From the moment we walked in we were welcomed warmly and shown to our clean table service was very quick food with piping hot and delicious highly recommended wonderful place to eat

We had the upstairs room for a joint birthday and were very well looked after by Ryan. He was a star! So friendly and put up with us all very well. We enjoyed a variety of food, the roasts were lovely and very generous!

Really enjoyed our first visit to the restaurant. Great feel and setting. Excellent service (from Issac), lovely food from a wide range of menu options. Very happy to recommend and very likely to return. Thanks.

We were quite fussy due to allergies which were all catered for . Darren was so patient & helpful & didn't lose his sense of humour . Lovely decor & food is superb.

Chicken burger was absolutely awful, dry, bland, overcooked and brown almost burnt batter. Worst burger I’ve ever had. Calamari was the same. Two tasteless dishes, won’t visit again

Not really a pub. More a restaurant place. Beer was crisp and decently priced though. Probably best as somewhere to eat rather than drink. Clean and tidy environment tho. Fairer to judge as a restaurant i think.

We were a group of nine dining in a private room, and she took care of us with such attentiveness, patience, and warmth. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Her friendly attitude and excellent service made the evening even more enjoyable. Thank you, Minty, for making our visit so special—fab service all around! Highly recommend.

We did a brunch here the day after our wedding and had a large group of 20+ people! We were seated in a private room and the staff were super attentive and kept checking on us throughout!

I ordered a simple avocado on sourdough toast with poached eggs and salmon, and it was inedible! Very burnt toast, brown old avocado, and undercooked eggs with raw bits hanging off it. I’m not sure how this simple dish was made so badly, or why it was served. Thankfully the restaurant took it back and took it off the bill, and I ordered the delicious sugar doughnuts which made things much better! Our server was amazing too, didn’t catch her name.

I have had a few pleasant experiences at the Lost Boy both seated inside the restaurant and outside in the spacious garden. The food is tasty and well presented, reasonably priced meals, good service. I would recommend that you book before going to the restaurant.

We made a reservation for drinks and we weren’t made aware of any time constraints for the table. After the second round of drinks, we were told that the table was needed for other customers. We immediately left. We don’t plan to visit again anytime soon. P.S. First Bloody Mary I ordered was extremely hot. Second one was made by another person and was decent. No standard.

Just had the best festive dinner! Lottie was absolutely brilliant, super welcoming and totally on point with the menu, especially with our allergies. The food was a dream, particularly the Camembert & Bacon Burger—definitely the best burger ever! Everything felt special, and I couldn’t have asked for better service, drinks kept flowing, and the atmosphere was just right. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy it all again!

Really lovely venue and staff were great but, the food was less than average. The burger was overdone and the Christmas pudding was a joke. I hate negative reviews but it’s such a shame when somewhere that could be amazing, gets it so wrong

I recently enjoyed a festive dinner and it was quite nice! The food was top-notch, especially the turkey escalope – so tasty and perfectly cooked. The private room was a great touch, making our gathering feel special. My only minor gripe was the wait time between courses, but everything arrived hot and no one seemed to mind. Overall, a lovely experience, and I'll definitely consider coming back next year!

Our favourite spot for a civilised meal in Farnham. We rarely get out these days as we have young children, but we had a great lunch today for my wife's 40th birthday and were very well looked after. Thank you.

Today we visited for lunch as it was my husbands Birthday and we were very well looked after by Barbarba, who made our visit extra special and far exceeded any previous visits! Regularly have our breakfast here and the occasional lunch or dinner. Kelly always welcomes us warmly and with a big smile and makes the experience very enjoyable. Equally Feride always makes the food to a really high standard and really looks after us whenever we request changes to a dish. It's our go to place in Farnham and can't recommend the food and team highly enough

I just had a fab meal and I’m definitely coming back! The chicken rosti was absolutely brilliant, and the Eggs Benedict? Spot on! Plus, the service from Belen was top-notch—she really made us feel welcomed. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was just right for a relaxed lunch. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food and value for money!

This is the 3rd time we have tried the Lost Boy for food and sad to say we won’t be back, as it has disappointed each time. Such a shame as the place itself is lovely, has great outdoor seating and good selection of drinks but the food is awful. This time we tried a Sunday roast as had seen some good reviews but can’t understand why, the portion size if small, think I had 2 roast potatoes on the plate which were rock hard and the flattest yorkshire pudding i’ve ever seen, which was also too hard to eat. You only get 2 slices of beef on the plate and most of it was fat. We had 2 friends with us who have just moved to the area and had been hoping to find a good local pub for food but unfortunately were also not impressed with their meals. So much potential here to do well as it’s a lovely venue but please don’t waste your money on food unless they make some changes. We certainly will not be returning and neither will our friends.

