The Maple Tree in Doncaster

Went in for a bottle of wine and meal. We were shown to a dirty table which we had to ask for it to be cleaned, picked up a menu which was very dirty and greasy. The whole place was shabby and wanted a good fettle. Not a welcoming place so we left without having anything. Won't go back.

Food was good, lots of tables needed clearing though.

We have been coming to Maple Tree for a few years now always friendly with a good atmosphere.

Friendly staff, lovely food, a nice little area for children to play and outside park for them. Makes it more bareable knowing the kids won't be bored stuck at the table whilst waiting for food

We used to come often but haven't been for a long time. The atmosphere, the staff and the food were all great. The children's play area was well equipped again, which was lovely to see as my son really enjoyed playing in there. We had a really special evening and will be returning again soon.

We always visit here for birthdays as it’s central to the family. Nice atmosphere, nice food and great deals! Friendly service! Nice touch that they have treats and water available for dogs too

We visit here at least once a week for drinks mostly but also have food regularly also. Plenty of choice and always enjoyed it. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.

Came here because we received 30% off voucher. Over an hour wait, not all the items we ordered were plated. After paying extra. But was told when the plates arrived that they didn’t have what we ordered. But still charged us and server left without an apology. Ordered medium rare steaks.. both stakes were more medium well. - - After previous visit and waiting again over an hour for food but we had melts a month ago. I’ll add only 5 tables were in. We wanted to give it 1 last chance as this is our local. Feel like the 30% off is an excuse to not plate up peoples orders due to their discount. Steaks were dreadful (picture will be uploaded) food lukewarm. Was looking forward to having a nice medium rare steak. 7:15pm order placed. 8:35pm order received.

Have been eating and drinking at the maple tree since it opened. Always lovely food at a fantastic price and lovely staff too. Can't fault it.

Maisy was really welcoming from us walking in, ordering food and the table service. The food was great and it was brought out in good time, Maisy was able to answer all the questions we had and made the experience memorable. She is a true asset.

This pub never fails to disappoint . The food was impeccable and came out quickly piping hot . The service we recieved from the waitress Maisy was second to none . She was friendly polite and very professional a true credit to to company . Thank you Maple tree .

Visited here a few times as it is my local pub for both food and drink very nice atmosphere got plenty of events going on such as quizes and even a darts night and karaoke. The food is very nice and good portion sizes too. The staff are very polite and friendly and are always more than happy to help you. Will come back here again.

We visited here the other day for some food it was brilliant. We were served by maisy and Jack, both proper kind and helpful. Food was beaut, very nice experience, would proper come again👍

Came in yesterday during the lunch service and the bar staff were incredible, really knowledgeable of the menu and the drinks, the food came out fast and hot and tasted amazing and it’s great value for money! The guy running the food Jack was such a nice guy, will recommend this pub to everyone that I know 👍🏼

Came in around 5pm on a Thursday, atmosphere was lovely, Food was very nice, our server at the bar was polite, and our food runner maisy was fast and made sure we had what we wanted. Food is affordable and good quality, would definitely come again :)

Used to be a regular here for food but had not been in a while. Decided to try again. The staff were good and the food was nice. Unfortunately I wasn't sure if I was in a pub or a kids club. With tables full of 10-13 year olds swearing and being loud with no adult supervision. Eating there own food and drink. Not what you want while have a family meal. A shame as the food was good. Hopefully will sort this in the future

We chose the Maple Tree for Sunday Lunch as we knew it was dog friendly. Excellent service at the bar and to our table. Ordered our food from the menu which had plenty of choice at reasonable prices. The meal was served quickly and was nicely presented, vegetables where cooked just right plenty of meat which was delicious. Our puppy enjoyed the free treats and water was available. A really nice family atmosphere will definitely visit again.

Pre booked as there was 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 children, loved the choice for the kids menu, as it has under 5 and over 5 choice, the main menu has a really great choice for all, there is also a separate pizza menu. Atmosphere is relaxing , it has an outside area, to sit and drink, a small kiddies play area, there is also a small play area indoors, bar staff and servers are fantastic, very accommodating. Will deffinatley be visiting again. Thank you 😊

We held our grandads wake here and it was a wonderful turnout. Friendly staff, yummy food and such a comfortable atmosphere. I would highly recommend the hunters chicken; it was superb!

I cannot praise this restaurant enough. Lovely staff and food. Beautiful inside clean and modern . But the best thing is totally DOG FRIENDLY they have water bowls treats and even a dog menu. Your dog can sit in certain areas in the restaurant too. You should be so proud and advertise more that you are the ONLY dog friendly restaurant in the Doncaster area xx Thank you so much.

Service excellent, food excellent. Pleasant atmosphere. The manager served us and she was brilliant to talk to (can't remember her name). I'd highly recommend this pub to eat out. It's family friendly and I have to say, their steaks are beautiful. Serving times were within 20 minutes of ordering which I think is outstanding considering the quality. (to date, still excellent service Jan2024)

It's a good eatery, never too busy when I've been there in the last 4 years. We don't normally have to wait long to be served. Mellow atmosphere as not to many people aroun. Decent pizza oven depending on who is the cook/chef.

Visited the maple tree over the Christmas period with family 🙂 amazing atmosphere and great food! Facilities were immaculate and the staff very friendly will be returning back soon !

