Best breakfast Iv had in a very long time the quality of the product down to even the tea make with tea leaves was delicious

Very nice spot for breakfasts! after ordering our food was brought out very quick which was brilliant as we were both very hungry!! It was busy when we went but the servers had it all under control very well and made sure everyone was comfortable. Definitely reccomend!

On a recent visit to the area. We visited twice! Reason being, we were so impressed first time around. The young waitress was so happy and friendly, an asset for sure. The food is exceptional, and potion sizes were huge. The establishment is quirky and this creates such a wonderful atmosphere and ambience.

Food was lovely. We had the nicest Veggie breakfast that included our favourite Glamorgan sausages. Reception was warm and welcoming and service was prompt and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend the Magic Roundabout to anyone!

Lovely cafe right in the heart of bowness. Two floors with plenty of seats upstairs. Really good hot food menu for a cafe, the food was also very good and reasonably priced. Full range of hot drinks as well as beer wine and spirits Good service from all staff in this nicely themed cafe. No parking available so use public carpark and walk in. Dog friendly and a nice atmosphere even for a winter Monday lunch.

All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Even our dogs were made to feel welcome! The food was delicious and the chef very kindly made me a vegan special! Would highly recommend and we will definitely return

Had a magic butty for breakfast which should of been a toasted ciabetta with streaky bacon sausage but what I got was a soggy ciabetta with no bacon and a rubbish sausage and the price was so definitely not worth it so do yourself a favor and don't waste your money

We came here for a spot of lunch during our stay in the Lake District. We had a Fish finger sandwich and a trio of platters. Was delicious, with good service. Lovely atmosphere and great spot right in the centre.

Very nice place! The staff were lovely and very kind. We were served by Nathan who was so attentive and nice. We had a full English and it was gorgeous. Would definitely recommend.

Went here for cocktails, was shocked when it took so long to arrive at the table and for the cocktails to be in such small measures, I was also extremely disappointed at the price, £30 + for to very small and underwhelming cocktails , all round we where very disappointed

We dropped in for a coffee and cake on a cold November afternoon and received a lovely warm welcome. Delicious cake, the best mocha I’ve had in ages and excellent service. We definitely recommend stopping by.

Met some friends here for tea! We all went for the kebabs (chicken and beef) The food was absolutely divine! We also had the magic roundabout cocktail which was lovely!

Sat down and waited 30 minutes before walking out as no one even looked at us to order poor service!

Visited here many times - the food and service is great and the place is very inviting. My young sister also visited here with her friend when in Bowness for the day, and had lost her card and only had her bus fare home which she only realised after ordering a cocoa, she told them she would have to cancel and they gave her the cocoa as a good Will gesture anyway. Not often you get people this kind hearted these days , definitely recommend visiting here and I also will return.:) Also visited this weekend and the tapas was delicious!

Called in on arrival for a long weekend with friends for a light lunch after two hours travelling.we all opted for a sandwich switched tea or coffee although I did partake in a pint due to not driving after all I was on my holidays! The food was freshly prepared and it was delicious as was the cider!! Recommended for good fresh food and a really relaxing atmosphere. Staff were spot on. Price wise it was very reasonable.

It's a good cozy place, and the staff is very courteous. You'll enjoy your time after roaming around the lake and sit there for lunch maybe. It's important to note that they have a very very limited menu for Halal food, hence if you're looking for Halal food this place might not be in your wishlist.

The place is nice and comfy , 3 adults and 2 kids as family with our dog 🐕 border collies. Staff is very friendly, especially Maya. I highly recommend it to the family.😍👍👌

GLAD I DIDN'T WASTE MY TIME. EXTREMELY RUDE 22/09 After myself and my partner trying to call for 45 minutes and the phone just ringing, I finally got through. I was going to book online but wanted to see if I needed to book or not. I was greeted by such an appalling manner, like I was causing such an incredible inconvenience. Anyway, I asked him if you have to book not walk in, without stating what day I was wanting to attend. I received a response of we're fully booked, which such hostility. I advised I hadn't stated a date and that online I could book. To which the response was well I said we're booked. Obviously due to the remarkable experience, I decided not to go. 23/09 we walked past all tables had reserved sign's except for a few out front yet it was empty. We Walked past an hour later and people who wanted food were being turned down, to their disappointment and confusion, with it being empty except one couple having a drink out front.

