I had a donner kebab. It was nice. Atmosphere was good and service was great.

I ordered a kebab meal online. The site said delivery was 60 minutes, but it took closer to 90. This seems quite long to me. When the food arrived, the delivery driver refused to come into the apartment block and I had to go get it myself. This is unusual practice: Deliveroo, Uber Eats etc all come to your door. The food wasn’t very warm when it arrived. Presentation was satisfactory. The chicken was cooked well. It tasted fine. The food had been made an hour ago and got into the state it arrived in due to being driven around for ages, or it had been sitting in the shop. I know this because the paper covering the food was soaking wet, meaning steam from the food had a long time to dampen it. It’s not terrible, and maybe it’s better when collected in person. It’s just not “great”. Moving forward, delivery times need a drastic reduction to make sure the food is hot and as well presented as it is when it leaves the shop. I wouldn’t order delivery from Marmaris again, but I would try them again if I lived closer and could collect. Full disclosure: I was asked by the delivery driver to leave a review. Response to business reply: To be told "it's not possible for your food to be late" when I waited 90 minutes isn't good enough. If you weren't busy, why did it take so long? Stop making excuses.

Great customer service. I accidentally placed an online order for collection instead of delivery. Mamaris called me because I hadn’t collected and when I realised my mistake, they agreed to deliver.

EDIT 2: I don't come from "the office next to you"..? I don't even live on the same street, and always order online. They are now resorting to making up stories! There was never any warning of delays, either. I am happy to one day try this place again, but the blatant lies are putting me off. EDIT 1: I have to knock another star off my review as it's clear they're now paying for reviews, or enticing customers with a free meal or something if they come here to review. Over 15 positive reviews in 2 days? This place has never had this pattern of feedback before in the past, even when the feedback was negative, and wants to try erase legitimate criticism. Original review is below and remains accurate. Marmaris has gone downhill. For 2 years, I've ordered the same chicken shish meal deal with no problems and I loved it. However, the past 3 orders have turned up late, the food cold, and the portions/presentation substantially worse. My last order took exactly 2 hours to arrive, and I live 15 minutes away. I used to love this place and never order anywhere else. But the quality has slipped too many times for it to be a coincidence. It's no longer worth the money.

we've ordered from here loads and it's always our go to for tasty food and big portions. My husband likes that they serve rice as an alternative to pitta and I really like the chicken doner which not all places do. We occasionally get freebies too which is always a win!

I always go to this Kebab takeaway. I think they are the best in Town! They are always very friendly and do the food exactly as you like. We always go for the chicken Shish kebab which is very tasty. I recommend them if you want good quality takeaway food.

I went to this kebab shop being skeptical about the quality of food, however it exceeded all expectations. After being served by the 2 most kind and generous people, who also gave me a free drink I was presented with the most delicious kebab I have ever seen. Would recommend this place to anyone, not to mention the very reasonable prices, will be coming again.

Was down Brighton way and stumbled across this great Turkish kebab house with super tasty and fresh as can be food. Stop here it’s excellent.

All very good but the chips were over cooked

I bought a kebab from here and it tasted awful.. the pitta was burnt and crispy, the doner meat was overcooked and dry and overall was the worst kebab I’ve eaten. I rang up to tell them this when I got home and they didn’t care to listen or offer a replacement, they was just rude and abrupt. Avoid.

I never received my order. I paid £22 Phone the restaurant up and man couldn’t even talk English so couldn’t understand but I worked out he was saying they rang me loads of times and I question him why would you ring me when you have my address it wasn’t like they could t get to my front door then the guy kept putting phone down I lost out on food that night I would t order from these I will never again lucky just eat payed my money back but bet they get to keep that not haooy

Food was horrendous, my donner meat was dry and had about 5 bits in total. Chips we ordered were cold and rock hard. Partners cheesey chips were rock hard and the cheese wasn't melted. Such a shame as the food isn't usually like this.

