We had a lovely evening at this beautiful restaurant. The staff are all very friendly & attentive. We ordered from the set menu. To start my daughter had the soup & I had the burrata, for our main course I chose the chicken & my daughter had beef wellington. The food was excellent, everything was just perfect. We ordered some cocktails that were different but tasted fab. There’s a relaxing, chilled out vibe about the place which was really nice. Would also like to say a special thank you to Lyle for making us feel welcome & looking after us.

A disappointing experience-the place had come highly recommended,but we found it ordinary and the food uninspiring.Our evening was also spoilt by a very loud "gentleman" on the next table, whose conversation could doubtless be heard throughout the restaurant.We will not return

Beautiful pub with character in Old Windsor. Adam Handlings stamp on the menu with signature classic offerings such as the amazing chicken butter and cheese donuts! We ate as a family group and had the set menu which I recommend. The courses were tasty and well presented. Also offered a nice children’s menu

Food is good. Slightly overpriced but good nonetheless. However that would have been made up for by service, which unfortunately was lacking. Food was slow to come out. About 30 minutes for starters, then 45 minutes before mains. And if you aren’t going to bottles on the tables, you need to be really focussed on keeping tables topped up. Repeatedly having to look around for a tip up, at the price level, is crazy.

Very busy restaurant on a Wednesday evening, but for good reason. The staff were excellent, the atmosphere was buzzing and the food was very good. My only criticism with the food is that the dishes we ate all had too many sauces or other added extras. However, I would happily eat there again, but would request slight modifications on what I ordered.

After a couple of attempts to get a table, I got l lucky, a top table on the terrace in the early summer sunshine. Service was attentive and swift. Food was 1st class - a good range of starters and we all focused on the Sunday roast range (there are additional options). Beef Wellington was excellent however the portion size was just about passable at about 1cm thick. The negroni was out go this world! Will v. happily return.

It was my sons birthday and we were staying at a hotel down the road as we were going to Legoland the next day but I really wanted to eat here but had left it too late as it was full when I tried to book a few days prior. On the way to the hotel from London during the day time we actually passed the Loch & Tyne in the car enroute to the hotel so I popped my head in to see if they could do anything to fit us in for an early doors dinner that evening. It was a Saturday so I din't fancy my chances however the Manager Josh pulled it out of the bag and managed to squeeze us in. I don't think that the space was the issue it was more the case that so much work and effort goes into each dish that the chefs need the time to work meticulously on each dish so it is important not to over book the restaurant out and put pressure on the kitchen. I must say we tried many dishes and as you will see in my pictures each dish was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The staff advised us on which dishes to go for and were so friendly. It was our sons birthday and they even brought him out a birthday cake and candle and our waiter Lyle was very accommodating too. Josh made our night fun and was entertaining our son playing hide & seek with his marvel characters, we had great fun. We shared the tarte tatin for dessert between two which was divine. I would say that this is a special occasion type eatery and is not cheap. As we were driving we didn't take a bottle of wine but asked for a couple of glasses and they were extremely costly. However the food and service was top notch and this is reflected accordingly. If I lived in the area I would most certainly come here regularly for those special occasions! Keep up the great work!

Good menu choices, interesting food combinations. Set lunch very good value for money. My meal was spoilt by an unfortunate accident of having water spilt all over me by our waiter sitting in a wet dress not the most pleasant of experiences, which detracted from the meal.

I’ve been waiting a while to get round to eating here as it’s only 10 minutes from home. I went with my niece for lunch. She had Mother and chicken with asparagus with wild garlic. She enjoyed hers, although she said she couldn’t taste the wild garlic but the chicken gravy was excellent. I was less impressed with my food. Beef tartare was very pretty but came with so many bits and pieces mixed into it, I couldn’t taste the beef, which for me is the whole point of it. I followed with whole plaice. It was ok. The sauce was delicious, although the clams listed on the menu were barely there and, again, there was so much other stuff, it was difficult to taste the fish. 2 types of caviar, 2 or 3 types of sea veg overpowered the whole dish. Neither of us drink alcohol so we had non alcohol mixes. Very good. Service was great. Efficient, friendly, unobtrusive. Probably won’t go back

We had an exceptional lunch today. The food was some of the best we had eaten, original food full of flavour, beautifully presented. Josh the Manager looked after us so well, giving great guidance on the wines. We could not recommend this more highly and much look forward to returning very soon.

We had a fantastic evening at the Loch and tbe Tyne. The food was outstanding - my favourites were the cheese donuts and onion tart starter. The pork main and venison burger were excelllent too. Delicious puddings also. We loved the atmosphere - relaxed and calm with the perfect level of service. We were celebrating family birthdays - it was a perfect evening. This our third time at this restaurant, this time with friends so I had high expectations. The food as usual was delicious and of high standard, however our young waitress was a little too familiar and didn’t strike the balance between being professional whilst being friendly and efficient. We did feel that the waitress was looking to upsell at every opportunity, failing to inform us that the hash brown’s with truffle would attract an extra surcharge of £5 each. The pace of the courses coming out of the kitchen made the whole experience feel rushed and the establishment wanting to turn the table. At the end of the meal we decided to have another glass of red wine, this time allowing the waitress to choose something based on our individual preference, however she didn’t confirm the price of the wine prior to pouring a glass. It was only when she showed us the bottle that we finally found out the price. We were shocked that our friend would be charged £49 for a glass of Margaux. Had we known the price upfront we could have avoided an unsavoury end to our night. Fortunately the management handled the situation well and resolved to our satisfaction. I do agree with other reviews that the mark up on wine is too high.

Booked for a Friday lunch. Nice touch that front table we’re aware of our travel plans from the booking email (it’s the little things that count). Lovely lunch at a very reasonable price. Would definitely return when next in the area.

Excellent lunch for my daughter's birthday. Efficient and solicitous staff, prompt service and really good quality food, especially venison burger, mac and cheese, trifle and unique cheese doughnuts. Not that cheap but good value for money and I would most definitely return.

Sensational food and great service. The menu was a delight! Try the chicken bread and butter amazing taste! My fish. Chips and mushy peas was fabulous, the portion on the big side, but who’s complaining. We have also been to The Frog and, for a more casual, lower price option the Loch & Tyne did not disappoint. This is a lovely local pub with delicious food and a very cosy and inviting atmosphere. It was quiet when we went so the staff were not busy. They were very friendly and attentive. The food was really tasty and great value for money.

High end pub lunch. 8 of us ate in a private room upstairs which was very nice, as the pub downstairs was very busy and quite noisy. Expensive Sunday lunch £175 per couple ( inc 2 bottles of wine only). But good food of a high standard, as you would expect. Had the beef wellington, and some would argue that should be more beef, and less surround, and not enough 'crust', but that may be just our taste. Wine list was certainly not standard and different. Service very good from out dedicated waitress. May return, but would consider before, as it was expensive.

Friends 60th birthday celebrations! Had the tasting menu with wine flights. Everything was outstanding! Lovely private dining room and great service. Highlights: the cheese doughnuts, the chicken butter and sourdough bread. Adam Handling’s signature dish “Mother” is an incredible dish and not to be missed. This was definitely one of the best meals out I’ve ever had and we will definitely return.
