Love this chippy. My dad uses this chippy twice a week and loves it, and we both go when I visit dad. Perfectly cooked fish (haddock for me, cod for dad), and plenty of lovely chips. They are still fresh and tasty after a 10 minute trip home. The owners and staff are so friendly. Plenty of free street parking. I would highly recommend 🤩

Best fish and chips within a reasonable drive from Dereham. Despite being very busy, the staff were really friendly. The food was also done to a really high standard. The chips were some of the best I've had and the batter on the fish was perfect (stayed crisp even after being wrapped up and driven 10-15 mins home). A bit of a hidden gem

All staff are funny and a pleasure to be served by. Food is excellent. Downside is that one of the staff is a Chelsea fan 🤣

Gone down hill and prices are not in line with others. Very expensive. I won't use again.

Always friendly reception from all the staff. Lovely food every time. And when ordering have never had to wait for anything, soon as get there its always ready on time every time. One of the best chippys I have ever been to and used.

Prices lower than most I have had recently. Quality some of the very best! Chips light, golden and not greasy, cod beautifully cooked with a light and oh so crisp batter….. not even a hint sogginess!

Wow the chips are the best I have ever had from a chip shop. The staff are really friendly and the prices are reasonable. We have recently moved to the village and have used the chippy for different things. My favourite is the chicken kebab on chips. You get salad and a choice if sauce and so tasty. I like the fact you can ring and place an order. Definitely worth a visit

Long trip back from Scotland. I arrived at 8pm, no queue but busy with orders, not long to wait. Having left Robertsons Hotel ,Carnwath in Lanarkshirel at 10.30am, this morning. Lunch & three comfort/tea breaks. Just about home now, nothing in the cupboard so a welcomed break with great fish & chips, sitting outside.

Not bad. Fish is nice but can not cook a chip as they are hard, pale in colour with very little taste. Chicken Kebab had no taste and didn't taste like it had been marinat. It was just char grilled chicken pieces and the Naam bread was over cooked, hard and had to be thrown away. The battered sausage was half battered and one half, stodgy inside. For a village chippy, you would think that they would try harder to please the locals but there are better chip shops out there, just a few miles in another village which is worth the extra travel. For the cost of a take away here, spending just over £30, it was lacking in quality and taste. Quite disappointed. Must do better.

Quite possibly the best piece of cod Ive ever tasted, the batter was crip and tasted delicious and the chips were cooked to perfection, little to no grease whatsover. I look forward to my next portion, thanks.

A tasty fish and chips was had from here on the way back from the beach, with just a 10 minute wait whilst it was cooked fresh - having been told by 2 places in and near Wells there would be a 60-90 minute queue (for a take away!!!!??)

Purchased cod n chips and sausage in batter and chips. Very disappointing! Chips were dry and over crisp (clearly bottom of the basket). Fish was also very dry as if left over from the day before. Sausage in batter was unedable.

Made a little detor on way home to visit the little chippy... what a beautiful well cooked large cod and chips . The size of the cod was massive so couldn't eat it all ..... highly recommend great staff aswell .

Saw the chippy shop, saw the open sign, parked my car walked back and it was closed despite the open sign and according to the opening and closing time it should have been open. Wont stop there again.

First time in a long time, went on the off chance that it might be open as we were working in the village. First class fish and chips. Not sure how they make the batter for the half a whale size portion of cod! But it was awesome, also best chips in a long time. We'll be back for sure

Im sorry to say that we did not enjoy the chips or the fish...the chips were mostly hard bits and the freshly cooked piece of cod was very dry was very dissapointed.

Great food, fresh and hot, chips not greasy, even refunded a small amount when we popped back indoors to collect as they'd notes they'd added it up wrong.

Very friendly service , good size portions reasonably priced. We had two Regular sized fish and one portion of chips. Because of the size of the portions we could have got away with regular fish and chips aa this would have been enough for us over 60s. Highly recomend this Fish and chip shop

Excellent, have been coming here most of lockdown, doing a bi-weekly collection for folk in our village who were/are shielding. Very friendly efficient staff, and superb Fish&Chips, can highly recommend we wouldn't go anywhere else now! 😊

No complaints. The fish was good , the chips were perfect and the service was excellent. Only disappointment was no gluten free option for the fish, but their chicken kebab can be had without the pita bread, with chips.

What a wonderful team and food! Recently we had a group of around 24 people in Litcham for a church event, I met the ladies who run the restaurant for the first time that week and they were so kind and accommodating. All of the individual orders weren't even confirmed until the night before we needed them, and even on the day we had to change the time we needed the food by 45 minutes - all of which the team went the extra mile to accommodate. Wonderful food quality, portions and selection on top of that and 2 free bottles of drink - couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Nothing beats those Friday fish and chips. At the little chippy in Litcham, you will find tasty fresh fish, cooked to order and decent sized portions. Staff are friendly and efficient. Telephone orders available if you haven't got time to wait. Burgers, kebabs and chicken available if your not a fish fan

I've been stopping in the area for about 10 days now in my caravan and have purchased food not once but on 4 occasions. Every item has been good quality proper chip shop food. The staff Emma (owner) Natalie (her daughter) and Lydia (Natalie's friend) have been very friendly and welcoming and have even offered advice on places to visit in the area. If all chip shops I visited on my travels were anywhere near this good I would be the size of a house. I was apprehensive having read a few of the reviews they had received but like I said to the staff some people write bad reviews just to be awkward.

Great friendly staff, will always tend to your needs and also serve with a smile. The new owners have modernised the shop and continue giving great service. I’ve come here numerous times and have had great meals , so I don’t understand what the recent negative reviews have been about, as I’ve never had a bad, or even average experience!

Rubbish quality fast food at quality food prices

You've heard of couldn't organise a piss up in brewery. Well this lot can't organise service time in a chippy.. If they could sling chips as well as they take money we would all be better off !

Nice, tasty mushy peas, large cod, was dry and overcooked. Haddock was nice, chips also appeared to be dry and overcooked. Had better.

I would just like to say that this chippy is the best around...I couldnt rate them any higher of I tried. Very welcoming and humble family run business...under new management and I haven't got a bad thing to say about them. Food is cooked fresh and the batter is to die for!! More then highly recommended. If I didnt live close I would definitely travel to buy a potion of there fish and chips!! Yummy, well done guys...just brilliant be proud!! Much love...🥰😁

Going downhill rapidly. This was a very good fish shop, but not any more. The last 2 or 3 meals have been truly awful. The last meal was virtually inedible. From now, I won't be going back there again.

Here "large" fish means large fish, and their plaice is the best I've had from a chippy in years. I really need a bigger plate! Friendly staff provide a warm welcome. Most items are cooked to order so call in ahead if you're pushed for time.
