Booked this restaurant for our daughter's birthday meal, accompanied by godparents. Greeted by friendly staff (Freddie and Daisy) who were absolutely brilliant for the whole evening. Great extensive menu with something for everyone. Drinks delivered quickly and the food served at the right time and very tasty. We enjoyed a relaxed 3 hours, eating, drinking and making merry. Based on tonight's experience we will definitely return!

Pizzas and calzone were a bit small. Service could have been quicker considering it was mostly empty. Quite echo-y and bright.

It was a Saturday afternoon; and Despite having Valentines Offers pre-Valentines! there was Only 1 person serving!! Only 1 chef too!! The food took forever to come!! "Nothing to write home about"! However, I must Recommend Harry who was delightful, hardworking & singlehandedly ran the restaurant!

The manager is behaving very bad and rude,very disappointing,and the amount of waiting time was too long,while the place was not busy at all !

Amazing spontaneous evening ! With an Allergy (anaphylaxis) finding places to eat with confidence is hard. This place made me feel so at ease talked me through it all in a subtle way. Never felt like I was a burden or annoyance.

Harry at Ask Italian was amazing, we had our three kids with us which you can imagine can be a handful and Harry was absolutely amazing with them and was kind enough to support our needs. Also good sense of humour I will give him.

Chose to visit the Haslemere Ask after recommendation.. Lots of vegan options. The service was great, Daisy and Sam were excellent and the sticky toffee pudding was the perfect finish! Will visit again.

All the staff were really nice. Food came fairly quickly and tasted amazing!

Mushrooms arrived without the garlic mayo! When we asked for it, we were told it was inside the mushrooms!!! New chicken dish, upon arrival was minus the pancetta and mushrooms. REALLY need to up their game 😳

We were really struck by the friendly and warm reception from the staff, especially from the acting manager. We were a table with two young children and a great grandpa in a wheelchair. Our needs were met without delay and with a smile! The food was absolutely delicious, and we all prepared raspberry lemonade after being treated to testers on the table

We were not welcomed from the first moment we opened the door. No opening time information. Arrived at 11.00 The waiter asked us to leave because they did not celebrate kids birthdays on that day, that day was reserved was fathers (Father’s Day) Manager please change opening times: we arrived at 11am on Sunday, because google has this information, The opening time should be 11.30am.

The most brilliant service, take your children as young as 2 there, they are all welcomed. Thank you so much.

Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, looking very festive. We were a large party and hadn’t pre booked but this wasn’t a problem. Had a very nice table, and service was excellent. Harry looked after us, he was very friendly and made sure everything went smoothly. Thank you Harry we were really impressed and all had a good time!

Amazing service! Came with a my sisters 5 kids and they were particularly accommodating. Food is actually great for a chain and it's a lovely atmosphere in general!

We were visiting the local area with friends and thought it would be nice to eat here before the two hour drive home. The welcome from the male waiter was underwhelming “have you booked?” “Sorry, no” looking around at the 3/4 empty restaurant “will have to see if we have space” then didn’t look at anything, but took us to a table for ten (we were a group of six). The children were brought menus with avtivities and things to colour in but they didn’t have enough crayons for us and the ones they gave were empty. Had to wait a long while for someone to take our order; a very overworked waitress who seemed to be waiting every table in there. The kids starters arrived before our drinks, they didn’t clear plates in between courses, we had to keep asking for new cutlery, we didn’t get a second round of drinks as everything took too long and was impossible to catch the waitress who was rushed off her feet. None of the plates came out together: something was always delayed. We had to ask for missing plates. It wasn’t particularly busy, I wouldn’t say, but they did seem understaffed and rushed and overworked. Was disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend.

Not for adults 😂. The food is actually not too bad but the restaurant has the atmosphere and acoustics of a public swimming pool at half term. Self service is a great new addition because this an area of historically poor capability.

