Eaten there many times now..as it my local..can't fault it...

The pub is ok but the prices take the piss and the parking does too... on a busy day it completely takes away all parking for locals and the businesses across the road..

Good place to rest and eat after a bike ride.

Friendly atmosphere and great Thai food. Sundays, they now have a new menu for the summer months. Pool table and TV sports also. There is also a monthly music quiz and just started, a monthly pub quiz. Both very popular. Best to book a table. In addition, it has a great 'beer garden'.

Comfy place. Lounge and public bar, Thai food in evening (not Sunday), Sunday roasts, garden, easy street parking, efficient staff - short waits even when busy. Fairly expensive drinks. And no WiFi without giving your life history away. For drinks much cheaper to go to The New Oak.

Sorry, been coming here for Thai take out for years as the food is great. Last 2 times the rice portion has been negligible. I questioned it tonight and they said they now reduce the portion as food prices have increased. They also advertise 8 mini spring rolls and we always get 7. However, our payment has gone up by £5 for our order so think that more than covers increasing food prices and not happy they are sneakily reducing portions. For pad Thai, yellow curry with veg and 7 mini spring rolls pictured and now a measly bit of rice we paid £27.50. We will be taking our business to the equally nice Thai at seven dials that are much better value and portions. Shame

The pub itself was quite good, the food we had was very good, the thing that let it down for us was there is no disabled access or disabled facilities, and being as my husband is in a wheelchair he had to get out of his chair and then up the steps and then we had to lift his chair up the steps so he could then get around parts of the pub.

Food was good for lunchtime but getting to expensive for a small portion.

This place is getting more expensive every freaking time I am there! £11+ for a glass ow wine! Certainly not value for money. No wonder people are drinking at home more.

If you want a decent Sunday roast you should visit the Wilmy (as we know it!). Lucky that it is our local, we often indulge ourselves with the pork roast. We did yesterday and it was one of the best roasts we've enjoyed out. Wonderful crackling, tasty, tender melt in your mouth pork, with crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside roasties and REALLY good gravy (always get extra in a jug). I would prefer more cauliflower cheese instead of having beetroot and the kale/cabbage to be cooked a little more but minor niggles really. We had an hour wait for our food without warning, which has happened before. Don't mind as it was great food, but it would be so much better to be warned about the wait. We deliberately booked for 3.00pm to avoid the brighton footie supporters but they were still really busy. Book to avoid disappointment!

This visit was to give the pub a second chance as we'd had a poor experience on our first visit. The food was really tasty and hot - roast beef was tender and a good mix of veg. The service has improved as there is now table service. The person who took our order was lovely and let us know there would be a wait of about 30 minutes for our food which was fine. We don't mind waiting as long as we are told. The only downside was we had booked for 3 and were told when we turned up that we'd booked for 2 - he was quite insistent but luckily I had a confirmation email - I felt like we might have had a problem otherwise as they were very busy. After being offered a table by the door in a cold draught or a table in a dark little room by the pool table we finally got a decent table. The day was saved by the food and the person who took our order.

On a quiet Tuesday we went to the newly refurbished Pub for a Thai lunch. We loved the comfortable chairs. The food was excellent as usual and the value for money is always exceptional. We often meet up as a family in the evening as you can afford to take your turn and treat everyone. The prices are so reasonable. And you never have the dilemma of what to have for dessert as they don't do them!!

Beer cold, food great but bar staff appalling.

Greasy fish and chips and very overpriced... Paid over £3 for a lime and soda. £3.50 for an appetizer and £16 for a below average fish and chips

Webt there during a visit to our relatives. A fine local pub. Cordial staff. Nice selection of beers and wines. Cozy indoors and lovely outdoors. We didn't try it, but the smell of Thai food was very tempting. The menu seemed very interesting. Will come back to sample it at some point.

I visited this pub on a trip to Brighton with friends who live locally and have been before. A very old-fashioned pub but a good choice of drinks although it was surprisingly expensive for a suburban pub.

Went here yesterday for a drink and Thai food with my partner. We are in the area for a few days looking after a nieces cat ! We've been to Thailand on numerous occasions, so we know something of the food, and were intrigued to find a pub near to where we are staying that served Thai food. We weren't disappointed. I had a Massaman curry ( my favourite ), and it was as good or even better than the curries I've eaten on our travels. The beef was tender, and the portion large enough. My partner had chicken satay and wok fried vegetables, and she really enjoyed her meal. Prices were very competitive, service was quick and professional. We ate in the beer garden. Recommended.

