The Loft Lounge & Bar in Eastbourne

It was really cool there, we were there with our language travel group, they probably rented the place for tons of money. DJ was actually strong, drinks weren't that good, well. Otherwise there is a big bar in the middle, a first floor and lots of seating. Bouncers are often unfriendly

Good night out. Hired the venue out for a function. Accommodating staff, good atmosphere. Best place if you're looking for a nice evening in Eastbourne.

Decent little bar. Price of drinks are moderate, friendly staff. Could do with extension of downstairs as it can become too packed and hot.

Great cocktails and atmosphere, the music was brilliant,.plenty of seating for those who wanted to sit and enjoy a drink

Gone down hill after the past year or so got rid of the brewery taps bottles only same old music upstairs usually closed not the same

Not what it used to be, no dress code, you have people in there with sliders and track suit shorts on and others with smart shoes, just felt all over the place, losing that class that it used to have. No checks at the door and people openly selling all sorts of contrabands with the so called security looking on as if there was an agreement that they can.

Great late night bar for a drink with friends

Meh! It's an OK place, lacks atmosphere and looks very tiered.

We booked a booth package upstairs as there were 20 of us . We had a great time . The bar staff upstairs looked after us very well and nothing was too much trouble . The atmosphere was great and the music was good with a good mix of genres . I would highly recommend for any celebration .

Ok atmosphere but certain illegal substances maybe sold openly come on staff and cops maybe be stricter?.

Very expensive cocktails. Had a mojito, absolutely shocking. Two were £19. Won’t be returning there at all.

Firday nights DJ was excellent, and I can justifiably say this because I am a DJ. He read the crowd perfectly, played a good choice of music at the right time and in the right order to keep a really good atmosphere even when the numbers thinned out after 1am. The venue itself is well kept, pleasant and has a good atmosphere, with capable attentive barstaff who seem to always know who's turn it is, and are quick and efficient. Overall a good night and 5 stars as a guy, but if you're a lady, do not go there alone and stick to your group, a couple of the girls I was with were a little drunk and there were several "ethnic" guys who were very quick to prey on them if they became separated from the group for even a few moments. Some of the approaches were very explicit and the approach quite aggressive, even after we intervened they were quite hard to get rid of.

Same rubbish music, half an hour waiting at the bar, very expensive and full of chuds who think they're something special. Feel for the small amount of bar staff there.

Unwelcoming bouncer. Very long wait for service. Definitely will not return. 50 minute wait, unfriendly bouncer. Staff were ok but rating ruined by bouncer and waiting time for a drink.

The younger bouncer, didnt want to let us in even though we had booked a table. He had to be told by an older bouncer 3 times that we were allowed in before the queue as we had booked a table.

I no there's covid but sitting on a table nxt to my daughter talking and told twice to turn around not allowed to talk to her even though we live together but sitting on different tables.? ,so tell me if your sitting at a distance how does talking to the nxt table effect that ?the staff were all pleasant and i understand there doing there best , but made me feel Very uncomfortable after .

Took 20+ minutes to get a drink and 10 minutes to get to the toilet. Wouldn't go there again.

Now serving food, lush menu, great service and awesome atmosphere. We tried out the soup, burgers, chips and wedges and everything was delicious.

Had lunch here today , Varied menu lots to choose from, Chips where amazing , great service with great service.

Seems like a great place, good atmosphere, friendly staff, just shame when we were there it wasn't very busy. Definitely do back.

It was a comfy space ,the food was nice and staff were very friendly . My only reason for not giving a 5 star was that the drinks were a bit pricey .

Super friendly staff and clean and pleasant facilities, great live music and delicious cocktails. Some of the drinks were a little pricey to be honest but so delicious it was worth it. Amazing place to have a hen night and the cocktail masterclass was awesome and totally worth the money. Would deffinatly go back again and again.

Music great. Very busy- shame you had to book upstairs where there was extra seating. I recommend the raspberry revolution!

Since the new owners have taken over, Darren and Scott, there had been a marked increase in the quality and professionalism of the venue. Great staff, beautiful venue, and amazing prices. Totally recommend.

It's a very nice looking venue but in reality it is very overpriced for what you are getting. It is no different to most other pubs when you get down to the details. However it does provide a good night out and each time I have been in this venue it has been very busy which in my opinion is key to atmosphere. Overall I think this pub is a pleasant pub and certainly provides what you need to have a great night in Eastbourne.

Overpriced meat market with rude, incompetent staff.

Used to go here a lot. Visited the other friday eve and had live band playing. Didnt feel the right atmosphere to have live music and he was too loud to talk properly to anyone.