Food was fantastic quality definitely recommended the ribs, service was on point an given with a smile, music wasnt to loud and variety of drinks are brilliant highly recommend to any visitor to thw area

When on holiday I love to review the places where people can enjoy a good meal. Service was great very friendly, chips tasted amazing however the burger let the meal down a little a tad on the greasy side. All in all it was a cool place to eat with a good vibe and relaxing atmosphere. The Magic roundabout decor on the outside of building vibrant colours.

Don’t go here. We ordered waffles with mixed berries and we received store bought packaged waffles with around 6 raspberries each. A bug crawled out of one of them so we knew they hadn’t even been washed. Luckily we were not charged for these meals, but we left immediately, very disappointed having read the glowing reviews

Lovely place and helpful staff, the soup arrived lukewarm, but they happily warmed it up for us, the sticky toffee pudding was gorgeous.

This place is great, the food quality is fantastic. The service was very friendly, and they were very eager to assist with one of our group who has a progressive disability. Toilets are upstairs in this place they assisted getting our group member back down. We thought the place was slightly on the expensive side! However due to the quality we were happy to pay this as a treat! I highly recommend the Magic roundabout because although for us it was expensive the quality and service is spot on!

If you're looking for a coffee I'd absolutely swerve this place. If you want a cup of hot milk, fire on. Never tried the food so I can't say anything about that bar the cakes looked good. I did get a couple of flat whites, except I'm pretty sure they forgot to add the espresso. The smell of coffee was stronger than what was in it.

This is one of the finest gem in Bowness-on-Windermere. The food is excellent and the service was great. We had dinner and morning breakfast , food tasted very authentic. Will definitely visit again.

10/10 service. Went in 10 minutes before closing as couldn’t find anywhere else, staff were so accommodating and served up fab cocktails. Will definitely return!

Slow service but nice place and good food.

Stopped here for a breakfast before a long cycle ride to start us off for the day. Menu looked appealing in what the breakfast included. Bother had large breakfast and it had plenty on it but all came out cold I mean cold apart from the hash browns, the eggs bacon and sausage toast was stone cold but it was so tasty which was a shame. I did mention this to the young waitress and she said oh sorry but I couldn't be bother to take any further. Other than being cold service and flavour and size was all good. Price for a breakfast a side of toast and 2 drinks was just short of £40 and for it being cold I thought over the top.

TERRIBLE!!!! We were shown quickly to our table given menus wasn't asked if we would like drinks just left for 20mins then our order was taken we then waited 40 mins for our food! My husband had steak & wanted it rare and it was well done !! both of our meals was cold didn't tell them at the time we were so hungry & couldn't wait longer for them to rectify it. The restaurant wasn't busy!! Overall the service & food was shocking would not recommend!!!!!!!

Perfect breakfast by the roundabout watching people go by. Really good poached eggs and coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. Funky decor in a lively atmosphere.

Unfortunately the service here was absolutely terrible. We waited over 40mins for our breakfast (which was only some granola and a toasted teacake). We walked out in the end because we couldn't wait any longer. The one coffee we had was cold as well.

Brilliant meal for a friends 60th birthday, Isla and her colleagues went the extra mile to make it a very enjoyable night. The service was 1st class and the food was excellent. Will definitely return. Thank you

We were celebrating our friends 'special' birthday. All the staff were excellent, especially Isla. The food was very good. I did a video of the birthday cake arrival, which didn't work. Isla re-lit the candles and re-did the walk in. I would recommend this restaurant .