At the end of a long day with DoE, we ended up looking for a dog friendly place to eat with Peking around as we were driving a big van. Research and the mention of Thai menu brought us to The Long Man of Wilmington. We arrived after 9pm and walked in to ask if they were still serving food and whether they allow dog in (you never know) We got a big smiley yes on the dogs and “for another 10 minutes” on the food. Starters and mains with drink for 2 just over £40. Very decent portions and really nice food. It was exactly what we needed to warm us up and came at the right amount and price. The Long Man of Wilmington is a nice looking pub, with friendly staff and customers, serving decent food. Do pay a visit if you are around.

This place is a real find. Really authentic. Does. Small menu really well. Proper Chinese food is so misunderstood in this country, and a lot of “Chinese” places serve food you’d never find in China. Not this place. I had the cold noodles and a pork bun. Absolutely delicious. I spend 5 months eating my way around China. I was transported back eating this lovely food. It’s not somewhere for a posh romantic meal, but for some lovely, authentic, tasty, different food to fill your belly, come here. Especially good after a couple of beers!

Cheapy Chicken is amazing. Incredible to find a restaurant that is absolutely empty on a crowded high street! Their amazing economy prices totally made me ignore the lack of colour in the batter and the weird smell emanating from beneath the pavement outside, because it was full flavour. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you've had a few too many, and feel the need for some cheap chicken... May even help you clear out for the morning to give you a clear start to the day!

Went here on May Day on one of our few days off for afternoon tea, was nice but the China was a bit old and tatty and it didn't match, the pictures looked a lot better. The food its self was nice and it was relaxing....until the drunks come outside for a fag!

Great atmosphere, good selection of beers and ales. Traditional pub, with a pool room, tvs to watch sports and a lounge, excellent staff, they arrange a bus to take regulars to the Albion games at the Amex, for a small charge, but so nice to start the football experience with a pint before leaving to go to the ground, and of course a return too. Plenty of outside seating and space. There is a Thai restaurant as part of the pub, although I haven't tried the food yet.

One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been! Totally recommended!

A truly beautiful building inside and out with original fittings, a calm friendly atmosphere, good beer and good Thai food. My only regret is that the extraordinary stained glass pillar on the roof doesn't seem to illuminate the bar, but that shouldn't put you off a lunchtime pint or two!

I have eaten here many times however today I was underwhelmed with the food. The squid was tough and my pad Thai was flavourless and the chicken was chewy. Although the staff are always lovely to talk to I was surrounded by young men that seemed to to think it was ok to swear twice in every sentence. This is not a pub for the family and the food has definitely gone down hill Not my best experience of somewhere I usually like to eat. Also what with the plates? I felt like a child eating off a plastic plate 😕 Not a pub for the family 🥺

BEST THAI I HAVE EVER EATEN. I'm super fussy when it comes to Thai food as alot of places are chains but this is so authentic I was pleasantly surprised when first eating here everything piping hot chicken is actually good chicken and food is just yummy!!!!!!😋😋😋 I will be a returning customer

Outdoor seating area is very nice, both shaded and sunny areas. Unfortunately the roast dinner didn't have much flavour. Overall under seasoned on the potatoes, pork belly crackling was soft and pigs in blankets come on a plate soaked in gravy.

Friendly service, in a nicely "socially distanced" beer garden are reason enough to visit, but the Thai Food is reason enough to stay.

Fantastic Thai food, we have been ordering to collect most weeks since they reopened during the first lockdown! I phone ahead with my order, am given an accurate time to come down and pick it up! Great Chicken Pad Thai and Tofu stir fry with cashew nuts! Handling covid restrictions very well, feel very safe picking my order up! No photo of the food I’m afraid as we were too keen to eat!! 😄

This was the first place in patcham I really felt welcome, its was one of Dave's first and best with a great community and atmosphere but since the manager changed it has gone downhill, the food is sub par compared to others that are in the area, it's expensive for a bad collection of drink options and all the staff have left due to a short and rude manager that makes regulars below 45 feel unwelcome, I was a loyal everyday regular for years but I wont be a customer ahain until the manager changes again , I'll still frequent other pubs that dave owns because he does a great job, gavin can suck a long one on a step ladder though

이 곳에서 처음 선데이로스트 먹었는데 일요일만 되면 선데이로스트가 먹고 싶어진다. 여기서 포스터라는 맥주를 처음 알게 되었는데 내가 마셨던 한국의 맥주들은 쓰레기라는걸 알게 되었다. 다음부터 한국에서는 소주만 마셔야지. 추구보기 너무 좋구 분위기도 가족 단위로 많이 와서 편안한 분위기다. 가게가 바와 식당으로 나뉘어있어 다양한 분위기를 즐길 수 있다. 아 또 가고싶다.
