Warm welcome from all staff. Lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed an excellent meal perfectly prepared . We were delighted to win the " Wednesday burn the bill " couldn't have been sny better many thanks to you all

We always find the food and the place so good. We have been to Rodmill a lot of times now, celebrating birthdays, retirement and leaving dos. The food and the service are both excellent.

Been here a few times and everytime has been fantastic, amazing food and always such nice staff, never had to wait too long for the food

Regularly served by Gemma. Absolute breath of fresh air has amazing energy. Fast paced and defo knows what she's doing. Great memory and remembered me after my first visit. Whether busy or quite staff are always smiley polite and organised. This has become a regular spot for me to relax and have a drink because of these reasons. Yet to try the food but what comes out looks flipping amazing the smell defo gets you salivating.

Chloe and Lisa are amazing their customer service skills are brilliant! Made us feel so welcomed! Would definitely be returning!

The building is very tired and in desperate need of renovation. The toilets were pretty disgusting. The Sunday roast was disappointing- small, dry meat and very overcooked veg. The only redeeming part was plenty of gravy. The burgers that some of our party had looked good. We tried to order beer as they had a £2 a pint promo but then informed us it was only on Fosters, I mean, who drinks Fosters? We're adults! Won't rush back.

Best pub food I’ve had in my LIFE , had the chicken strips and chips and my boy friend had the chicken mix plus we shared a sharers and natchos were divine , brilliant service from Amelia Lisa and Donna , deff will be coming back and so underrated and amazing quality food for not a bad price !!!! Very impressed x

We used to visit this pub at least twice a month before the refurbishment a while back & even then it was absolutely awesome , popped in today & it's even better , fantastic staff & the food oh my god 😁 if you haven't been here go ! This is a ten star place , if only I could give it I would 👍went back today 10/4/23 nothing has changed absolutely awesome, won't be long before we go back again 😉 sorry as it turned out because of busy times we returned today 1/9/24 , to be honest better than it's ever been .

Always a good atmosphere, smiley staff behind bar. Ultimate food challenges if you're brave enough. Otherwise, a huge selection to please most with both food and drink. My boy loves the kid' menu. Quiz nights, food deals throughout week, plus live sports on several tvs. Julie and Tim are the best owners who run the pub and are both very hands-on.

Great value pub, one of our go-to places if we fancy eating out during the week. Wide range of food, including all the steaks, burgers and pub classics you could wish for! The bar staff and food waiting team are always pleasant and service with a smile. Oh, and the millionaire waffle fries are amazing!👌

There was a lovely lady running the pub and hosting the quiz night… very welcoming and engaging names Gemma I believe…. The atmosphere was vibrant and she was a delight to encounter. We only came in for one drink but stayed due to her personality. Christmas did come early !! Very happy punter

Myself and my wife booked a table for 6.30 pm this evening got there 15 mins early but the lady service us was was great not a problem 👌 service was great and the food was very good and nice and hot also come out very quickly 😀 10 out of 10 . We would very much like to thank Courtney Chloe and Donna for a lovely evening ❤️ look forward to our next meal .

We came here after a really poor experience at the Star inn. The staff were so welcoming and when asked if the dog was allowed they said “absolutely” The food was excellent and served on hot Plates. Real value for money and great service. After deserts the staff brought some treats for the dog which was a really nice touch. We was on holiday in the area and would highly recommend this pub to anyone else with a pet who wants to eat out.

It's been some time since I visited the Rodmill but just have to say it was even better than when I was last here, the staff are so friendly and accommodating, Julie the manager is so upbeat and engaging, Donna, Chloe and Courtney are a credit to the business.

Food was absolutely spot on! Food was piping hot, steaks and chicken cooked beautifully. Staff really warm and friendly. Great family meal out!

Lovely clean pub with good atmosphere. Food was good on the whole and nicely presented. Didn’t have to wait long at all for it!! Lamb koftas slightly overdone would be my only criticism. Partner had gammon skillet which was very nice, lovely thick juicy gammon! Pud was delicious 😋

Mains decent enough, it's a greene king you have an idea the kind of level your going to get, burgers as mains was good, the lotus cheesecake quite awful, strange texture about it too, could prob use some toffee/lotus sauce to help the flavour/for presentation.... also hollow scoop of ice cream

OK so just spent a lovely afternoon here with my family for a special send off for my son before he goes into the army. First of all Lisa,Lauren or Laura apologies I have forgotten as had a few drinks lol had made our afternoon wonderful they couldn't do enough for us everything they done came with a smile,the food I had to get one of them to check the price when paying as I couldn't believe how cheap it was 2,kids and 5 adults mains only came to £65 wow and it was absolutely perfectly cooked and good produce. The staff were all amazing including the people behind the scenes ie kitchen staff (big thanks) made our special day special, However the gents toilets need considerable attention due to smashed tiles bad lighting, also the place could do with cleaning the menus and the bar side,the staff I have mentioned work so hard they wouldn't of had a chance to have done this as assisting the public constantly ,and the rotten window sills outside would actually fall apart if you pulled them. Staff , food brilliant, premises need attention. Thank you guys .