Had Sunday Lunch today, belly pork, truly dreadful the chef should be ashamed. The belly pork was tasteless and the crackling soggy. The roast potatoes looked and tasted like they were days old and the carrots cooked to destruction. The best for last the coli cheese had no cheese or Dijon mustard in the bechamel which wasn't cooked enough to remove the taste of flour. A shocking effort for £23:00.I can think of a dozen places in Farnham I could have eaten better at half the price. A dreadful effort with no love of the ingredients.

We brought my mum for lunch today. We are fairly recent visitors, but she did comment how much she enjoyed her experience! Grace & Kelly looked after us very well, thank you very much. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I’ve been here before in the summer and it was quite nice to sit out in the gardens and have the pizza which was decent. I came again today and it was pretty terrible… the service was awful because they seemed to be very understaffed for the number of customers. We asked several staff members for a table of which there were plenty free just not cleaned yet. Once we finally got a table after 15 minutes of waiting we were seated at the sofas which were not ideal for dining. The chairs were too low for the tables and the dead flowers behind us were attracting a lot of fruit flies so it just wasn’t a pleasant place to be sitting. I’m sure some of the other seats there would’ve been nicer. My friend ordered the calzone and I had a chicken pasta, both dishes were extremely bland so we asked for some salt. One waitress brought over a salt shaker which turned out to be empty, I then asked for another but again it was empty. There was one nice waitress who did keep checking in on us but most of the other staff were rude and avoidant. The food was also quite overpriced for what it was and I proceeded to feel a bit sick after eating. Very disappointing!

I went on a monday night expecting it to be quite empty. It was full. The ambience is perfect. The food was also good. However, my meal came out early compared to my husband's meal where we needed to chase which was disappointing. Other than that, food was good and we had a great evening - thank you! Sharing some other dishes from a lunch that was recently had aswell.

Called in on a Tuesday for a light lunch. Virtually empty inside, a few people in the garden. We waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken. Another 20 minutes plus for our food to arrive, and so it went on. I could understand if the place had been busy, but it was far from it. Even paying the bill was problematic, with no apology for the delay. Food was OK, but service appalling.

Appallingly over priced food and drink and they lump a service charge in. Small portions, huge wait for food and stuff forgotten from order. If I could have given it 0 I would have.

Whilst the food was ok. We were not happy paying £23 service when the service just consisted of delivering the food. Many times we ran out of drinks but nobody asked if we wanted more. We were asked many times if we had ordered food we had not. All in all no service provided, what a Shame.

We were served by Bethan who was brilliant - really attentive and efficient. Food was great - totally worth the price. Lovely atmosphere both in the inside and outside areas of the restaurant. Would recommend the small plates and the harissa chicken burger!

Lively and well-presented bar with large garden. Great for medium-sized gatherings. Food was nice but on the pricey side, and drinks were ok and on the very pricey side. I’d return for the location, but not necessarily for the value. Service was great all round.

Well….. where do I start!! Booked a table for our ladies group and we managed to get a lovely table out in the garden. The garden was lovely, great space and even had its own bar , wow, what a bonus! We where served mainly by 2 lovely waitresses, Hannah and another lady,( name slipped my mind, sorry) They were both very efficient and friendly and where always around when needed We were asked for drinks orders whilst we all arrived and menus given We had several nice cocktails and then ordered food; 4 pizzas and 2 roasts Everything was delicious and fresh, pizzas looked amazing and my roast was delicious, lovely homemade yorkies, asked for extra gravy with mine which was quickly sent out too We were all too full for desserts today but know to leave room next time as was very tempted Overall a great experience with great staff and fantastic food, we WILL be returning shortly, thank you to all involved

Popped in for a drink. Nice building on the outside, but considerably knocked about and modernised on the inside so has lost a lot of original atmosphere. Drinks a little expensive £16 for a small gin and tonic and a pint. The staff looked as if they were on the run down at the end of the day. (8:30 ish). Lots of used glasses on the bar and tables in need of a wipe. Would try again and perhaps experience a different side to the pub.

Beautiful building and gardens with great atmosphere and very decent food. Let down by being a little pricey for what you get and inattentive/disorganised service. The fact they've followed the trend of adding a 10% service charge to all tables regardless of size (no doubt in the hope that we're all too British to ask for it to be removed) stings twice as much as a result. While our server didn't quibble the request to have it taken off, it certainly leaves a sour taste.

