Loves commenting on negative reviews trying to justify his self.. and there is a LOT of negative reviews saying the same thing.. terrible value for money in this dump of a place! 3 strings of discussing greasy donner meat and 12 bang average chips… good value for money apparently..

Best chippy around ..but ! Please can you get some proper hot chilli sauce and jalapeno peppers ..you're home made chilli is nice but there isn't any heat to it at all nor is you're hot sauce ...that's all that's missing for me HOT 🔥 CHILLI SAUCE... PLEASE 👍

We always go to Andys. We have moved out of the area now and have tried chippy's near us, but we always come back to Andys as it is always very tasty and great value. We've tried pretty much everything on the menu over the years and have never had a bad meal from it.

Fish & chips taste great, large servings. Very friendly staff, clean place and easy on-street parking. We always stop at fish & chips places a couple of times when visiting the uk and this is definitely one of the best ones we’ve been to!

I only Live around the corner and I’ve been eating at Andy’s fish bar for a while. The food is fantastic. The Kabab is Nice. Don’t get me started on the fish that is so fantastic. The staff are always Friendly with customers and always have a chat and a laugh. I definitely recommend Andy’s fish bar. The prices are good also for the amount you get.

Great chip shop that is very popular. The decor is modern and clean. Good amount of space in the shop and plenty of parking. The star of this place is definitely the cod. With at least 5 people before me waiting for it. So that's what I ordered and it did not disappoint. The large is HUGE and could split between two so opted for the mini. Probably the best cod I've tasted from a chip shop. The large chips were plenty to split between 2 and a child or 2 decent portions. I prefer my chips more cooked and almost crispy but that's personal preference. Would recommend and would return.

Staff were lovely and had great banter with customers, it's very clean and there seems to be lots of food on offer. The chips were lovely but the doner meat is awful, it was definitely fresh but it's got a horrible, overpowering spice to it, the salad was like dry coleslaw, with the cucumber chopped into tiny chunks and it did have an awful taste to it too, I'm not sure why. It could all be personal preference , but I've not had a kebab that bad in a long time, it ended up in the bin. Shame as Andys was highly recommended and we went out of our way to fetch it.

Great chippy. Fish is always fresh and batter is good. Only gripe is that the chicken meat isn't always the standard you would expect from there

Crap fish ( tasteless) and high price chips was hard and bitty jacket potato was brown and kebab meat was in tiny pieces spent £21.80 waste of money avoid at all cost staff was not the best

Was hungry after long day. Went in about 815. Have used Andy's many times when visiting my mum in Bilborough.Friendly , polite, pleasant staff, freshly cooked fish and chips and peas. Absolutely delicious. 10/10. 👍

Foods always bang on, lovely clean place. Just the kebab sizes aren’t big enough for the price. No offer of small or large either which is a shame because I’d happily pay more for more food!

We always go to Andys for fish & chips, we travel from bulwell Hall to bracebridge drive to get decent food, great service,

Dry chips, dry sausage, runny mushy peas and curry sauce. Prices are high portions are small quality is poor had an upset stomach since eating here. Used to be very good gone down hill massively. Service was cold but quick did see a young girl and 'cook' start a heated argument with a older customer about if mushy peas were a sauce or not which I thought was unnecessary especially with the shop being busy. Honestly save your money, tastebuds and stomach and go else where. Can't reply so editing was not a a value meal was medium chips. If you think I'm driving back for a refund after I just finished work your crazy. Honestly only left review this because it's upset my stomach. I hope Andy's get back to how it used to be when I lived local

I am Vegetarian, very picky eater and a germaphobe. My family and I have lived in Bilborough our entire life. We had always used another chippy nearby but did not like it now. I asked my sister Sylvia where the cleanest chip shop was, she said try Andys "He is the best". OMG! I am blown away. Andy cooked my chips in totally separate oil to avoid contamination, Taste was out of this world so fresh and not oily at all, Mushy peas and veg curry sauce were unbelievable. This is the cleanest chip shop I have gone to in years it is immaculate. Andy, and his staff are so friendly and welcoming they really make you feel like family. In my opinion this is the best chip shop in Nottingham or possibly even England. On my return to America, I have been craving Andys Chippy constantly. In my 58 Years, I have never written a review of ever felt the need to, But I believe Andys chip shop deserves to be put on a platform. Outstanding in every way. 5******** Can't wait to come back.

This chip shop used to be good...but the last 2 months..is gone down hill.thats becouse the chips are aiways burnt and dry.. that's cos andy the owner...cook them to fast and in far to much in very hot oil..the owner does not give a toss...would he eat his own chips...i dont think so...i am surprise he still get cutomers..they must have a bad pelllets..sort in out Andy mate....

