The Loft Lounge & Bar in Eastbourne

Great cocktails , and fab service . There was good music playing and a great atmosphere ! Eastbourne needs more bars like this !

Now serving food, lush menu, great service and awesome atmosphere. We tried out the soup, burgers, chips and wedges and everything was delicious.

Had lunch here today , Varied menu lots to choose from, Chips where amazing , great service with great service.

Visited after reading the loft was doing lunch again but left unhappy and hungry still no food pool table is good fun but need food

Voy a comenzar diciendo que solía amar The Loft. . . . ¿Pero qué ha pasado con este bar una vez vibrante y vibrante? He estado en varias ocasiones recientemente y, lamentablemente, acaba de perder su ventaja. Parece que el personal del bar sabe muy poco acerca de lo que están sirviendo, si preguntas sobre ginebras con sabor por ejemplo (lo cual está muy de moda en este momento) te miran como si estuvieras enojado y no tengas confianza en hacer los cócteles. en su menú, que no saben muy bien. Deben estar intensificando su juego con un excelente bar de cócteles a un tiro de piedra. . . El lugar estaba vacío cuando entré (entre las 7, 45 y 8, 45 sábados por la noche) y es un lugar grande para llenar de todos modos. No estoy seguro de qué es lo que tiene que suceder para que vuelva a la vida, pero creo que quien lo posea tiene un gran trabajo. Podría ser brillante otra vez, solo necesita un replanteamiento y quizás un mejor personal o una capacitación seria del personal, tal vez una banda, algunas promociones, mejor música (¿todo era material de los 80?).

Después de asistir a una fiesta en el piso de arriba el sábado por la noche, quedé muy impresionado. Los cócteles son deliciosos y el camarero me hizo un cóctel que no estaba en el menú, lo que demuestra su excelente servicio. Un lugar encantador para reunirse para tomar una copa con amigos y familiares. Gran ambiente, iluminación y música. ¡También fui a un desfile de modas el año pasado que fue muy divertido! Lo único que diría es que quizás tenga más personal los fines de semana. Muchas gracias, ¡volveré!

10 de nosotros reservamos un stand privado en el piso de arriba para celebrar mi cumpleaños. El ambiente era genial, las cabinas son excelentes y el personal del bar vino y tomó nuestros pedidos de bebidas de la mesa, nunca tuvimos que ir al bar ya que el personal era muy atento y constantemente nos registraron si necesitábamos bebidas. La música era una buena combinación de la vieja escuela y la nueva. 25 depósito para un stand que recibe de vuelta, ¡no puede equivocarse! Qué fabulosa noche, lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Tenía la experiencia de hacer cócteles aquí el sábado por la noche, sinceramente no puedo criticar el servicio que recibimos. Cory nos cuidó y todos pasamos el mejor momento, los aperitivos estaban incluidos y este fue un toque encantador. Nos quedamos después y de nuevo el servicio fue bueno, lo recomendaría a mis amigos y también estoy planeando mi próxima visita.

Por favor, poner más personal en el fin de semana. Este sigue siendo un problema y por desgracia no tiene un pase. Si vas a servir cócteles por favor poner en el número necesario de personal para evitar ridículamente largo tiempo de espera y garantizar su personal tiene los conocimientos técnicos para realizar varias tareas.

Me encanta el loft! ! ! Estado aquí un par de funciones antes y siempre tienen un gran tiempo! A veces el servicio en el bar es lento, así que esto podría mejorarse, pero no puede ser atendido cuando hay mucha gente! Cócteles son increíbles y el personal es muy agradable. Me dicen que siempre los miembros de la familia y amigos para alquilar este lugar y ir aquí si me apetece un par de copas con sus amigos. Me encanta! ! !

Metimos en unas pocas bebidas por la noche y siendo una noche a eso de las 10:00, que no estaba muy lleno. Sólo algunas personas en la zona del bar. Sin embargo, como nos paramos en el bar con dinero en la mano, no uno de los dos camareros nos miraba, mucho menos nos sirve aunque no estaban sirviendo a nadie. Uno veía a su amigo el teléfono sobre el bar. Por lo tanto no sentir muy bienvenido. Sin embargo, unos minutos más tarde finalmente llegó y pedimos unos tragos y nos sentamos en una cabina que estaba muy bien.