Came here for a bite to eat before going to the cinema with a few bikers, had great food and very quick service amazing food had the steak which came out on a flaming hot plate. Staff are very friendly and happy to help wherever they could.

Enjoyed a meal deal with a couple of drinks but the manageress stood out with her competence and genuine positivity!

The whole place is very tired and scruffy inside and out, food is average, service is OK, but the male toilet condition says it all, tiles off large areas of the wall, both sinks blocked, and the urinal waste pipes appeared to be leaking onto the floor. Greene King need to sort it out , it does no good for their reputation.

Omg I am not sure who the old lady in the dress is but she is rude and should be sacked off asap. The toilets are disgusting and look like they haven't been cleaned for 6 months and the food was dry. Avoid!!

I visit this pub/restaurant with a group of elderly quite frequently. The staff are always very friendly. The food is amazing value for money and very decent too. A few screens dotted around show sporting events. Good selection of drinks. Make sure you register your vehicle once in to avoid parking charges. Most drinks are a good price, except coke, etc. for some reason.

Perfectly good for a mid week meal with family.

Stumbled upon this Flamming Grill pub, when we were turned away from a grubby Harvester in Sovereign Harbour.. I'm so glad Harvester didn't have any space on Easter Sunday. This Pub, was excellent, food was fresh and tasty, nothing too much of an ask for the bar team. Didn't mind the kids sitting on the next table along playing their card games 😁. I even ordered a Beer and the bar Manager (I guess, if she's not she should be), rememberd I have 2 shots of lime in it.. The whole place was friendly and welcoming, clearly has it's regulars who seemed happy and well looked after too. Overall, if you are ever in Eastbourne, forget the main chain Harvester, which wouldn't have been a patch on the Rodmill Flamming Grill, get yourself down here and have a nice meal with great atmosphere. Thanks.

Food was fantastic tasting and well presented well but a whole meal was missed out from our order. It was cooked and given free though as it was their mistake. Edit 7 years on. THE best food at great prices.

Visited The Rod mill for a meal with girlfriends , having never eaten here we decided we would give it a chance. What can I say apart from everything was 1st Class. Piping hot and tasty food and wine was chilled. The team working were very busy and this did not stop them from giving us fabulous service. Cannot praise enough the smooth running of a restaurant by the team. Lisa was fabulous and kept us entertained (what an asset to a restaurant) Well done Lisa you are amazing and really did brighten up the night. Will be back again very soon.

Very inexpensive, but it shows. Could do with a refurbishment. Menu very colourful to look at but all over the place and not easy to read . However the staff were lovely. All orders have to be given at the bar ,which is extremely inconvenient. I had To go up five times . Drinks, meal order for five people , pudding, coffees and finally to pay . Luckily the bar was not full.

Spot on the food was brilliant the waiting time wasn’t too long had a nice chat with the worker’s also plus the dessert got my tummy in paradise aha also the waitresses were a star too !!!

1st visit to the Rodmill Eastbourne and definitely will go back. Had a last minute booking birthday family meal. All enjoyed the steak night, Professionally cooked. Staff and chef were all so polite and friendly. All staff looked happy & made a great team. Quality food at a great price. Really friendly and nice atmosphere for all ages. Also clean and caring service. Lovely place, Lovely people, Thanks to the Rodmill staff for making us have an excellent experience. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back again one day. Lovely meal tonight. Staff very friendly and attentive. Food was very nice and reasonably priced. The 2 meals for £13.49 on weekdays is amazing, the kids loved their gammon and macaroni cheese. I had the Jamaican stew, which was very nice and hubby had a burger which he thoroughly enjoyed too. 10/10. So nice and refreshing to have friendly happy staff. Looking forward to coming back

We came here for my daughters 9th birthday but it also happened to be Mother's day. Our server was Donna who was very attentive, and made sure we were happy throughout our meal. The staff were more than happy to light the birthday cake candle and bring out the cake whilst singing happy birthday to my daughter. Food was lovely. We would definitely come again.

I have been coming here for a few years now and it has always been amazing. Great atmosphere, one of the best services I’ve gotten and all the food that we ordered was delicious. I can’t stress it enough how great The RoadMill is.

Sadly received a parking charge notice a few weeks ago have tried to contact the PCn Britannia and they have asked me for a receipt ! This is so late to receive notice of needing this and as a designated driver I did not get a receipt for my water . Really upset that I was not made aware at the time of my visit about the requirements of parking not queried at the bar , the signage was massively obscured late at night on a stormy evening January very disappointed that a nice evening has been ruined . How can I deal with this ?
