Great basic food and good portions in pleasant surroundings with sea views. Ideal for lunch and breakfast, especially if working on your boat or stopping by.

Visited with family whilst on holiday. Great find, very good prices for when you're eating out with 7 people. Excellent food, fantastic views, beautiful outdoor area to sit and eat whilst watching the boats bobbing. Definitely coming back before we go home. Highly recommend.

Great to see oat milk Available for tea, coffee and milk shakes. Currently only a few gluten and milk free foods available. But hope to see more in the future. The family love to come here, peaceful, beautiful views, friendly and helpful staff.

What a great place. Ate there twice over the weekend we were there for a wedding. The breakfast is great. Cooked fresh with good quality ingredients. Priced right too. Staff are nice and friendly. Might have to wait 20 minutes for food but it’s not zapped in a microwave! It’s cooked to order. Worth the wait. If you want fast food go to Mc D’s. If you want a good cuppa and a big breakfast go here.

Very pleasant setting with tables inside and outside with views of the harbour and sea inlet. Food is prepared to order and our light lunch was very good. We have eaten here before and found it to be very consistent.

Stunning location great views went for breakfast. Was disappointed after eating at the Salty Dog.( No views of water and boats there). To be fair the prices are a lot cheaper at the marina and you get what you pay for. So for a basic cheap breakfast great views you can't go wrong.

Arrived here for breakfast after our first local choice was not available. Had high hopes good pricing and cracking view. But so slow, waited 40 mins for 4 X breakfasts, had to chase for cutlery which arrived dirty so had to chase again. Had to endure the owner scolding the poor waiter. The final blow was two hairs in my son's breakfast. When the owner came out it was obv up us where they came from! In fairness our complaint was managed fairly but we left with a refund and without any breakfast! Won't be back.

Lovely little cafe with very friendly service and fresh nicely prepared food. Very wet and windy so sat inside, but would also be a lovely spot to sit outside on a nice warm day.

1st Aug - 4 of us had lunch, for which we chose the breakfast here after fishing all morning. Sitting in the sun overlooking the marina was a brilliant location to fine and chat. What a hidden gem, we only found it because one of us was local and knew about it. Worth the drive there, we will return!

7 of us (in two separate orders) for breakfast. 1st order very quick. Second order nearly an hour - for egg on toast and two bacon rolls. Orders are placed at till and young lad needs further training and more energy. We will go again (v locally convenient) but in hope rather than expectation.

I almost don't want to write this review as I would love the Marina Café to remain a secret but it was so good they deserve a 5 star review. I have been coming down to Portwrinkle for years and this is the first, and certainly not the last, time I will go to this little gem. It was a beautiful day and the whole place just sparkled. We went for breakfast and as it was my last morning in town wit seemed like a good excuse to have a "full English. The lovely lady, I think her name was Heather was wonderful, by the hard work she puts in I think she is the owner. She appeared to be chief cook, bottle washer, waitress and even worked in the shop, all at once!!!! The breakfast she cooked and served us was delicious. The ambience of this little café could not be beaten, the views will take your breath away. I would love to go back there another time, order copious cups of tea and read a book, it is so peaceful. No trip down here again will be complete without breakfast one morning at the Marina Café. Really, Really great place!

I had seen this cafe on Facebook and as the weather was fantastic on Easter Sunday we decided to pay a visit. There is plenty of outside seating to suit everyone from sun to shade and comfy seats. It is refreshing to see a menu serving good, wholesome food. Despite it being past 2.00pm we decided to have breakfast. Everything was of great quality, hot and tasty. The large cafetière of coffee was rich and smooth and the staff friendly and helpful. The food served to other customers looked inviting and plentiful. There is also a gift shop which sells high quality items, which is an added bonus. We will definitely visit again

I came here a few years ago when I was working in Millbrook and wanted a filling lunch, absolutely loved it then. Decided to come back on Saturday to show my boyfriend how much I loved their burgers and he was not disappointed! He ordered the large breakfast and I had a cheeseburger with cheesy chips. We both felt the serving size was perfect, and I truly believe I'm going to return soon. The waitressing was really lovely too, have nothing bad to say!

I came down for the weekend to see my daughter and we visited this place. Firstly they had adverts up on the wall of milkshakes, but they no longer serve them anymore, which was disappointing for my granddaughter. The food was greesy and below average, and the service, in particular, was terrible. Our food took over 30 minutes (for a fry up) and then my daughter's food was brought 15 minutes after everyone else's. No real apology or offer of a coffee, drink or any form of reimbursement for their mistakes. When my daughter brought it up, the manager tried to start an argument with her in front of her child and other customers. Very mean, sarcastic and unprofessional. Apparently she has a reputation. I was disgusted. I would avoid it like the plague! Completely unacceptable and not worth the money or effort.

Lovely place, very friendly and helpful staff. The food is great and well priced. Views over the marina and estuary to Mount Edgecombe country park. A hidden gem on a peninsula with a fair few poor cafes.

The cafe has had a bit of a refurbish over the winter and is looking good. Food is the same high standard and the views can be stunning. I just hope they replace the 4 cup cafetiere :-). If they start to offer black pudding with breakfast they will get another star

This cafe is at Southdown marina. Where I am working on my boat for a few days. I have visited everyday for breakfast. The food has been delicious. The view is amazing. It is a tucked away, quiet, unpretentious cafe, a little gem used mainly by locals. A really nice find in an area that is geared to the tourist industry. I will be returning tomorrow.

Been here many many times and keep forgetting to leave a review! Fab location overlooking moorings, the river and along to near Mount Edgecombe. Lawn and decking areas with good choice of seating. Gradually extended seating inside over the years. Good selection of good from breakfasts, full meals, sandwiches, cakes etc. Great customer service, nothing's too much trouble.

We were on holiday and ended up eating here 3 times. We had our dog who typically was nervous in eating places so we never bothered eating out, we were given a table in the corner and asked for the same one every time which they obliged as she was settled, it helped that the staff were all so helpful and the food was so nice, would highly recommend the Pityme Inn and we will visit again, it made our holiday

The staff were very friendly. The hot drinks were alright and the cakes were alright. They didn't rush us. The whole atmosphere was really nice and lovely. I didn't have to raise my voice to speak to my boyfriend who has a hearing impairment which is a hearing aid.