My girlfriend and I recently attended the Lost Boy upon hearing several recommendations. The menu had a good variety, we selected the ham hock and garlic prawns for the two starters. Both were tasty, the garlic prawns were probably at the top of the price point deemed acceptable (slight running theme). The starters were followed by Porchetta, and my girlfriend had a mushroom chicken pasta. The porchetta was nice, as was the pasta. Service was good and the staff were pleasant. This place has good food, but it is exactly that, good. Some dishes on the menu are a tad overpriced and £7 a pint is probably the top end of what you want to pay. Nevertheless it is a pleasant establishment and I would be back.

Fancied a pint on way home. They sold beer so had one in here. Staff polite and friendly. Pub tidy and clean. Didnt expect to have to buy the brewery when i paid for a guinness but suppose thats getting normal now.

We called in without a reservation and were warmly welcomed and seated without any fuss. The waitress was attentive and was very efficient. There was a good selection of cuisines and the pizzas were freshly prepared and portion sizes were excellent. Price was reasonable and the food was served hot and promptly. There is a garden which is well appointed and would be pleasant for al-fresco dining. Would happily return when I next visit Farnham.

Actually decided to go here after googling pubs not showing the football. Unfortunately for google, this isn't really a pub - much more a restaurant. Having said that, we did have a drink and the Guinness was not bad and the London Pride was very acceptable as well. The staff were polite and friendly.

This is the second time we have been in the last month and both times have been so disappointing. This place has all the right aesthetics to make it great, yet it seems to always fall short on the service side. After ordering drinks, one of the beers arrived with black bits around the entire rim of the glass. I kindly said to the manager, who was walking past at that time, oh do you mind swapping this out as it’s dirty around the top of the glass. He rolled his eyes and said that it was just the water they wash it with (worrying), either way I expect a clean glass when ordering a drink. He didn’t apologise and made me feel like it was my fault for being fussy that my glass was dirty. Very odd. On the last two occasions I have visited, each time, half of the food has been delivered with various apologies oh why the other half is delayed. Today we ordered 3x pizzas and then a salad and fries to accompany the pizzas. The salad and fries arrived 20 minutes after the pizzas, which by that time we had finished. They took the salad and fries off the bill. It’s a shame as the pizzas were tasty. Our waiter was apologetic, but gave us excuses and reasons to why our food wasn’t ready. I said that we had same thing happened 2 weeks prior. He then said oh yes we were short staffed 2 weeks ago and that everyone is new and in training. Not really what you want to hear. We also heard a couple of other tables complaining around us about various things, food being delayed, drinks being delayed.

We booked very last minute (2 hours before) & when we arrived they had a terrible water leak all over the indoor restaurant floor, we had to walk all around the front to get to the garden area passing men working on sewers so not nice. This had clearly been a problem during the morning & yet no one informed us this was the case. Service was slow, I appreciate it was Fathering Sunday but they should have been prepared for this. I actually felt they should have closed down, not the most hygienic having work done on sewers whilst people dined albeit 10 metres away. For the high prices I would expect exceptional service, our food order was wrong, the starter arrived with main course but we’d waited so long so just accepted it. The staff were clearly rushed off their feet which I don’t feel is their fault, management should have taken control. Then a senior staff member came out & barked so rudely & unprofessionally at the young waiters in front of customers it made us feel embarrassed for the waiters. Our food was not even cleared away from the table at any point, we even stayed for a coffee & not cleared. The food was delicious but I won’t be visiting again. I understand it was a difficult day & everyone under stress but in reality they should not have taken our booking if they were too pushed due to the emergency. There has to be consideration to their staff & building limitations rather than just keep bringing in the cash.

Yeah alright. Nice looking pub. Bar pretty small for the amount of covers. Fair selection of drinks. Staff friendly enough but in no rush to get the drinks to you. Lovely outside when the sun decides to show its face. Or lovely if you enjoy sitting in the rain actually.

This was a really poor experience. We left before we could even eat our mains as we waited for 1 hour and 30 mins and it was not even busy ! I found the staff quite rude and we were literally ignored by them even after waiting as long as we did. My 19 year old daughter was treated like a 15 yr old after asking for a glass of wine. They said she could have a “small one”. All around bad, good for just drinks but the service was terrible.

We were seated in the pretty conservatory and enjoyed a delicious meal with friendly service. I particularly appreciated my Sticky Toffee pudding, I had a salad for my main course so I was allowed!

Boy. You are so Lost… did not even make it to the food stage. No waiter ever arrived. So we left.

Last 6 months has seen a huge improvement in quality of food over a year ago. Portions seems bigger and much much better. With that, it's also got much busier, so service at the bar can be slow, and often fully booked.