I’m going to start by saying that I used to love The Loft.... but what has happened to this once buzzing and vibrant bar? I’ve been in a few times recently and sadly it has just lost its edge. It’s bar staff seem to know very little about what they are serving, if you ask about flavoured gins for instance ( which is very ‘on trend’ at the moment) they look at you like you are mad & seem lacking in confidence making the cocktails on their menu, which don’t taste great. They should be stepping up their game with such a great cocktail bar a stones throw away... The place has been empty when I have gone in (between 7.45 & 8.45 Saturday evenings) and it’s a big place to fill anyway. I’m not sure what needs to happen to bring it back to life but whoever owns it has quite a job on their hands I think. It could be brilliant again - just needs a rethink maybe and some better staff or serious staff training - a band maybe, some promotions, better music (it was all 80s stuff?).

Awful awful place, 9/10 staff don’t have a clue what is going on, you’d be lucky to get the correct drink. Unwilling doormen that are rude and disrespectful claiming that YOU are the problem. Manager is a spineless, gutless pawn that only listens to the doormen to “protect the licence”. Get better staff, doormen and music. Place is overpriced

I went here for New Year's Eve and got physically attacked by a very drunk girl. The bouncers kicked her out and I have been trying to follow up with the bar ever since as they have security camera footage and no one has got back to me. They have been putting me off and very unhelpful. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Party central pub in Eastbourne loads of lovely young people dancing dressed up party party cocktails really good live music somewhere to go for Saturday night and dance

After attending a party upstairs on Saturday evening, i was very impressed. The cocktails are delicious and the bartender made me a cocktail which wasn't on the menu, which proves their excellent service. Lovely place to meet up for a drink with friends and family. Great atmosphere, lighting and music. I also went to a fashion show last year which was great fun! The only thing i would say is maybe have more staff on at the weekends. Many thanks, I will be back!

10 de nosotros reservamos un stand privado en el piso de arriba para celebrar mi cumpleaños. El ambiente era genial, las cabinas son excelentes y el personal del bar vino y tomó nuestros pedidos de bebidas de la mesa, nunca tuvimos que ir al bar ya que el personal era muy atento y constantemente nos registraron si necesitábamos bebidas. La música era una buena combinación de la vieja escuela y la nueva. 25 depósito para un stand que recibe de vuelta, ¡no puede equivocarse! Qué fabulosa noche, lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Tenía la experiencia de hacer cócteles aquí el sábado por la noche, sinceramente no puedo criticar el servicio que recibimos. Cory nos cuidó y todos pasamos el mejor momento, los aperitivos estaban incluidos y este fue un toque encantador. Nos quedamos después y de nuevo el servicio fue bueno, lo recomendaría a mis amigos y también estoy planeando mi próxima visita.

Alcoholic drinks are quite pricey but delicious when the arrive. Good service received both times I have been there. Can accommodate big groups: birthdays, hens, stags

Trendy bar with lots of seating. Friendly staff and quick service. Plenty of cocktail options, but when asked if a common cocktail, that wasn't on the menu, could be made the staff were unsure of the ingredients. Other than that, still a great place for a night out.

Me encanta el loft! ! ! Estado aquí un par de funciones antes y siempre tienen un gran tiempo! A veces el servicio en el bar es lento, así que esto podría mejorarse, pero no puede ser atendido cuando hay mucha gente! Cócteles son increíbles y el personal es muy agradable. Me dicen que siempre los miembros de la familia y amigos para alquilar este lugar y ir aquí si me apetece un par de copas con sus amigos. Me encanta! ! !

Hit and miss here, have been some nights and had a great night, others, not so great, sometimes crowded, sometimes dead. Saw a live band here recently and it was really good. Great choice of drinks and cocktails. Private area upstairs which can be booked.

Metimos en unas pocas bebidas por la noche y siendo una noche a eso de las 10:00, que no estaba muy lleno. Sólo algunas personas en la zona del bar. Sin embargo, como nos paramos en el bar con dinero en la mano, no uno de los dos camareros nos miraba, mucho menos nos sirve aunque no estaban sirviendo a nadie. Uno veía a su amigo el teléfono sobre el bar. Por lo tanto no sentir muy bienvenido. Sin embargo, unos minutos más tarde finalmente llegó y pedimos unos tragos y nos sentamos en una cabina que estaba muy bien.

Never a disappointment here... I usually pop in for lunch and always find something nice to eat (due to allergies). Lovely friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere 😊

Tuvimos que esperar 35 minutos en el bar, y cuando finalmente nos sirvieron el barman me dieron dos de ellos completamente equivocados!! No sustituirlos y se disculpó. Fue muy concurrida y muy ruidoso, genial para los jóvenes, pero no para los de mediana edad!!