Never a disappointment here... I usually pop in for lunch and always find something nice to eat (due to allergies). Lovely friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere 😊

Tuvimos que esperar 35 minutos en el bar, y cuando finalmente nos sirvieron el barman me dieron dos de ellos completamente equivocados!! No sustituirlos y se disculpó. Fue muy concurrida y muy ruidoso, genial para los jóvenes, pero no para los de mediana edad!!

I went here to celebrate my cousins 21st birthday. She had hired out a booth which was upstairs and was a nice size area with plenty of seating. The service was good they were always checking on us. Music was OK a lot of older music played I didn't hear new chart music. I had ordered a cosmopolitan cocktail most cocktails were £8 I only had one as it was very week and I thought £8 well (£7.95) was quite expensive.

Our drink orders was taken within minutes of sitting down, latte was perfect, lunch orders taken and arrived within 10 minutes, delicious chicken and cheese panini, my friend had tuna melt which she also enjoyed. Service excellent, friendly but not intrusive. Reasonably priced too.

Good food and very good service for lunch or evening although it does get very busy later in the evening, particularly at weekends. More a bar than restaurant.

The Loft Lounge is probably the only place you don't feel overdressed in Eastbourne. the atmosphere encourages people to be social and not get rowdy. The cocktail selection is vast and service is quick and prompt for such a busy bar. The place always feels well staffed. Bank holidays are a must as live bands never fail to impress.The meals during the day are exactly what you need for a quick bite to eat. After sampling everything on the deli menu (very reasonably priced) I can say that the chef knows what he is doing. I was amazed to hear they cook everything from fresh too! This bar is the top end nightlife venue in Eastbourne and probably the only one I would highly recommend.

Booked a table of ten for lunch at 1pm and arrived promptly. We requested to order our meals in small groups as we only had one hour for lunch and wanted to keep the bill simple. We were told this would not be a problem as there was only a 20 minute wait for food. Two of our group did manage to order at the bar and were served quickly with their food arriving 15 mins later. The rest of the group ordered our food and drink and awaited our meals. 45 minutes later our meals arrived!. No apology was given for the wait and when the food did arrive the token side salads with the jacket potatoes and burgers were just laughable. The whole salad would fit into a dessert spoon. We were offered sauces which did not arrive so we had to chase. All in all a very disappointing lunch. I would hate to think of the wait if the place was actually busy. Sadly to say we will not be returning. This isnt the first time we have had slow service and we can get far better meals elsewhere. The loft had its day several years ago and need a total reshake if its to maintain its customers.

The Loft Lounge welcomed a group of 8 of us, from a Union committee, to use one of their upstairs booths to hold a planning meeting. They looked after us splendidly, bringing us drinks throughout the day as and when wanted and lunch, which was delicious. The staff were terrific, wonderfully helpful and accommodating and we would recommend the venue without hesitation

Went to the loft with both friends and family, we had part of the upstairs hired out for a party! all staff were fantastic and very helpful.. had a brilliant night and will definitely be going back there again :)

We booked a Cocktail Master Class for a hen party. From the outset, we had excellent communication with the venue (Lexi) and they were more than accommodating with all of our requestsOn the night Marley was informative, helpful and a lot of fun!We would highly recommend this experience.

Very occasionally I meet up with some friends in Eastbourne for an early evening drink, and The Loft is perfect for this - great position [near the station and bus stops as well as car parking in Hyde Gardens], great drinks menu with lots of interesting non alcoholic options and good coffees too, and really nice young staff who are friendly and helpful. About 6/6.30 it's quiet enough to meet and chat, but it's still got some atmosphere!

My and my girlfriend visit the loft every other week we are always warmly greeted by the bartenders and the cocktails are always amazing (fantastic espresso martini) staff are charming and carasmatic without ever being smarmy or pretentious. Will be back soon for a tuacca or 3 ;)

A great activity for a hen do. We mixed, shook and stored a whole host of cocktails and even created our own! The team were friendly helpful and ensured everyone had fun.

