Perfectly good for a mid week meal with family.

Stumbled upon this Flamming Grill pub, when we were turned away from a grubby Harvester in Sovereign Harbour.. I'm so glad Harvester didn't have any space on Easter Sunday. This Pub, was excellent, food was fresh and tasty, nothing too much of an ask for the bar team. Didn't mind the kids sitting on the next table along playing their card games 😁. I even ordered a Beer and the bar Manager (I guess, if she's not she should be), rememberd I have 2 shots of lime in it.. The whole place was friendly and welcoming, clearly has it's regulars who seemed happy and well looked after too. Overall, if you are ever in Eastbourne, forget the main chain Harvester, which wouldn't have been a patch on the Rodmill Flamming Grill, get yourself down here and have a nice meal with great atmosphere. Thanks.

Food was fantastic tasting and well presented well but a whole meal was missed out from our order. It was cooked and given free though as it was their mistake. Edit 7 years on. THE best food at great prices.

Visited The Rod mill for a meal with girlfriends , having never eaten here we decided we would give it a chance. What can I say apart from everything was 1st Class. Piping hot and tasty food and wine was chilled. The team working were very busy and this did not stop them from giving us fabulous service. Cannot praise enough the smooth running of a restaurant by the team. Lisa was fabulous and kept us entertained (what an asset to a restaurant) Well done Lisa you are amazing and really did brighten up the night. Will be back again very soon.

Decent pub but they have a great EV charger. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The grub is not expensive and always tasty, would recommend.

Very inexpensive, but it shows. Could do with a refurbishment. Menu very colourful to look at but all over the place and not easy to read . However the staff were lovely. All orders have to be given at the bar ,which is extremely inconvenient. I had To go up five times . Drinks, meal order for five people , pudding, coffees and finally to pay . Luckily the bar was not full.

Spot on the food was brilliant the waiting time wasn’t too long had a nice chat with the worker’s also plus the dessert got my tummy in paradise aha also the waitresses were a star too !!!

1st visit to the Rodmill Eastbourne and definitely will go back. Had a last minute booking birthday family meal. All enjoyed the steak night, Professionally cooked. Staff and chef were all so polite and friendly. All staff looked happy & made a great team. Quality food at a great price. Really friendly and nice atmosphere for all ages. Lovely meal tonight. Staff very friendly and attentive. Food was very nice and reasonably priced. The 2 meals for £13.49 on weekdays is amazing, the kids loved their gammon and macaroni cheese. I had the Jamaican stew, which was very nice and hubby had a burger which he thoroughly enjoyed too. 10/10. So nice and refreshing to have friendly happy staff. Looking forward to coming back

I have been coming here for a few years now and it has always been amazing. Great atmosphere, one of the best services I’ve gotten and all the food that we ordered was delicious. I can’t stress it enough how great The RoadMill is.

Sadly received a parking charge notice a few weeks ago have tried to contact the PCn Britannia and they have asked me for a receipt ! This is so late to receive notice of needing this and as a designated driver I did not get a receipt for my water . Really upset that I was not made aware at the time of my visit about the requirements of parking not queried at the bar , the signage was massively obscured late at night on a stormy evening January very disappointed that a nice evening has been ruined . How can I deal with this ?

We came here for my daughters 9th birthday but it also happened to be Mother's day. Our server was Donna who was very attentive, and made sure we were happy throughout our meal. The staff were more than happy to light the birthday cake candle and bring out the cake whilst singing happy birthday to my daughter. Food was lovely. We would definitely come again.

Just been to Robmill with my boyfriend for a date night , and the service was great and the food was amazing we both enjoyed our meal, we had the 24oz steak fondue, this was amazing. Visit the Rodmill quite often. Never had bad service and the staff are so happy and attentive. Food is exceptionally good value for money. Even my grandchildren love going here as the children's meals are so good. The older ones love the hamburgers and I do especially on a Thursday when it's a BOGOFF day. Really happy place to visit.

