Best fish and chips I’ve had. Been coming here since I was a kid. This place is 8 miles from where I live, and I pass 4 chip shops on route to it which are no good. These places are few and far between nowadays for some reason.

The far too generous portion of chips has lead to food waste.

The food has not been delivered.

Too expensive, extra charges not needed, service charge?.????

Best Cod & Chips I've ever tasted. I waited 12 minutes for the food, it was worth the wait the cod was battered to a minimum the Chips were not oily and worth every penny I'm not sure if any other chip can cook better in Gravesend

My eldest son Simon & daughter-in-law Lyn bought me out for eats and that was my 1st visit to you since my dear husband Harry sadly passed away 3 years ago, I chose the Reliance Fish Restaurant as my choice, as Harry and I used to fairly regularly vidit for the lovely fish & chips, ice cream and a cup of tea. 😀 It was very nice to return, nice food as always and to see Jack again. I'm unsure if he remembered me or not, but the 3 of us spent some time holiday chatting with him. We had a lovely time at the Reliance Fish Restaurant and will be back soon.

Great chippy, great food and with wife being celiac having great gluten free options, extremely friendly and lovely owners

I haven't been to this fish restaurant in over 40 years, it still looks the same although the old salt and sugar pots have changed. They used to be very similar and plenty of children have ended up putting sugar on their fish and chips. Anyway back to today, I had cod and chips. The cod was tasty and had a very light crispy batter and perfectly cooked chips. As good as I had remembered.

They said they were gluten free and there was gluten batter in the chips. When I spoke to them directly all I got was a “sorry about that”. It just is not good enough with coeliac disease. It is extremely painful and permanently scarring. I had already eaten two of the chips when I found it. It’s just really unacceptable. I won’t be back as it is not worth the risk. I just hope they see this and make sure to take better measures and they are accredited. Which clearly they should not have. If this is done then the “sorry about that” is okay because it prevents another accident.

Very disappointed as the batter on the cod & cod roe was soggy and wasn’t cooked enough. Also most of the chips were hard and didn’t seem fresh

This is the second time I come to this chip shop and again frustrated me, i dunno about anyone else but a saveloy should be soft and easy to bite through not shrivelled, crispy and solid, it ruins the texture of the saveloy. It generally looks like I’ve been served a Peperami, the chips was also dry even after asking them to put vinegar on them. I live a 2 minute walk from them but now will rather drive 15 minutes to a different chip shop

food is good delivery person was horrible and walked past us twice before they relised and when i asked why they didn't call the words were "i don't speak english"

Was on a Monday early evening so quite quiet but food really lovely and plenty of it. Catered for gluten free for a member of our party.

Went to George Michael evening and he was fabulous. Great atmosphere due mainly to owner getting Involved Service excellent. Not a lot of choice on wine. Not a great deal of room at tables but as soon as act came on everyone up dancing. The smallest loo I’ve ever seen accessed through kitchen / but did the job. We’ll be back

There was 11 of us he managed to seat us all together, food all arrived piping hot at the same time. With just 2 men working they were amazing, drinks followed very quickly. Food was lovely fish was fresh white and big flakes. Chips were tasty who could ask for more.

the batter was like a concrete mix that became violent. i think there was a tiny Huss there somewhere. At least the Battered mushrooms came in handy. will make great ammunition for my catapult. Cant believe i had to pay for that meal. They should be paying me to eat it.

Top Knot Nosh, This is a Fantastic Restaurant with Brilliant Staff, Food is cooked to order & no request is refused-If it is possible! I also recommend the Excellent Entertainment that is put on throughout the year from West End Shows -& Stars in Their Eyes Performers. Please make sure you visit experience for yourself.

The driver drove up and down the road and roads either side of the road I live in. The food was cold by the time he delivered. He knit found me after shouting and chasing after him.

Totally awful, phoned restaurant who advised driver had picked up 20mins prior, was then delivered after another 40mins, so just eat driver, just eat service totally rubbish! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

We were at Relience fish restaurant on Saturday 11 November for Tina Turner tribute act had an absolutely great time best fish and chips ever Jack Helen and all the staff are brilliant polite can't do enough for you going back next week thank you Jack for the complimentary wine you didn't have to do that but that's you all over I know we didn't have the tables we normally have but that's because we were the last ones to book so that was down to us not you but we still had a great time ,Sue B

Wow what an amazing night, the restaurant was packed out and the atmosphere was amazing. Tina Turner did not disappoint although we were not in the centre of all the action Tina graced us with her presence where we were sat and had the chance to get up and dance with her and really felt involved in the entertainment. The food was great and the complementary bottle of Procesco a bonus. Can't wait to return thanks to all the staff for their amazing hard work and attentiveness.

Well we booked a table in good time in the Centre of the restaurant so we could all sit together .What did we get !! other people who booked later ignored their seats in the cubby hole at the back which could see very little of the brilliant Tina Turner. So we saw pretty much nothing and the night was completely spoilt .I We will not be going again Get a bigger restaurant!!!

Food was sadly cold, chips were soggy. Fish obviously frozen as wasn’t a meaty fresh quality as haddock should be. Unfortunately mushy peas were more like a pea soup, a few peas in a very watery liquid. Haven’t eaten here or ordered for a long time, sadly disappointed.

Just had the most wonderful fish and chips. The fish was cooked to perfection, translucent (masterchef worthy) hot, flavourful, fabulous. Batter thin and crispy and so, so delicious. Mushy peas yum, fresh bread tasty too , not bland like most breads (freshly delivered daily). Would definitely recommend to come here , plus lots of tribute nights coming up too.

My Wife and I paid a memorable visit to this Restaurant and we were both impressed. It had great service, a lovely atmosphere and outstanding food - the Fish & Chips were the best that I've tried in many years.

After many years, I returned to enjoy my favourite Cod and chips. The restaurant is known for its award achievements in Kent.

We visited last week and this cosy friendly fish and chip shop with restaurant was great. Large cod and chips freshly fried and delicious. Will revisit soon.

Nice enough meal though it was nothing particularly special either at the price. Fish cooked nicely in very thin batter. Personally I prefer a thicker batter but it was wholesome, moist and tasty. Chips were not as chip shoppy as I hoped and had lots of black bits to boot. Must admit we were all intrigued by the variety of singing impersonators a couple of times a month, last night being Elvis Mario's turn.

We have 3 coeliacs in our family and If we come here we are all able to eat. Best restaurant for gluten free in Kent! Battered fish , sausage, halloumi, gluten free chips and curry sauce. Better than a 5 star fancy restaurant. Food is fresh and delicious every time. Jack, the manager is very helpful and can't do enough to keep us safe with our meal. My daughter is 9 and coeliac, to be able to order food from a normal menu and be safe is a real delight. Thanks Jack and Reliance for making a little girl happy.

Cozy setup in the City Centre. The fish and chips were decent. The portion sizes were more than suitable. The fish was like a slab lol. Had the scampi as well, it was good.

Great food, Crispy batter, Gorgeous chips.. Was slightly delayed on delivery but not driver or restaurants fault I stupidly ordered just before the England game. Reliance is always my go to when Fish & Chips are needed.

Our food turned up 2 hours late. The delivery person was in tears when they turned up she didn't speak good English just kept saying GPS not good the map said she was going the wrong way. I felt sorry for her but this is wrong... Our food was soggy no taste. If I call just Eat you charge £6 per min. Cost over £30 for the worst meal I've ever had. The food from the restaurant is generally good. Not sure what happened in transit....Don't think I'll use Just Eat again anymore!