We went here on 7/3/15 for a hen do and booked the cocktail making class. On arrival we had jugs of coffee and tea and bacon butties to set us up for the day!!! We then went upstairs for our class and at the top of the stairs 2 lovely young men met us with a glass of bubbles and showed us wgere to go. They were suitably attired in very little!! As requested. The class was brilliant and we got to make lods of cocktails and play games,even those that could not drink had a good choice. It was beautifully set up and laid out, 10/10 for presentation. The staff were amazing and got into the spirit of it all,being heckled by28 women aged 20- 60!! I can not recommend this enough, everyone had a fab time and it was a good way to start our hen do. A big thank you to manager Mike and all the staff at the loft for making a special day a truly great one.

We had a really Good time here for my 30th birthday! We had a large area reserved for the 12 of us and we had waitress service all evening which was really good! We decided to buy a couple of bottles of house vodka (a large btl off absolut) which worked out just under a tenner with free mixers which worked out so much better as we all got a good couple of drinks out of it. Would definitly do this again. The only downside is that you have to be here by 9pm which is really early and meant we did have to rush about as I had friends coming from far away. I think this time limit should be lifted to 10pm.

Bank holiday weekend awesomeness. Best band in Eastbourne were playing The Normans and after a previous experience booked a booth downstairs (a wise nice as upstairs, whilst preferable for weekends , bR staff are sooooo slow you need to order 2 drinks at a time!!). We held a charity event at the loft on Friday, which was a great success! The Loft is a lovely venue, beautifully decorated, well set up and amazingly staffed! We had a generous buffet and the food was such good quality and food was designed to meet our requirements. Lexi was wonderful (as always!), Charlie and Connor were fantastic on the day and Mike was so helpful with the planning process. Everyone said to me what a hidden gem the Loft is and that they will be returning soon, as will I!

I've been a regular visitor to The Loft for years and it never fails to disappoint. It's is my favourite place to go for cocktails in town, well, in my opinion, it is the only place to have cocktails in town. Having recently visited within the last week, the service was spot on, friendly, and attentive. The waiter was great with his recommendations. Great selection of alcoholic beverages. I recommend Banoffitini, Strawberry Shortcake, Espresso Martini, Tokyo Ice Tea.. I could go on.. too many good ones, go try them all!!

We booked a booth upstairs to celebrate my birthday. The booking process was simple and went without a hitch.On arrival we were shown to our area which was clean, presentable and gave more than enough space, all guests were also shown to the area when they arrived.The groups only criticism would be that even though there was table service, we found it was quicker to go to the upstairs bar for drinks.Would highly recommend this as a venue to book your occasion.Many thanks.

Our little group of girlie friends always meet at the Loft and we reserve the table near to the door which is ideal for us. Our lunch is always very good and we thoroughly enjoy our time together.

We booked an upstairs table as a special treat for New Year's Eve. Having never been to the Loft Lounge before we had no idea what to expect but we Google'd the band in advance and at least they sounded good. We were not disappointed!! From the moment we arrived we were looked-after and made to feel like VIP's. We had a balcony seat with a great view of the band and the dance-floor. The table came with complementary champagne (which was excellent), and waiter service all evening. It was a fantastic way to round off 2014 and see in the New Year. Well done LL

We had a lovely evening upstairs in a reserved area, waitress service was great, We had a selection of starters brought out during the evening which was very tasty. Overhaul the evening was great.

Amazing service. The staff and manager very friendly and made it really easy to organise and plan. There was lots of extras to book such as casino tables and magicians. Also so much yummy food!

Within 10 minutes of arriving the bar manager pulled together a adhoc cocktail masterclass for an unplanned hen do......the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic night. Well worth a visit.

I ordered a burger with cheddar cheese after reading how nice it looked in menu - when the food arrived the waiter dropped my chips on route and left me sat there waiting 10 minutes for more chips even tho the lounge was dead and was only me my friend and another table near by. The burger was bland it a cheap bun with no salad or sauces, the Chips were frozen and no taste. When the waiter took out food we was not asked us how our food was even tho majority of it was left on our plate. I 100% will not being coming back for food or recommending to anybody, I should have realised it was going be bad by how quiet it was for a Sunday afternoon.

