The Manor House Inn in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We visit regularly and are never disappointed. Always beautifully presented dishes that taste great. I tried the new veggie and halloumi salad, full of flavour and a decent size. The chocolate melt pudding on the specials menu was amazing! Consistently great food, the Chefs are very talented. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

We popped in for a quick drink and to collect our take away food. The pub was buzzing with a lovely friendly ambiance. The pub was fully booked for food, and we had been a little last minute, Kim kindly made it possible for us to have a take away. The food was fantastic, the most beautifully presented take away I have ever had. It was wonderfully tasty and ample portions. Thank you Manor House Inn, we will be back!

We really enjoyed the carvery at the Manor House today: excellent food and plenty of it. Good value too. Although the pub was busy the staff were very pleasant and attentive. I would happily recommend the Sunday carvery to anyone.

Fabulous food including home made mayonnaise. Superb side salad and home made puds. Very good value for money. Well worth the dreadful weather en route. Friendly welcome. Worth the trip.

DO NOT GO HERE if you are a VEGAN. There is nothing on the menu. The chefs offered me a beetroot burger, which was dry and tasteless, placed inside a white sesame bun (untoasted) with lettuce and tomato. In today's society, veganism is very prevalent, so I fail to understand why such a highly rated restaurant fails to have one good meal always readily available for a vegan. I'm very disappointed.

We were recommended this place by our hosts and what a recommendation it was! The character of the pub was just up our street. The atmosphere was brilliant for a Friday night. The bar area was busy but this didn't impact the atmosphere in the restaurant. We hadn't booked but we were so glad they could fit us in. We both had starters, I had fish stew, which was delicious, and my finance had the scallops. I wanted to save foe the main but it was so delicious I couldn't resist and ate it all. We both had the pie of the day special, which just so happened to be our favourite, steak and Stilton. The pastry and the pie itself was delicious. Unlike most places this pie was filled with a lot of meat and we definitely got our monies worth. Great chips and perfectly cooked vegetables. There was no room for a pudding on this occasion, but we will definitely be back. There is no need to mention home cooked food on the menu as you can tell by the smells off the kitchen as you walked in. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were not local and after following the satnav to get there it didn't fill us with much hope getting back however the waitress provided us with a much easier route back to our accommodation. I wish there were more pubs like this that tick every box for character, atmosphere, amazing food and great service.

Fabulous food and service. Our meals were beautifully presented and tasted delicious (can recommend the stuffed aubergine!) Very reasonably priced. We were made to feel very welcome, especially our two dogs. A big thank you to the lady who accommodated our dogs so brilliantly. One is a little nervous, she provided us with a quiet table which had plenty of space. We will definitely be returning, thank you!

Having checked out the reviews I decided to book a table for two, and we were not disappointed. The food, the service and the ambience were all excellent. It is clear that everything is home made and the quality of ingredients is very good. I had the scallops and they were perfectly cooked and came with a fresh salad and a choice of either bread or chips. My mum had the pie of the day which was chicken and bacon, and it was so huge I had to help her finish it. The veg that came with it were lovely and there was also the choice of chips or potatoes. Both of us had the lemon tiramisu for desert which was divine. The was by far the best meal we had in Cornwall during our trip.

Went with a party of 6. We all had something different and all agreed that the food was of the highest standard. Excellent value for money. Will most definitely be returning (especially for a Tarquins Special).

We called in on a whim on a Saturday evening and were looked after without hesitation. The staff are friendly and efficient and the pub building is quaint and has a lot of atmosphere. Plenty of outdoors seating too, scattered around on different levels, which is nicely quirky. The food was nicely presented, with good portions and was excellent. One of our party had a food allergy and the chef delivered the food personally and explained how he had varied the ordered dish to accommodate the allergy, which we thought was a really nice touch.

Back again and the stew was to die for. Unctuous and flavourful. Wife had jerk chicken that she deemed outstanding. Great destination for a lunch after walking on the moor nearby!

We arrived for lunch at the end of the serving period, although we had called ahead to warn of our delayed arrival. We were warmly welcomed and served delicious freshly cooked food. Although we we late, we were well looked after and made most welcome. It was a great lunch and a memorable visit.

Excellent food we come here quite regularly with family for a nice evening meal - staff are always helpful and accommodating. Food is always fresh and there are always lots of specials. You can also get some of the dishes as a takeaway.

Went for a fantastic birthday meal last night at the Manor Inn. It was exceptionally busy, although we had booked a table. There was only one front of house manning the bar and tables, which were all occupied. Despite this, the lovely Meghan was very attentive getting out orders soon after we arrived. Throughout the evening, her service was exceptional, with short wait times between courses, and always delivered with a smile. Alex who was working with the chef, came up a couple of times to help when he could. He was also very polite and professional. Both of them are an asset to the team.

The food and staff were absolutely fantastic. Very well looked after by superb staff and the standard of the food was excellent. The seafood stew was incredible.

Cosy bar with fire (it was January!), great food, friendly staff. I had steak pie and my wife had seafood. The chips are particularly good. All the food was plentiful and piping hot and the beer and wine were cold, who could ask for more?

Another great meal ( we’re local) the seafood stew is to die for and the sirloin steak is always cooked to perfection. Having said that, the burgers are pretty good 👍🏽 friendly service, lovely meals, Joss & Kim are very good hosts. 😊

We were lucky enough to visit The Manor on 2 separate occasions this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed both times. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional and the whole ambiance of the pub left us feeling very Christmassy. Thank you all.

We had a wonderful lunch at the Manor House Inn. The food was excellent, really good value, fresh and well presented. All five of us polished off our three courses and had a really enjoyable, relaxing lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful and I can't thank the young lady who helped me retrieve my phone which had fallen behind the radiator. She really went out of her way to help and I am very grateful. All in all I would thoroughly recommend the Manor House Inn and we will definitely be coming back.

A real gem of a pub which is dog friendly throughout and serves amazing tasty food. Definitely recommend. I had grilled haddock with fries and mushy peas and my partner had the halloumi burger. Clean plates for both of us.

Another lovely night of food at the Manor. The themed nights are always good fun. I have eaten many times at the Manor and am never disappointed! A full range of American food on offer! I loved the mac and cheese. I dropped the top of my burger bun on the way to the table. It was replaced straight away with no questions asked and at no extra cost. The staff are always lovely. I would always recommend!

Yet another successful themed evening meal 🇺🇸. We went for our son’s ‘off to uni treat’ and we weren’t disappointed. From the corn dogs (catering without quibble for my last minute decision to have the veggie option as I’m not keen on hotdogs), to the selection of main courses (my husband even had the chicken legs despite not usually eating off the bone, to which he gave 👍🏻), I tried a bit of everything as did our son and we would have left clean plates if not for being full and wanting to leave room for desert. We shared two individual, home made double crust apple pies between us …… clean plates and very satisfied customers. There were plenty of non meat options and my particular favourites were the macaroni cheese, coleslaw, spicy potato salad 🌶️ , pizza and everyone’s favourite, the chips. We’ll definitely be back.

The Manor House Inn looks like any other lovely country pub on the outside, but inside is an excellent menu of dishes, homemade from scratch from locally sourced produce. We were so impressed with the quality of ingredients used, that we decided to leave this review. The locals were friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was busy with a lovely atmosphere. There were plenty of friendly and attentive staff that helped make it a great place to eat and drink.

A hidden gem of a pub, warm welcome on arrival which is unusual in most of our local pubs, came for lunch for the first time, just fab, food fresh and lots of it. Thank you. We will be back and hapilly recommend.
