Fantastic fish & chips Beautiful people very satisfied on the food services and the service that I received and I rate this food to all the public.

Fairly certain this chip shop is permanently closed. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!! The phone just rings as well.

Food was cold and chips undercooked not happy

There was a small problem, but the guys solved it very quickly, the food itself was worth the money.

Superb sausage. Wasn’t ur usual chippy banger. Nice n meaty with crunchy batter. Decent chips all freshly ordered. Chap was working by himself but still got our order out in good time. We shall return

Chips weren’t bad but the curry sauce was watery and basically tasteless also the fish still came with skin on didn’t enjoy and the place needs renovating

The food was awful not what I ordered not cooked properly looked disgusting and they forgot my milkshake. Never again will I eat from here. Disappointed I always order from just eat RUMBLES let the site down

We came to Thetford to explore the town, unfortunately the museums were all closed! However, the food we got from Rumbles Fish Bar was excellent. Everything was freshly cooked and we sat outside in the sunshine. The fish, sausages and pie were cooked to perfection as were the chips. We'll be back soon on a day when the museums are open, thanks again to Rumbles Fish Bar for really making our day out special.

Some food delivered rest arrived very late

Hour late had to call to find out where it was , the fish wasnt great batter wasnt crispy and the chips were half cold wont order again really disappointing

First time I ordered the fish and chips from the menu but I am glad I did more than enough portions and cooked beautifully too, will definitely order this meal again.

The chips are brilliant. nothing wrong here at all. battered sausage is just the right amount battered to the point where it isn't too filling and tastes perfect. Service is a bit naff

Visited at lunch time, had cod roe which was good. Cooked to order. We got some chips and the portions are large enough for two people. Friendly service. Worth a visit

There are no sauce options for food. Burger came with no sauce, and donner meat chips and salad came with loads of ketchup and mayo on which I would not have chosen. Chips were soggy, donner meat wasn't very nice, not much flavour, I've had better put it that way. Salad was limp and didn't have onions. My partner said Burger meat was tough and just not a nice flavour to it. Also, spelling on the menu on just eat is atrocious.

I ordered a beef and onion pie and got a chicken and mushroom. I also got a pickled onion and pickled getting instead of pickled egg and no cheese on my chips

The whole order was disgusting. Stuff under cooked, stuff over cooked. Was not nice. Won't order again.

Didn’t enjoy the chicken or jumbo sausage but the chips were ok

I’m sorry to say that i could not get the fish and chips out of the paper and onto a plate. It was a soggy greasy mess. And chips were cold

On Monday around 11:30 e did a oder and made a payment, they sending back. I did again by PayPal. After 1 hour didn’t receive notice, I was on they website and say open Monday to d see Sunday, I call and go to voicemail. I resolve to going to the shop and witch my surprise was close. On Thursday I went on the shop and the man says we are close every Monday. I was very disappointed and say for change he’s information on website and on wes door

Rubbish comes to mind, cold and dry chips,fish is terrible if you can find it in the batter, really disappointing experience.

Three families met up for a day at Dower house. We had taken rolls and snacks. Kids moaning how hungry they were so took a trip to rumbles which is near the camp site. Men folk came back with parcels of chippies. One of us had the fish and chicken nuggets. Oh dear! £19 pounds later (many sooo many) pale Luke warm leathery chips. Almost laughable to be honest. Fish you could bend, nuggets similar to the leather chips. Much tomato sauce and vinegar couldn't disguise the insipid little excuses. We are not fussy believe me, have had many bad experiences in the past, this was definitely one of our worst. Our money lined the pockets so someone was happy at least. Never again. Have read some good reviews but seem to be a while back. Hope rumbles reads this as you have been rumbled, and we are amazed you would serve up such an awful example of your food. Improvements are needed for sure.

My brother and I embarked on a day in Thetford, and this is where we stopped for lunch. A great choice, and one I'd personally be happy to go back to in a heartbeat. Lovely food, very quickly served; I just had a large portion of chips and a coke, my brother had a lovely piece of cod with chips and mushy peas, and a coke. Absolutely well worth the visit, sitting outside in the sun. This will be my go-to when I visit, no question!

Ordered fish & chips ,spicy chips and chicken strips , only used this one as my regular was not delivering this early , i wish i'd waited , absolutely awful bit of fried fish that looked like it had sat on a thermal sock for over 24 hours , couldn't eat it it was that bad and i'm not a fussy eater. Rumbles in Newmarket & Methwold are both outstanding , Thetford's one is terrible !

Just had place (big) sausage in better and large chips, enough chips for the two of us, easily. Place was sublime, sausages were moist and excellent batter, are every last chip. Proper grub, very good value for money. Excellent.

huge cod but dripping oil, good chips and cheap.( 6 pounds Cod and chips) tables to sit outside , could provide a napkin and fork and a bin.

Didn't like the chips but the fish is the best for along time offerd with or without skin. Very friendly person serving. Payment by cash or card.

Ordered a chicken fillet burger and was given a processed large chicken nugget. The chips were dry and more wilted than a bloke looking for a good time in a church (better of curb crawling)! Bloody poor and the hound turned his nose up! Personally go somewhere else and give this a miss!