I have also ordered from here for years but this is my last time! The man does not understand me when I ring to order! I wanted 2 mixed kebabs but in the end due to poor communication I settled for two large donors! The cost 20 pounds for the two delivered! I didn’t take a picture to show you but it has gone down hill sadly and customer service I would mark 1/2 percentage out of 10 shockingly bad and rude! I will not order again another bites the dust 😢

Sunday 31st of March 2024 late evening we ordered from Marmaris who we ordered from before and trusted . Sadly on delivery, chicken kebab smelled terrible , risk to eat too great. Phoned immediate, asked they collect to see for themselves , food poison I. Question or explain to us why terrible smell. They said they believe us as never had issue , also said 17 sold same day no problems, well ours was and they should immediately investigate , they said would refund in 3 days time , won’t collect food ,worry indeed. I said my ci cern is something very wrong, they said throw away ,will refund. Sadly , lied to get me off phone, I trusted them & being almost 80 yrs old with health issue and fasting , this was to break fast , to be so dishonest, not refund is shame for them,they know this too . Very sad and upset trust given ,thinking no consequence ,clearly they did not believe,nor had intention to refund. £17.92.

Arrived 1 and a half hours after ordering. on app it said on it's way for 15mins still didn't arrive. I rang and was told on it's way again but but still didn't arrive for another 30mins. When eventually arrived, food was congealed and lukewarm. I was very upset, hungry and disappointed. I want a refund as food was not edible.

Like other people, I have been ordering from Marmaris for years and have never had any complaints. Unfortunately the last two times I have ordered the food has taken two hours and one hour 15 minutes to be delivered. When I called up to ask where the food was and how much longer it was going to be, the phone was put down on me. Last night's order of a doner kebab, mixed doner and chips and doner and chips was the worst take away we have ever had. The kebab meat on all three was burnt, crispy and cold and the cheesy chops were cold with unmelted cheese on them. The chicken kebab in the mixed doner was also overcooked and crispy. Needless to say, after many years of buying our kebabs from Marmaris we will not be back. Overpriced, very poor quality, long delivery times and poor customer service.

The most disgusting chicken sish kebab last night, usually my favourite place to get a kebab but yesterday it was like they'd heated up pre cooked chicken from tesco and dipped in vinegar Will not ge using again

To echo what others have said recently, this place has gone massively downhill in the past year or so. I've been ordering from Marmaris for 5 years and for about 3-4 years it was reasonably priced and great quality, whereas now the quality of the ingredients is poor and it's too expensive to justify. As others have experienced, my last 3 orders have turned up cold and not tasted too good at all. The chips have been stone cold each time and the cheese on the chips hasn't melted and tastes slightly sour. To top it off, when the guy delivered my food he told me that they, "don't usually deliver this far out, but they accepted my order for tonight as a one off" and then advised me to not order again. I was dumbfounded at hearing that and could only laugh. I've ordered from them for 5 years, using their own website directly which applies a delivery fee based on location, yet now suddenly I'm told not to do so anymore? Crazy. According to Google maps, it takes 8 minutes to drive from the shop to my house... Anyway, I won't ever order from here again and it's time to find a new Kebab place! Avoid like the plague.

Since it's been taken over it has gone from bad to worse lamb is always dry and chewy pitta is usually burnt hardly any sauce. The chicken fillet burgers are dry and over cooked and the customer service is non existent. oh and dont think if you order a delivery for it to be brought to your door as apparently they dont access buildings to deliver to your door

Don’t even deserve a star. Got my donor and was like crispy bacon and oily. Rang them and all I got was abuse before the phone was put down on me. I’ll never use them again. I warn you all stay well clear!!!

Today only one person working in the shop so had to wait till he had done all the phone orders by the time my chicken was placed in a tray it was dry and over cooked and the pita was burnt and very dry and the portion size has been reduced I have been using this kebab shop for five years but today is the last time it’s no longer value for money at nearly £16 for two small shish kebabs

This place used to be the place to get a decent kebab but after ordering tonight it’s completely changed the doner meat was dry and crispy and the cheesy chips weren’t even melted just created cheese chucked on top of cold chips

Something dodgy is going on here, has this place changed management or are they sending food from a different place? Used to be fantastic. Ordered online and received tiny portions, with missing items. I wouldn’t mind, but for the price we paid it’s unacceptable. Food was also cold and poor quality. Will have to find a new place.

I used to order from Marmaris very regularly. However I will no longer be ordering going forward. Last 3 orders, the food has turned up extremely late, clap cold, portion size completely inconsistent and quality of ingredients dropped off massively. What has happened? Change of ownership? I will unfortunately no longer be ordering from them.
