First visit back to the original Lounge in 15 years. Still as nice as it always was.

The food was actually better than I expected without being amazing. The service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was good - it was a Wednesday night, but was still busy.

The service was prompt and very personable, the food was very tasty and the seasonal mulled wine was delicious. It was a bit noisy, but you've got to expect that from a popular place 🙂

Been working in the industry for years and i was really impressed with this place, been to about every dining spot in bedminster and this might be my new go to! i like the variety on the menu, the service was spectacular, my partner’s food took a bit long to come but didn’t negatively affect our experience. Would really recommend this place great old school vibe!

Went here after nightshift for breakfast with my friend! The staff were friendly. The food came out quickly. I had the lounge breakfast. It was nice and just enough. The coffee was also good . Recommended for breakfast or brunch. Wide selection.

Weve been to many Lounges and they are always great but this one is exeptional. The lady who served us was so friendly and funny. Great food, geat value, great service.

Have gone for date night, friends brunch and family lunch and each time the quality is amazing, the atmosphere is cozy and when we’re with our little kids, they really prioritise their drinks and free starter and that really REALLY stands out to parents. All friendly staff

Badly cooked breakfast yesterday - bacon completely dried out, overcooked black pudding and the rest was almost cold.

These aren't good anymore. They're ok. But not good. I ordered a side of fries for £3.30 and it came in a small ramakin that held like 1/3rd of what one would hope for. The food is solidly ok, but once it was good. Those days are gone it seems.

Fantastic burgers with tiny portions of chips , Mezze salad was tasty but again was a small portion, reasonable prices and good selection of vegan and gluten free items

We went there for brunch, with a good selection of food and as an added bonus we could take our dog inside where she had a puppocino, The food was cooked from fresh and served nice and hot, the staff were very friendly, Would definitely recommend, I don't know if you can book because as we were leaving there was a fair queue of diners waiting,

Service was good, but the whole place was cold as the doors were open whilst it was raining.... the food way too overdone, and chips were swimming in oil 🤢 will not be visiting again.

Quite disappointed by my latest experience of the Lounges. A colleague booked Teatro for a meal for a large group for my leaving do. One week before the day they had taken another booking for a larger group and cancelled our booking. We were forced to change the day and venue and settled on Brunello and Weston. Brunello do not take food orders in advance which immediately made me feel anxious that some people would not get what they wanted (something increasingly happening at the lounges). Ordering was chaotic as instead of having the reorders we had to order individually, this meant that food came out as and when and the last order came out as most others had finished eating. I got my third choice of meal which was not as hot as it could have been although very tasty. The quickest way to get tour order and not have to chase staff for it appears to be by using the app. Not ideal and takes the humanity away from the eating experience.

Food ok, reasonably priced as youd expect but the 2 lads serving looked like they had been raving all night. This is fine but when it is accompanied by surly customer service it kind of leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Young woman (manager?) saved the day with a winning smile.

Attentive and accommodating staff, great food deals (it’s worth it to read the menu to find out about them). When we came, it was rather full on an early Monday evening - always a good sign, I guess!

Love the Lounge! Great food and a lovely atmosphere. Dealt adequately with my allergies (although it's sad they've now adopted the Allergen groups list approach). Couldn't guarantee food didn't contain the additives I'm sensitive to (sodium benzoate and sodium metabisulfate amongst others) or elements from the nightshade family. Wouldn't show me ingredients as they've done in the past which is a shame as it makes everything so much easier. Had to carefully taste tiny smears of individual elements of my food and then wait to see if I reacted - epi-pen at the ready JIC. Will now have to do this every time we eat here as my reactions are dependent on my histamine levels so could react differently. What a shame I couldn't just see the bottle the sauce came out of...

For a brunch today I headed to a well popular spot called the lounge, ate here a couple times in the past so thought we give it another go. Today I ordered a Shakshouka with hashbrowns and jalapeños with a fresh orange and lemonade. Shakshouka had a very deep rounded tomato base as expected pretty rich with a nice depth to it, but I would say it lacked that side note of the peppers and any aroma or flavour of garlic, was kinda flat on any other flavour then tomato. The eggs were cooked to perfection runny centre, nice fresh eggs with that creamy yolk. Standard hashbrown nothing too crispy about them which always saddens me, crispy and saltier the better right? Nice super fresh orange juice mixed with lemonade always hits the spot, I would also add the little touch of crispy chickpeas were nice running through the dish. But for a staggering £18+ for this meal I have to say it’s a bit steep for the quality of food I ate today. Look it’s not the worst I’ve had it just lacked things that I think price point should have, if I payed £10/12 all in for this meal I wouldn’t be as harsh. Today I score it 6/10 overall.

Fab place with a great atmosphere, the breakfast was really good and it was good to be able to request a couple of changes, no eggs more hash browns for my daughter. Fresh orange juice was just what we needed to wake us up.

Had a great experience at The Lounge in Southville. Was found a table promptly even though it was busy. Jona was particularly helpful in finding out what was in a particularly dish and made an advisement based on what we told her. She was very friendly, bubbly and couldn't do enough to help and make sure all was good with us. Definitely will come back 💗

Very busy, really noisy. Hard to hear each other. The music was turned up to above levels of customer noise so people talked even louder! Floor strangely sloped in an area near ladies toilet - invisible in the current lighting. See photos for ladies toilets. Don't take a timid person in there, looks grubbier than a 1900s Whitechapel cupboard. Great for resilient teenagers I expect but we needed trauma counselling when we left.

