Called in for a Sunday lunch. Plenty of veg on the plate. Shame the same can't be said about the meat, Had belly pork which consisted of one slice of 50% fat as is the nature of belly pork leaving about two forkfulls of meat. The desert was nice ( sticky toffee pudding) it needed more custard though. When we asked for more custard we were given one miniscule jug with one spoonful of custard between 4 patrons. Shall not bother to go back.

We booked during the week for Sunday lunch for family that were visiting us for the first time. We all sat down with our drinks bought from the bar, we were not allowed to set up a tab (reasoning assumed later on), and waited for some service. After some time we asked for a menu, the girl walking past found us 3 well worn bits of menu and then walked straight off. Again after some time I had to bring one of the girls over to us to ask about the Sunday lunch as there was none on the menu to be told they don't serve Sunday lunch. The website does show a Sunday roast dinner. We still decided to stay and eat as we knew everywhere else would be booked up, so we sat, for nearly an hour without anyone asking whether they could take our orders. We left without another drink or Sunday lunch, guessing that with the service as bad as it was they'd be nervous of people walking out without paying. There didn't appear to be anyone out of their teens there, not that that is an excuse for bad customer service, however these girls need some form of restaurant training. Update the website or at least tell your customers that you don't serve Sunday lunch when you book specifically for that.

Lunch ok Left comfy chairs to sit in windy marquee to listen to advertised singer Jug of Pimm's bought ready to sing along. Football on telly Singer be on eventually!! Probably 7pm not 5pm as advertised

What a bunch of clowns, poor service. No idea what they are doing, hardly anything on the menu. Used to always be busy, now hardly anyone in there.

I would leave zero starts if this was an option! The menu online is entirely false, virtually unrecognisable! The restaurant is run by youngsters who appear to blindly support the chef/management despite the food being inedible. The small bites starters were so small they were almost invisible then the main course which was over cooked chicken burgers with salt and chilli chips that were inedible because they were so heavily salted. We booked a table for 7.30 then went to order and were told the kitchen was closed. When we asked to see the chef about the inedible food we were told the kitchen was closed. Clearly not prepared to accept any responsibility for substandard food and just hoping people visiting this beautiful town will never come back again. Shame on you!

I feel a bit sorry for the team for the other reviews on here. We booked in for a Sunday lunch they were clearly busy and a bit overwhelmed but did explain to us there would be a wait for the food which was fine as we were in no rush. It took around 40 mins but the roast dinner was lovely, lots of meat and nice selection of vegetables. If you are happy to wait and aren’t in a hurry, I highly recommend trying here. The staff were really friendly, even though you could see they were under pressure.

Came for drinks the first day and Sunday dinner the next. Drinks spot on, dinner amazing and the banter was the icing on the cake. Teilan (sorry if that’s spelt wrong) was truly wonderful and we even suggested he do stand up! Go here if you want a good pint, better food and amazing service.

Very tired inside. Seats uncomfortable. Was handed a menu that was “greasy”. Wanted to watch sky sports for golf but tv not on in marquee. Asked for it to be switched on and was told someone would sort it. 20 mins later no one appeared. Service poor. Give it a miss

Ace was a top host, she was very accommodating and was always on hand to top up drinks. She was very friendly and provided great banter to suit the friend group. Give her a raise

I was amazed today to see one of your staff suffer a genuine panic attack, just stood there sobbing and could not breathe...and it took a customer to deal with the situation! not one member of management came out to see him, just a barmaid came over to tell him he could go home this was mid panic attack it was the last thing he needed at that point...there was no empathy, support or plan in place to support this employee. The customer ended up taking the young man home, when she returned again no one from your establishment checked with her to see if he was okay. You should be ashamed of the lack of support and care you offered your staff member.

We came for lunch and found a good choice of food in pleasant surroundings pity the log burner wasn’t lit but it was warm enough, ordered from the bar a couple of rump steaks with a peppercorn sauce for my wife and Stilton and garlic sauce, the best onion rings very tasty and enjoyable will definitely revisit a very good meal

The Mall, DONT BOTHER, THEY DONT,!! What a shambles. Called in today 17/01/2024 at lunchtime, ordered drinks and food. Drinks arrived eventually ok, that’s as good as it got. When the food turned up 35 minutes after ordering( the place was almost empty, not surprising) first problem, no relish with the 2 Camembert cheeses. Had we not asked we wouldn’t have been told they had run out also both were cold in the centre. So one Camembert was returned to be exchanged for a burger, the other sent back to properly baked (what can l say, I’m a cheese addict). Over half an hour later the burger turned up, long after the other two in our party had finished their meals. No sign of the Camembert. Went to bar and told that reheat the meal had been translated into didn’t want the meal??? WHAT A WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. BEST SUGGESTION FOR THE MANAGEMENT OR SHOULD IT BE MISMANAGEMENT, IS EITHER GET A GRIP OR BETTER STILL, DO WOODHALL SPA A FAVOUR AND GET OUT OF TOWN,!! Guess what? We will not be going back!

