Not sure but I think they’ve changed their name. Hot 20 mins ago a large code with chips. Code was fine but the chips were uneatable. So hard so so crunky

Excellent food and outside seating area

1st time ordering from here I must say I was not disappointed I will definitely order again

First and last time I'll be using this place . Get more chips in a kids happy meal the fish is tasteless the batter all soggy the sausage even the dog turned its nose up at. Definitely one to avoid.

I had cod and chips and also ordered a battered sausage because a few reviews mentioned small portions. BIG mistake. The whole meal was massive and believe me i can eat. Every bit was delicious and piping hot. The cod was thick, white and flaky and the batter was to die for. Absolutely beautiful. The delivery was early and the delivery guy was very nice and friendly. Thank you. Ill definitely be back. I dont think i could find fault if i tried

Very disappointed ordered 2 fish and chips went to collect and the girl serving had long hair was playing with it and flicking it around..should at least be tied up and should never be handling food after touching her hair that's basic health and hygiene..the food well the chips were OK in one portion but the other was literally all the bits and hard and the fish was OK but the battery oh my so thick and doughy undercooked inside..such a shame isedcto like this place but unfortunately won't use again

Since the girls have been running the chippy the food has gone down hill the need training on how to cook the chips were like a waxy plastic the batter was that thick it was soggy on the inside the fish inside was ok though, me and my partner have used this chippy a few times when the owner used to run it and cook then the food was good, I'm not sure what there doing wrong oil not hot enough batter tastes awful this isn't a one off either but unfortunately it will be the last time.

Ridiculous amount of time to wait, 30 minutes all together. People recieiving their food before you yet you were here before them.

Friendly staff I had what they call fish bites and chips chips were nice but not overly keen with fish bites as didn't know what the fish was. But nicely cooked.

Ordered again tonight and the food was piping hot and perfectly cooked delivered earlier than expected. In fact 5 stars just doesn't seem enough for this outstanding chip shop.

Order was slightly wrong however they was super quick to resolve it and refunded the wrong order! Would order again. Great portions and super friendly staff (maybe the owner) thank you :) Becky&Sash.

Nice Cod and chips we had last night, prices are not bad compared to home. Not enough chips to be honest, fish is overcook but it was overall nice! Pea fritter I dono what to make of it. It was ok. Cook freshly while you wait, ill try again soon.

Claramente no está interesado en el negocio, ya que afirma haber tenido la "oficina central" cancelando un pedido después de mostrar el restaurante cancelado, después de que el restaurante confirmó. Nos mintió por teléfono: Pedido confirmado, repartidor asignado, pedido cancelado 20 minutos después. llamé para preguntar por qué - tenían mi número si no tenían algo en stock, eso está bien, no cancele, avísenos y cambiaremos ese artículo o lo dejaremos, pero no, cancelaron, así que llamé. al parecer, el mensajero apareció y "no tenían registro de este pedido", por lo que el repartidor llama a la oficina central y luego le dice a la tienda que no se preocupe por su error. Ahora que he pedido a través de solo comer y trabajar en un restaurante, sé cómo funcionan las tabletas de solo comer y eso simplemente no es posible. No respeto a los mentirosos. Si no hay algo disponible, no te morderemos las pelotas. estas cosas pasan. Sin embargo, me ofenderé por una mentira descarada.

Clearly not interested in the business as claim to have had "head office" cancel an order after showing restaurant canceled, after restaurant confirmed. Lied on the phone. I'd avoid. Heavily!!!!! Cant comment on the food. They weren't interested in sending us any

It's ok, clean and tidy. Cook to order, so always have to wait. Tasty and reasonably priced. Also took the time to discuss the reasons for.my review, hence the edit. X

I've been popping in occasionally these past six months and each time I come away more impressed. Firstly, the fish and chips are fantastic! Excellent flavour, excellent portions and extremely reasonable prices. The service is also always spot on. But my favourite thing about this place is how sustainable it's trying to be. I'm cutting down my plastic use, trying to buy products without palm oil and currently doing a vegan month...all the things that seem to send people into a frenzy. But the owner has been genuinely pleased to tell me all the sustainable changes he has made - I can have my chips in a box that breaks down quickly and easily - no raised eyebrows if I don't want polystyrene. The palm oil used is sustainably sourced through the Round Table guidelines. The batter is dairy free which makes lots of options vegan beyond just chips...there is also a vegan sausage (I think?) And the curry sauce and gravy are vegan. He will also cook things separately for you. If any of this is your bag this is the place to come. If it's not you're helping the planet without even having to try. For a small business to make this kind of effort when it is expensive to do so is extraordinary. It is always a pleasure to chat to the owner who offers the information readily, and doesn't think I'm about to preach about my sustainable choices. Support a local business doing great things and making great food. Thank you for surprising me every time and filling me up until I can hardly breathe!

A tiny, independent, traditional fish and chip shop which does pretty much what it says in the tin. Clean, quick, friendly and reasonably priced. If you fancy cod and chips, or a jumbo sausage in batter (with a little pot of curry sauce, of course :-) you can't fault them.

This few portion of chips I have got from there were underccoked and had to go to bin :(

Lukewarm chips, fish had me on the toilet within half an hour, previously bought a portion of chips which I could count on 2 hands. I wouldn't have botheredleaving a review if it wasn't for the stomach pain, the fish did smell a bit off but was very hungry after work so risked it, I won't again. Also the owner seems to be in denial about it all and has asked me to contact him 3 times, seems rather aggressive

Great corner shop plus Chip shop

Been there twice not impressed unfortunately. Chips are never great leave a funny taste in your mouth and stomach feeling unwell. partner asks for extra vinegar and can never taste the vinegar so must be watered down. The cheese is extremely processed and doesn't melt. Portion size is okay albeit not great so will leave 2 stars not 1. If there is nowhere else within distance and you are craving chippy then I would probably still avoid this place.

Found it on here. Not open Sunday lunchtime when we came back from the pub but open evenings. Small very welcoming, chips perfectly done and the battered fish just right although we had to wait a few minutes. Averagely priced and good value for the quality. got caught in the non stop weekend rain. Parked in the double yellows and only discovered later that there are some public spaces about100m down the road.

Found this place by accident. They are a proper fish and chip shop that is spotlessly clean. Everything was cooked fresh to order, we could even see the man cutting the chips at the back of the shop as it is quite small and you can see everything. Best fish and chips I have had in years, lovely crispy batter, big white chunks of cod, proper chips. Beautiful.