A little too noisy for us. Out of the way but lots of places to sit inside, better for the youngsters!

I arranged a cocktail class for my birthday on 19th September 2014. There were 19 of us taking part in the class with another 10 coming for drinks. From the very first conversation subsequent emails with Charlie and also Mike (the owner), the customer service has been superb. They not only accommodated my timings, numbers and requests for an alteration to one of their buffet menus (to suit my budget) but did it with a smile. Nick our cocktail class 'teacher' was brilliant and managed to keep us under control (most of us old enough to be his mum!). The food was great and plentiful. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish. Now to find another reason to have another cocktail class!Thanks to everyone at The Loft for making sure I had a fabulous birthday. We will be back! Gill Pinnington, Eastbourne

We were asked to leave the upstairs booth I had booked, due to the low levels of customers upstairs. I paid for my drinks but my friend, who the evening was for was saddled with the bill for the others in our party, as we were hurried downstairs. other than that, normally a friendly happy service usually

I often go to The Loft for lunch if I am in town with friends or family.It is a good clean, friendly and good value for money food place during the day with jackets, sandwiches, light bites and main meals on the menu. Nothing too fancy but it is all good food.Its always a place that I would recommend for a tasty, nothing fancy bite to eat.

We had a great night in the loft on a sunday, there was a live band playing so we booked a booth upstairs for my birthday. The staff were really friendly, service with a smile even though they were really busy. I love the atmosphere in there. Thanks

We booked a booth for a get together of 15+ friends upstairs in the bar. There was more than enough room for all of us...we arrived shortly after 8pm and the service was very attentive and the atmosphere was good. A few hours in as the bar got busier it seemed the table service got a bit lost and we spent most of the time going back and fourth to the bar which was very busy. Overall we had a great experience and the upstairs area really is lovely especially if your booking for a special occasion.One thing I will say is the drinks list we had on our table wasn't very good....hard to read...and no prices!

The service was slow, we had to ask to place our order It took even longer for the orders to come out. They got one order wrong, adding beef chilli to nachos that were requested to be vegetation. The meals came out at different times with one meal completely forgotten! We did complain and got the two meals taken off the bill but we won't be heading back there anytime soon.

Comfy place for a drink and catch up. Staff friendly lovely cocktails , although a little dear ! . My daughter had a birthday party here once. That was good too. Good food buffet put on for her. Thank you.

I pre booked a booth upstairs for my 21st party for around 45 people and everybody said how nice it was ! service was really good ! everybody had such a good night ! Staff are really lovely and always making sure everybody had a drink ! Would highly recommend x

We went to the Loft for cocktails on a Wednesday night. We were greeted by two surly bar staff who looked thoroughly annoyed that we were there. The cocktails were a poor effort, short measures and over priced. Very disappointed.

remember the days when nouvelle cuisine was being touted as the future of eating out. well surprisingly it didn't catch on but the loft didn't get the memo. If Im going to pay that amount of money in a glorified pub for some food I expect to receive something of substance or if not something that tastes amazing. unfortunately not on both counts. If you want to get ripped off for your drinks and food and feel left wanting at the end of the day/night by all means go here. Will not be eating here again even if someone else wants to foot the bill.

While in general it's quite a nice bar it is very expensive for where it is. If I was in London I'd expect to pay those kinda prices but not in a back alley in Eastbourne.

I hired some tables in the VIP area and found it a fantastic experience. The service was brilliant and I got to actually chat to my friends and family. They all didn't get bored having to go to the bar, as the bar staff came to wait our tables. A very nice relaxing evening had by all! Great cocktails, atmosphere and very friendly welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend.

Came for a hen do and waited ages for our cocktails that we had pre-ordered. Some eventually came but the rest came later while they made the same batch from a pre-made cocktail package.Took ages for drinks through the evening.

... in Eastbourne. Fantatsic staff led by a guy called Drew . Prices can be on the steep side when you are used to bars that cater for students but the price is worth it for teh atmosphere and the selection on offer.

Went with friends & kids a few times in the holidays, pleasant staff and really nice food, didn't need to wait long either. Really nice menu with something for everyone.

