The Lockdown Bar And Grill in Plymouth

Under new ownership. Now called Abbott's Way Bar and Grill. Excellent service with a fantastically decorated restaurant. Drinks were very reasonable and the food was of excellent quality.Fish and chips for mum were succulent and cooked to perfection as was my burger which used excellent quality meat. Desserts were light and refreshing as well. Huge credit to the chefs and bar staff for making my birthday meal and absolutely wonderful time. We will come again.

The pub is always busy, there is plenty of outdoor seating. There is a good menu and staff are friendly and helpful

Me and my family went out for a roast. We go to different places each week and decided to go to The Lockdown. It was amazing. So filling, the cauliflower cheese was lush. You can choose from Chicken, Pork or Beef and they give you a lot. Cheap at £9.95! Well done to all the staff that are working very hard after a time I’m sure was trying for them. Amazing!!

Entré después de escuchar cosas buenas, pero debí haber tenido un día muy malo. Pedí el rollo de pollo con patatas nuevas y verduras asadas, pero qué decepción fue la comida, seca es insuficiente. El rollo no era más un rollo de lo que disfrutaba de mi comida. Estaba tan seco que era muy difícil comerlo y sí, tengo mis propios dientes. Había 3 patatas nuevas en el plato, pero no verduras, sino un pequeño montón de hojas marchitas. Le pregunté a la camarera qué pasó con las verduras y ella regresó con algunos pimientos a la plancha rápidamente, que estaban bien. Ella era maravillosa y claramente apasionada por que los clientes recibieran un buen servicio. Ella quería que tuviera un poco de reembolso, no había pedido uno ya que solo faltaban las verduras, pero lamentablemente tuve que argumentar realmente su punto, supongo que era la gestión. La noche que entramos fue música en vivo, gran voz y claramente popular.

Mire el edificio y el sitio web y es obvio que se ha hecho un gran esfuerzo para resucitar y energizar este pub llano antes bastante triste en un suburbio exterior de la posguerra. Se han hecho todos los esfuerzos posibles a pesar de las restricciones de Covid para ofrecer y atraer. Hay cadenas de luces animadas, una zona de juegos para niños y muchas mesas y bancos en el exterior. Lástima que esté buscando un desayuno y un lugar relajante para hacer el crucigrama, lamentablemente descubrí por el personal charlando afuera, que no abren los días de semana hasta las 11 a.m. y solo sirven comida después de las 12. Pero todo tiene un ambiente amistoso y hospitalario y es mucho más probable que venga, que nunca.
