Pleasant surroundings, decent sized cup of coffee, some cafes seem to be using doll’s house cups these days. The toast was awful, barely browned (saving fuel?) , huge thickness, completely tasteless. Don’t know why some cafes serve “artisan” bread, might it be so that they can charge what they do under the guise of being different from your average bread. Well, it was certainly that…

My husband, daughter and I called in for a hot drink and an ice cream sundae on Friday afternoon. A pleasant young man showed us to a table. We waited 30 minutes to be asked what we would like and then it took around the same time for 2 hot drinks and an ice cream to finally arrive! We were at the point of walking out. Who knows how long it would have taken if we had ordered hot food! It would appear there were others waiting the same length of time too and orders weren’t coming out in order they were taken. There seemed to be lots of staff just hanging around and no system in place. Very disappointing.

A true gem. Beautiful vistas, phenomenal food, excellent value. A beacon to others, they deserve every accolade. Didn't want to review or share for selfish reasons, 5 star.

The food was absolutely excellent and the service was good. Great value for money and a chilled visit. Went for afternoon tea as a birthday treat with my mum and we both enjoyed it.

Took the family here while shopping in Preston. I love good Pizza so that’s what we went for. Warm welcome by the friendly staff. The restaurant is clean and modern. We ordered and the pizzas arrived quickly. They were spot on.

Really nice guy, cooked me food when he was about to close. It's a shame that the business is closing/changing owners

After finding out both of the Chinese buffets had been closed we wandered upon this little place, so we thought we'd give it a go . What an absolute mistake that was. Our first clues should have been that the place was empty, our second clues should have been that the menu is only in Chinese with very little English on it, our third clue should have been when the waiter was unable to translate what was on the menu. Our fourth clue should have probably been the first three things we asked for they didn't have .So once we had deciphered the menu we had to wait a considerable amount of time to actually get the meals and when we did my partner's came considerably sooner than mine, I was left telling him to eat because the gap was so large his was getting cold. He had some sort of soup and sweet and sour chicken. When mine came I was in utter disbelief . My lamb kebabs were the most skinniest, minimalist things I don't even think I could have called it a kebab! More like strings of meat and they were considerably spicy which was not mentioned in the menu (in the little english it had) or waiter. It was about this point when they showed up with the drinks we had ordered more or less when we came in, they did apologise to be fair that they'd forgot but considering we were the only people in the restaurant I'd figure we were pretty hard to forget about, they didn't offer glasses either. 5-10 minutes later they show up with my apparently 'roast potatoes', crisps, we call them. It genuinely was as if they'd emptied some walkers into a bowl and popped them under the grill. To my dismay two Chinese looking gents walked in and their meal looked absolutely amazing! Also, I hope you can eat with chop sticks as no other cutlery was provided (even for very sloppy looking noodle soup)Their English was very poor, so poor they couldn't even translate their own menu I think they should really consider taking some English lessons considering they are so close to the university and would have so much potential for business from it .The whole meal itself cost just shy of £29 and I left hungry, disappointed and in utter disbelief, I am genuinely surprised my partner paid for it I thought he would have put in a complaint and told them not a chance in hell. You could not pay me to return to this place and I wouldn't recommend it as far as I could throw it.