I have taken mum out for lunch here twice in 3 weeks. The food has really improved here, a good lunch choice. We always enjoy comming here. Staff very friendly. Easy parking as mum unable to walk far.

Overpriced average food and the absolute audacity to ask to for a tip when paying by card, I've never seen this anywhere before, you really need to remove this.

Celebrated a friends 60th birthday with there festive 3 course menu. Booking on line was easy the food was outstanding the staff very friendly and the service great would highly recommend

We took 5 children to the Breakfast with Santa event. The staff were so accommodating and the customer service was excellent. The whole team seemed to really care that the children had a lovely Christmas experience, with extra activities (reindeer food) that we didn’t expect. Santa was fab, and took time to really talk to the children and make them feel special. It was a good price as well, we will definitely return next year

Wow! Lovely pub, totally gobsmacked I had an individual gluten free handheld menu rather than scrolling through an ipad checking 15 separate sections! An amazing choice of GF options too! Excellent service and the meals were delicious, staff courteous and friendly. I will definitely be returning.

We bring the kids for a meal here regularly as they love kids play area. Our youngest has a food allergy and Leanne always looks after us so well 😃 great service and food, will be coming back

It was a booking for my partners 60th Birthday. We needed space for wheelchair access for one guest and access to bring our servive dog in and you where very accommodating for both. You even help me when I realised I had forgot to bring candles for the cake. Excellent customer service. Food was slightly slow and we all ate at different times but it didn't matter to be fair. Food was great and we all.enjoyed our selfs

I booked a table for a working lunch to celebrate a colleague's 40th birthday, which was a surprise. The table booking process was very easy to follow. We arrived and asked the staff if we could put a couple of banners up & some table decorations. They were very accomodating. We ordered 11 separate meals which arrived quickly and the food was great, warm & tasty and good value for money which was made better by using money off vouchers a colleague had received that day. We had a cake & the staff kindly provided a lighter for the candles, a knife and serviettes for the cake to be shared. We had great service from the staff at the Maple Tree and I would definitely visit again.

I actually booked a table for 4 people and when we arrived, there was only one young man behind the bar serving drinks and taking food orders. Then a man in a white shirt appeared and asked who’s next, my husband asked for a pint of Tetleys in which the man stated very rudely. We don’t serve that. He was so bad mannered we nearly walked out then, but it was a meal for my son’s birthday, so didn’t want to find another restaurant at short notice. We said we’d booked a table for 7.30pm the man said just have a look round and find it, it will have a sign on it. I was expecting to be shown to my table. Needless to say we looked around for our name but didn’t find it. We sat at a table chose our food. The food was ok, not great, but we couldn’t stop talking about the bad service from the barman. He might’ve been the assistant manager for all we know?

Came to the Maple tree today for a spot of lunch, and wow the food, service and drinks were all perfect. A big thank you to Matt for looking after us so well.

Me and my partner went to the Maple Tree today with my Mum and our dog Daisy . Kerry always makes us feel really welcome. She was helpful and always happy and bubbly and gives us that extra customer service you dodnt get in other pubs and restaurants that we really appreciate. Always a lovely experience to go into the Maple Tree. We will carry on going on a regular basis

Had a family gathering here for 20 people. The pub is lovely the staff were brilliant, very accommodating and friendly and the food was great. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, would definitely recommend The Maple Tree.

Had a great experience. All good was lovely. Only down fall for me personally was the pizza, no pepperoni option on this day and when the pizza came, very soft and thin. Also had the chicken popcorn basket and sweet potato fries. They were so lovely

Food was nice, but came out at various times and I think they had forgot about a pizza order which came about 15 mins after us. A staff member came and said table had to be wiped as someone in our booking had a nut allergy, maybe this gud had been done before we sat. It was very busy and lack of staff behind bar had to wait over 10 mins to order drinks . A friendly atmosphere all round .

We booked a table at 5.30 pm with some friends who hadn’t visited here before. The men went to the bar to order food and drinks to find a large queue waiting to to be served and only one bar assistant working on their own taking everyone’s orders at probably the busiest time of the day! It took 20 mins to get served because of this. In my opinion, whoever thought having just the one bar assistant working on their own at such a busy time, needs to further management training! The food when it eventually arrived was ok as were the drinks but the waiting time for bar service was ridiculous and although we as regulars, who live on the estate will still visit, the experience that evening was very disappointing and has unfortunately put our friends off returning.

Came in tea time , only one lady behind bar , trying her best 12 people waiting to be served and order food , 2 large groups left , thought you were trying to build a business, absolutely terrible no management available to speak to 27th September 2023 please sort as we are locals and to see this it's so not right felt so sorry for the lady behind the bar doing her very best .

Another lovely evening at our local. Delicious food and excellent staff. Since kerry took over our local it has gone from strength to strength. The atmosphere is 5*. Matt has excellent customer service skills and can't do enough for you.

My husband and myself called in for lunch today and the welcome from all the staff was very friendly, we both had chicken tika it was tasty and served piping hot, service was quick and friendly. Compliments to the Chefs. We will definitely call again next time we are in the area.

It was for Ida show. We thought it started at 7pm and couldn't understand why time was 7pm to 8.30pm. We thought that was start and duration and could have been made clearer. Good job I didn't book taxi for return home at 8.30pm. Loved the food of chicken and fries. I expected crisps and nuts. Free drink went down a treat. Lovely pub and lovely staff.
