The girls serving us were very welcoming and friendly. The food was served promptly after ordering. The food was excellent and good value for money. We would go again.

Our group was booked for a Christmas lunch. Table set with crackers etc and looking festive but ..... not Christmas lunch on the menu! As it was, taking separate bookings for 20-30 people resulted in the food taking a long time to appear. No excuse for this. We were not impressed to say the least.

Locale molto tranquillo con buon servizio. Piatti tipici, abbondanti e gustosi. Ottima scelta di birre.

Ate here whilst staying at the hotel. The menu was varied with plenty of choices, I only had a couple of basic meals (my choice) bit there was plenty of food on the plate & it was good quality, which is what I look for in a bar meal. There were a number of specials separate from the menu, which had I been staying longer I would have given a go as I expect that they, like the meals I had would have been excellent. The staff were very helpful & attentive without being overbearing.

Hotel : all work men and very noisy. Couldn’t sleep the whole night. The walls are really thin. Pub and restaurant are really nice. The staff is really friendly. For the food I would come back but stay somewhere else.

I ate here one night whilst staying at the hotel. The staff and customers are friendly. It was a basic pub menu but there were some more interesting specials. My fish and chips was fine, ample portion and well presented. The dining area was part of the area and again very basic. No complaints however.

A pleasant lunch time drink with an availability of local beers and food available to order, located at the far end of the town near the railway station. Very authentic. Nice atmosphere.

The restaurant within this hotel serves all of the typical bar food that one would expect. There is a special menu with dishes that are available for a limited period of time. The service is prompt and friendly.

I ate in the restaurant while staying at this hotel. The food is a good standard pub food at a reasonable price. Good selection on the menu and good range of drinks as it is a pub.

Staying at the nearby Dornoch Caravan and Camping site we walked into Dornoch for a meal. We chose The Coach House because it is dog friendly. We received a warm welcome by staff and locals alike along with their dogs. Our haddock and chips arrived promptly and were delicious. However, our Westie started making a fuss. One of the locals and then a member of staff offered to “dog sit” so we could enjoy our meal. Exceptional! Thanks to all involved.

This Country Hotel lacks love and attention. Outside front and sides are very tall weeds, the flower boxes were full of wilted. Car park resembles a quary.. On entering the dining room was well presented albeit I felt it chilly . Only 3 diners and we had to wait to see if we would be accommodated. We were..we sat at our table and the really lovely young server took our order limited menu and 3 choices off that evening.. Food was just OK...not value for money @ £17.95 for haddock and chips. Overall not the greatest.. I'd love to see the outside tidied up and give the hotel some road side appeal

After arriving at skye and looking for places to eat this proved a little difficult as it was out of season and places had limited opening hours. We went for Gabbro bar after seeing it on google maps. The pictures of food looked passable. After getting there having to get our own wipes to clean the table after ordering things weren't looking good, then the toilets were very rundown and like a back street bar toilets. The food then came out in baskets, lined with greaseproof paper. (Something you would expect in a arcade) Fish and chips and the macaroni and chips. Even a plate would have been acceptable even though the fish was clearly out the freezer and very greasy. To top it off a random dog was wandering around trying to smell the food on the table and pushing its way under the table to check for any food.

The fab cinnamon buns elevated our coffee stop from great to awesome! Other really yummy cakes are available. Oh, and the vegan tomato pizza swirl looked great too if you fancy a savoury.

A total shambles. Sunday carvery .couldn't eat any of the meat as mostly fat.Plates so small you can't get much else on the plate.waitress saw me trying to catch her attention and hid .eventually came over sheepish with bill and at that point looked at all the fatty meat on plate and her response was sorry about that .we then never say any staff .They had vanished into kitchen .On our way out there was a lady who had mobility issues annoyed there was no disabled access just a set of very steep stairs .£24 each for 2 courses and only starter choice was soup.Dont waste your time .