Local pub. Food was good. We had a large group so took a little while to come out but our visit was enjoyable and made better by the great service from the man working there ( sorry I didn’t get his name )

Spent 5 weeks around Woodhall Spa due to a family emergency. We went to the Mall often, sometimes for a drink and sometimes for food. The food was good old fashioned pub fare, nicely cooked and good value. The staff are efficient and friendly. They were very supportive toward us as we were having a bad time. Tealin the manager especial so. Will be going again next time we’re there.

Sat for over 40 mins waiting for a coffee, still sat here now! Rubbish service, find somewhere else. It was busy in the bar, told I hadn’t been forgotten but the wait was ridiculously

Ate here about 6 times this year. Every Time the food has delicious and the staff could not have been nicer. Tonight the hunters chicken was half the size in previous visits but will still return. Dog friendly in the main bar well worth a visit . Can't honestly understand the poor reviews.

We were visiting the area for the evening and I made some effort to research where to go before we arrived. I went for The Mall based on the information on their website, including the photos and what looked like a lovely menu. When we arrived the menu was different and not in a good way! We were the only table on a Thursday evening near Christmas which maybe should have been a sign. The food arrived quite quickly and could only be described as barely adequate. And certainly not worth the money. I ordered a vegan dessert and when it arrived it very clearly wasn’t vegan. Luckily I don’t actually have an allergy to dairy but I could well have done. This was a very expensive mistake.

Booked a table for 9 at 5.30pm because we wanted to eat at a reasonable time due to a small child in our party. Sadly the food did not arrive until gone 7pm! It’s not like they had to prepare some gourmet dishes either as it was all burger/chips meals. The food itself was over cooked, dry and portions were pitiful. The queue for the bar was ridiculous with only one person serving - no table service for food or drinks. Safe to say we won’t be back.

Awful place! The website made it look really nice with an amazing menu. When we arrived we were instantly let down. Told they had no chicken at all. Not even nuggets for the children. We waited 90 minutes for the food to arrive. It was only a Wednesday evening and 2 other tables only. If we hadn’t paid when ordering we would have walked out.

Called in for some food and a drink. The food came nicely prepared and hot. We both enjoyed the meal, very tasty. Cannot fault it. Enjoy are vist.

We had an absolutely beautiful experience here on Saturday, lunch and drinks. Had a por*star martini each which was fruity, sweet and delicious, one of the best we’ve ever had. I had fish and chips and my partner had the battered halloumi, both were cooked just right and so so lovely. Shared a cookie dough which in texture was more like a brownie/cake but so tasty and the ice cream that came with it was really nice. Service was quick, only waited about half hour for the freshly cooked meals. Staff are friendly and hospitable and the prices are so reasonable. Will definitely visit again when back in the area.

Awful! Uninterested, rude staff, extortionate prices, no atmosphere! They clearly rely on holidaymakers who don't care where they go!

Went for lunch at Woodhall Spa today and popped into the Mall pub. On the website it says if you order from the lunch menus you can upgrade your selected meal for an extra £1.00 and it includes an alcoholic or soft drink from a selection. So we decided to ask the waitress about this and she said she will have to ask someone. She came back and said no they don’t do this offer. I said well it’s listed on your website and showed her it on my phone and she said we don’t look at the website sorry So we decided to leave and go somewhere else. Very poor advertising, will not go there again

Beautiful venue set in the countryside town of Woodhall. Great atmosphere, excellent VFM, friendly staff and excellent food. We were also treated to live music, we will definitely be visiting again - highly recommend a visit.

Firstly I came in and everything seemed fine we ordered drinks, when we’re done we seated ourself to the outside table most of our Pepsi maxs were flat so as any normal person we went to take them back, when I went to take the drinks back the staff was saying “well it’s not as I’ve just pored it out of a new bottle as apparently the pumps were broken and they was giving us store brought bottled Pepsi max. I said theses are definitely flat and haven’t got any bubbles in at all, these were my mates drinks what I even tried myself and they didn’t taste right at all.
