We stayed at the hall and decided to try the Lodge for breakfast. The building had been wrecked by neglect and fire and the new owners have done a wonderful job rebuilding it The food was good and the young lady serving us was lovely and very hard working.

Hunter wrap was tasty but Yorkshire was burnt and spoiled taste. No reaction to being told and no good will gesture. But good service and clean place.

We went to the Rossington Hall Lodge for 'elevenses', primarily because someone told us dogs are allowed. They are NOT, but they have a couple of good sized picnic tables outside, which we used. The ladies fussed the dog, and even brought him water and a little snack! The coffee / scones / cakes we had were lovely, and the service was faultless. I have to say also, that the inside area looks spotless and 'classy'. OK it's not cheap, but it IS value for money, which is surely what matters. Let me put it this way; we will be back, without the dog, very soon. Lovely place, lovely staff, can't fault it!

Called in for a bacon sandwich to take away this morning. The lady who served me said that they do them on Pani bread or I could have it on normal bread which I chose. When I got back to my destination and opened it wow it was two slices of bread with three slices of bacon on .At £7.50 I felt that I had just been robbed unfortunately I will not be using the lodge cafe again and I will be telling others to avoid.

We weren't intending to dine anywhere, but our grandaughter was attending a Pool Party at The Hall, and our daughter directed us to its nearby Lodge . I'm so glad she did because we had a truly lovely experience . The decor was in character for the age of the building, with charming copper ornaments. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and my husband, who loves well cooked food, pronounced his meal as, 'delicious! I would heartily echo that sentiment. Reasonably priced too . Thankyou The Lodge. Well be back .

My first visit with a friend today and really impressed! Beautifully decorated and cosy, with warm and friendly service. I had the ham and poached eggs on toast and pecan pie, both delicious! This is the ideal place to go for afternoon lunch and we will definitely recommend to everyone!

This is my second visit to the Lodge and it didn’t disappoint. It’s and ideal place for a catch-up with friends over a light lunch, breakfast or just a snack. The decor is lovely, the waitress very pleasant and helpful and the food is good. I shall definitely return.

on 23102022 family and friends gathered at The Lodge to celebrate my wife's special birthday... twenty two of us took over the place... aged five months to eighty six. the staff were very accommodating and relaxed even with the toddlers running around. food and drinks served in good time and no-one felt rushed. the staff were great with their cheerful demeanour and chattiness. sunday lunch menu, good food, piping hot and plentiful. nice relaxing atmosphere as we did musical chairs to chat. central location for our guests, good parking and access for the older generation. first time many had visited the venue and all were very complimentary. a special day made more special.... Bravo....

The Lodge is pleasantly different in decor and style. You can park close to the entrance door which was very useful for my Dad. We really enjoyed our light lunch with a very generous salad. The service was excellent. We will most definitely go there again.

Good if you’re on a diet. The staff member was completely devoid of any type of emotion. The cheese and caramelised onion panini didn’t have any caramelised onion in it. It also contained such a small amount of cheese that you could barely taste it. The menu said crisps and salad there were no crisps either, and the salad mix was half a tomato, half a small slice of cucumber and a bit of green all of which would have fitted on a tablespoon. When I told the woman about these issues there wasn’t an apology just I’ll sort it, fair enough. I waited with baited breath. She returned with a small ketchup sized bowl with around a teaspoon of caramelised onion in it. Crisps on a plate. When we asked for a jug of water for 3 people there was around a quarter of a pint in it.

The lodge house has been beautifully restored keeping original features and decorated to a high standard. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the lunch myself and two friends had. The cheese and chutney panini came without the chutney and the ‘salad’ was pitiful. We had to ask for the crisps as they didn’t come with the dish, although the panini was listed as being served with them. There was a small portion of potato salad which we were told was instead of crisps. A lovely place but sadly we won’t be returning.

Having been twice before we decided to go again after the afternoon at the theatre. At 5pm it was rowdy and the service was terrible. It was full of groups doing bottomless brunch. Not a suitable place for a family to dine. The swearing and behaviour was terrible and the restaurant didn’t do anything to control it or to keep families separate. Waited 15 mins to order drinks and another 10 mins is for them to be served. Amongst other things we ordered king prawns in shells… no napkins, no finger bowl. We had to ask twice for a napkin. Meanwhile our prawns went cold. We also ordered a pasta dish with chicken. The chicken didn’t come. So had to ask for that. When it arrived I’d finished the pasta and was left with chicken. We ordered two aperol spritz - they tasted like soda with hardly any aperol and certainly no Prosecco. They did correct them and they were then nice - but it’s not that hard to make a nice aperol. Service was slow on top of the mishaps. The staff are all barely out of school and just don’t care. One positive was that the food was nice. I wouldn’t return unless they sorted the staff out as I think this is what the issues boil down to. The staff they’ve chosen and the lack of management is going to unfortunately ruin the reputation of this nice restaurant. Rethink the bottomless brunch/decide what you want to be. You can’t be both a nice classy restaurant and offer bottomless brunch - not at least without separating the two and having some noise control.

We visited Bawtry and stopped at the Crown for Breakfast, wow we were impressed the breakfast was not only great value at £11.95 but the flavour of each individual item was really good, the sausage and bacon was good quality and the poached eggs cooked right. we will definately be back. i believe it was the chefs first day so we did send feedback in with the staff. i hope it made his day brighter