What can I say, is a fish n chip shop, the cops are greatly quite nice, didn't reckon the Southern fried chicken to much.

We have just moved into Thetford and very pleased to have found this excellent little Fish and chip bar. My wife had a piece of Rock and I had a large cod, they were both very good sized portions and cooked fresh as were the chips and both could not fault.

I arrived late in Thetford and was hungry. Rumbles was closing but I was still greeted warmly and served a good meal with large portions. A good end to a stressful day

We found this place after an exhausting day at Thetford Forest. I had fish n chips large. My son had kids fish n chips - the fish was the size I’d normally have!My other son had sausage in batter and chips. £10.40 We all loved it and would deffo recommend it.

Recently moved to the area. The first impression at the shop in Methwold is that the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We phoned through an order on our last visit. The Haddock and Cod are exceptional very large portions (even the small cod will satisfy a big appetite!) beautifully cooked, no oil residue on the batter or chips (again large portions) spotlessly clean and very good value for the quality. Excellent- recommended

Visited here on Sat sep5th lunchtime. We ordered chips,savaloy,fishcake and gravy. Chips were by far the most greasiest soggiest we have ever tasted... left a really horrible taste in your mouth which we couldnt get rid of.(Like a dirty oil taste).. Savaloy was big and looked like it didnt have a skin on it. Fishcake was also really greasy and flavorless. Needless to say the majority got thrown in the bin. This is by far the worse chippy we have visited and believe me there's been some bad ones...! Have scored it 1 as the staff were quite friendly. NEVER NEVER again...!Show less

Visitó 15 de junio y pedimos salchichas y patatas fritas, bacalao. Las patatas fritas eran terribles, sólo puedo asumir que la grasa necesaria limpieza. El bacalao de compra tan grande era pequeña, la mayoría era mejor, que de nuevo fue horrible. Terminamos poniendo la mayoría de la comida en la papelera! Es una pena ya que podría ser el mejor en un tiempo atrás, pero Thetford esperar la tienda tiene gestión ahora ha cambiado. Uno para evitar! !

go here every couple of weeks for a treat, fish is cooked lovely, chips can be hit and miss, sometimes not hot, but the one thing that bugs me is the two people who serve you are always calling women darling, do they realise Norfolk people do not say that it is some thing you hear if you go to a London market, please take note

Always hot and fresh great food also the staff are friendly and helpful never have to wait long I love the fish but my other half loves battered sausages

Una tienda muy pequeño y pintoresco de la parte antigua de la ciudad, escondido entre el hotel y el High Street, era un brillante luz Retumban cálido en una noche fría helada, pero valió la pena el paseo. Bacalao, eglefino, y patatas fritas, una fracción menos de 10 libras, eran recién preparado, y muy sabroso. Sin duda nos alojaremos de nuevo allí.

La última vez que fuimos escuchar hace 1 año y fue genial. Llamé hoy para comer absolutamente basura caro y más patatas fritas hechas y una cod quemada en masa. Es muy obvio que RETUMBAN PESCADO BAR no tiene nada que ver con el funcionamiento de este lugar. Mantente bien lejos.

popped in for fish and chips after visiting the priory. Took only a couple of minutes to be served.Where we come from we've always ages to wait. The cod was massive and delicious and the chips were also perfect.

We've tried this fish and chip shop a few times and what ever we've ordered has always been freshly cooked ....delicious !

we like the fish from Rumbles especially the Haddock as they cook it for you while you wait,and their Potato wedges

The chips we received were cold and my partner was sick straight after. However I was fine and my fish was nice

If these two places are related, and it sounds as if they're brothers, then the reviews for this excellent fish and chip shop go for the on in Methwold too. Excellent tasty haddock and piles of fresh cooked delicious chips made this trip into the countryside very worthwhile! (Closed on Sundays. )

I only had chips from here, but they were great. They don't use gross animal fat like other local chippies, which makes them massively more appealing to me. They were the best chips I'd had in years, literally. I can't wait to go again the next time I'm up that way visiting family.

Poor communication and unclear with the prices matching the deals on the wall. However, the food was gorgeous ands great portion size

The best fish and chips in thetford by far tried others in thetford but this chipe tops the lot friendly staff as well ordered large cod and chips cod was so big it was enough for two people well worth a visit.

not as good a portion size as my favourite rumbles and quality was a little bit lower but will let you decide this for yourself

Great fresh fish and chips. The OAP price of £3.50 between 11.0 and 3.0 is brilliant for a substantial portion. Thoroughly reccomend.

The head cook is very friendly. Its a chip shop so what can I say< there are bad fish places I won't go back to I guess, been here about a dozen times, fish is less greasy than most

they use the best quality potatoes the chips are perfect the right price very happy the staff are plesant

Rumbles Fish Bar is a Fish & Chips Take away. We get F&C often from Rumbles and stopped by just after 5 this evening to buy our dinner. Both the fish and chips were freshly cooked just as I walked in! I did not have to wait at all. Tasty and perfectly cooked.