Only had a cuppa! No Earl grey or skimmed milk though.

Took almost 30 mins to get someone to take our order, asked at bar and told they would come to table, said short of staff,,,Food took a further 25 mins to arrive, as did drinks, I know they were busy but told only one member of staff in kitchen, and one staff serving. Food ( magic breakfast) looked nice, but unfortunately beans and mushrooms were clay cold and eggs sausages and bacon were just say warm, tried getting servers attention but no one about, so ate what was slightly warm and left the rest, mentioned it when paying bill and young girl apologised, again blaming short staff. Not sure if we caught them on a bad day, but judging by how popular it looks it must usually be better.

We arrived and got sat straight away. We ordered drinks and 10 mins later ordered food. Our coffee’s arrived quickly however we waited an hour for food. We ordered 2x full english breakfast, 1x small full English and 1x magic butty. The bacon was anaemic , found a hair in one of the English breakfasts, hash browns did not arrive with the breakfasts so had to ask for them and the eggs were overdone. Service was better than the food and they did take the coffee’s off due to our complaints. We had to ask where our food was twice. All round we wouldn’t recommend.

Nice that it was open rather late

I booked a table for 9:15pm earlier on in the day, I got there at the selected time and the door was locked. We were waiting around for 5 minutes knocking on and finally someone came out the side door and said that they didn’t have enough bookings so they sent the chefs home. I didn’t get a call or anything to tell me my booking had been cancelled or that it was going to be closed, despite having our contact number and email. Would not recommend due to unreliability and poor customer service.

We didn't have a great experience here. We pre-booked and were shown to our table promptly but service afterwards was quite slow, the staff seemed to be far too few for the number of people in the rather cramped dining room upstairs. My better half started with crispy chicken pieces, while I had the calamari. The chicken pieces was a very generous portion, but lacked flavour, while my calamari was a little tough and not very tasty at all. It was supposed to come with lemon aioli, but it had plain mayo instead. For mains I had the mushroom pasta while Ruth had the chicken burger. My pasta was rich and very tasty, but the chicken burger was missing three major ingredients, bacon, pickle and onion rings. We complained about this and they duly arrived 10 minutes later on a separate plate. They obviously had the ingredients there, so why not put them in the burger as indicated on the menu? We were not the only ones to have this issue either. Suffice to say, we won't be coming back.

We had breakfast here. The welcome was warm and the waitresses were friendly but honestly the service was a mess, we kept having to ask for water (which we never received), cutlery…. No smoothies or pancakes (told after we ordered). Creamy scrambled eggs were not creamy - rather dry, waffles were not fresh. We asked if the orange juice was fresh (which it wasn’t) and the waitress told us she didn’t know because she didn’t drink orange juice.

Can’t tell you how bad our experience here was. It was like the staff had gone to the faulty towers school of customer service. Inattentive is putting it mildly. There were literal children working in there who, although polite, were woefully untrained. For example - Bringing over half full cups of tea without teaspoons or milk, dropping entire plants into the food bin and having paddies on show in front of customers. We went for breakfast and the food was terrible too. Can’t believe we paid actual money for this experience, you’d have to pay me to go back.

Great little place for food, very knowledgeable about allergens

We arrived here whilst on holiday in the area. On arrival we were given a table and then waited 20 mins before we had to find someone to take our drink and food order. Then when my pot of tea came I was given a dirty coffee cup with it, we found it to be under staffed and not great service.

The Magic Roundabout Breakfast was excellent, and I couldn't fault the food. However, service and staff need improvement. Staff were very polite and helpful, just incompetent. We ordered 2 flat whites with our food, but unfortunately, the waiter only heard 1 coffee. After establishing only 1 coffee had been ordered, I then ordered 2 more as I had nearly finished the coffee. After a reasonable wait, only 1 coffee arrived. After speaking with the waiter, he told me that he had ensured 2 coffees were ordered and the other would eventually turn up. After I had finished my breakfast, my coffee turned up. Very disappointed with the service. There are too many tables for the staff and the facilities to service. Please focus on quality, not quality, with maximum profit.

