelin star place, but if you want honest food served by honest people in a clean restaurant then you'll not go wrong if you eat here. I've eaten here and had takeaway on a number of occasions, love it all the time.

I have noticed the shop has recently been under new management and can honestly say the food is up to a very high standard and has improved much more from the previous manager. The setting is more lively, customer service are always polite and food was delicious. I have been a consistent costumer since the opening of 'The Marlin Plaice' and will defo recommend to others!

A recent change of ownership has ruined this once fine chip shop! The previous owner cooked his food to perfection and in generous potions to. I've a regular customer there for 2yrs+. I noticed it had was "shut for refurb" for a few weeks and went back tonight. The owner had changed, the prices were the same but standards had slipped alarmingly. The food was quite frankly vile and inedible. Even my cats turned they're collective noses up at the fish where usually I'm fighting them off. AVOID.

Popped into the Marlin for Fish & Chips and I have to say the food was surprisingly good! The premisis itself needs updating and is very dark but I could not fault the Food.I went in on a saterday lunch time and was the only person sitting in there but i did not mind that.I will go back
