We were regular customers at the beeston restaurant, So thought we would travel and give the notts one a go! So glad we did, everything was perfect, All 3 of us had starters which were great, We all opted for The mussels marinaras as mains which was what we were all craving and missing, they were everything and more! We will definitely be back! Thank you for an amazing evening.

Absolutamente delicioso. No puedo poner en palabras lo deliciosa que fue esta comida. Teníamos el plato de mariscos. Toda la comida fue cocinada fresca. Todo estaba condimentado impecablemente y sabía diferente. Tan agradable, honestamente no puedo expresar lo sabrosa que era la comida.

Me my brother and son who is 13 go here 3 times a year and we have never had a bad dish and we have different meals every time, my son loves it and the service is 100% very nice people I recommend you give it a try 😉

Excellent seafood dishes and very nice service. Crispy duck is very nice and a large dish as well. The lobster is done very well, a "surf and turf" option with steakywould be great. All the starters we tried were good too, and the Thai green chilli mussels were great. We visited on a Thursday and only one other couple was in the restaurant. It's on a main road so parking has to done a few minutes away.

El Lobster Pot es mi restaurante favorito de todos los tiempos. Si te gustan tus mariscos, este es sin duda el mejor lugar en kilómetros a la redonda. Mi esposa y yo somos clientes habituales. Cenamos allí el domingo y tuvimos ostras, gambas y langosta. Todo 100% delicioso. Lo recomendaría encarecidamente.

Went for a meal, food was very good. I had a late service. Other guest were swearing and shouting. It was such a shame that a member of staff couldn't have asked them to be quite. I'm sure my experience would have been better except for this

Took my Dad and husband here for Father’s Day as my Dad enjoys going to the sister site in beeston. I have to say it was massively overpriced. I was shocked by the meagre portion of salmon-with 3 tomatoes and some fries -£22!! Insane. The jasmine tea tasted like boiled water. The quality was certainly not what we were expecting especially for the prices we were charged. Left feeling really disappointed and ripped off. 5 adult meals, one round of non alcoholic drinks £166!!! Really sorry but don’t recommend there are so many nicer better value and higher quality restaurants to enjoy. Please don’t waste your hard earned money here.

Poor choice of beer and wine. Curry dry and boring though told it came in a sauce. Pan fried prawns probably not panfried and tasteless. No white wine sauce and only luke warm. Dreadfully overpriced. No wonder almost empty on a Saturday night. Left feeling robbed. We won't be returning

The food is not delicious. The rice is too hard. The old man in this restaurant used disrespectful words towards me. He said Anywhere you can sit, you can sit on the floor if you want It's not funny, it's rude 😒 I think he is the manager or maybe the owner of the restaurant. He shouldn't have said this to a customer.

Took the family for a meal out. The food was basic but at fairly high cost. I had a starter (squid) and main ("full" portion of mussels), and was still hungry. Asked for some more bread to go with my mussels but they said they'd run out. We had a bottle of white wine, which hadn't been chilled. My son and husband enjoyed their seabass - for £22 it includes a side (they had rice/potato) but it doesn't come with any other veggies - that's £5 extra. All in all, some of the flavours were nice but it was overpriced for a basic meal.

Amazing. Had the platter for my birthday. Couldn't ask for better food or atmosphere. Bee and the team were really cool and made us feel really at home. Ten out of peng!

Always wanted to eat here but it was a bit of an anticlimax. The food was OK but I think there was just the one waiter so service was slow. Don't think we'll be going back as there are cheaper places with the same quality food about.

Great fish restaurant, and well worth going to celebrate a special occasion. Friendly staff and most importantly the food is delicious. We had a seafood platter which is recommended for two people. We both left full. The atmosphere has a busy buzz about it, but loud enough to be a problem. Would happily go again. My personal favourite was the queen scollaps and the cooked oysters

Unfortunately, the amount of food for the price we paid was a shock, because for the sum of £ 160 I expected something different, honestly In other words, if we didn't eat a big breakfast, we would be hungry, the plate we received in the picture looks big, unfortunately these are small snacks, enough for my son (16) we try eat proper seafood but unfortunately we were disappointed, I never complained about prices and food, especially when it was good and expensive, but this time I just felt sorry

The food tasted amazing! It was a little disappointing that the menu online was different in the restaurant and the price advertised online. We ordered the sharing platter that no longer includes the whole crab, pork belly that was incredible and the whole lobster. The service was great and food arrived quickly.

Meals ordered: Garlic Bread Prawn Spring Rolls One whole lobster grilled with garlic and butter Drinks ordered: Ginger beer for me and one Appletiser for the lady. Price Summary: Prices of meals were decent and fair. Meal Review: After looking for a place to have a nice date night and neither of us had had lobster before, we decided to try lobster and the first location that came up was the lobster pot. Ambiance was quite Christmassy which is a nice touch given the season and the usual chit chat on every table as expected. We were greeted by Corwin and he asked if we had made a reservation which my fiancée confirmed affirmatively and we ushered to a table in no time. Corwin then took our order and we had drinks served in minutes. Corwin’s service was top class excellent and we were very happy he attended to us. Right! Onto the meals we went! Both garlic bread and prawn spring rolls were served together and they were lovely, garlic bread had a nice garlic and herbs spread on top and a nice crunch on the bottom. Prawn spring rolls was hot and delightful but the presentation was a bit lacking. I must say, the Lobster was firm to cut and bite at first but we liked it. It could do with a little bit more grilling and seasoning per fiancée’s opinion and I slightly agree. The butter wasn’t soggy to overwhelm the dish but plenty enough to enjoy the lobster. The egg fried rice on the other hand demands a bit of attention because it wasn’t really appetising to complement the lobster which is a let down. Overall, we had a nice date night and I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who is yet to try lobster.