Unfortunately this was a very disappointing visit. Although it was extremely busy, they did not seem to have enough staff, and those there didn’t appear to know what they were doing. Took more than 5 minutes stood at the door before even getting acknowledged, then few more minutes before being seated. After 10mins sat at the table, when nobody had come to take our order, we ordered via the app (not really what I want to do when eating in a restaurant). An hour after arriving, our starters arrived but still no sign of drinks, so had to ask for them. Waitress came back with 2/3 of the drinks, the remaining one didn’t come until a good 5 minutes after we’d finished the starters! 45 minutes after we’d ordered, a different waitress brought over our drinks, that we’d by this time already had and said she didn’t know what was going on tonight (not very professional but we later discovered she was new). We were still sat with dirty plates on the table around 20 minutes after finishing our starters. Then the waitress came to check if that was our starter or main and thankfully cleared the plates. Another 15 minutes later, and we finally got our main dishes, with the waitress telling us they’d completely run out of pizza (not something we had ordered). Unfortunately, though mine was actually nice (beef pappardelle), my partners was cold (pollo Milanese). He said it tasted nice but was stone cold. On top of this, the tables were so sticky that our arms/sleeves kept sticking to it. And the toilets had no toilet roll in them. Having chatted to another customer while waiting for the toilet, we were not alone in our poor experience. She said that they were going to be late for a show they were going to afterwards and were having to consider asking for their food to be put straight in takeaway boxes rather than on plates! I wonder if the introduction of takeaway/delivery options is negatively impacting on the restaurant service they are able to provide. Or perhaps they just don’t have enough, well trained staff. Either way, it was not worth the cost on this occasion.

Went here yesterday lunchtime I with my friend There was only one other couple in the restaurant when we arrived. We have visited before and had issues with flies. The food came and was very poor more like school dinners no care taken about presentation. My friend had a dry stodgy pasta dish ! The food looks nothing like the photos online. Had issue with flies again. Never going back there ! No wonder we were the only people in the restaurant

Very disappointing meal. Pasta was tasteless. Don't bother, there are far better Italian restaurants than this.

Picked up a takeaway last Saturday .The food was waiting for me in the heated cupboard. Went back to the car and checked I had all that I had ordered. Good job I did. Had one main meal missing so had to go back and wait for another. Why oh why do they put the desserts in the hot oven too . My Tiramisu was a runny mess . They did provide me with another COLD slice .

The service was very good, but unfortunately the food was cold when brought to us,when there was plenty of staff around and we could see the food on the side while waiting for it, we weren’t told that one of the meals wasn’t available after 30 minutes of ordering after receiving our starters. And still charged an absurd amount of money for what we got. Was really disappointed in this as we normally only ever have good things to say. Was not happy

Quite simply the poorest standard food one could imagine . Virtually all our orders were untouched as a result,this was completely unnoticed by the staff Says it all !!!

Lovely restaurant, could have done with some more staff on the night as everyone seemed very rushed. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, but there was quite a wait for anything that needed a waiter or waitress for. The food was excellent and the place was clean and the tables were well spaced out.

Honestly haven't eaten at a ASK Italian since pre Covid. But im genuinely actually surprised how fantastic my experience was. Food was outstanding, staff were incredible and it was very clean and well decorated inside. Id highly recommend!

It's a fabulous place to eat. The food is so yummy. Staff very friendly. Prices are fair. I like the seasonal changes to the menue, and their homemade lemonade.

Will never go to Italy again - don’t need to after our night at ASK in Haslemere! Beautiful food, lovely summery drinks, and great service - especially from Harry who told us all about the unique purple pesto!

I recently had a fantastic family meal at ASK Italian in Haslemere! The staff were very welcoming, and the food was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that left us very impressed!