'Hannah was an absolute dream waitress from start to finish - as our table had lots of allergies , she had gone through the menu beforehand to help with what would be most preferable- checked with chefs to suit our needs & even had a starter amended for my mum! she checked in throughout the entirety of the meal and made our dining experience Uber enjoyable! Having worked in hospitality before - I understand how full on it can be , especially on a Sunday lunchtime! so a massive thank you to Hannah for making our lunch so much fun! would definitely come back purely just from the service provided!! side note - food was absolutely superb and the best roast I’ve had in a while!

Nice location, adjacent car park, not expensive. Service very good, polite and efficient. Food was OK, we had brunch , bacon, egg and advocado was good, toast was a bit dry and crunchy. Coffee was excellent.

Had a lovely lunch here with some, lady friends. The food was gorgeous. We had to ask for some things (water, spoons and condiments) several times before getting them.

Popped in for lunch yesterday on a whim. I ordered the poached eggs avocado and sour dough toast. I asked for my eggs very well done and the avocado without the pesto etc actual put on it. And no olive oil. It arrived with 2 runny eggs and a bowl full of hard avocado chunks covered in pesto and olive oil. They redid the eggs and brought a bowl of rock hard unripe avocados all brown at the edges as if they had been cut up yesterday. Couldn’t even cut them with a knife never mind eat them. I was told they were today’s delivery and fresh. Oh yeah?? They replaced my awful meal with a salad which consisted of literally ONE lettuce leaf, some rocket, some shop bought hummus, some slimy chunks of sweet potato and some dry couscous with minute red dots of tomato and green dots of parsley. No lemon juice or anything. Just dry. And obviously I told them to forget the avocado on it. The best thing about this meal was the hummus. Probably from Waitrose. They didn’t charge us for my food and we wouldn’t have paid for it anyway. What planet is your chef on? Who serves rock hard chunks (not even slices) of unripe avocados? The waitress said she told him to cook my eggs well not runny. The presentation was appalling. My husband’s meal of fish and chips was fine fortunately. We have eaten there a few times and there is always a problem of some sort. On Mother’s Day I gave the bar a recipe for my favourite cocktail. Only 4 ingredients and they’ve made it before for me. This one had something else in it that made it undrinkable. We love the pub but until you get a competent chef we won’t be eating there again. Interesting to see similar reviews as well so I know I am not the only one!!

Been here a few times as it's a nice place, nice atmosphere and it's convenient. But the experience yesterday was again one of slow service, mediocre food, key items missing off the menu and after all that a jaw dropping bill at the end. Hope they raise their game soon.

I visited The Lost Boy this week for the first time. I ordered the Veggie breakfast and my partner ordered the avocado and eggs. The avocado on both our dishes were brown in colour and didn’t taste good at all. When I raised this with the waitress, she told me they had a pesto sauce on them and this is what had caused the colour, even though I had said, they tasted like they had gone bad, not like pesto. The waitress was quite defensive and argumentative with me, telling me it was the pesto and the avocados were not bad. She offered that the dishes could be made again, when she returned them the avocados had been replaced with ripe ones (with our request of no pesto on them).. maybe they just keep the bad avocados for this sauce so they can blame the colour for this, who knows…!? The eggs were flavourless and not very well, no seasoning and the orange juice was not fresh tasted like cheap concentrated juice which we paid £4 for. Overall.. It’s just very overpriced food for what you get. I won’t be returning here unfortunately, the venue itself is really nice, just the food and defensive staff ruin the experience.

Let me be clear.i know my food and not all fussy generally...but..Stay away from this place.i took my girlfriend here for valentine dinner.she ordered beef Wellington I ordered fish.we had no starters.the food arrived an hour and five minutes later.the beef Wellington pastry was dry and very soggy underneath..NOT pastry texture..the pancetta inside was tasteless and there was no mushroom duxelle rhat is part of the dish and the veg soggy chewy.the beef looked like pork..Grey stringy and horrible texture.my fish was dry and like rubber..potatoes were 2 day old reheated microwaved and every single item on both plates totally tasteless.the wine was house wine and was like drinking acid..cheap and horrible..it was bloody disgusting and a major disappointed for my girlfriend who was really looking forward to a decent night out with good food..I'm warning anyone who reads this..DONT waste your time going to this awful place.and by the way we were there very early with about 4 tables occupied and it took over an hour for our food to come..MAJOR LETDOWN. I paid for the 1/4 of the plate of fish I ate and the drinks.im so disappointed with myself I even paid for that.

The pub is beautiful. The servers are brilliant and very helpful. The food is served quickly, I had the Calzone with a side serving of cold tomato puree don't make this mistake please! My friend had beef bourguignon served in a cold skillet. Apparently tomato puree and limited heat are the main ingredients of both of these dishes with very little of anything else. I would say please get a Chef that knows how to cook food.
