Beer kept well, staff are pleasant and welcoming. Cobs dry and powdery bread. Decent filling. Too many tv's on with different channels. Nobody seems to watch unless there's a match on. Music generic soft rock. Still the Best pub in the area.

I went to the Lyndon Pub for a sip and paint night. It was great fun and the group learnt a lot.the pud itself is large for a local pub but it's still friendly with a welcoming atmosphere.

I didn't have food but ... I can't lie this is a great pub ... The locals ... The staff ... More than welcoming... PLUS THEY HAVE A DECENT SELECTION OF music tribute act throughout the year ... So yeah 10/10 pub .... Good job 👏🏾👍🏾 Oh and the prices will get you drunk ❤️

We are a ladies Darts team, and went to compete.

Even though I live about 2miles from this pub I still class it as my local, I have been using it on and off since 1978 and it was a great pub then just as it is now,it is safe warm and welcoming, the band nights ie Saturday night are brilliant some great bands and you don't even have to pay in,kat and nigel do a great job running the pub and will do anything to help you, so all in all a great pub.

No ice, no lime, no lemons really… Popped in over Christmas wasn’t particularly busy and wasn’t too late either. No ice, no lime, no lemon wtf 🤔 this was before Christmas so they can’t blame the Xmas rush either. Totally unacceptable when you are serving spirits that you don’t offer ice, lime, lemon etc. Maybe if the Landlady spent less time dancing on chairs she might find the time to stock the bar properly..

It was a shame they had run out of food.

Over the years I have been in the Lyndon a few times with no drama. I have been working away for the last 12 months. A friend of mine convinced me to try the place again. While my first November visit was pleasant, things went from bad to worse. On my second visit, I witnessed members of the staff intoxicated and arguing with the Lyndon Pub uniform clear as day. (very unprofessional) On my third and final visit in December, I accompanied my friend for some to eat with my partner and children. while the food was good value the problems started when we moved on to the Bar (our kids have been picked up by their grandparents thank goodness). I felt unwelcomed by the locals, they quizzed me asking how I knew my friend etc... But the most horrifying moment was on the visit to the toilet when I saw two people snorting drugs with several empty bags on the toilet floor and felt so intimidated. I left immediately with my partner. I don't believe I have seen anyone over 25 behind the bar or a management team.

Dirty pub...bad experience..I remember this pub as a lovely lively place..last time for us...

Absolutely Great place to visit,I've been on many occasions,especially when they have live music which is mostly every weekend,And put on Great Bands/Singers...I've had many of Brilliant nights here. Friendly atmosphere,Amazing Barstaff,who Friendly and will to help with any queries you have. And lastly the Management well I can't fault then in anyway,they are very accommodating and will help you in anyway they can. Fantastic place to go too,I'd recommend that you pay The Lyndon Pub a Visit,You won't be disappointed that's for Sure

Fab place friendly staff always a chilled night out night

Recently held my mother in law’s funeral reception here. She always loved the huge chips that she had on Wednesday bingo afternoons so it was a foregone conclusion really and they certainly did her proud. Amazing. Well organised (and prepared) by Patricia who’s advice was invaluable. Food was superb and plentiful catering for seemingly all tastes and requirements, (even veggie) Plenty of free tea and coffee too, always a major plus at these things and Ellie and the other bar staff were very very attentive during the day. I’ve already told my wife this is definitely where I want mine held.👍 Thanks again to Kat and her wonderful staff for doing my Mother in law proud. X Malc Newton

I had an anniversary doo and it was FAB!!!

Just had my Son and Daughter in Laws Anniversary Party here. Staff are so friendly and helpful which made the whole occasion run smoothly. The Garrison function room holds about 35 and is free. You can also bring your own food. Children have to leave by 9pm so we started at 4.30 and that left us older ones to have a dance after! Will definitely be booking another get together soon …

Drinks and staff were good. Food not so good! Couldn't tell the difference between the mini fish at £6 and chips & the large fish and chips at £8, only £2! My fish was not cod, it was grey & I couldn't cut it with my knife and fork! The other ppl I ate with said their food was ok, but not alot of it.

Great place excellent staff very good bands

Basic pub, food until 10pm. good parking. Excellent landlady. And now that live music is back on the menu it is again picking up and becoming the place it once was until that blasted Covid lark, still I am looking forward to revisiting here in the very near future again for some entertainment.

Nice local pub good prices always busy on the weekends

Not a pub I normally use at it is not really local to me. I was there for a family gathering and found the staff were great and friendly. A little more expensive then other pubs I use but that changes nothing as I received good service and a great attitude.

Just a decent local boozer, friendly staff, organised events, reasonably priced. If you don't fancy a whole meal you can grab a cob for 1.50

Advertised as a dog friendly pub but we have just been kicked out for having a dog. Beyond confused and felt felling mortified.