Ate here last night as a group of 4, absolutely awful experience. The chicken was awful, the sea bass was cold, and the service poor. We had to ask 3 times for water, no apology that they kept forgetting(it was extremely hot). We had only just finished our main meals when the waiter immediately put the bill into middle of the table even though we’d not asked for it! To make matters worse, there was very loud entertainment at the restaurant just opposite (appreciate this may have been out of Ask’s control, but we couldn’t hear each!). Won’t be visiting again!

Lovely delicate, tasty pasta dishes. Very friendly service. Shots of pink lemonade were fun for the 9 year old with us. Lovely decor.

Walked in at 8.30pm for a quick meal. There was nobody front of house to greet, just 2 staff leant against the back wall of the bar. I asked for a table and was told that they were closed. The official closing time was 10pm, no sign on the door and the restaurant was about a third full. I was then told they had been too busy and were closing early. The two staff were completely disinterested and came across as unprofessional. Not a good way to run a restaurant.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I ordered the chicken Milanese. And what came was a soggy piece of chicken with a gravy tasting mushroom sauce. Staff weren’t very intensive at all. It’s like they wanted us out. They ignored that I left my whole main then made me pay for the whole thing. Definitely wouldn’t Recommend to anyone!!

I definitely would recommend ask Italian as the food and service is very good. As soon as you sit down you get complimentary raspberry lemonade. And the food is nice and big and definitely very tasty! Waiter was very nice to us as well!

My friend found a very long, curly blonde hair in her soda water and when it was politely and quietly pointed out to the manager he simply snatched the glass away ( with no apology ) and then returned with a half full glass of soda water which was plonked onto the table. They had obviously just tipped the original drink into a fresh glass. When presented with the bill my friend politely asked whether they would consider removing the cost of the soda as a gesture of goodwill. We were surprised that this was not offered in the first instance. The manager ( Nathan ) said that he had no control with hair flying around in the air..... snatched the bill and it was returned later minus the cost for the soda. We both work locally and it is a great shame that one member of staff has now given the restaurant a bad name. We won't ever be returning as they simply do not deserve the business. More staff training required.

Service was not good … the staff were never available (always in the bar)… when you did get their attention it was as if you were the problem. The food was very disappointing… the pasta was stodgy and overcooked, the prawns were dry, and the bruschetta was on toast?? All in all a very disappointing evening. Haslemere at the moment doesn’t give Ask a lot of competition & there isn’t a lot of choice but still the restaurant is empty…. I think you need to up your game!!

First visit here with girlfriends for a catch up. Lovely friendly staff. Great food, relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be choosing this Italian in Haslemere next time.

The decor of the restaurant was lovely, the menu had a really nice mix of items so there was definitely something for everyone. However, our waitress Kiley was super rude. It felt like she didn’t want us to be there and she just didn’t care about us as a table. Once we had received our food no one came to check on us to make sure we were okay, we tried to call Kiley over to order new drinks she just looked/turned away. We were sat there for at least 20mins with our empty plates in front of us before we didn’t want to wait any longer for someone to check on us, so called over for the bill but didn’t get a response- she simply walked away and got the bill and put it on the table corner without saying a word. 2 mins later she came back to take our payment but my friend had gone to the toilet so we asked if we could wait a minute until she was back. Kiley then came back a while later and had a go at us for not telling her we had Tesco vouchers- when nobody had checked on us or even asked us. All of us on the table have had multiple years experience working in hospitality along with customers using Tesco clubcard vouchers and there is no rule about having to announce them prior to the bill being printed(like Kiley said) we understand that it may be preferred but we were never asked. We understood that everyone has bad days but that’s not an excuse to treat your tables with zero respect and to be rude. It was almost as if she was telling us off when we are no chance children and she would never have the authority to do such a thing. Each table should be treated equally. We felt disrespcted and unwelcome. Even though the food was delicious, the decor was lovely and the manager who welcomed us at the door was very friendly, none of us will be revisiting after the experience Kiley left us with.

Never had a bad meal here. Good food, fast service, reasonable prices. As for people complaining about the quality and temperature of their Deliveroo orders, what do you expect?!