I visit this pub/restaurant with a group of elderly quite frequently. The staff are always very friendly. The food is amazing value for money and very decent too. A few screens dotted around show sporting events. Good selection of drinks. Make sure you register your vehicle once in to avoid parking charges.

Have to give it a 5 because it doesn't pretend to be anything other than a busy pub with a reasonable menu. Busy early evening 6-7, but after that it calms down.

Visited 12th January. The food was fine. The atmosphere was fine. I didn't see any notices about parking & neither did any other members of our party. £100 parking fine. It appears some other customers have had the same experience. Just tried calling the pub....

2 X 10 oz rib eye steaks with chunky chips, onions, mushrooms, tomato, peas, and 2 X beers for £22, I can't complain... Atmosphere was a bit quiet, staff were friendly. Update on 15/07/22, menu has changed, still good value food, steak deals have increased by approx. £1, there is more choice on the menu and you can't beat the price, everything I have eaten here has been good. It can be a bit noisy at times, that is my only criticism.

Great value pub, one of our go-to places if we fancy eating out during the week. Wide range of food, including all the steaks, burgers and pub classics you could wish for! The bar staff and food waiting team are always pleasant and service with a smile. Oh, and the millionaire waffle fries are amazing!👌

Food is average but service is really quick. I've eaten here a couple of times, it's a quick and easy option. The food quality is similar to a Wetherspoons but the menu is a bit more exciting. You get what you pay for quality wise and the portion sizes are good.

Christmas lunch given wrong food was told we ordered it turns out they realised not our mistake when we got right meals cauliflower, carrots and parsnips hard as rock Yorkshire pudding very chewy and rubbery. Roast potatoes and Brussels OK but everything was cold very disappointed was just not edible so left it thankfully we did not have to pay for it except the starter will I go there for a meal again debateable

Absolutely love The Rodmill - been there many times as live not too far away. Would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a reasonably priced, decent hot meal with good service. There were seven of us served by a lovely young lady by the name of Lisa N who was very good at her job - very professional. The food was delicious, no complaints whatsoever. Enjoyed our evening there very much and will definitely be back.

We went for dinner her, walked in and got a table, ordered dinner at the bar and waited about 15 minutes for our mains which was great, we then decided to order dessert and this is where it went downhill. Went to bar and ordered desserts, waited over 30 mins and was not told about this wait time, I went to bar and asked for refund as had to get home, woman behind bar was very helpful and apologetic, some other woman came out and told her to tell customers there is a 30 -45min wait for food, and this was the case 30 mins ago. The poor woman behind the bar felt humiliated and embarrassed, the way this woman spoke to her was shocking infront of everyone at the bar, why not pull her to one side ? I had my refund and realised I was shorted changed by £3 ! Didn't bother doing back in just wanted to get out of there, shame the doors was great but have two members of staff to run the place was silly. Waitress called connie was superb and the blonde lady behind bar ! The woman in orange top at the time seemed like a manager needs to learn how to talk to her staff with respect. Dont forget to put your reg into machine if you park in carpark!

Great pub, we've been here as a family for the last few weekends and the food hasn't disappointed. For the price you pay the food is absolutely excellent. Always served with a smile. Can be a bit loud when the footy is on but it's a pub, what do you expect.

I ordered fish and chips it was disgusting the worse I have every had any where in the world. The fish smelt odd and had a brown colour flesh. It came up with peas even though I had said no peas. I asked for it with mash as didn't fancy chips. The mash was very dried out where it haf been sitting under the hot / keep warm lights for to long it had formed a hard dry skin. It was just disgusting. The lady came to collect the plates asked what was wrong with the fish?? So I asked her what the fish was she had to go any find out. She came back and said the name of a fish that I had never heard of before. I told her not even my car would eat it but I would take it home for her to try and see. I was correct my cat turned her nose up at it and normally she eats anything and it's certainly big fussy at all. I even put it out for the badgers that come in my garden every night not even they eat it!! My friend had hunters chicken on a extremely hot skillet.