We've eaten here a few times at weekday and Saturday lunchtimes. The service is excellent, the waiters and waitresses are always welcoming, efficient, friendly and look smart. There is a wide variety of drinks on offer, including great cocktails and the food menu offers a huge range of food options, with not just the run of the mill sandwiches, jackets potatos etc. The homemade wedges are lovely as are the sweet chilli chicken wraps and the sharing platters are good too. I always think a good sign of a restaurant is what ever lunchtime you visit, it's busy and on the 4 or 5 occasions we've eaten here (most recently last week), the place was packed. The only criticism I would have is that the loos are on the upper level. Not good if you have restricted mobility, etc.

Visited early this afternoon and left feeling very content, and relaxed...I chilled out, on a sofa, with a freshly made latté, read the paper, and then tucked into a perfectly cooked, homemade burger, served up with chips and salad. All for under a tenner!Service was impeccable, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere easy like a Sunday morning...Thanks

Myself and 6 other ladies enjoyed an early evening master class in cocktail making. It was fabulous. The qualified staff entertained us with their skills and knowledge and involved us all in taking part in making and drinking our cocktails. Very relaxed and fun environment would recommend this to any party as it really gets you in the mood to party on and laugh a lot. We stayed on afterwards in one of the private booths for most of the evening which meant we didn't have to queue up downstairs at the bar for drinks. Our only point of slight disappointment was that the TV's showing music videos were not linked to the music being played that night which was a shame cause they didn't match up correctly together (and if you know your music like we did it was noticeable).

Tucked away behind the shops this lounge & Bar was a pleasant surprise, stylist and welcoming.The bar staff were friendly and attentive. The chef and owner of The Loft was a larger than life wonderfully friendly madeiran man who provided recomendations and wonderful food.The gravy is simply the best and his food is well presented, flavourful and very tasty, he has excellent vegetarian options and all food is very sensibly priced.I highly recommend it as well worth the visit

This is a great place for a relaxed lunch. Good straight forward menu with good mix of food to choose from. Good for a casual business lunch or to meet friends - staff are always friendly, efficient and attentive.

Having arranged to meet some French friends at Saturday lunchtime in town we were put off by the busy (and unkempt) coffee houses in Town. The Loft is one of my favourite places for an early evening drink so I suggested coffee and a light lunch here. What a result as instead of queuing and fighting for tables we had a delightful lunchtime drink and light lunch of sandwiches from the very good menu in a most pleasant setting. Waitress service a welcome and very pleasant change. Not the easiest place to find but it is worthwhile searching out for a better experience. My friends from Paris were most impressed which says it all.

Fish & chips were excellent. Drinks refilled regularly. Staff very good & we came 3rd in the quiz, excellent!

This is the only place to go if you want a VIP night out, great atmosphere and such friendly staff. The VIP booth service upstairs is definately the way to go on a busy Saturday night and spirits by the bottle wirks our really good value in a group!!

The Loft is without a doubt Eastbourne's finest bar. Weekend night are filled with great people and a great atmosphere. The upstairs area allows you to have your partys by table bookings and the downstairs is fantastic for mingling. The staff of impeccable and the service is spot on, everyone knows how to make a fantastic cocktail!The Loft always manages to keep things interesting. Mondays is 2 for 1 cocktails night, Sundays are live music night and they always hold special events.I could go on and on but one thing I would really like to mention is the quality of food during the day. The range of whats to offer on the menu is fantastic and the food really is superb, really top quality. I can't sing The Lofts praises enough and i will be a regular for as long as I live in Eastbourne.I saw someone below mentioned about not being able to have a conversation, if you more of a relaxed drink and a catch up id go every evening apart from friday or saturday and the reasons why these nights are louder is because it's so busy because it's so popular.

Very well appointed and the range of drinks is good. Have not eaten there for some time so cannot give an up to date comment. However it is a very good and smart place to visit or meet for a drink but if you are over 40 then do not stay after 9.00 or so on Fridays or weekends as it becomes very popular with the younger set. It also can be noisy with the music played. Staff have always been superb.

The Loft is situated just behind Eastbournes busy Terminus Road. Unlike most of the otherpub/diners in town The Loft is bright and airy and serves good quality food at reasonable prices.
