Food choices unclear for my allergy

As usual, the food was good and a reasonable price. This visit I was disappointed by the fact there was no decaffeinated coffee or mint tea available. The staff didn't seem particularly bothered that they could not meet our requirements. Just a short "no, we don't have any." Never mind, we drove down to Costa Lakeside after eating

Food was beautiful definitely recommended the steak and ale pie. And service was great from Bobbie Jo thank you 😊

Served by Ivy this afternoon, I'm exceptionally impressed with the service I was treated with. I was given a very warm welcome to the restaurant and I will surely be coming again!

We've always enjoyed visiting The Maple Tree. The menu is much more diverse than some of the typical pubs and having the pizza oven makes such a big difference to the dough balls and pizza! We do miss the blue cheese dough balls though :) Beyond the menu we always find the staff welcoming, polite, helpful and efficient. Harrison who waited on us today is no exception. A credit to the team there. Typically reviews tend to highlight bad service as a warning, but it is a pleasure to be able to commend wonderful service . If you find yourself in the area, please drop by, you won't be disappointed!

Good pub, like a wetherspoons but drink prices are a bit daft, almost £4.50 for a fosters

Maisy was really welcoming from us walking in, ordering food and the table service. The food was great and it was brought out in good time, Maisy was able to answer all the questions we had and made the experience memorable. She is a true asset.

We were served by a lovely young girl called Maisy who was happy smilie and very professional. She even remained calm when a rude gentleman was shouting about the time it takes to get served . Well done Maisy.

Enjoyed a family meal today, for 6 people, at the maple tree. I asked for a specific table in a quiet corner and was accommodated. I asked for some minor tweaks on the menu and again they obliged. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we will be back again soon!!

A lovely pub and the staff are lovely, especially Ivy who looked after us when we had our meal.

Service excellent, food excellent. Pleasant atmosphere. The manager served us and she was brilliant to talk to (can't remember her name). I'd highly recommend this pub to eat out. It's family friendly and I have to say, their steaks are beautiful. Serving times were within 20 minutes of ordering which I think is outstanding considering the quality. (to date, still excellent service Oct2024)

Ordered simple food. Made by simple people and served by a mute. Only took 1 whole hour for desert to be finally delivered. Stone cold. Which is perfect for sponge and custard...

Came in on Sunday for a Sunday roast and was served by maisy who was very chatty and was very knowledgeable, we had an allergy in our party and maisy went above and beyond she had so much knowledge about it and it made the person in out group feel so much better, the food and atmosphere was incredible. Will definitely be coming back again a big thank you to Maisy and everyone in the maple tree team!!

Came in with friends, had the mega mixed grill, was cooked to perfection. And the small plates. Callum, Nardia & Kerry were supper helpful and attentive. We will be back.

Popped in with my little dog absolutely fantastic place, Staff are super helpful and attentive, food is delicious and the dog enjoyed his dog biscuit from the doggy bar plus they have there own doggy menu, What a cracking place for all the family to visit for food and drink & socialising.

Had a lovely evening here outt for food and a couple of drinks , very nice food , the staff are really friendly and very helpful they provide brilliant service, if you have dogs you can bring them along , kids absaloutely loved it, would highly recommend 😀

We arrived with small kids who were excited to use the park and the play room in maple trea. Sitting close to that ment the adults could relax whilst the kids are occupied. We were able to easily order food and drink and enjoy the atmosphere

We visited here a few days ago for a birthday and we were stunned, the staff were super polite and the food was very nice. We spend around £60 and got our food quite quickly, the place wasn’t that busy so we enjoyed a nice quiet afternoon, we got our food from maisy, she was excellent, doubled checked our food was okay and she definitely knew her stuff lol! We would definitely come again

Came in for Sunday lunch yesterday, was served by Maisy on the bar who was very chatty and knowledgeable on the menu and the drinks. Food came out hot and fast, we were served by the two young girls named Connie & Ruby, both girls were very pleasant and nothing was too much hassle. Overall had an excellent meal with excellent service. Would recommend the maple tree to everyone that I know!

We had amazing service from Mea Connie

Called today for lunch with my daughter. We had a chicken pizza with maple drizzle, pulled pork nachos & salted caramel brownie. The pizza was fabulous...proper fresh dough and tasty toppings. The nachos were fabulous & the dessert was unreal 👌 We recieved fab friendly service with a smile and the surroundings were lovely and clean. I would highly recommend, many thanks Maple Tree staff we will certainly return 😀

Warm friendly surroundings, helpful, informative servers, very understanding of my wife and my disabilities. We especially appreciated that our server, Matt, asked if we were ready for our mains before bringing it out.

Came in on friday for some food and was served by a young girl named Maisy, she was able to answer all our questions and was always up for a chat, the food came out quickly and was very good value for money, big thanks to the Maple tree and to Maisy. Will definitely be coming again.

Having been regular visitors for sometime now, we have always found the Maple Tree to be popular with families, friendly and efficient staff, a varied menu and good food.

Nadia was our server and she was a delight always had a smile and helpful it was my birthday and she made it special a credit to the team

Food was fairly good, service was poor with dishes coming to the table 20 minutes apart, and some didn't arrive at all. Toilets were pretty gross, paddling through urine is not great, and the smell was atrocious

Lovely pub. Went for a last minute father's day meal and it was a great find. Will visit again.

Service very slow at the bar. Beer was "off" cloudy had to take it back. No straws to stir lime and soda. Food was below par looked like it had been reheated in a microwave, just got a feeling overall that the staff had no pride in the place, table was sticky, cutlery not clean. Won't be rushing to go back.

We saw the online menu and the online prices and thought "very reasonable". Then the Maple Tree flyer came through our letterbox stating 30% off main courses, we thought " we're on our way". We got there only to find prices higher ? Anyway, we ordered two mains. My wife's scampy tails turned out to be ? small shrimps, no tails, about 35mm long. Tiny little things. "No chips" we were told 😒. I got only 2 onion rings, the Hunters Chicken was well overdone and tough. There was a tiny amount of "mixed leaf" salad. Overall, very, very disappointing. Obviously we wont be going back again. Rubbish. Shame on you.

Poor service I’ve ever had in a pub tonight in here, I walked upto the bar, and asked the barman for a pint of San Miguel, he poured me the pint, I gave him £6 in cash before he asked for it as I know it’s £5.40.. he wakes to the till, came back, dropped 60p into my open hand, i said thank you, he, turned his back and walked away. He didn’t say one word to me during the whole transaction. Customer service at its worst!

Had my first visit to the maple tree over the weekend and was served by Jack who was very friendly. The food there is lovely, I had a roast dinner but I couldn’t eat it all as it was quite a big portion. Would definitely be going back.

Great venue for large gathering. All our family ( 14 people)were served timely great food forthe price. Friendly atmosphere and nice surroundings.

Went in for a bottle of wine and meal. We were shown to a dirty table which we had to ask for it to be cleaned, picked up a menu which was very dirty and greasy. The whole place was shabby and wanted a good fettle. Not a welcoming place so we left without having anything. Won't go back.