I recently dined at the magic roundabout , and unfortunately, my experience was quite alarming. I ordered a mixed grill which included chicken kebabs and was shocked to discover that the chicken was served raw. This is not only unappetizing but also a serious health hazard. I immediately brought it to the attention of the staff, who were apologetic, but upon looking at other reviews I have now gathered that this isn't a first time incident for this restaurant. Serving raw chicken is an extremely dangerous recurring issue to have!

Food was pretty good, burger meat wasn’t the best little bit tough compared to chicken burger. Apparently new cocktail menu of about 10 cocktails, however the bar man couldn’t do half of them as he didn’t know how. He was sat behind bar doing nothing so probably could have used his time a bit better and learnt them. If a cocktail menu can’t be made by a cocktail maker I probably wouldn’t have one. Red wine it was. Waiter was professional and polite.

Great starters, 3 for £22 were great value portions where large mains were pretty standard quality, decided to go there as they had some vegetarian option.

Food was ok after waiting a good 15-20 minutes to take our order. Quite miserable staff but worst of all were the toilets! I have NEVER seen such a dirty toilet in a restaurant. The staff were using it too and one member used it before me & left it in that state! Absolutely disgusting, would never go back

The Magic Breakfast was absolutely superb! The cappuccino was lovely and creamy, in fact it was so good I had another! Only one minor fault, and it's certainly not something that should put you off, we visited on a rainy Saturday and found it extremely hot inside.

We loved the quirky vibe that this offered for brunch...2 breakfasts and coffees. Loved the helpful servers too.

Great cafe/ coffee shop, looked like great breakfasts. Had a solid Bacon Roll with lovely coffee. As you woukd expect with street side seating in a tourism area, quite a bit of traffic on very front seating. It did not spoil our visit.

Tourist rubbish. Had lunch there with friends. Food was basic and the soup was cold. Service was slow and they forgot parts of the order (a table next to us had been waiting 45mins for coffee). Ambience is nonexistent as you are next to an incredibly busy road. The decor is tatty and dark. I would never recommend it and I struggle to understand why this place has such good reviews.

We had brunch here on a Sunday morning. The food was great, hot and freshly cooked, quite a lot of it was fried so keep this in mind if you order a full English. The coffee was ok, it’s not a coffee shop so don’t expect a proper flat white. The service was average, our order wasn’t taken for a while so I had to get someone to take our order eventually although others seated after us had their orders taken. The food was good though.

Food was cold and service was terrible. Came in right behind one couple who ate 3 courses and left before we even had our food. After we did get ours, after a group who came in after us, the food was cold and bacon tasted off. Still ate it all though because was starving after the hour wait.

The second floor is more comfortable, and the first floor has a better atmosphere.

I ordered a full english breakfast and my husband the waffle stacker. My husband got about 3 small waffles, and for the price, it wasn't a great portion. My sausage, eggs, and mushroom were stone cold. My bacon was extremely chewy. Whilst there, we actually saw another person complain about something. Staff were slow, and it wasn't even busy. It took us 25 minutes to get our drinks. In fact, my husband ordered an extra portion of toast alongside his waffles because the portion was that little, but the toast never came. We decided to pay and leave. It's a shame because the lunch and dinner menu look great, but unfortunately, I won't be returning for either.

Very poor customer service. After sitting for over 15 minutes we had to get up and ask someone take our order. We were told that someone will be over in a minute, however the waiter then proceeded to take another Family’s order who came in after us. After waiting over 25 minutes and still not had our drinks order taken we decided to walk out.

We ordered pork ribs and Hake. Pork Ribs tasted a bit Indian style...that was fine. It's still nice. Maybe I was too used to American kind of ribs. Portion was huge. That was a plus. But the food preparation time was way too slow.
