Visited this Bar for lunch with a friend We only wanted a snack & a drink We chose the ham & cheese toastie which at £12 seemed expensive but considering the surroundings we thought we would go with it When it arrived it was just a toastie made from supermarket bread with no salad or extras and not even nicely arranged At £12 this was extortionate , we pointed out this to a member of staff who was sympathetic but obviously it was out of her hands I definitely would not recommend this place to eat

Reasonable location and surroundings, let down by the food portions. Can’t say the curry was anything spectacular, Sirloin cooked as required but overall quantity was insufficient (more mango than chicken). Looked more like a child’s portion, paying for the “name”

The ambiance and the food was good exactly what we need without a fuss. The salad was fresh and the burger was juicy

We had a great meal at the Living Room. The ambience was just right for a cosy lunch. We had 3 courses all of which were beautifully presented and great tasting. If you are looking for a large meal you will not get it we left feeling totally satisfied Service good too

The main bar tender was attentive and friendly. As of the women bar staff they need to be trained in manners and how to serve drinks.

Very disappointing! We stayed at the hotel to kick start our holiday, and dined in the MPW restaurant on Thursday 13th February, My husband ordered the duck and I the lamb, with a side order of creamed cabbage. It eventually arrived without the cabbage which we had to ask for. The excuse for this was that the printer had run out of paper! We also had to remind them to bring our wine! Obtaining anyone's attention was a challenge! The food was delivered on cold plates and was luke warm at best. When the cabbage arrived it was most disappointing, undercooked and swimming in milky cream. The waiter apologised and said the cabbage was on him! However, when the bill arrived it included the said cabbage! A very disappointing evening! On return from our holiday one week later we were staying at the hotel again and opted to eat in the bar as we had had such a disappointing evening the previous week in the restaurant. We both chose the burgers which we also had to wait a considerable time for, and when they arrived they were tasteless (although the chips were great) another really disappointing experience!

The views here were amazing, the service and value for money outstanding. The very high standard of food was surprising too. A very relaxing evening.

The staff was friendly, however some of the bartenders don't pay attention. The food gets old after a while bc of the limited menu. The friendly staff made my time pass quickly and I appreciate them for that.

Booked for an afternoon tea on Groupon offer. Thought we would be at least be in the main part of the hotel but no, we were seated amongst people in dressing gowns at the health spa. Most odd. The ambience was therefore lacking. The food was average, we sent scones back that we're stale. The tea itself was good in glass tea pots with proper tea leaves. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was good value for the price we paid but don't pay full price, you may be disappointed.

Great food, lovely pub, my dog loves it and staff are super friendly. Served by Chris today who was great and even adapted the dessert so I could have a sundae! Excellent service

Horrible. Parking is nonexistent. If you play on a Saturday get the TRAIN walk down the hill and get a bus. Get off at Tesco. It’s a 3 mile walk. From station to ground. There is a football bus But it is quicker to walk back to station.

Thought this place had been closed but was open. Went in for drinks to be told sternly you can only drink in the bar area! I had coffee so ventured to the coffee machine and was told to make it quick then come back to the bar as that area was for diners only. The place was empty. Staff attitude to all the customers we saw in there was awful. Not surprised if it does close or is closing, paying customers should be treated with respect.

My wife and I had a very mixed experience on Saturday the 8th of February. The waitress serving us was very attentive and friendly, until she wasn't. We had delicious starters and equally delicious mains. The service was great, until we finished our mains. When the waitress cleared our plates, we eventually decided to have a look at the dessert menu, to which we were told they'd be brought right over. They weren't. We waited about 15 minutes and the desert menu didn't arrive, so we went up to the bar and found a couple. Then, after another 15 minutes of waiting, no one came to take our dessert order, so we then flagged down a separate waitress and asked for the bill. It's not like we were sat in a corner out of the way, we were sat right next to the kitchen, our original waitress walked past multiple times and didn't check in with us. It's as if the staff just stopped doing their job after a certain point. We've eaten at The Langford Inn a number of times before, and it's always been brilliant, but for some reason this experience was underwhelming, and left us feeling quite disappointed. We won't be rushing back any time soon…