The noise from the back of the pub just shows the management have lost control Of the pub it need a new management

Omg this pub is rough what has happened there. A couple in their 20's even had a dog in the lounge, come on landlord get rid of the dogs. Not the pub I used to know. You have got good barmaids. Sorry for being so negative, I was surprised can't get over what has happened.

Lovely friendly staff and great food 😉 Toilets could do with a bit of an update but will definitely be back for a drink sometime soon. 👍

TBH i dont know why we dont visit here more often, I guess as the J is closer then that's as good a reason as any. Nice to see a different range of lager on offer to the standard M&B fayre. We also tried the food for the first time which was pleasant enough. The back garden could use a tidy up, even if to cut the grass in the seating area, and a few benches need some repair. And need to get cask ales back on as soon as they can. Other than that I'm sure most will find it to be a welcoming and enjoyable pub.

1hour wait for terrible food that has given me a stomach ache this is probably the worst pub I have ever been to for food and service my favourite moment was after waiting an hour for food to be told other people were more important than us always great to hear

Another eventful Saturday evening for the local residents. Police called at 11.45 due to screaming, shouting, swearing, glasses being smashed and what sounded like a fight on the patio. Then to end a lively evening cars wheel spinning on the car park when they left. Thank you Lyndon. Reported to police as a public nuisance on 101, log number 2958 28/04 spoke to Mia received a call from PC Townsend from 101 ext 891 saying the Landlady apologised and the police have passed it onto licensing so yes please call them! 24/06/18 : Neighbours of the Lyndon pub, fed up with the noise from the sound system in the pub gardens YOU DO NOT NOT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH IT, CONTACT THE POLICE ON 101 report the matter and obtain a log number, mine is 2084/24/06/18, Danielle took the call and will pass the matter onto PC Luke Prescott at Solihull licencing this is a public nuisance, it also helps when these type of matters are reviewed. Friday 06/07/18 Midnight and the last few drinkers left the pub giving the residents a rousing chorus of Footballs coming home at the top of their voices,one of the pubs conditions is that the drinkers are requested to leave quietly. Saturday 07/07/18 Midday and the sound of the outside TV plus extremely loud music starts in the pub garden made louder by DJ using a public address system the sound recording in our garden was over 73 db's, at 7 pm the landlady announced her thanks to the bar staff for all their hard work, draw your own conclusions.

I had previously been for a chat and drink with a work colleague.lovely,quiet relaxing atmosphere.Thought we would try the food and catch up as a family to celebrate sons birthday.Food was fresh,plentiful and great value.Just home from a great catch up and a couple of drinks.5 stars all the way.Thanks for a great start to the weekend.

Friendly place good entertainment

Hired the function room on the 4th Jan. You had to put down a deposit and pay for food only - not a bad price for what we got including sandwiches, spring rolls, these really nice meat things and a separate meal for a guest who has allergies. We got to set up the room in the morning and the only rule was no bluetac (spelling?) on the wallpaper. The bar staff were handy, they provided a speaker so we can have our own music and kept coming round to take drink orders and check we were all OK. The pub had a live band on that night however in the Snug you couldn't really hear it. Would definitely hire again in the future if needed.

The Lyndon used to be a slightly uninviting pub full of grumpiness, with a slight air of menace flavouring the atmosphere. If I ever went there I never enjoyed it. But no more! I'd like to congratulate the current owners/management and their staff for turning this into a very friendly, welcoming establishment, which is becoming very much a community hub, without losing very much of its basic essence. My family and I always enjoy coming here now, mainly for food, which is always good and on the cheaper end of the scale. The alcohol isn't bad here either! Will be coming here more and more often now.

Called in on a Sunday lunchtime. The new menu is really good. Have to say the burgers are massive and probably the best I’ve ever tasted. Forget Mc’Donalds - have a Kat Burger.

Does what it says on the tin! Reasonably priced pub food and drinks. Good sized pub. I daren't take my coat off though as it was sooo cold in there.

Attended the L Factor. Great line up of acts. Good atmosphere as always. Good food offering available until 7pm. Family run pub at the heart of the community.

I visited the Lyndon pub with families to have a few drinks and there was a band that we knew on. First lack of sitting area. Second, I ordered drinks from the bar, the poor chap serving me was sweating profusely. So guess what, he wipes his forehead with his hand and went in pouring my pint of Guinness. Really!. For the price of alcohol I paid, that was extortionate, plus poor hand hygiene. Please go somewhere else.

Have started to use the Lyndon on a Saturday evening for the live entertainment. The staff are always friendly and helpful with a smile on their faces Can’t believe some people moan because they put 20pence on a pint when the entertainment starts If you have 5 drinks you spend an extra £1 for great entertainment keep it up Lyndon

Nice place. We went to watch a tribute. The bar was packed and a friend was being ignored. Then she called the member of staff who eventually served her. The only issue we had was that she over charged my friend by £5. Luckily my friend was on the ball and noticed straight away. Other than that, nice atmosphere and the other barmaids were lovely.

Great venue. Helpful staff especially jess made us feel very welcome and catered for our every need i would recommend this pub to many.
