Nice pub nice beer but unfortunately the staff allow people to vape at will which is disappointing. Next they will allow full on smoking. No consideration for people with respiratory problems.

Called into this no fuss bar with a group of friends after eating in a neighbouring café. Friendly staff and clientele. Great range of beers at a reasonable price. No complaints.

I met a friend here before the Roxy Music concert and it was SO convenient, adjacent to the venue and my friend who lives in Littleborough was able to travel there easily without needing to drive. A couple of impressions, Despite a massive crowd the staff were cheerful and fast so no one had to wait long. Clearly the management is "switched on" as they played a Roxy music compilation on their sound system which created a good atmosphere. I don't think I have reviewed a bar before but this one deserved reviewing!

Chorlton is full of good bars, but the Marble Beerhouse is somewhere I keep coming back to again and again. The beers are mainly the Marble Brewery's own, in a diverse range of strengths and styles, and there are also guest beers from other breweries on both keg and cask. There are some nice bar snacks such as honey roasted peanuts and salami sticks. Bottled/canned beers can be taken home. The staff are friendly and there's often good music on the sound system, which isn't too loud.

Came here, sadly, for one pint only but what a pint and what a place. Lovely vibe to the place and the beer was fabulous. Unfortunately my diverticulitis kicked in and that was that. I will definitely return.

Great place to have a drink of traditional beer. Lot of choice. The place itself was very homely and I was made to feel welcome by total strangers. Great tasting pint as well.

A lovely local always friendly and welcoming. Staff know what I like to drink and are always eager to help and offer suggestion. They have recently been using street food stalls which has been great though definitely makes the earl grey an even more vailable evening drink

Sorry but the staff are still way too eager to close. Ringing the bell for 'last orders' at 11.38 and again for 'finished last orders' at 11.53 on a Friday when they are open until midnight smacks of the old days of 'we have your money, drink up and go'.

A pub for beer drinkers without fuss, and has kept its glazed terracotta interior. Great selection of own beers and varied menu - snacks inexpensive and satifying. Worth the fifteen minute walk from the scramble of Manchester town centre.

This is my kind of a lunchtime stop. Excellent beer selection, lovely warm friendly service and a good selection of food. We all elected for a smaller bite, one having the rarebit and 2 of us having toasted sour dough bread topped with avocado and chilli and rocket. All were beautifully presented and superb.. A place I plan to return to.

If you want quality beer you can't go wrong at the Marble. Their own beers are great I was drinking Lagonda IPA but the is a range for all tastes and guests. I tried North by South East which is a Marble collaboration with a London ( I think) brewery - also very nice. We were entertained by the cat on the barrel but didn't try any food. Highly recommended.

We came to The Marble Beer House to taste the famous Earl Grey IPA. Most of their beers are cask ales (typical of Manchester), which isn't our favorite, but the Earl Grey IPA was delicious and one of a kind (you can even smell the tea!). Not much of a party atmosphere when we were there but it was comfortable and a laid back environment. (And, as a side note, my Elderflower cider was superb)

Have been a long time fan of the marble beer house. The pints that are brewed by marble are all excellent and affordable for the quality of ale. Although the prices have shot up in price in the past 12 months it is still a great tipple. Full of characters who you will recognise time after time of visiting

They do brew their own beers but it is good quality as they are an established brewery with a European-wide reputation. Great interior, friendly staff and reportedly - from friends - awesome food - which we have yet to try since their new chef :)

Popped in for a little afternoon session and was pleasantly surprised by the new snack food menu. Some lovely platters on offer to keep you sustained whilst enjoying some of their well kept real ales. I personally enjoyed the mini ploughman's (which was more than enough to fill for lunch) and my partner enjoyed the scotch egg and chutneys. The bar staff are friendly and are knowledgeable about their beers, whilst maintaining an immaculate pub, well done and keep up the good work.

I've been here many times and the beer is generally very good as well as cheaply priced. However, I wouldn't recommend being around at the time for last orders. As soon as they stop serving the cleaning fluids are out and the chairs start being stacked on the tables. It's clear that the staff cannot wait to get home and they make it all too obvious.I returned from the loo on one occasion to find my drink had been swiped during my absence and an upturned chair plonked on the table at which I'd been sat.Sorry but that's just plain rude.

I am a regular, though not frequent, visitor to the MBH for the last hour or so on a weekday evening. It is one of the longer standing examples of the many bars to have opened in this area of Chorlton in recent years. My latest visit came as a bit of a shock as the emptyness of the usually well peopled bar was brightly illuminated by a couple of fridges that have been installed, one at each end of the bar as well as new rows of lights over the front seating area. When I was served by the barman, after he dealt with an urgent matter on his phone, the beer, I had Pint (one of their own), was as reliable and palatable as ever. The end of my visit was highlighted by the last order bell rung at 22:35 and chairs being put on tables loudly around us. (The table tops were then cleaned after the chairs had been placed on them). We persisted and placed our last order at 22:45 leaving around 23:15. The most interesting feature came as I entered the lavatory as the barman rinsed his hands then dried them by running them through his hair. I'll give it a little longer than I normally do before my next visit.

Excellently kept and very varied beer. I particularly enjoy a pint of "pint" which is an excellent light and low strength session beer My son enjoyed his stronger beers. The service was very quick and bar staff knew how to both serve the beer and handle their varied clients. Well worth a visit.

The old mill on Redhill street is beautifully refurbished and Ancoats Coffee Co held such promise with glass doors , indoor and outdoor dining space, twinkling fairy lights I chose outside in the lovely Mancunian sunshine to enjoy my cake and fresh orange drink, unfortunately this is where things start to go down hill, firstly cash is not accepted in this establishment, plastic is king, my cake looked like an appealing Madeira on its plate, I think it would have given the lovely refurbished bricks a run for their money, hard is too soft a word but not as hard as the seating, I think I am well padded in the posterior but These chairs WOW they were made of a galvanised material so to be expected but couldn’t you have invested in something soft to sit on ! Located just away from the northern Quarter on great ancoats Street this is a pub we have been using for decades and we always have a great time there. The place is full of history and it is worth a visit just to look at the ceiling alone believe it or not! This particular visit was on a sunny Thursday and the place was busy both inside and out but they still had loads of tables available. They have a fabulous range of drinks at reasonable prices and this is so varied there is definitely something for everyone. Another good thing was they always have loads of stuff on so you get served quickly and in a friendly manner. It was great to sit out in the Sun and enjoy a beer or two whilst watching the busy streets around you at the same time.

Nice relaxed space. Great cuts of steak, fresh and flavourful sauces, crisp hot fries, nice wine and cocktails. Brilliant gluten free options. And all very reasonably priced - steak, chips, sauce, and a glass of wine gave me change from £20! Well worth a casual lunch trip.
