Annalise looked us for the whole evening. Wonderful find in Mayfair. Will definitely be back!!

Lovely place I. Heart of Mayfair. Wine is a bit expensive for what it really is but lovely ambiance. Went on a Thursday afternoon and definitely find it annoying that you have to vacate a table for a group booking. If you think I’m being pedantic then think again, as this is regular most Thursday and Fridays. You get there, get comfortable and then have to move when the cards come out to say reserved from 6pm. Not ideal if you turn up impromptu with friends and want to make an afternoon and evening of it. There are other pubs that accommodate better and locally.

Month-watering food! Kamila the waitress was pleasant, friendly and very engaging! She made us feel so welcome! I highly recommend The Market Tavern and their fabulous team!

Typical tavern with above average food selection and quality. Friendly staff but it's a busy tavern so don't expect a lot of attention even if you're having table service. Clean establishment but didn't use the restroom.

First place we popped into in London. Staff was attentive and there were plenty of beers. We got fish and chips and the burger both were excellent. I would highly recommend going in when in the area

We hired the upstairs for an informal corporate event and it was perfect. The food platter was really good and Annalisa looked after us very well!

Food was great! Service was better. Kamila is an excellent server. The fish and chips were made with fresh Haddock - so good! And the scallops were great too! Highly recommend

Lovely, friendly pub with good food. Slight issue with the apple and rhubarb crumble with creme anglaise - they didn't have creme anglaise and thought just putting some sorbet on top would do the trick! So custard lovers beware. But the problem was fixed with a smile when i asked, and really the service was great, especially from Anna who was so friendly and looked after us very well.

Lovely place round the corner from mine with really enthusiastic and motivated staff who care about their beers - particularly the cask ales which were on point! Tasty food and a classic relaxed Mayfair british clientele.

Hugely disappointed to return to this pub for lunch yesterday and discover it was an incredibly different proposition from our last visit. From the moment we entered, a strong, foul smell was overpowering. We moved between the bar, the seating to the left and the seating to the right but there was no escape. We left without ordering food/drinks. Such a disappointment…..

Overall a lovely lunch. They were very understaffed, just a woman and a young man. The woman seemed to be doing it all. Scallops and pasta were excellent. Also a really random plus, the bathroom seems to have been remodeled recently and it was quite lovely

Showed up at 8pm in crazy heavy rain - it was super quiet inside. They turned us away at the door because we had kids. Checked their website, and it doesn’t say adults only, and in fact mentions that they have a kids menu, so I don’t know what the heck that was all about. Not recommended. I’d recommend they at least mention their policy on their site.

This place is amazing! The food, service, and atmosphere are all top notch! Kamila is especially wonderful! She will make you feel right at home! Would absolutely recommend this place!

Good pub snuck away with well stocked bar and wholesome traditional food upstairs. Customer experience would benefit from either fans or better Aircon was only noticeable downside.

Location is good for locals. Typical London pub to have a drink after work. Price of beer above average and higher even relative to the City. Service is OK, not really fast but friendly. Facilities are clean and convenient.

Average London pub, it’s a bit pricey and whilst it was busy it didn’t stand out for its atmosphere. Ale drinker amongst us was not overly impressed.

Had a private party in the Chesterfield Room on the 1st floor. Everything went very smoothly from booking, pre ordering and the evening itself. We were looked after very well and nothing was too much to ask for. Service was excellent, food and drinks were excellent, as well as the atmosphere.

Very nice and welcoming place, friendly and helpful staff. I've had the best fish & chips here these days. Frequented mainly by locals, not tourists. Prices in London average. Absolutely recommended.

Found by chance, we ate well and drank even better! The place is welcoming, excellent service, we were served by Anna who was very kind and made us feel at home!

The best Christmas lunch ever! It was perfection!

Liked the informality, liked the lack of ‘preciousness’ about being in the heart of Mayfair. I’m sure the Tavern does an excellent trade in this area for those who want a good thoughtful menu, served by friendly staff at a reasonable price. The only thing I might suggest is more vegetarian main dishes. Some meat-eaters are happy to cross over occasionally.

Great food, very quick and attentive

Returning after about 18 months the friendly atmosphere was immediately apparent. Wecolming efficient staff, comfortable decor and well above average pub fare make this a most agreeable place to meet, drink and eat. Set in a historic building in the mids of the buzzy Sheperd Market adds to the pleasure of a visit.

Jay was amazing! He took a party of seven when they were very busy and provided fantastic service! We will be visiting whenever we’re in London!

This pub was a pleasant surprise after a morning of wandering around Mayfair! The shepherd's pie and fish and chips were some of the best we've had in London pubs. In spite of it being the lunchtime rush, the staff were very attentive. Jay in particular was helpful and engaging. It was a pleasure to be charmed into a lovely plate of fish and chips. We will definitely being going back for more.

Really good little gem and not so expensive as other places to eat closeby. I had the sausages and savoy cabbage mash served with gravy on the side, at lunchtime. Cost £16.50. It's a nice pub restaurant. Staff really friendly and nice too.

Awful sewer type smell inside which seems to come from the toilets or drains. I visited in January and it was the same if not worse then. Can't believe the issue is not resolved given it is now mid March. Had to stand outside. To be fair, they do have covered areas and heating but still not ideal. Wanted to have food but smell was off putting so went elsewhere.

Friendly place with very tasty food. We are been accommodated and served by Kama, solar kind of person, smiley and professional, always careful to our necessities. I hope to come again to the Market Tavern, because our own experience has been very positive.

Went there tonight with my girlfriend! It was packed at 7:30 pm. Had the Shepherd’s Pie which was really good!

This is the 3rd time we’ve been back to the Market Tavern for our team evening dinner, and yet again it was lovely. Really nice food (great new menu), and the service couldn’t have been more attentive. We were a group of 20, and so they put us (at no extra charge) in their private room, which has a dedicated bar, and we were given a dedicated member of staff to look after us. Good value too - worked out at just over £60/head for 3 courses with wine and pre-dinner drinks. Look forward to returning next year.

We wandered in here on a whim. The service was great and the food was honestly delicious. The salads were large and filling, and even the typical vegan burger was just more tasty than usual. Would go back!

I visited The Market Tavern on Saturday 3rd February 2024 to meet up with a special group of friends who want to learn to like flying. A great time was had by all. This is a great pub. We had a work party in the space upstairs and the atmosphere was great! The food was excellent with something for everyone. Good quality booze and really helpful and friendly staff.

Great pub. Used it for a work event in the Chesterfield Room. Food was really tasty and plentiful with good selection of vegetarian options with the buffet food as well as non-vegetarian. Staff very attentive. Would definitely book it again.

Had a vegetarian roast which was nice. The service was amazing / the lady who served us was so nice. Well worth a visit! We will be back.

The food, drinks, and desserts were fantastic! The service was friendly and quite accommodating. Both the Steak and Ale Pie and Shepard's Pie were amazing, my wife and I loved our meals.

It's ok. Overpriced as you'd expect. More restaurant than pub. Average beer selection, but had a nice pint of Purity for an eye watering £7.

We came across this lovely pub serving very good festive meals. Turkey dinner was excellent, freshly cooked, carved turkey, veg and gravy. You have to book before with £10 deposit. Well worth the cost. Would definitely visit again for Christmas lunch.