Awesome place. Because it's small and needs booking before. So quite and not overcrowded. Definitely it feels like home. Nice environment and professional staff. Good food and an enjoyable experience.

The food here is exquisite. I had the Thai rice and prawns whereas my boyfriend had the sea bream. Both dishes cooked to perfection. Service was great too.

I have been to the Beeston Lobster Pot, so I was expecting great quality but this still exceeded expectations. We ordered a few starters to share which we unfortunately forgot to photograph. They were all very good, especially the Haddock Chowder. For main course we ordered the Ultimate Seafood Platter which had delights of lobster, clams, crabs, prawns and oysters. The lobster had a choice of sauces and we had the cheese option this time. We enjoyed the evening tremendously, not only because of the marvellous food but also because of the magnificent service, which was friendly and informal, making things very comfortable. The overall cost is a little more than other restaurants but I feel that the quality of the food and the excellent service easily justify the extra cost. I have spoken to my dining partner and we will be returning to try other options.

Went here for our 5 year wedding anniversary meal and had the calamari and sesame prawn toasts for starters, followed by the seafood platter, which was incredible. The friendly and attentive staff went out of their way to make our meal extra special with candles in the platter and a choice of free prosecco or dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Will definitely return the next time we're in Nottingham.

The food was fantastic we had an ultimate seafood sharing platter. Lovely venue and great service. We were visiting Nottingham to go to the theatre and this was just a few mins by taxi. Would definitely recommend.

Service was excellent and we're not writing the place off yet - will be back one more time to try the seafood platter. But our food order wasn't great - tuna steak was very dry (overcooked), the mussels were in a far too oily sauce that caught the back of your throat and made you tear up, and there was almost no prawn in the toast (you expect large prawns when at a restaurant rather than your average Chinese takeaway). It was also pretty empty, so I think they're struggling, and I heard someone else complain about the Tuna too. Still had a lovely evening but food let it down... hopefully seafood platter will be better.

What a delightful place this was to visit. Right from the start we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable which is a big plus for me personally. Food was lovely(we had the platter) sadly the crab had sold out but were given extra mussels and prawns. Really sorry i didn’t get the chaps name who we chatted to a lot but you were excellent as was the other staff. Can’t wait to visit again

I don't even know where to start. We were greeted by Scott... who was the best host. The food is amazing!!! Not even joking. The prawn toast, prawn spring rolls and the prawn cocktail were sublime....grilled salmon was cooked to perfection as was the lobster. If you like fish then what are you waiting for......get yourself here and enjoy.

I celebrated my birthday at "My Lobster Pot Restaurant" in Nottingham, and it was an incredible experience! The seafood here is nothing short of exquisite. We came for a meal to celebrate my 70th birthday. What a let down, I had fish and chips with a portion of onion rings. They had no onion rings and the batter on the fish was burnt. My partner wanted surf and turf but they had no prawns so he settled for Ribeyed steak. My sweet of Tiramisu was partly frozen. So disappointed and there weren’t many people in. So different from last year. This was the Lobster Pot Bridlington

I would say the best seafood you can find in Nottingham. Friendly faces, great service. Lobster and mussels were really good. But grilled oysters were phenomenal. Nice selection of wines.

Really good service and tasty food. Nice small restaurant so very cosy. The staff we spoke to were really friendly, chatted with us a bit and remembered a couple of things we said for a nice comment when we left - really like that. Service was quite slow considering it was half empty in there. Not so much the food coming out but things like waiting for dessert menu or the bill, we had to keep trying to catch their eye as nobody came over - they should work on that. People don't like to be hassled but don't like to feel forgotten either. Food was good - hot and fresh, very tasty and clearly good quality ingredients. Good for the price I think. We will return!

This was an absolutely fantastic meal. There was a little bit of confusion with the booking but it was handled wonderfully by Scott. The food was incredible. We went for the seafood platter as we were in the mood for a treat. This was after the bodyguard. I’m really looking forward to going back, as there are lots of things on the menu I didn’t get to! Best meal I’ve had in Nottingham for a long time!

10/10 Traveled a good 1 hour 40mins to try and i can honestly say it didnt disappoint. Its by far the best place I've ever eaten the starters & plater was so full of flavour, the service was great & we were also provided with a highchair, child friend cutlery & plate for our 8 month old who enjoyed sharing our food! I have just got back from the Lobster Pot and I felt I had to review this restaurant straight away. I decided to treat my husband and Dad for Father’s Day and I am so happy that we went. The service and welcome was warm and friendly, you can actually hear yourself think as it’s a gentle atmosphere. The food is to die for, I had mussels in a white wine, cream and garlic sauce and my husband and Dad had the seafood platter for two , there is more than enough for two and my mussels were so tasty and fresh!

We've been trying to make it here for ages. We dined as a 4, wine list was reasonable andbsuited the dishes. The chowder was the stand out starter and probably the best I've had for a long while. We all had lobster and fries, it was amazing, again the best I've had in ages. The service was fantastic and the owner(?) Made us feel welcome throughout.

The lobsters were soo dry and not tasty at all The jasmine rice I ordered was just plain rice. Not tasty at all, no gravy and doesn’t taste good at all. Don’t recommend to anyone. No sauce given. King prawns were barely king sized. The ambience was soo dry only my group were there in the restaurant. The people seemed very nice thou. Not value for money at all.