Brilliant menu especially for vegetarians. Lots of choice. Delicious food. We all had something different and the service was so fast. The lady who served us the whole time was lovely. Funny, helpful and a brilliant host. I am definitely going again. I had the veggie Caribbean curry. It was delicious, the tapas were also a great shout for our group. It is now my favourite place to eat in Bristol. They also allowed us to order food late when other eateries said we were too late. Perfect xxx

Came for a light lunch. Had the tapas (hummus, salt n pepper squid, and cheddar n sweetcorn fritters) and a couple of beers. The food was delicious, the service was perfect, and the cost was reasonable. If you're lucky enough to get a seat outside it's perfect for people-watching on North St.

Lounges are one of my favourite places, no matter which one you go to, you know what you're getting. Very chilled atmosphere.food was good also the staff very friendly and helpful.

I am a regular here and it's always great! Food is good, menu has all the greats ? Eggs benedict, pancakes, morroccan eggs. The drinks selection is awesome - their shakes are nice and thick, and their frappe delicious, I really like their iced coffees (especially if you add French Vanilla syrup) Service is swift. Outdoor tables are nice in the sun. The decor is quirky.

What a great little find this is. Visited here with my daughter for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very eclectic decor with a cosy warm feel to it. Food and service very good.

The original and best (possibly) of the Lounges. They do Hofmeister but it tastes like the proper German stuff and not the watered down English version from the 80s 'follow the bear'

Popped in on our way back home from a walk. Was able to relax and enjoy our short time spent in there. Staff were lovely throughout & the food was great.

Four friends and I ate here before a comedy show at the Hen and Chicken. The food was great and served quickly. The manager was mad as a box of frogs but an absolute delight and really made our meal! We'll definitely come again!

Really enjoyed an evening of tapas here with friends. Reasonably priced and good selection. Sometimes it can be a bit hit and miss but the venue is always welcoming to large groups and there's something for most tastes on the menu.

Called.in here to day with my mother for mothers day we had the most loveliest time ever. The food was lovely and hot and a lovely atmosphere in here we most Def will be coming back here. After traveling from Weston super mare to Bristol on are next visit we will be comming here again really enjoyed are selfs lovely food Thank you

The manager, Lou, is the best asset to this place. The staff are mostly all friendly, but all polite. Lou on the other hand is exceptional and makes this place feel so warm, bubbly and vibrant. Never dull your shine for anyone, your perfect and the best addition not only to The Lounge but to life. Congrats on buying a grey sweater also.

The food was lovely and the server was amazing. She made my son's birthday meal a really good night. We will be going back soon. I highly recommend the lounge bedminster.

Good (ish) food, unfortunately second time now eggs are overcooked. Staff were chatting away at the counter but never actually came to check if everything was ok. Edit; just came back home and felt sick, so updated food to 1 star.

This was some of the best food I have ever eaten. We had the lamb sharwma and a selection of tapas and it was all delicious. The Bang Bang Cauliflower was the highlight. Absolutely fantastic.

NEVER AGAIN…. BAD costumer service….. If you looking to go there to have an enjoyable time with your family forget about it….all you will get lots of misbehaving children..screaming their heads off…parents do absolutely nothing to contain their children and if you ask them to get their children to be quiet you are asked to leave…. If you need to use the facilities think again you might not be able to get through the very tight doors…..a very strong unpleasant smell….. Very rude staff…..

Been a regular for god knows how long. Walked in today and just can’t justify the prices any more. £10 or £15 for a breakfast, plus your drink. £10 for a sandwich?? Almost £20 to get any food with a drink here. They’ve lost touch. Can’t fault the staff though although the turnover seems very high.

Had poached eggs on muffins with hollandaise, mushrooms and spinach. I was told it would be 20 minutes which was fine - however within a couple of minutes my order arrived. How can poached eggs be undercooked and cold? It all disintegrated into a runny mess. Nobody bothered to ask me if it was ok today - very disappointing as I would have told them. The latte was great by the way but i could have got a takeaway latte elsewhere.

Go-to place for a munch, my favourite thing on the menu is the halloumi fries with the chilli jam. Bit pricey but worth it.

The satisfying breakfast and decent cup of coffee were served at the perfect temperature. I liked the energetic atmosphere.

Burger was tasty but I found it a bit salty for my liking. The flat bread meal was mainly bread with a souse. We paid £35 for a Burger, Flat Bread and two drinks. Felt a little overpriced for the quality of the food and the service! I thought this was a restaurant but it is a pub and the atmosphere reminded me of Weatherspoon - loud, dark and warned out. The waiter/runner mistaken our order twice and we had to ask for the chips. I don’t think I will come back.

Breakfast was good, but you lost a star for the beans… they’d clearly scrapped the bottom of a burnt pan… couldn’t eat them - gross!

Went there about 2 weeks ago as my daughter is celiac and they have a fairly good gluten-free menu but I really think they need to use more care over cross contamination as she was very poorly even before we left the venue, we have visited others and have no problems at all.

After the third time with grand children in two months the food is getting worse,so sadly will not visit again, Burger so sloppy with sauce impossible to pick up Children meals third time hummus didn’t arrive kept asking arrived with the desssert even when ordering we asked can it be served first. Other meals dry sorry your standard has dropped so much My two year old grand daughter asked for knife fork to be changed as it was clearly dirty One meal had poached egg all you could taste was vinegar