Been here a few times in last few months all the staff are lovely apart from the little Asian lady in there she’s very snobby and very rude she needs some customer service skills also halve if there’s value meal boxes don’t make sense as u can get a kids kebab meat and chips for £3.90 and then pay £5 for a value kebab meat and chips that’s basically the same size plus they charge u £1 for salad and then try give u a tiny bit overprice good if u ask me also saw the fat white guy piccking his nose after he come out the back room with the Asian women

£15 for 2 mini fish meals, which was only lukewarm, and we sat in the car to eat it. It's not as good quality as usual. We should have returned it, I guess.

Have a gluten free requirement, we're from out of town, found Andy's on Internet and really pleased we did. Staff were great, if we lived locally would use regularly. Don't often get fish and chips it was a treat.

I go to Andy’s every Thursday for gluten free chips and chicken . The staff have taken the time to learn my order and make it for me each week ready for me when I arrive ! The gluten free food is lovely and at a very reasonable price - I highly recommend.

one of the best! I live in Arnold and drive all the way down to Bilbrough just for Andys kebabs! Been coming here since I was a little child and my children have the privilege to experience the delicious food, wouldn't go anywhere else. Always polite and friendly.😀

Only went because Wollaton was shut and so were 2 other good local chippies. We habe not been for years . Usual Andy's, Curry luke warm ,chips 🙄 ,fish ok not dry at least but the batter was so greasy .The kebab portion was small and expensive ( supposed to be a large) It was cut really thick and you could stand it up on the plate due to the gristle . No idea what happened this was a nice gaff when it first opened .🤢

Andys is a great community hub, you are always greeted cheerfully. I love the chips and personally would not go anywhere else. The staff are brilliant and very helpful. I rate it one of the best places in Bilborough. The Cod is awesome.

Just had fish and chips,curry sauce and kebab meat from Andy's fish bar 🍻 Absolutely cooked to perfection 😋 Fish light and tender and cooked fresh. Fish and chips shop busy (always a good sign),but the two girls serving are absolutely brilliant and work extremely hard.(As does Andy). Think I payed around £17 odd,but I would gladly have payed more as the quality of food is exceptional. Great food. Brilliant staff. Super prices. One of the best fish and chips shops in UK. Folk in Billborough and beyond are lucky to have Andy's fish bar on their doorstep!

Great chip shop, definitely one of the best in Nottingham imho (if not the best). Friendly staff. Usually plenty of parking spaces available but during the peak time you may need to park on the main road.

Been going here for years and today was the first time I’ve been unhappy with the service order mix meat and chips large and got 2 pieces of kebab meat in it when I ask for abit more the staff was rude and told me that’s a portion.I wasnt expecting loads but surely you want more then 2 pieces

Went there today (finally ☺️) After folk had been telling me to go for ages ...and what a brilliant fish and chip shop! Best fish and chips I've had in ages and price of £9.50 for large chips and Haddock was good. Chips were crispy (not soggy). Fish 🎏 was cooked perfectly,moist and tender and full of taste. This fish and chips shop is well worth a visit folks. Recommended. 24/06/22 Update. Just had fish and chips,curry sauce and kebab from Andy's fish bar today. Last time I went it was good(very)😋,but today it was possibly the best I have ever had👍 Fish 🐠 was delicious 😋 and again cooked to perfection 😋 Chips ...again spot on and light.👍 Curry sauce was good too👍 Great value too.👍 Girls who served me were brilliant too and a credit to Andy's fish bar. Andy knows his stuff and it seems no matter what he cooks or fries it's spot on.(in my opinion).👍 I think I'll have to make this my regular fish and chips shop from now on in. Brilliant value in these hard times. Top notch food. Great service. What more can I say?😋👍

This used to be one of the best in the area. Recently I've witnessed the prices go up the portions go down al0ng with the quality of the food. Just purchased chips and sausage and couldn’t eat half the chips as they were hard and sharpe. The sausage was old dry and nasty. Such a shame as i said this used to be a very good chip shop. Come on andy sort it out.

Very busy but the lady was courteous and very pleasant and ensured we got the order we wanted.

To be fair waht little food there was, was OK. However 13 chips in a pie chips and gravy value meal is more than a joke it's a rip off. Way better chip shops in the area that offer a lot better value. I was so disappointed I felt like going back and throwing it in their face. This would barely feed a toddler for £4.90 it's an absolute rip off. Merry Christmas to you too. The last time I'll visit that establishment!

We’ll soon be moving away from Bilborough, and I honestly think Andy’s is what I’ll miss the most. Been coming here 15 or so years and I don’t think I’ve ever not enjoyed the food. Portion size, cost and quality are all fantastic. I’d be hard pressed not to come here when we do move away, and when I’m in the Area I’ll certainly be stopping by Andy’s.
