Great good &service Especially loved the mushroom starters

Our dinner was delicious in this charming London Pub. The food and ale was on point. Annalisa made the evening exceptional with her knowledge of the menu, excellent service and charm. We highly recommend this location!

We had a lovely experience at The Market Tavern. Truly a classic pub experience for those from out of town. All the main dishes were lovely and cooked to perfection! If I were you, I’d try dessert elsewhere. Their offerings were still good, nonetheless. Most of all! Our server Annacisa was a dream! I have a gluten allergy and she was thorough in her explanation of the menu and potential cross contamination. A true joy. Stop by next time you’re near Westminster!

The roasted Aubergine with arugula, a yogurt sauce, and cranberry accents was delicious. Diverse and masterful menu. Service was provided by Annalise who was charming, informed, and attentive. She made the experience especially good.

Esta taberna era absolutamente el mejor! Cuando llegamos no tenían una mesa para cuatro disponibles, pero fueron capaces de acomodarnos. Dos jóvenes aceptaron pasar a una mesa más pequeña para nosotros - y una ventaja fue que tuvimos la suerte de conocerlos también! El personal era amable y atento. ¡JJ fue fabuloso! Todos pedimos el pescado con patatas fritas que estaba delicioso. Recomiendo encarecidamente parar aquí si estás en la zona.

A beautiful pub in Shepherds Market. I came here for dinner on a Monday evening. It wasn’t too busy. I had a starter (chicken skewers), a main (steak) and a glass of Merlot (approx. £40).

Dos adultos y un perro tuvieron un domingo temprano por la noche asado de carne y fue perfecto. Kamila incluso llegó con un tazón de perro mientras nos sentábamos y siempre parecía estar un paso por delante de nosotros con servicio. Era maravillosa. Esta fue nuestra primera vez en The Market Tavern y no será la última.

Un restaurant que je recommande, nous étions en couple à Londres. Sommes tombés dessus par hasard. La serveuse Kamila d’une extrême bienveillance et de bon conseil quand au choix a faire. L’intérieur simple mais chaleureux, typiquement British Nous avions le repas typique fêtes des mères britanniques (30 mars 2025). Le “Sunday roast” simple mais bon et les prix tout à fais abordables pour l’endroit Merci

What a great afternoon spent with my wife and friends at the Market tavern. We found this place walking around the London streets and with its charming exterior we decided to stop for a drink. The atmosphere was great and after the first drink we engaged in conversation with Annalisa the manager, the service was on point and she gave us great suggestions for food - we ended up spending 5 hours of only 2 days in London at the Market Tavern. Highly recommend this place if you wish to have a great experience in the heart of Mayfair!!!

Market tavern, the place to go! Fabulous drinks list, delicious Mescalita cocktail, French red, and a Guinness, really there is something for everyone. If you haven’t met Angela, you should make a trip to the ladies, I felt warm and fuzzies when I read this sign in the ladies toilets. Not only does the tavern feel like a second home with exceptional service from the manager Annalisa, there is support for ANY women who may be visiting the tavern and feel vulnerable. Angela is who you ask for if you’re ever on a tinder date and you don’t feel safe, all you have to do is communicate with the bartender and they will discreetly help you! This is the only place over ever seen this! Great great job Market Tavern we will be back!

Very much your local neighbourhood pub. Nothing that stands out either way, and the smell from the toilets are like expected.

Another pub in Shepherd market that does not disappoint! We had a reservation for Monday evening, but the place was not busy. I order just main - wild boar sausages- and it was delicious! Also had a glass of Merlot wine. My company had a chicken skewer as starter and steak as main, and he was also happy with his choice. They also offer set menu for 24£, please ask. Overall, I really enjoyed my dinner. It is nice and clean pub and staff is friendly.

We had a really great Sunday lunch at the market tavern - we were in a big group, Kamila was really helpful and accommodating, and everybody’s food was excellent.

Ambiente cálido y agradable, personal atento, servicio rápido y aplicaciones excepcionales, carta de vinos y entradas! Los dos pedimos el Wellington Beef y fue excelente. Sin duda volvería.

Atmosphere is really wonderful! The staff were very helpful and well presented. It’s in a lovely quiet area, definitely worth the trip. We came straight from Winter Wonderland, only a 10 minute walk and well worth it!!

We had the roast dinner and the fish and chips, both meals were delicious and large in size. The Atmosphere was amazing and Kamila, our waitress, was wonderful and made us all feel relaxed and happy. We will return for sure

Cené anoche con un amigo. La comida era muy buena relación calidad-precio, pero después, cuando había regresado a mi hotel, me di cuenta de que había olvidado mi pasaporte en el restaurante. Tuve un vuelo temprano al día siguiente, así que era urgente. Llamé al pub, y un empleado llamado Jacob fue tan amable de entregármelo, así que fue una experiencia muy positiva.

