Fantastic Sunday Lunch, the food was beautifully cooked and there was plenty of it - eight veg by my count! Really great service and good beer and wine selection too.

Great Sunday lunch here today...perfectly cooked roast beef with plenty of vegetables...broccoli, red and green cabbage, Swede, cauliflower cheese, roast carrot, parsnip and potatoes. Friendly service, good value for money @ £13.95. Would recommend, need to book. Thank you 😊

Great food, great ale. Sunday lunch is exceptional value at £8.95. You get a lot on your plate and it's very tasty. I would also recommend the pies. £7.50 for the stake and ale pie and it was full of meat. There are always at least 5 well selected guest ales on. Plenty of gins! Don't be fooled by the traditional maybe dated decor as this place is a very good choice for food and drinks. Friendly staff and friendly atmosphere!

My husband and I use The London as our local. We also eat in there. The food is always lovely, plentiful and good value. Sunday roasts are delicious. We always take visiting friends there to eat. Great for beer drinkers. And very friendly staff.

The London Inn has a TA page for accommodation but not for its restaurant. We go over to the interesting little town of Ottery St Mary occasionally for its excellent DIY store (Abbotts), but we had never tried the London Inn before. Ottery is not blessed with good pubs so we thought we would experiment and try the London, and we were so glad we did. Though it is located right in the centre of town it has its own car park, accessible from Brook Street at the rear. The building is over 300 years old and has clearly led a hard life, but it has been tidied up and given a lick of paint. Leading off the lounge bar is a restaurant area, though the 70`s style patterned carpet will have to be retired to a museum when funds allow! Unusually these days it still has a rather spartan public bar.The Menu is simple straightforward pub food, but it's well cooked and served piping hot in generous portions. We had a ham omelette and ham eggs and chips and they were very good and so reasonably priced. Even the coffee was good and strong. The service was just right and the drinks were reasonably priced, we will certainly be back soon.

"One of the nicer places we've dined at for a while- location is a bit out of the way but each of the dishes was full of flavour, and for the standard was good value for money"

We enjoyed our night at this well run, clean and friendly hotel. The three course evening meal was freshly prepared and delicious. Our room was spotless and well presented. We both are surprised this is only a two star rated hotel, as our experience exceeded many four stars we’ve stayed in. Our breakfast was again delicious. The staff are all attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. It has ample parking and a beautiful rear garden with seating. If we are in the region again, we would wholeheartedly head for The Tumbling Weir, Thank~you