Kamila was our server and she was fantastic - we had a large group and she was always on hand to help with a huge smile on her face. Would definitely come here again because she made the experience fantastic

Almuerzo con 2 amigas hoy. Reservamos una mesa a la 1 para el almuerzo. El menú tiene algo de la comida clásica del pub (hamburguesa, pescado con patatas fritas), pero también algunas cosas diferentes - lingüina de langostinos y cangrejos, ensalada de pato y hoy en día los especiales incluyen vientre de cerdo. Todos tuvimos pollo milanés, el pollo estaba jugoso y bien desmigado. Anna nos cuidó bien, comprobando si necesitamos más bebidas y que todo estaba bien, que era. A medida que avanzaba la tarde, el pub estaba más ocupado, tenían más personal en la lista para que nadie pareciera esperar mucho tiempo para tomar una copa. El equipo detrás de la barra / en el piso parecía trabajar bien juntos - todos eran educados y tenían una sonrisa. Los precios son precios normales en Londres para bebidas y alimentos. Great pub for food and atmosphere

Reasonable pub - managed to get a seat on a Saturday afternoon which felt like a miracle. Some mass market IPA which was fine, one person who served me didn't seem to want to be there. A "hello" is nice.

Really love this pub when we come to Mayfair. Nicest pub in Shepherds Market by far. Frequently get a table, the drinks are quality (notably the draft beer), decent food which is good value and the staff are great.... ESPECIALLY Jay. Top mane always makes us feel welcome.

Lovely place I. Heart of Mayfair. Wine is a bit expensive for what it really is but lovely ambiance. Went on a Thursday afternoon and definitely find it annoying that you have to vacate a table for a group booking. If you think I’m being pedantic then think again, as this is regular most Thursday and Fridays. You get there, get comfortable and then have to move when the cards come out to say reserved from 6pm. Not ideal if you turn up impromptu with friends and want to make an afternoon and evening of it. There are other pubs that accommodate better and locally.

Typical tavern with above average food selection and quality. Friendly staff but it's a busy tavern so don't expect a lot of attention even if you're having table service. Clean establishment but didn't use the restroom.

First place we popped into in London. Staff was attentive and there were plenty of beers. We got fish and chips and the burger both were excellent. I would highly recommend going in when in the area

We hired the upstairs for an informal corporate event and it was perfect. The food platter was really good and Annalisa looked after us very well!

Lovely, friendly pub with good food. Slight issue with the apple and rhubarb crumble with creme anglaise - they didn't have creme anglaise and thought just putting some sorbet on top would do the trick! So custard lovers beware. But the problem was fixed with a smile when i asked, and really the service was great, especially from Anna who was so friendly and looked after us very well.

Lovely place round the corner from mine with really enthusiastic and motivated staff who care about their beers - particularly the cask ales which were on point! Tasty food and a classic relaxed Mayfair british clientele.

Hugely disappointed to return to this pub for lunch yesterday and discover it was an incredibly different proposition from our last visit. From the moment we entered, a strong, foul smell was overpowering. We moved between the bar, the seating to the left and the seating to the right but there was no escape. We left without ordering food/drinks. Such a disappointment…..

Overall a lovely lunch. They were very understaffed, just a woman and a young man. The woman seemed to be doing it all. Scallops and pasta were excellent. Also a really random plus, the bathroom seems to have been remodeled recently and it was quite lovely

Showed up at 8pm in crazy heavy rain - it was super quiet inside. They turned us away at the door because we had kids. Checked their website, and it doesn’t say adults only, and in fact mentions that they have a kids menu, so I don’t know what the heck that was all about. Not recommended. I’d recommend they at least mention their policy on their site.

Loved the fish and chips , the haddock was so tender . I enjoyed the Apple crumble as well . Great service

Location is good for locals. Typical London pub to have a drink after work. Price of beer above average and higher even relative to the City. Service is OK, not really fast but friendly. Facilities are clean and convenient.

Average London pub, it’s a bit pricey and whilst it was busy it didn’t stand out for its atmosphere. Ale drinker amongst us was not overly impressed.

Had a private party in the Chesterfield Room on the 1st floor. Everything went very smoothly from booking, pre ordering and the evening itself. We were looked after very well and nothing was too much to ask for. Service was excellent, food and drinks were excellent, as well as the atmosphere.
